It´s darkest before dawn. The book starts in the darkest moment of a child’s life but changes rapidly when the child decides to let go of his fears. He understands that he can do more than he thinks and that the future is in his own hands.Death, illness, bullying, divorce and other traumas can dramatically affect the life of a child. Through positive affirmations and vivid illustrations the author wants to empower and encourage children to never give up and always believe in themselves. There is always hope and change starts here and now!The proceeds from this e-book go directly to children’s charity, especially projects aiming to support vulnerable and abandoned children in Brazil. I am an engineer who turned entrepreneur who turned consultant who turned business manager who turned artist who turned food blogger who turned writer and illustrator. I believe that life has many lives and that nothing is impossible. I am an illustrator who loves to tell stories and a storyteller who loves to illustrate. But above all I love my little daughter that helps me enjoy life from a child’s perspective again.
Art, telling stories and creative thinking has always been a passion in my life, but it took some time before I listened to my heart and in 2010 I left a succesful business career to focus on my artistic and creative development.
I have two masters, one in engineering physics and one MBA. Recently, to get more tools and techniques, I studied at one of the most respected art schools in Brazil, Escola Panamericana de Arte e Design in Sao Paulo. But what I think really differentiates me is my creativity and that you don't study, it's something that flows and grows naturally. Art is in my blood, my grandfather was a painter and before retiring my father was a professor in Photo and Media & Communication and my mother was a professor in Textile design & Handicraft.
I think that I have had a very interesting life, but what is most important is that I love where I am right now, this moment, this place.
