Lilly & Connor's story was very quick & sweet, but the actual book wasn't really a quick read. And the writing was a bit muddled (not bad at all, just muddled). This very possibly could be a European style thing & others might find it brilliant. The cadence did remind me a bit of Betty Neels, and I ADORE her stories. And the heat level is of the fade-to-black variety, which was a bit refreshing after all the steamy books I've been reading lately! : )
So, the bones of the story are of course that Lilly is a normal every-day girl who runs into major-celebrity (& her crush), Connor, a couple of times. They strike up a friendship & then embark on a relationship & all of that happens rather quickly. Lilly is a bit self-conscious, but she's hones about these feelings & Connor is quick to be open & honest as well, that he LIKES her & wants to spend time w/ her. And things are going along fine when suddenly there is a random break up that I TOTALLY did not understand, w/in the timing or line of the story.
Other than THAT, I really enjoyed the story & the normalcy portrayed of their relationship, navigating through his job & fans & the fans SHE eventually gets. And the epilogue is super cute!! : )
