My name is Elowen, and I'm about to go into heat in the middle of the black market.

I presented as a beta my whole life, right up until my parents were killed and my body decided to rewrite itself from the inside out. They call it a late transition. Like waking up one morning as the most hunted thing on the planet is just a developmental milestone.

Since then, I've kept my head down and worked off the grid, swallowing suppressants and smiling at monsters in an attempt to stay hidden. Every day, I fill prescriptions for the very drugs they use to keep omegas like me docile, and I've swallowed every ounce of guilt that comes with it. All because the truth about what happened to my parents is buried somewhere in this world, and the only way to dig it up is to keep passing as the beta I used to be.

But the suppressants are failing. My cover is crumbling as my body turns against me in a camp full of alphas who would claim me, cage me, or worse. But my instincts have locked onto the one scent I can't resist.

He's a beta who belongs to a bonded pack that smells un-fucking-believable.

I want them.

I need them.

I just have to survive this market first.

The Silence of Lies is the fifth and final book in the Black Market Omegas series, which is set in the same world as the author’s Broken Omegas series. You do not need to read that series, or the prior books in this series, to enjoy this book. This series centers around omegas that are captured and sold to the highest bidder. Each book can be read as a standalone. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.

Tropes and themes include:
✨Why choose (mmmfm)
✨Dark omegaverse
✨Touch-starved omega
✨Learning to accept yourself
✨Omega hiding as a beta
✨Latent omega
✨Touch her and die
✨Revenge
✨Traumatized omega
✨Secret past
✨Twins in the pack
✨Hurt/comfort
✨Multi, first person POV

The Lovely: I loved how the FMC found her pack and how they were starting from a rough and confusing place. Yikes! It was perfectly dark and angst. There’s a lot going on story-wise but it never felt like too much. The pack is so supportive and caring, even when the FMC doesn’t know what to do with that attention. And, she takes care of them too when needed.

Recommendation: When a new book from this author releases I always want to drop everything else to read it immediately. This is one of my favorite series for all those angst hurt/comfort feels. I’m sad this series is over but I’m already excited for the next series. This book is a wonderful omegaverse romance if you like something dark and engaging but filled with emotion and love.

Thank you to the author Kitt Lynn for sending me an advanced reader copy of this book. All opinions are mine

I believe this is my first novel about omegaverse, so I really walked into this blind. I’m grateful the author provided a brief explanation about dynamics and terms, though I’m not sure if her other books have a similar breakdown. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting reading about alphas, betas, and omegas but I tried to keep an open mind. There really is nothing else that I can compare this to for other newbies so I’ll just rip the bandaid. This book is filthy, and I mean that as a compliment. It felt like nearly every chapter had a spicy scene. The main plot of the story is their MMMFM dynamic/ poly relationship and accepting an omega woman with trauma into their everyday life. Everything else is just background noise as it didn’t feel like it went too in-depth about the black market aspect and that’s okay. The characters just couldn’t keep their hands off each other and the author REALLY wanted you to know that. Definitely make sure you’re comfortable with some very graphic descriptions (including terms “wet/ wet folds, slick, squelching, knot(s)”). In my opinion this did not need to be close to 500 pages, I found myself getting bored with some of the mundane moments and getting over the bedroom scenes. Was it overkill? Hmm maybe if it didn’t feel like most of the action only happened in the beginning and the last few chapters

The best way I can describe my feelings towards this book would probably be that I felt constant warm fuzzies while reading the entirety of the book. There was just something about this pack that was so comforting to me. The care and love they hold for each other really jumped of the page.

The romance was absolutely wonderful, and so sweet. I loved Perrin's personality and seeing the differences in how he interacts with his brother vs his alphas vs Elowen really made me fall in love with his character all the more.

I also really enjoyed reading through them figuring out how the new pack dynamics were going to work now that Elowen was in the mix. While yes, it's technically a jealousy plotline, I wasn't bothered or annoyed by it in the slightest. It felt really organic and made total sense for those involved to have to work out the complex feelings, and I think they did so in a pretty mature manner.

Lastly, I gotta mention Mama O. I loved her character so so much. I desperately wish I could get a hug from her. Seeing how close the pack is with her really helped solidify the close knit family vibe that this pack exudes. Not to mention he personality was just awesome.

This final instalment of the series really cemented the author's work as comfort reads for me, and I can't wait to see what's coming in the future!

Silence of Lies is book five in the series and without question my favotie. If you are on the fence, here is everything you need to know.

**Tropes:**
- Omegaverse why choose
- Hidden omega
- Late transition
- Found family
- Pack dynamics
- Fated mates
- Grumpy sunshine
- Medium burn
- Murder mystery
- Forced proximity
- Male omega
- Touch her and ***

**Spice level: 3 out of 5**
This book is explicit. The intimate scenes are frequent, creative, and specific to the characters involved. If you are new to why choose or omegaverse dynamics, this is a solid entry point because the author takes time to build the emotional foundation before things get heated. If you are a veteran of the genre, you will not be disappointed.

**Content warnings:** Explicit sexual content, past parental death, on page violence, brief drug use, and one scene involving an unconscious omega that is handled with care and context.

**Bottom line:** A mystery, a pack, two omegas finding each other, and enough steam to fog your glasses. Clear your schedule before you start it.

Thank you Kitt Lynn. I got this and I was so excited to read it! Full disclosure I went into this blind. I treat blurbs as suggestions. Sometimes I read them sometimes I don’t.

For this, I did not and boy oh boy did I get the surprise of my life. Okay so I do not do well with jealousy. I get it it’s the plot but also it drove me mad a little bit and I did not honestly know where it was going because most of the books I read regarding omegas as you know is that everything is basically centered to them and well this book took me for a ride because it’s a little bit different.

Remember the line we all know? There’s a very thin line between hate and love. For this book, I felt both. It felt like I was riding a roller coaster and I couldn’t anticipate whether we were going up or down next.

Here are my scales because why not:

Face palms to the face: x10
Wanting to throw your phone away: x100
Spicy? Pretty much: x1000
Questioning my life choices: x10000

The pacing of this book was fast as most omegaverse books are so you get what you ask for.

My first dive into the omegaverse definitely did not disappoint. The Silence of Lies is a dark, why-choose romance that can be read as a standalone even though it’s part of a series. This is an MMMFM romance with a HEA, and let me just say… this book is SPICY. The spicy scenes start VERY early on and do not slow down.

I also really loved the little moments throughout the book that made the characters feel real. Raff quickly cleaning his room by throwing everything into the closet and shutting the door, only to remember he owns a hamper… honestly, same. And the sunset moment with Adam was so intimate and beautiful, it was one of my favorite scenes in the whole book.

The story came together so well by the end, and I’m really going to miss these characters. There were people I never expected to turn out good and others I definitely didn’t expect to be bad, which was a great twist for me!

Special thank you to the author for letting me read this book before the release date!

Oh my my what a book and a way to and the series!!

This one is dark, filled with angst and the love you wish you could keep.
Eliwen was hiding her 's purpose was to find who killed her parents. But things happen and she in trying to find this killer, she ends up not only a home but the love of four good men.
Cliff, Raff, and the twins Perrin and Adam. Adam though was a special case, wary and almost jelpise of her arrival, he stayed back and didn't commit as he was sick with what he thought was incurable disease. Though his love for cliff and Raff was bright and deep. His change was a surprise as it was Elowen who helped him the most

Kitt lynn out did herself with this book, the love the dude had and his she drew you into he far and then how victorious Elowen felt after. It was amazing
I'm so glad I got to be an ARC reader!!

Silence of Lies is an omegaverse that can be read as a standalone. I didn’t think it was overly dark in the grand scheme of things just a few dark scenes. Book is definitely spicy and detailed so prepare yourself.

I overall enjoyed the book. I liked the pack dynamic and enjoyed their growth with each other. Felt like this book was lacking plot because Elowens mission kind of solved itself so that was kind of anticlimactic for me. I would almost say that it had too much spice for me because I wanted more plot. I’m not saying I didn’t like the spice it was definitely fun but for an almost 500 page book I did expect more story because for me personally I started to read faster to get somewhere else.

This was a fun omegaverse!

Kitt Lynn has done it again. This book was everything 😍 Had me laughing, swooning, crying & feeling beautifully overwhelmed at the love & affection shared between the pack characters. The story was wonderfully written & I really need to read more in the black market omega series (aside from The Joy of Sorrow because I’ve read that & also gave it 5 stars 🤩)
The way I felt so protective over Elowen, her backstory was so painful but she found her new family & finally got to experience the joy she deserved. The boys, my my, they were all great in their own ways but Raff.. yes please!
The group dynamic was so good, I want to be part of a pack now! This author has such an amazing way of incorporating spice, love, trauma & difficult emotions. Cannot recommend enough 🖤

And we're back! I wasn't a huge fan of the last book (which I may revisit later), but ohhhh boy. I'm happy with this one. I love when a series/collection veers from the normal path and tells a story that's a little different. Elowen's story is just that.

Yes, this is the Black Market series, but Elowen is not a black market omega. She isn't purchased and terrified. She commands her own story and makes the best of an unfortunate situation. She has a tragic backstory. Dead parents, late presentation, a mystery to solve.

1 star off for very predictable "twists" that I saw coming from the first chapter lol

The 5th installement in The black market omegas series and didn't disapoint at all.
One omega passing as beta working in the Morder to uncover who killed her parents.
Enters into heat in the middle of the black market and is rescued by Raff's pack in a quite spetacular and dangerous way.
I love the characters development, how descriptive is of their struggles and how they care and protective are of each other.
The chemistry between them and spice is super hot.
Has sensitive themes so check the CW.

This was a really good way to end this series. Elowen has spent the last 3 years of her life hiding what her true designation is in the one place that was sell her in a heartbeat to the highest bidder. But she had a reasons for doing so. But her carefully laid playing go up in flames or should I say heat and not only does it hurt her life upside down but everyone else around her but boy is the story good though I wish it was a little more drama at the end but I enjoyed myself.

The trauma in this book is extraordinary.
Elowen's grief over her parents sits underneath every single page of this book without ever overwhelming the story. She isn't defined by what happened to her but you feel the weight of it in the choices she makes. The mystery plot is genuinely well constructed and the reveal was pretty dang good.
I cried twice.
Once at the flashback chapter, and once at the dining room table scene.
I defintly recommend.

4⭐️ Elowen and her pack are chefs kiss. I loved that the majority of the book wasn’t focused on the “poor omega” because guess what omegas can be strong and independent too! I loved each of the characters and how different they were. PLOT TWIST for dang sure! Also I loved the creativity in retribution. Spicy, drama, mystery I highly recommend.
