I can relate to Cynthia problem . I recently lost my nana and
I know she lost her mother and now that gone it's hard. Must be harder to lose your mom
Then your nana, also with Cynthia finding out she pregent with Seth baby is crazy but awesome
Because I myself am pregent. But different sisitution not the way she got pregent. I am in a long realionship over 3 years now. So building up with lost of her mom and having a baby is very emional and
Her body changing and very hormonal is hard at least Seth is doing is part to be with her and helping her and finally told her he loves her and they do make a cute couple. She having a girl, I kind of firgured cuz camron has a boy. . I hope I'm having a boy !!! Find out in end of May. There for I cried like a baby awesome work can't wait for next book hope to find out about another wedding and baby on the way and how she doing with the list of her mom .

Summit of Seduction is an emotional look into the lives of Cynthia and Seth. I'm not sure what I expected when I read the description, but what I got was so much more. The author hooks you immediately when you find yourself riding along with Cynthia and Seth to check out a new litter of puppies - reading that, you'd think you're going to have a light-hearted, sweet romance with not a lot of strife or stress. But instead, the author weaves so many complications into the storyline, before you know it you are caught up in some pretty stressful and emotional situations, and you find yourself feeling them right along with Cynthia and Seth.
I love Seth. It is just that simple. I will tell you now that I haven't read the previous book in the Stone Summit series, so certain aspects of Seth's personality may have been introduced in that book. But, I have trouble seeing him as the player that the book description, and every character in the book, portrays him. It is clear as soon as we met Seth that he is angling to form a deeper relationship with Cynthia, and as their lives are turned upside down, Seth does everything right. The author has created a hero that knows his feelings and is confident enough in his feelings to do what he needs to do to win the girl. One of my favorite quotes by Seth is, "... isn't the reason I'm trying to convince you I'm a good guy with actual feelings for you. You are the reason. I've never met anyone worth setling down for. Until you. You are every reason, Cynthia. Just you." Makes me want to swoon and find a Seth of my own. Seth is incredibly supportive of Cynthia throughout all of her issues in this story, and doesn't allow her to push him away when a weaker man would walk away when the woman he loves tries again and again to walk away, or push him away. Seth is a hero that every reader would like to have as her own!
The author uses an engaging writing style to keep the reader engaged and I especially love one part of the story where the author uses "positives" to be negative. Cynthia is reading about the potential "positive" results of a situation, and surmises that its only positive if you are assuming the person in the situation sees a positive result as a positive situation - which she does not. She talks about "positives that aren't positive at all..." I can't say more without providing spoilers but the author really does a wonderful job of conveying the angst that Cynthia was feeling throughout the story.
This is a difficult book to provide specifics in a review about without providing spoilers, but sufficed to say, this is an emotionally compelling story about two people who feel they aren't suited for each other, when the reality is they may not be suited for anyone else. Elena Aitken provides us a fantastic new visit into the lives of the residents of Cedar Springs and gives us a check-in on several of our favorite residents from previous books and an inkling of what may be to come in future visits to Cedar Springs.

Summit of Seduction is another beautiful love story by Elena Aitken. It has love, uncertainy, sorrow and loss and touches every emotion inside you as you read. I have loved all of Ms Aitken’s books and recommend every series as they build on each other and old friends are brought along into the new books.

Summit of Seduction is Elena Aitken’s second book in her Stone Summit series. Cynthia Giles is going through a rough time. She’s just had what she believed was a one night stand on New Year’s eve, her mother is ill and then she discovers she’s pregnant. Seth McBride is the general manager at Stone Summit the local ski hill. He’s pretty much a confirmed bachelor until Cynthia gets under his skin. He shares a dog with Cynthia that’s just had puppies. This brings them closer after the New Year’s Eve they spent together as she cares for the dogs. They discover that the dog has brought them together for a reason. Summit of Seduction is a book about learning how to deal with grief along with making a future and forging ahead. I loved how Seth accepted the pregnancy and how he took care of Cynthia after her mother’s death. This is a great addition to the series. It is a standalone book but there are references to characters from the first book in the series. This is a quick read that I highly recommend. I’d like to disclose that I received a copy of Summit of Seduction in exchange for a fair and honest review.

On New Years Eve, Cynthia Giles finds herself hooking up with Seth McBride. Oh what a night, little did they know it would changes their lives forever. Seth is a player only looking for one night stands; however, there is something about Cynthia that keeps Seth thinking of her. One day a stray Husky shows up at Stone Summit and has puppies in the Maintenance Shed. Seth goes into town to Cynthia's store to get dog food on Valentine's Day and invites her to visit the Momma and puppies. Immediately Cynthia bonds with the Mother and she names her Nala. At the time Cynthia doesn't realize why she bonded with Nala until she discovers she is expecting Seth's baby. Is she and their child enough for the player to settle down? I highly recommend this book and all the books in the trilogy!

Cute made me cry
But it got my hopes up only to disappoint. I want real longing and real emotional reactions. Her mother's reaction made me hopeful that an aspect of that situation that is rarely explored would be highlighted. But no, Aitken backs down. The plot was low stakes, the writing was decent, the world building was a callback, the characters are as real and deep as a sheet of paper, and the pacing dragged at the end. So overall, there was potential but more focus was placed on weaving it into a series rather than making it a good book.

Cynthia Giles had no idea why she agreed to go with Seth McBride. Leave with him to go in his truck on Valentine’s Day up to Stone Summit to check on some puppies. After their fantastic night on New Year’s Eve, Cyn thought they shared something special, especially because she loved dreaming about them. The first time was fast, hard, and raunchy, but just what they both had been lusting for all night. The second night they met up, it was just as hot, but it was slow, sensual, and boarder on something Cyn was too afraid to name at the time.
Then she saw Seth having dinner with another woman between then and now, and she was not having it. It shattered her. Cyn never saw the woman’s face, but it crushed her. She was stupid enough to allow what Seth does to her body when he’s near to affect her judgment. To the point where Cyn lets Seth back into her heart again on Valentine’s Night. When she got all weepy. Seth took it as an opening to start kissing her. She just couldn’t. Cyn didn't want to be that girl who allowed herself to only be a man's booty call and not his forever. However, things go south quickly.
As Cynthia’s mom’s breast cancer progresses at a rapid speed, getting away from the store seems harder almost too hard, and with her wanting to spend time with the pups, Cyn is exhausted. She can’t lie though she likes the quiet time she and Seth spend in the evening with the pups when she goes to visit and they talk and laugh together alone. When she starts to be sensitive to smells like coffee and eggs. She’s not sure what’s going on then out of the blue she falls asleep right before closing when it is slow. Then, finds herself sick in the morning when trying to take in her mom’s morning tray. Jesse her mom’s care person mentions the possibility that she might be PG. Her response was, Not. Possible. Never.
Let me get this straight Kylie is supposed to be her best friend? I’m sorry, I don't think so. Friends don’t hurt friends. On the ski lift, when she and Cyn ride alone, she says some mean and hurtful things about Seth the father of her child and the man she loves. Planting doubt again in Cyn’s mind.
Three pregnancy tests later...
What happens? Does she tell Seth? The eternal bachelor, has Seth indeed fallen in love with Cyn? Does Seth want to settle down with Cyn? Will Seth want to be a father?
Such a good book. Strong characters. Some of them you want to shake at times, others you want to hug, and still others you want to yell at. Now, that’s a sign of a good book to bring about that much emotion.

I picked up Summit of Seduction via ebook solely because it was next on my TBR pile (with seven more Elena Aitken books waiting, ugh), but man, this one was a monotonous slog. This contemporary romance feels like a repetitive rehash of tropes I didn’t need, and it left me bored and unimpressed.
The story leans hard into the “surprise baby” trope, which is already a hard pass for me—it just never lands well. Add to that a heavy dose of the miscommunication trope, and I was rolling my eyes nonstop. The female main character (FMC) and male main character (MMC) are caught in this exhausting loop of him being a “player” and her being “different,” but it’s so overdone and predictable that it felt like a broken record. The constant back-and-forth about their misunderstandings dragged the story down, making it frustrating to read.
Even though it’s a short book, it still felt too long. There’s so little substance here—nothing worth sinking your teeth into. The supposed “emotional” moments fell completely flat, coming off as dry and tasteless instead of heartfelt. I wanted to feel something for the characters, but they were bland, and their journey lacked any real spark or depth. The romance itself was forgettable, with no chemistry to make up for the tired tropes.
Aimed at adults, Summit of Seduction might appeal to readers who love quick, trope-heavy romances and don’t mind a lack of emotional weight. But for me, it was a chore to get through, and I’m dreading the rest of Aitken’s books on my TBR if they’re this monotonous. If you’re looking for a romance with depth or genuine feels, skip this one—it’s not worth the time.

Over The Rainbow 🌈
A heartfelt story of a young woman starting a new life while nursing her mother who's life is coming to a close. Cancer is brutal! Not everyone is fortunate to conquer and survive the battle. Sadly you watch it eat away at your loved one, praying for a cure, for more time or for their suffering to end. Cynthia was fortunate to have Seth and Nala to hold her up during this journey, and to get the beginning of a happy ever after. No cheating or cliffhanger. Enjoy 🤓

Kindle freebie. Silly, even by romance standards. Very clear that everyone in The Springs has slept with everyone else, and has betrayed their friends, who always forgive them. This one had a sad dying mom who won't ever meet her surprise grandchild.

I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the books from the Springs series, that I've read. Elena Aitken has a way of drawing you into the lives of the characters and feel as though you're living the story with them. They're easy to read but with relatable characters. This story was no different. I cried, laughed and was surprised along with Cynthia. I loved this story.

It was okay but could’ve done with more depth. Things were conveniently solved and Cynthia’s characterisation was all over the place. Seth’s switch from playboy to wanting forever with Cynthia was sudden too. It was a sweet concept but the execution was a bit unrealistic and superficial.

It is a very good book and very well written other than the language. It is a very emotional look into the lives of Cynthia and Seth and all of the things they had to go through to get to where they are at the end of the book. I'm not sure what I expected when I read the description, but what I got was so much more. I was hooked immediately. I thought I was going to have a light-hearted, sweet romance with not a lot of stress and heart break . But instead, she brings so many complications and surprises, before you know it you are caught up in stressful emotional situations, and you are feeling them right along with Cynthia.
I did not that get to read the previous book in the Stone Summit series, so I probably have missed some important in that book. I did think Seth was playing Cynthia in the beginning. He was always there through everything she had to go through. He told her she was the reason he'd never met anyone worth settlng down with. Seth is very supportive of Cynthia through all she goes through in this story, and doesn't allow her to push him away. Seth is a hero that every reader would like to have as her own!

I think the words dam and hell was over used and it took away from the love story and some of the other choice of words were did not add to the book. Ordinary I would not have finished a book with language like this but I promised I would read it and I did, I also got caught up in the story line. I have read her books before and I don't remember these choices of words. Don't get me wrong it is a very good book and would be even better without the use of a lot of these words. It is a very good book and very well written other than the language. If she left out the bad language I do not think it would take away from the story I think it would make it a better book and she would sell more copies. I'm really enjoying Elena Aitken's Stone Summit Trilogy. She definitely never disappoints with any of her books.
In Summit of Seduction Seth manages the Stone Summit ski hill that Malcolm Stone owns. He's known for being a hard worker and a player in his dating life. He's not looking for long term, but something about Cynthia makes him rethink his wants and needs. Looking to the future seems to be more interesting now with the possibility of Cynthia in it.
Cynthia is busy running her family market and taking care of her mother who is dying from Cancer. She doesn't have time for a serious relationship even though she wants the fairy tale husband, children and white picket fence. She finds herself drawn to Seth and on New Years she does something that she has never done. She threw caution to the wind and in spite of Seth's bad boy history spent the night with him. Now they can't seem to stay away from each other.
When Cynthia needs Seth to step up and take responsibility and help her through a rough patch she is actually surprised that he does because Cynthia has no experience with that. Seth proves to her that he can be relied on and trusted when she needs him the most. Now all he has to do is prove to her is that he loves her and will be here for the long haul.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this trilogy.

She finds herself drawn to Seth and on New Years she does something that she has never done. She threw caution to the wind and in spite of Seth's bad boy history spent the night with him. Now they can't seem to stay away from each other.
When Cynthia needs Seth to step up and take responsibility and help her through a rough patch she is actually surprised that he does because Cynthia has no experience with that. Seth proves to her that he can be relied on and trusted when she needs him the most. Now all he has to do is prove to her is that he loves her and will be here for the long haul.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this trilogy.

Laughter, tears, joy all in one!!
Elena Aiken has become one of my favorite authors and Summit of Seduction is an example of why she deserves this to be. This book had me right away and to the very end I didn’t want to put it down and only had a problem reading at the end through my tears. She has a way of making the characters so true to life that you feel they are your friends, people you know and can relate to. This time she has me falling in love with the main male character Seth McBride!!
It starts with Cynthia Giles dealing with her mother in poor health and with bills piling up. Then she finds out she is pregnant and the person she is pregnant with isn’t exactly the type of man who usually stands up since he’s a real ladies man. But as the story goes along Seth turns out to be more than just a ladies man. The story is very tender and sweet. There are some very touching moments with the reality of dealing with her mother’s illness. Also, if you have read any of the other stories in the Summit Trilogy it brings back several other characters which is also fun to read about.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommended it. I was given this book to read for an honest review and I can honestly say, I LOVED it.

When we were first introduced to Cynthia, I will admit, I wasn’t too sure about her. She had this thing with Jax and then she set up Bria to take a fall. I knew there were redeeming qualities about her by reading the books, but I still wasn’t convinced about my feelings for her one way or another. Elena sure changed that! This book probably was one of my biggest surprises. You are left doing some soul searching. I am usually touched by sentiment and emotion and I shed a few tears and there when the book is really good. From the beginning I felt this tie to her. I felt her despair and her fight. I felt her loyalty and her strength because I can personally identify with her struggles. Seth reminded me so much of my own husband. He was sweet and patient and kind. He gave of himself to help another find the things in life that they need. These kinds of men truly exist because I am married to one of them. I think I have a new favorite book from Elena. I just love the perspective she wrote from. I loved the purpose. I felt every emotion. I laughed and cried and cheered these characters on. I think you will find the same things I did with this book and I can promise you, this might just be your new favorite too!

Cynthia isn't having the best time right now. Her mother is terminally ill, her business is adding stress, and now Seth is acting like he's interested. Which can't possibly be true. Seth is a womanizer and can't stick with one woman for long. Cynthia found this out the hard way. After going on a date with him, she walks into a restaurant to find him on date with another woman the very next day. Sadly Cynthia doesn't learn her lesson and this happened twice. She's not about to let it happen again. But puppies, a sick mom, and best friends moving have a way of pulling the unlikeliest people together.
The story was short, but entertaining. I enjoyed the interaction between the couple and romance was sweet. The author was able to weave the romantic in with the sad and have it mesh well. While parts were sad, it didn't bring down the whole book. And the relationship between the couple didn't lesson the depths of grief the characters felt either. It was nicely done and romance readers will enjoy getting another look into the lives of the people from this series.

This is another fantastic read by the amazing and talented Elena Aitken. I always seem so say that her current book is my favorite, but this is no lie because every single book some gets under my skin and becomes my new favorite. I fall in love with the characters over and over and can't ever get enough of them.
In this book, Seth is a confirmed bachelor, he can't settle down and doesn't want to. That all changes after a one night stand with a sassy little red head. Cynthia normally doesn't do one night stands but there is something about Seth that she just can't stay away from.
Cynthia is busy between work and taking care of her sick mom and soon finds out she is carrying Seth's child. She also falls in love with a mother dog and her new litter of puppies. She has so much on her plate and can't imagine adding Seth to the mix, but the pull between these 2 is just to strong to deny.
You will be hooked from the first page and find yourself loving everyone. I hated seeing the book come to an end and can't wait for it to pick up where it left off!

I absolutely adore this book!!! I have to start by saying that Elena Aitken is one of my all time favorite authors, and if you have not read any of her books, you really should be! Any time one of her books comes out, I don't even have to read the summary I just automatically start reading it! Her books are filled with so much emotion and they seriously touch my heart. Elena's books never disappoint! She has such an amazing way of writing that just draws you in and keeps you there until the very last page. She literally puts you inside the book.
I was so excited to read Seth and Cynthia's story! The chemistry between these two is undeniable. Their characters are so lovable you find yourself rooting for their happily ever after throughout the whole book. They are the perfect couple.
You MUST read Summit of Seduction! But don't stop there, you really must read ALL of The Springs books! I can NOT wait for the next one!!!

This was a great addition to the Stone Summit Trilogy. I loved reading about Cynthia and Seth (especially after the epilogue in the first book). Elena was able to bring out the emotions that Cynthia experienced during her struggle to believe in Seth and dealing with her mom's cancer. Seth is such a great guy! I loved how he just naturally fell into his place in Cynthia's life. There was little drama, for which I was thankful. I kept waiting for there to be some misunderstanding about a girl towards the end (you know the inevitable craziness that ensues with some stories), but it didn't come. The turmoil that the characters did go through was completely in line with the story. I also loved how Elena included snippets of other characters for The Springs so we could get glimpses into their lives.

I received an advance copy of this book for my honest review. This is the story of Cynthia and Seth. Overall, this is a good book. I do like that Cynthia is a strong character and she basically makes Seth work to earn her love. There is some sadness in the book so you will need tissues. I would have liked a little more storyline though as part of the book dragged a bit with too much said about the stray dog and her puppies. It is a standalone story but it's always good to hear from previous characters from The Springs. I'm giving this book 4 stars as I do like the book. I would suggest to read the other books in this series to get the whole picture.

This story is very sweet. It it the story of Seth, and Cynthia. They have many issues to overcome, the story is very realistic, you can imagine it happening for real, which for me at least is very satisfying. I thought that the way everyone rallied round when Cynthia needed to be at home with her dying mother was lovely, something that does happen in small communities. It was a shame though that Linda and Suzy Crosswell, the owner of the bakery didn't settle their differences before Linda died. It was mentioned two or three times so I thought it was coming at the end, to add another layer to the story.
Quite sad in places, but a satisfying read, worth 4.5 stars.

Cynthia a hardworking woman who has more responsibilities than a young woman should, and Seth the Manager of a Ski resort who is a player at heart. No woman has ever gotten to him, that is until Cynthia. Cynthia stays away from Seth knowing that he is a man for all women and never going to settle down, or is he? Elena tells a wonderful story of two people both going down different paths until something happens that has their paths crossing once again. You will laugh, you will cry and you will want to see where they end up. I really enjoyed this book and I know you will too.
