Megan has lived her whole life in the shadow of her best friend. Natasha is wealthy, popular, beautiful... and never lets Megan forget it. When Megan's unrequited crush chooses Natasha over her, it's just more proof that Natasha is better than she is... Until a fateful encounter while putting the bins out changes everything.

Megan meets Liam, a down-to-earth and ridiculously handsome refuse operative. He's all wrong on paper - he's ten years younger; he rides a motorbike and is completely out of Megan's league - yet he feels so right.

Liam can't believe someone as smart, funny and sexy as Megan can be so lacking in self-confidence. He invites her into his world, shining a light on the brilliance she cannot see and inspiring her to believe in herself for the first time in a long time.

Their relationship turns out to be everything they didn't know they needed, and both Megan and Liam quickly find themselves infatuated with one another.

Megan's newfound happiness brings out the ugly side of Natasha and when her 'best friend' begins to show her true colours, Megan has to decide whether to stand up for herself and believe in everything Liam sees in her, or to continue to allow her friend to drag her down.

Will the power of Liam's love and support be enough to give Megan the strength to take out the trash for good?

Trashy by K.L. Thorne.

Megan’s entire life has been lived in the shadow of her best friend Natasha. Natasha – wealthy, popular, and beautiful Natasha…and Natasha never allows Megan forget who’s the top dog in their friendship. And when Megan’s unrequited crush chooses Natasha over Megan, in Megan’s eye’s it’s just yet another sign and more proof that Natash is better than she is. At least until Megan has a single encounter while she’s putting her bins out, it’s that encounter that changes everything.

In that encounter Megan meets Liam. He’s this down-to-earth, ridiculously handsome man who picks up all the refuse. In Megan’s mind Liam is all wrong – Liam is 10 years younger than her; he loves to ride motorcycles, and on top of that Megan believes that he’s totally out of her league – and yet when she’s close to him, he just feels so right to be with.

Liam is shocked that someone who is smart, funny and desirable as Megan is lacks in self-confidence. He can’t understand it. So, Liam invites Megan into his world, he shines a light on the brilliance he sees in her that for some reason she can’t see and Liam helps Megan to start believing in herself and helps to build her self-confidence for the first time in as long as Megan can remember.

As Liam and Megan’s relationship grows and their bond grows, they slowly start to realize that their relationship is truly everything they both didn’t know they each needed, and both Megan and Liam very quickly find themselves intoxicated with one another.

It’s not all smooth sailing for Liam and Megan though. When Natasha sees Megan’s newfound happiness it brings out Natasha’s ugly side. And when Megan’s so called best-friend starts to show her true colours, it’s up to Megan to decide if she’s going to finally stand up for herself, for Liam, for her happiness and her relationship or if she is going to let Natasha walk all over her like she’s always done.

Megan had been working from home when she first saw Liam and thought that he was the sexiest man she had ever seen and after that she spent every week looking out for him, just wanting to catch a glimpse of him.

Liam was just a simple garbage man, he’d glimpsed Megan and thought she was the most desirable woman ever when she honked her horn at him trying to get him to get the bins out her way.

When they finally meet and end up together the chemistry is off the charts hot. But Liam is far from happy about the way Natasha treats Megan. He sees the way Natasha is constantly putting Megan down and he quickly realizes that Natasha is the reason Megan has such a low self-confidence. Natasha even stooped as low as to follow him to the bar when he went to get drinks to try and convince him that Megan was no good for him, that she’s just trying to be a friend, and that he just wants both of them to be happy. And she knows that they’re not going to be happy together.

Liam is finally able to convince Megan to go away with him for a weekend, and Megan’s friend’s dad allows them to use his families summer home. And it’s over the course of that weekend that Megan takes the blinders off and not only starts to see herself the way Liam see’s her but she starts to see Natasha the way she truly is and the way she’s really like.

I have to say that “Trashy” was really a surprise. From Liams unusual job, that it was actually down to earth vs. something fancy and big money. The chemistry that Liam and Megan share. Their smexy moments are out of this world hot as sin and that added to their relationship and their bond. And I have to say that I absolutely adored the reverse age-gap and that it wasn’t a problem between Liam and Megan.

If you love a great meet-cute, a shy, trying to break out of her shell FMC, an MMC who will do anything to keep his woman happy, a best friend who is nothing trashy then this is the book that you want to read ASAP! I promise this book is laugh out loud fun. Any book by K.L. Thorne is worth the read.

During a long awaited work from home day, standing casually near the window with her cup in hand wondering if she had put her trash on the curb for collection. Megan happens to see one of the sexiest men she had ever laid eyes on. Blonde with the deepest blue eyes and the body of Hercules. Watching him lift her trash had her body overheating if only she could have the chance to be with someone like him. But that was wishful thinking, so back to work she went.

Megan aka Megs is a shy, beautiful, kind-hearted woman who lives alone. She has three close rich friends that seem to be the only thing keeping her a float. Her family is middle class so she works for everything that she has unlike her friends. Natasha is the boss of the friend group, everything has to revolve around her. Fiona is the shadow of Natasha but will state her distaste for anyone else. Darius is the life of every party and the energy of the group.

Liam is a garbage collector who is not ashamed of his day job, enjoying the physical side of the work. He’s honest by default, somewhat of a player and not looking to settle into a relationship anytime soon. The day he first sees Megs she is being a jerk to them by blowing her horn for them to get out of her way so that she can get to work. In her shy way, Megs avoids eye contact with Liam and when the coast is clear she hurriedly passes them.

In “Trashy,” author K. L. Thorne does a wonderful job in pulling the reader into the book by sharing the backstory of each character. The slow burn of what is happening in the friend group keeps you wanting to find out more and if Megan will ever figure out what is going on around her. There used to be a saying: with friends like those who need enemies. My advice is to watch out who you call your friend. Blazing hot love scenes, I’m still fanning myself.

This was definitely a page turner for me. I loved the characters and could have read more about them. Great work with explaining the scenery, not too over done, leaving you bored. Once I started this book I could barely put it down. I noticed that the author wrote some of the words like they spell them in the UK. I really enjoyed that part. Overall I highly recommend reading this awesome book!

I rated this 3.5 stars

Did I love the cover and title? Yes! Were Megan and Liam super cute? Yes. Did I love that Megan gained her confidence? Absolutely.

Megan is a total hot mess with a good heart and terrible friends. She’s financially stretched, overworked, and far too gracious toward people who chip away at her confidence. Then comes Liam...he’s younger, steady, rides a motorcycle, and is unexpectedly sweet. Their chemistry is instant and watching him see Megan’s worth before she does was everything.

The pacing is fast, with “I love you” by chapter eight, but it works. The drama never tips into angst; instead, it’s about Megan learning to stand tall and choose herself. Natasha’s toxicity makes the payoff even better when Megan finally walks away and builds a life that feels real and loved.

It’s spicy, funny, and surprisingly gentle underneath the chaos. I adored seeing Megan find confidence without losing her messy charm.

A quick, low‑angst romance where the girl gets the guy, the growth, and the friends who matter. Definitely a binge‑worthy read.

Megan was working from home when she saw the most sexy bin man she’d ever seen each week she would look out for him
Liam was a bin man he was hoping to see the sexy woman who hocked her horn at the dust cart telling them to move out the way
When they finally meet up it’s electric but his really not happy with her friend Natasha she’s always putting Megan down she even went up to the bar were he was getting drinks and she told him that Megan was no good for him and that’s meant to be her friend
They ago away for a weekend at her friends dads summer let and that’s when Megan sees for herself what Natasha is really like
Great book would recommend it

Trashy is a standalone by K.L. Thorne.

I loved seeing these two come together. Megan has some toxic friends, most specifically Natasha, in her life which bring her down and make her act differently. It's interesting how they thought Liam was out of her league, because he was oh so hot, but once they found out he was a bin man, suddenly she was too good for him. Those kinds of people need to get out of your life stat. Even though there was a lot of negativity, I loved how Liam made Megan feel special and loved. He was charming and loveable. I loved seeing these two fall in love and not let others try to tear them apart.

OMG I was feeling like I wanted to jump into these pages to fight for Megan. Her friends I was just taken aback by how they acted. I'm glad that she does have the right friends that build her up. I loved how she was not a super serious character and had moments where I chuckled at some situations. I am loving these stories where the couples are a bit unconventional, older FMC with younger MMC. Liam's admiration for Megan was amazing to read.

Trashy was a nice surprise indeed. I loved the inusual job Liam has, nothing fancy but a very down-to-earth one, just as him, and the chemistry he and Megan have. Their sexy moments are hot as hell and added to their relationship. Another fantastic detail was the age-gap situation even if it wasn’t a huge problem between them.
Different and steamy, it made me have a very good time.

This book was a great read. I loved seeing how Liam brought Megan out of her shell, built her up and made her feel strong, confident and loved. And together they blossomed into a beautiful couple despite jobs, age and looks. Plus who doesn’t enjoy a hot ripped young stud.
I knew Megan’s friends would be spoiled and problematic from the start, especially Natasha. She went to great lengths to belittle Megan but got what was coming to her in the end.

This was such a lovely read, Megan was such a nice person but some of her friends were not so nice and contributed to her low self esteem, she definitely made the right decision by keeping the relationship quiet, when they first started going out. And Liam, what an absolute treat he was, ripped, bike riding hunk with a total heart of gold, I loved it when he stood up for Megan and wouldn't let her 'friend' bring her down.

Sometimes women have "friends" that don't deserve the name. Megan has a group of friends and one such "friend" who it takes her awhile to really see. Liam is a fantastic character who is what he appears to be. I love his no nonsense approach while being honest and truthful. This book takes a look at how some people treat others. This small look at how society and social status can affect behavior made this a fun read.

Liam was all the green flags. Protective and supportive. He brought Megan out of her shell. Megan started off as shy and timid but with Liam there to always tell her how worthy she was, she finally stood up for herself.

Trashy

Holy wow. I absolutely adore Liam and Megan. How I wish had someone that loves as deeply as Liam and sticks up for me like him. Also low-key loving bin men. I have some feelings towards Natasha and they are strong!! Not the good kind either. an absolutely fantastic read as always.
