BORROWED SKINPower is a loan. The ancestors have come to collect.

Zion Vance is a god in a ten-thousand-dollar suit. As a cold-blooded tech CEO, he’s spent his life finessing his way to the top, treating women like trophies and his "brothers" like stepping stones. He believes he’s untouchable—until he treats the wrong woman like trash in his penthouse.

With one breath of ancient powder, Zion’s world is dismantled.

He wakes up trapped inside a body he doesn't a breathtakingly beautiful woman named Erzulie. But he isn't in control. He is a passenger in his own skin, forced to feel every sensation as a vengeful goddess takes his new body on a "Revenge Tour" through his life. From the boardroom to his mother’s living room, Zion is forced to endure the same disrespect and violation he spent years handing out to others.

His money is gone. His firm is lost. And the people he loves most are being used to settle a debt written in blood.

In this psychological thriller, Zion Vance will learn that when you spend a lifetime playing king, you eventually have to meet the one who truly wears the crown. And she isn’t looking for an apology—she’s looking for a vessel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book & I was hooked from the first chapter. Didn’t want to stop reading.

Was definitely a psychological horror with themes of:

Betrayal
Violence
Supernatural
Ancestors

Borrowed Skin was about a businessman who in his head had it all. His past came to taunt him & he realised that karma is really going to get you one way or another.

You must always treat people well because you never know when your day will come.

Mannnnnn I literally read this in one day. I could not put this book down.

I love originality and I love to not know what’s next story wise. And this did just that. I couldn’t wait to read what the next wild thing Erzulie was going to do

The ending definitely shocked me… spoiler alert

This psychological thriller follows Zion through a twisted journey of manipulation, obsession, and identity that blurs the line between self and others. The surreal, astral projection-like elements keep you questioning what’s real, and the toxic relationships are uncomfortably magnetic.
Zion learns a brutal lesson: when you do bad by people, you can lose everything.

Trigger warnings: Psychological manipulation, toxic relationships, identity distortion, intense power dynamics.
It’s dark, disturbing, and stayed with me long after I finished. Not a cozy read—but if you love psychological thrillers that push boundaries and mess with your head, this is a must-read.

Whew! This book will take you through it!!! Take a look at the triggers for sure. I’m a little unhinged, so I never read the trigger warnings.

This book had me intrigued from the cover to the epilogue. Uzziah said it best — be careful how you handle people. You never know who’s carrying the powder.

Very good read. Can’t wait to read The Book of Goddess!
