The suspense in this one !!
I have to admit I wasn’t sure where this one was going to go after reading the first book. Was a relationship between 4 cowboys and a feisty fmc going to actually work?
Well it absolutely did !

Spicy romantic suspense for the win!!

I loved this second book!
It picks up right where the first book left off with that brutal cliffhanger, keeping you glued to the pages as you desperately try to find out how the story unfolds and whether Beau, Jasper, Lincoln and Lawson manage to find Abigail.
I really enjoyed the action and tension in this part.
I loved Beau, Jasper, Lincoln and Lawson even more in this second part!
They’re super protective and sweet yet passionate, and they're willing to do anything to ensure that Abigail finally feels safe and can live her life in peace.
There are also more intimate and affectionate scenes between Abigail and the boys, as well as playful and heartfelt moments between the boys themselves.
I really liked the ending, which saw Abigail and her boys get their well-deserved happy ending!

My Rating: ★★★★★

Finding Peace by S.R Clark is an emotionally powerful contemporary romance that blends healing, found family, suspense, and deeply devoted relationships into a story that feels both comforting and heartbreakingly intense. Centred around recovery, safety, and the fight to protect the life that has finally begun to feel like home, the novel delivers a reading experience filled with emotional vulnerability, unwavering loyalty, and high emotional stakes.

The novel balances softness and tension exceptionally well. While there are moments of warmth, healing, and genuine peace scattered throughout the narrative, there is also an ever-present sense of danger lingering beneath the surface. The knowledge that the enemy is still watching creates constant emotional pressure, making the stakes feel very real without overwhelming the quieter, more character-driven moments. Rather than relying solely on external conflict, the story focuses heavily on emotional survival and the difficult process of learning how to truly feel safe again.

One of the strongest aspects of Finding Peace is its emotional weight. The themes of trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and recovery are handled in a way that feels impactful without losing the heart of the story. The characters are flawed, damaged, and fiercely protective of one another, which makes their emotional growth throughout the novel feel incredibly satisfying. The balance between vulnerability, romance, and suspense creates a story that feels immersive from beginning to end.

The pacing flows naturally, allowing enough time for emotional moments to fully land while still maintaining tension throughout the narrative. Combined with the strong relationship dynamics and emotional storytelling, the result is a book that becomes incredibly difficult to put down. In all honesty, if I could rate this 10 out of 10 stars, I absolutely would as it really just ticked all the right boxes for me.

I would strongly recommend Finding Peace to readers who enjoy emotionally driven romance, found family dynamics, protective love interests, reverse harem relationships, healing journeys, and stories that balance softness with suspense. Readers looking for romance with both emotional depth and genuine relationship development will likely find themselves completely invested in this story.

Overall, this is a deeply emotional, heartfelt, and captivating romance that explores what it truly means to heal, love, and fight for peace after surviving darkness. With powerful character connections, emotional vulnerability, and unwavering devotion at its core, Finding Peace delivers a story that lingers long after the final page.

ARC REVIEW
Finding Peace by S.R. Clark
⭐⭐⭐⭐¼ (4.25/5)

After that cliffhanger at the end of Chasing Freedom, I was absolutely dying to know what happened next for Abigail and the men of Willow Creek Ranch. Thankfully, Finding Peace picks up right where the first book leaves off, making it easy to dive right back into their world.

One of my favorite things about this duology is that the relationships between Abigail, Beau, Jasper, Lawson, and Lincoln remain remarkably drama-free. Their love for each other is solid, and none of them waste time questioning what they have or worrying about outside opinions. While there may be a few whispers around town, the people who matter most are immediately supportive and happy for them. I loved the complete lack of relationship conflict because it allowed the story to focus on strengthening the bonds that were already there. It feels like a relationship built to last.

As with the first book, I found it incredibly easy to root for this group because I genuinely like all of them. Abigail continues to be my favorite kind of heroine—strong but soft. She never views herself as a victim of her circumstances, but as someone determined to survive and move forward.

Beau, Jasper, Lawson, and Lincoln all have distinct personalities that make them memorable, but what stood out most to me this time was what they share in common: their devotion to Abby, their commitment to protecting their family, and their willingness to do whatever it takes to stay together. The emotional support they offer each other creates such a comforting dynamic. And yes, the chemistry is still very much chemistry-ing.

Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion to Abigail, Beau, Jasper, Lawson, and Lincoln's story. I closed the final page feeling confident in their future and happy with where their journey ended.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC!

Finding Peace is the conclusion to the Willow Creek Ranch duet written by S.R. Clark. I want to thank the author for the ability to read this ARC. Honestly, I was still thinking about Chasing Freedom well after I closed the final page. These characters just stuck with me. It is a true testament to the descriptive storytelling and visuals created by the author. Finding Peace picked up right where the cliffhanger ended. So we jumped right back in with both feet. This is not to be read as a standalone. You must start from the beginning of this cowboy reverse harem.

I was so excited to be invited back to Willow Creek Ranch. I really love Lawson, Lincoln, Jasper, Beau, and Abbie. Each relationship brings a unique element to the character development and storyline. I wanted Abigail and her cowboys to find the peace they all deserve. Every emotion that I experienced felt more intense because the relationships were established in the previous book. All of them worked to keep Abigail safe and feel loved. The plot was still suspenseful and twisty. The spice was top tier spicy. Everything I have come to expect and love from S.R. Clark.

Everything just made sense in this book. Each one of them started to feel settled to me. The questions that were raised previously were answered almost flawlessly. I did not feel like there were any loose ends. I have come to really enjoy S.R. Clark books and will recommend this series to anyone in their cowboy era. I am sad to say good bye to Willow Creek, but excited to see what comes next.

Finding Peace is the exciting high stakes conclusion to the Willow Creek romance duet. This is a why choose romance with a beautiful rural ranch setting and the steam and tension are higher. You need to have read Chasing Freedom first as this is not a standalone.

I don’t want to give spoilers but we know Chasing Freedom ended on a cliff hanger, so Finding Peace dives right into that action. Lawson, Lincoln, Jasper, and Beau gather their strength and pull their resources to keep Abigail safe. We also are introduced to someone important to Abigail that she thought was long gone. The threat of Miles Keller looms large and he will stop at nothing to take the Willow Creek land.

I loved the pacing and excitement of this story. We get to explore each character more in depth. The feelings the men have for Abigail and she for them felt genuine and heartfelt. We also get more interaction with the characters from the Vittori Enterprises series, but you need not have read that series to understand what’s happening in this one.

If you enjoyed Chasing Freedom you will love this exhilarating conclusion. And if you haven’t read Chasing Freedom yet take this as your sign to read and enjoy both. I look forward to reading whatever S.R. Clark writes next.

The perfect ending for this duet! The last book left us with that nail biter of a cliff hanger and this one gives you the rescue, answers you were dying for, shows exactly how far Beau, Jasper, Lincoln, and Lawson are willing to go to keep Abbie and safe and make it so she never has to look over her shoulder again, and guarantees Abbie will always know what home feels like and never question how much she’s loved, and it doesn’t get better.
I loved this book to pieces! You get so much understanding about the guys and the why and the how of who they are, Abbie is settled and safe and happy in a way she’s never been and sinks into the trust and the care she’s found with her cowboys, and it gives you just the right amount of danger and touch her and die. There’s more depth, more sweet, and oodles of love and literally the HEA is so good and so right for Abbie and her men, such a well done read from S.R. Clark.

After finishing Chasing Freedom back in March I’ve been desperate to get my hands on Finding Peace, I love and hate a cliffhanger in equal measures but I’m not very patient and I needed to know what happened to Abigail!

And now I know.

I really enjoyed this duet, this book was less heavy on the trauma and more focused on Abigail’s relationship with her cowboys. It’s definitely stuffed with spicy scenes and they don’t disappoint but also lots of the emotional side of things too. I love a surprise pregnancy and seeing Lincoln, Lawson, Jasper and Beau tend to Abigail’s every pregnant whim was *chefs kiss*. The ending was lovely and the epilogue tied it all up perfectly.

If you love rugged cowboys who go weak at the knees for their girl and a spicy why choose with some tension and suspense I’d definitely give the Willow Creek Ranch duet a read.

Book 2 in the Willow Creek Ranch Duet

🍯 Why Choose Romance
🍯 Cowboys
🍯 FMC Rebuilding
🍯 Sweet Pet Names
🍯 The Grandest of Romantic Gestures
🍯 Surprise Baby
🍯 Suspense
🍯 Found Family
🍯 Touch Her & ☠️

Ah! I love a cozy why choose romance. Just love it. And while this has all kinds of exciting stuff (murder, suspense, action), to me, when the FMC and her men are solid throughout the whole book with no 3rd act breakup, that’s cozy. They are SOLID.

These men are incredible. Between the 4 of them, they give Abigail every thing she needs and so many things she didn’t know she needed. Safety, love, trust, passion, true care, joy, a safe place, amazing fathers, a family….. I could go on and on.

This duet can be read as a standalone but characters from other duets are in here. I have not read those duets (but plan to ASAP) and I had no issues knowing what was going on and who was who. BUT, you must read Chasing Freedom (Book 1) first to understand what’s going on in this book.

Absolutely 100% recommend.

Thank you for the ARC!

I loved all 4 of the men and, of course, Abbie. Their relationship is sweet, warm, supportive, possessive and hot! I mean who doesn’t want 4 hit cowboys, right?

We also get some surprise guests in this book (if you have read the other series by SR Clark, you will be smiling!)

I found there to be a lot more spice in this book than the last. Or maybe I was just feeling it more! 🥵

My only negative is the story. I felt like we ramped up in book 1 and then the plot (side plot) sort of just stopped. Yes, things will be resolved and there is an HEA (thank god!) but I felt like there could have been a bit more with Kat? Or the rival brothers? I can’t put my finger on it, but regardless, the book was still great and the spice is SPICING!

Finding Peace
S.R Clark

Abbie, Beau, Lincoln, Lawson, and Jasper

What a captivating conclusion to Chasing Freedom. In Finding Peace, Abbie and her men navigate their lives while fighting obstacles in their way.

This series has been emotional, thrilling, beautiful, and spicy. Reading Abbie find happiness after the abuse she suffered for years was so beautiful and warmed your heart.

Same with the men, seeing their love flourish with Abbie and find love after so long without.....beautiful.

If you havent read this series yet, what are you even doing with your life?

I was so excited to dive into part 2 of this duet - especially after the cliffhanger of the first book!! This book started exactly where the last one left off and i was immediately back in the story - Abigail is such a strong FMC and her men are so protective of her, which i love.

I don’t want to give any spoilers so am going to keep this review short but this will be one of my favorite why choose duets going forward - the characters, setting and story are all perfect!

S R Clark knows how to write a gripping story with relatable characters that make you fall in love with them!

I read for the vibes & the vibes were ✨ calm ✨

Honestly, this book went in the exact direction it should have. It was peaceful in every sense of the word. It wasnt over the top for the plot, it just made sense. Also, their revenge made alot of sense too. Too many times we read about regular people becoming OTT hero’s when it isnt in their DNA, but these cowboys did exactly what they should have done.

Only qualm I have with the book is I wish there were some fade to blacks lol. I feel like some of the scenes didn’t need to be explained in the next chapter or two.

Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of another ARC read!!! Absolutely amazing! This read opened up to that cliff hanger from book one ! This left me hanging on the edge of my seat! The protectiveness the spice! You just cannot go wrong with group of badass cowboys! The relationship she has with each of them is different but it all works together as a whole! That ending ❤️❤️❤️ if you love why choose with a strong FMC and possessive protective hot cowboys this dual is for you!

Sometimes all you have to do is be determined to change your life and willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Abigail has an encounter with someone from her past that causes her to stumble, but the boys were hot on her heels and rescued her from the uncertainty. Once she is safe, life just keeps throwing curveballs but this ending brings them all closer together and stronger than ever. Thank you Sierra for ARC! 🖤

Finding Peace, is the gripping conclusion to Abigail and her obsessed cowboys intense story. There’s more giggle inducing banter with this great found family, swoony heart fluttering moments, and burning passion throughout. These characters, their antics, their chemistry, and the good pace made it hard to put the book down. These cowboys will do absolutely anything for Abigail, you don’t mess with their girl 💀

This book could not have a better title. I really enjoyed the way I fell right back into their world. Abigail got the four best men a girl could hope for with Lawson, Lincoln, Beau and Jasper. Picking up right where book one ended, the stakes were high. And the book systematically worked through every obstacle with the guy’s steadiness and love. It was a perfect HEA and the epilogue was just the icing on the cake. I think I’ll miss the love between them and the spice was top notch.

We rejoin Abbie and her many men in a story about growing into people who are comfortable being themselves, or at least their new selves.

I feel like there is some more that could have happened or will happen but the story ends on such a great note. All the love and their home is protected is great. I sort of wish we saw more of the retribution but knowing that the men did it their way and retained their honor in how they did it is amazing.

After reading Chasing Freedom and left on that intense cliffhanger I was desperate for part two.
Finally we have it here in Finding Peace and we pick up right where we left off.
And what a ride it was.
The first several chapters are tense, Abigail trying to escape, while also wondering if Lincoln, Beau, Jasper, Lawson noticed yet that she was taken.
Than things get more intense in the aftermath...
But most of all the guys are accepting their feelings they have for Abigail.
Their relationship with her intensifies...in the best way.
They make sure her healing journey is taken care of in every way.

*slight spoiler alert ⚠️

And when a little surprise pregnancy occurs, oh yall...they just fall even deep in love.
And the spice picks up even more.

I just enjoyed this story and seeing Abigail and her cowboys get their happy ending. It was so sweet honestly. Each one of the guys just showing her just how much she means to them.

It was a perfect mixture of tension and spice and sweetness.

Wow! I was so excited for this book after the cliffhanger in the first book! And to say S.R. Clark did such an amazing job is an understatement! This book was not only so healing but such a beautiful journey!

Watching Abigail heal from her past and all the guys being there for her had me sobbing! She is such a strong FMC and she deserves the world and the 4 cowboys will do anything to give her the world!

This series is one of my new favorites and I can’t wait to read more from S.R!
