In 'Let the quiet ones rise', Robin hits differently, deftly wielding poems like thunderbolts against prejudice, bullying, bigotry and apathy.
Written under intense pressure of public scrutiny, at a deeply emotional juncture in life, some poems punch like raw pain from punctured wound. [*The best prescription for sanity.]
In others and in reflective prose, Robin is more lightning conductor, grounded libraries deep in books, decades of empathic interactions with folk from all walks of life and attention to our increasingly fractious world.
This is a powerful Collection, from a father's heart, on a tightrope walk over a ravine. These poems can and will unexpectedly connect at the deepest level.
Robin's creative capacity burns bright and sparks new zeal for authenticity, compassion and inclusion. I hope his irrepresible zest for living, writing and performing in this brief block life will keep cloudbusting.
