The real tests come when darkness lifts and daylight shines on what they’ve made.
The silo was a temporary playground. Three months of masked balls, feeding frenzies, and nights that bled into one another before the sun’s return ended Mordnik’s endless dark, and real life demanded its due.
But when the season is over, can the magic of what they’ve built survive outside Mordnik’s compressed intensity? Can a relationship forged in crisis endure the harsh daylight of separate schedules and real-world responsibilities?
And if Emmy’s genetic breakthroughs prove viable, what if her dream job is a thousand miles from her men?
The telepathic bond connects their minds, love connects their hearts, but the blood bond would connect their very souls. Does she dare vow to a permanent commitment that will bind her to both men for centuries when she has no idea what the future holds? Does Emmy choose to play it safe, or will she risk everything for a love that defies every rule she’s ever known.
Emmy has always burned bright and fast, leaving wreckage in her wake. Now she’s learning that some flames don’t they forge steel, illuminate darkness, and light the way through endless night.
She’s building a life she never imagined possible, but for someone who’s spent her whole life running from commitment, forever may be the most dangerous leap of all.
Claimed by Ice completes The Untamed Flame Trilogy with a guaranteed HEA, a page-turning MMF paranormal romance perfect for readers who crave blood bonds and permanent commitments, co-dominant heroes who respect their fierce heroine, thesis defenses and career triumphs, real-world challenges testing supernatural bonds, family reconciliation, service submission with omega wolves, soul-deep connections, living together with found family, and scorching open-door romantacy that delivers emotional intimacy alongside the heat. Binge-worthy completion to Emmy’s journey from chaos to forever.
Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.
Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.
Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.
Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.
Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

Stunning conclusion to the Aurora Immortalis trilogy, I am even more in love with Emmy and her beaus. After spending three months in an intense erotic playground to satiate even the most exuberant of exhibitionist, Emmy needs to return back to reality. The reality of defending her dissertation and finding a job. Even more concerning, what happens to the liaisons she's developed between a master vampire and his right hand man? And who wants to stay in Alaska for an unknown period of time when they are a fire breathing dragon? So many questions for the future and so much uncertainty for twenty something female who will live pretty much forever. This book should be read as the last book in the trilogy; it is not a standalone.
The finale of Emmy’s trilogy feels like one long, sprawling epilogues, and I'm a fan of epilogues. After the chaos and the emotional bumps of the first two books, this was the sweet HEA the characters, and the readers, deserved. Everything ties together perfectly, leaving the story in a place of hard-won stability.
The descriptive world-building continues to shine through. From the groundbreaking science to the mesmerizing descriptions of nature and those mouthwatering food scenes (I'm always hungry after reading these books), the atmosphere is incredibly immersive. Emmy is a very likable protagonist, she has grown into her maturity beautifully. I loved that she maintained her feisty spirit and independence, challenging Zander’s high-handed nature in a way that felt both respectful and mature.
While the "trouple" dynamic finally finds its rhythm and they have great communication, but some of the age-gap elements still carry a bit of discomfort for me. Even though I understand the BDSM vocabulary, it felt slightly jarring to hear Emmy address Spencer as her "boy" given he is older and a friend of her mother’s. Similarly, Zander’s occasional reminders of knowing her as a baby are still a bit of a hurdle, though I appreciated that Emmy herself shuts that down. The mental differentiation between "Uncle Abbott" and his identity as Zander helped mitigate the "ick factor".
Ultimately, this is a very satisfying and happy conclusion to a series that started dark and violent. It left me feeling settled while also sparking curiosity about Emmy’s many siblings. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this second-generation saga.
Emmy and her men have returned to "real" life. The bubble that allowed them to focus of the budding relationship now includes school and work duties. Can this trio sustain a relationship without the intensity of Mordnik? This is the final installment in Candace Blevins Aurora Immortalis trilogy. Emmy is completing her research and finding her footing in her relationship with Zander and Spencer. I found a few instances when her youth annoyed me but I liked the way Ms. Blevins showed it was a part of relationship growing pains. I loved that Zander for all his experience still had missteps. I loved that Spencer had to be reminded of his power in both his submission and the relationship their are constructing. Ms. Blevins crafted a relationship that felt honest and evolving. It wasn't without bumps but the respect remained as well as a focus on putting in the work to sustain what began under trying circumstances. I enjoyed this ending which really is a new beginning and look forward to where Ms. Blevins will take us next.
I was so excited to get to the finale of our trio’s story. It’s all in the details, Candace does such an amazing job of getting us to visualize just how amazing Zander’s quarters looks, the time Emmy spends with her mother and of course the food.
It’s also all about communication between them and we do get to see a few areas where there were some missteps and just how they go about resolving any issues. They all have to be very open about their feelings, especially when they go back home to Anchorage and how their life will look like.
Emmy has definitely grown and I love how we get to see how digs deep into her school and getting to her Master’s work and completing it and also just how both Zander and Spencer encourage her.
This book was totally worth it, I love this fantasy world, the supernaturals, the shifters, all of it.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
What a wonderfully written ending to a phenomenal trilogy! With Emmy starting off as a spoiled brat of the Swan Queen and the Dragon King you just knew this was going to be epic and it truly is. And once again I couldn’t put this book down. Bravo Candace Blevins you truly amaze me with your wordsmith skills and I’m always in awe while reading them. Paranormal shifters and magic will always be one of my favorites and of course some Vampires is a must read in my world and if it is yours too you will love this trilogy without a doubt and the spicyness is definitely hot. I willingly received this eARC and gladly give it this review. Emmy Spence and Zander are a perfect triangle and fit so well together that this is a definite must read you won’t regret! Try it and see. Chefs kiss perfect.
Emmy has come a long way since she was "exiled"to Alaska and put under Zander's watchful eye. She's finally made peace with her emotions, intelligence and what's next in her life. Zander and Spencer have found the third they've yearned for. The real test comes now that they've left the intensity of Mordnik and returned to a normal life in Anchorage. Can they keep thriving in their relationship as they go about heir daily lives? Emmy makes two decisions that are life altering and also completes her Master's work with stunning results. Zander and Spence cheer her on and support her each step of the way. Ultimately these three become everything they've ever wanted or needed when they fell in love with one another.
I feel so satisfied after finishing this story! These three just filled their wells, with love and contentment; with satisfaction and fulfillment; with pleasure and pain, and it radiated from them to me, and I was just so there for them. They didn’t shy away from fears and concerns; they didn’t hold back from difficulties and challenges; they didn’t withhold happiness and joy. I loved how they got to where they are, the path it took them to get there, and that they were happy and whole at the end of this story <3
Emerald loved hard and Zander and Spence loved her long. They supported her Masters work and her scientific experience with the cute bunnies. Zander bought another restaurant and Spence kept her company during daylight hours. I loved their story and was disappointed when it ended before her lab was finished and her new life began. Waiting for the next book in this series with bated breath.
In this fantastic conclusion Emmy, Spence and Zander take their love from the seclusion of the Mordnik to the real world and real life problems. Watching Emmy grow throughout this trilogy made it all worthwhile. Definitely a feel good ending.
Oh Man I love a happy ending! If you have been reading this universe for me like years you have also patiently been waiting for Abbot to get his happy ending. We might have thought it was with Spencer but throw in a Spicy Dragon and you have a whole new situation. Zander now has found his true loves.I loved the dichotomy of Abbot being Emmy's uncle and Zander now being her partner and happy ever after. The three of them had to really work together to find trust and build their triangle to support their relationship. I loved this ending and how open ended it was and cannot wait to read more books in the future about Emmy's work and all the awesome things these 3 are going to get up to. As always this book delivered on the spice be prepared!
