Josie Rosewood’s life has been mapped out since birth. Piano prodigy. Good girl. Daughter of a congressman.
Until she picked up her first guitar and realized how much she loves rock n’ roll.
Now a global sensation, Josie and her band are at the height of their career, but living in the limelight comes at a cost. Despite Josie’s attempts to keep them from drowning, it seems inevitable that addiction, fame, and arrogance will be their downfall. And when their new album fails to exceed expectations, their record label comes up with a plan that only makes things worse:
Touring with their rivals.
The Rogues may be a talented rock group, but they’re also the biggest thorns in Josie’s side. They’ve procured quite a reputation at her band’s expense, constantly going tit-for-tat with them in the press.
But when Josie meets them, they’re more put-together than they seem. An established pack with strong relationships, unlike Josie and her friends who are crumbling. And to make matters worse: they’re her scent matches.
Cyrus, the lead singer and ex-PR boyfriend of Josie’s best friend.
Remi, the mysterious bass player with modelesque features.
Malaki, fellow guitar player and suspicious ray of sunshine.
Lennon, the unhinged drummer with a sinful accent.
And Jamie, the beta keyboardist with a heart of gold.
Messy betrayals, secret rendezvous’, and the power of rock n’roll… There's a lot to unpack and Josie seems to be lost in the chaos. But one thing she knows for sure:
This is a tour no one will ever forget.

When Josie and Cleo decide to start a band at 14 years old, little did they know how popular they’d become. An all omega band. But touring takes its toll on Cleo, but Josie has no idea how bad and how far her friend and fallen. Enter The Rogues. An English rock band trying to break in to the American market. The best way to raise their profile? Have their lead singer, Cyrus, date the lead singer of Vicious Velvet, Cleo. This does raise both profiles, but ends badly. But no one, except Cyrus and Cleo, know the exact reason why. Then there labels have ‘the best idea!’ Have the bands tour together! When a chance encounter outside the meeting room, just before the big meeting to sort out all the details happens, reveals that Josie and Cyrus are scent matches, Josie doesn’t know what to do. She feels loyalty to Cleo but … SCENT MATCH! As the tour progresses, 3/4 of the members of Vicious Velvet realise all is not as Cleo has told them. These are decent guys. Josie is torn, but starts spending more and more time with them. This can only go well …
For me it was a really good read and will definitely be reading the rest of the books in the series. But please do read the TWs as there are some sensitive subjects in this book.
thank you so much to layney jones for this arc in exhange for an honest review! so i found layney’s books earlier this year and immediately became obssessed with her writing & her omegaverse worlds so i was so excited to get into this one!!
the vibes were immaculate & i loved seeing all the crazy chaos of the touring lifestyle. and the drama!!! it kept me on the edge of me seat in the best way & i read it in less than 24 hours🙂↕️
okay now to our fmc and mmcs — i absolutely loved josie!!! she was so relatable with her people pleasing and fears. seeing her slowly come out of her shell and learn to put herself first was so rewarding. our mmcs were all so unique and so sweet like all they wanted was for their scent match to have the best possible life🥹
not only did i love seeing how the romance grew between josie and her pack, all of the other relationships just seemed so real. the chronic illness rep was top tier and i really felt so seen🫶🏻 even though i have never known someone with a drug addiction i really felt josie’s pain seeing her friend lose herself. please make sure you check trigger warnings!!!
highly recommend giving this one a read when it comes out july 2 for an omegaverse romance full of emotional moments, yearning men, & lots of fun in between 💌
ARC Review This book was addictive from page one (and yes I know there's a bit of a pun in that statement). Josie was a relatable character as she was a bit of a people pleaser and worked so hard to be a helping hand to her friends. Watching what that did to her also broke my heart at times. Pack Darlington was just *chef's kiss* with characters that stole my heart and I can't even pick a favorite out of the pack because they work so well together. They give Josie the time and space she needs while providing a safe place to land when the world becomes to harsh. This book talks about addiction and the darker sides to fame and the expectations that come both from the public and the people behind the scenes of the industry. It handles these topics with care while showing damage and strain it can cause everyone involved. Overall this book tugged on my heartstrings and showed why omegaverse deserves all the love.
I really enjoyed it. The guys are all ooey gooey goodness and all conflict is outside the pack. It doesn’t answer everything that happens in the book but it seems to be setting up for another book.
I remember seeing there will be a book for each omega in the band. So that tracks. Recommend it and the spice was solid! I mean you get a finger 💥 in a club bathroom and an MMM situation within the first 35% of the book so it made my spicy heart happy!

Are you wanting a Hot and Spicy Omegaverse mixed with RockStars? Then this is the read for you🎸🥂
I was so immersed in this story and found Josie to be completely relatable. She was a people pleaser and did everything she could to save her best friend Cleo. Seeing their friendship go through the changes of what an addiction can do and self discovery that we can only do so much before we have to choose ourselves. Loved that storyline against the HOT omegaverse Rockstars! The different dynamics between the 5 MMC’s and I loved how patient they were with Josie, knowing they would be there in the end to love and support her.
Pack Darlington have my heart and wanting more, I just didn’t want this story to end. The spicy scenes were 🥵🥵🥵 Can’t wait for the next book! Thank You Layney Jones 🫶🏼
I’m in absolute love with this book. I love how patient Pack Darlington is for Josie, and they are just perfect for her. And I really love that Josie realized that she needed to live for herself and her pack, not anyone else. I also really appreciate that when everything went down that the pack didn’t part, they stayed together. Maybe I am used to third act breakups, which I am not the biggest fan of, but this caused them to be closer. I’m guessing Cleo is the next one of the series, her book will be a ride. But I know will be worth it. Because I trust Layney as an author!
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was so good its about Josie and her mates. They are both Rockstars in separate bands and it seems that both bands have a feud going on due to both the leads having dirt on each other due to the leads both having to fake date eachother for influence it gives them. They have to find a way to navigate being together without her friend Cleo finding out. Which they do and they get to enjoy it for a while without drama then the other shoe drops.
This book felt so different and so similar to the Fraternizing Omegas series. It felt like a new world with nostalgia coating the words. I loved these characters and how much they seemed to love and care for each other. I was smiling through so much of this book because it was so dang cute and then I spent the last 15% trying not to cry. I cant wait to see where this world goes!
