Lunar Storm and Nights Embrace are scheduled to play at Bumbershoot in Seattle only Joey is not too thrilled when he sees that Red Queen is also scheduled to play main stage at the same time. Desire tried to seduce Joey years ago and make him hers only it didn’t work and his mate Sorcha let her have it. Well Desire is back and is ready to give it a second try to make Joey hers. I love Brandy’s series absolutely devour them. The males are all Alpha and strong yet loving and caring. The females are sassy and kickass they never stand back and let the males take care of them they are always in middle of the action fighting alongside the males. It was great to get back and see everyone from Lunar Storm and Nights Embrace.

Sorcha loves her man and will protect him at any cost, "Might need to tonight.” Her eyes flashed up and a sneer twisted her lip. “Joey’s ex-ho thinks she has a claim on my mate. B**** is wrong." Trevor and Joey there was one scene and one conversation that was so typical on men conversations I found it funny:
Trevor’s brow arched. “Enjoying dancing with your firecracker?”
“Aye, but I’d rather be home pumping her."
I think this is a prequel of what's to come in our Seattle series so I can't wait for the full story.

Joey has a problem at the Bumbershoot Music festival. Desire, his crazy ex, and the lead singer of the band Red Queen, would be on the main stage the same time his band was on.
Desire was no ordinary Other. Think Elizabeth Bathory multiplied by 10, oh and 30 years later, still extremely angry that Joey wasn't with her. Sorcha, Joey's mate, already tried to kill her 8 years ago. That is when Desire discovered her power of healing with blood.

Never get between a wolf and his mate!
For anyone thinking of trying to break apart mated wolves... this is the what not to do book ;) And now a bit about the story...
Thirty years ago Joey slept with yet another conquest after a concert, unfortunately this one became obsessed with him. She even tried to kidnap him eight years ago... it didn't go so well. Now both bands are playing the same venue and the sparks will fly!
Favorite passage: “If Roxy gets hurt because you were stupid enough to dip your dick in that stinkpot, I’m going to kill you.”

Joey should have paid attention to who he was shagging before he met his mate Sorcha. Not everyone woman could deal with a fling, no strings attached. No, the day Joey messed with Desire, was the day he found a psychopath. Not all Other's are as they seem. History has a way of repeating itself, some stories have strayed away from some truths while maintaining them in some ways.
I loved this addition to the Others of Seattle. I can't wait for more!

I received this book in exchange for a review.
This is a short story about Joey. Before Joey and Sorcha were bonded, Joey had a short affair with Desire. Desire is determined to get him back. She has already failed once when Sorcha almost killed her. She is back now and ready to claim her man. Desire doesn't age. She has been killing people to bath in their blood.
I enjoyed this short story. It provided some background on Joey's life. It was a very quick read.

Joey and Sorcha are an awesome couple they are hot for one another and have a good time. I really liked this book, I read it in the Face the Music Anthology. I love The Others. They have to deal with some things from an ex but they get through it. These two are hot for each other and I love her sassy attitude and his sense of humor.

Lunar Storm has been slated to play Bumbershoot! Joey has met his mate, however is being stalked by the Red Queen who believes that she can win his heart back. Great story, love that Joey's mate takes no crap. Lots of surprise history in this one and love that it is a play off of Brandy's other work! 5 fangs.

Watch out for the Red Queen! Joey's ex fling is back and ready to claim what she wants! Will Joey be able to escape her clutches again or will others fall victim as well! Desire has found the secret to staying young and she has left a path of death in her wake, no one is safe! Love how these guys stick together and protect one another! Will Desire finally meet her demise?

I love this series and the companion series. This was a novella for the price it was a good filler story a bridge between the last and next books. The story of course was quick 8 chapters but as I am well and truly into this series I found it extremely enjoyable not something that can be read as a stand alone.

This book is a novella in the Others of Seattle series. Short and sweet...with a vicious kick! The usual fantastic characters, well written and likable. Yes I know it's deliberately short but I was left wanting more. Not really enough to get lost in but still well worth reading. Nice to see more of Joey.

It was nice to catch up with some of the characters from Nights Embrace and learn more about Joey and Scorcha. I wish this had been a full length novel because Joey and Scorcha are fun characters and I felt like this book ended too soon. I hope there is a future book that fleshes out a few of the characters in the Seattle pack.

In my opinion this book could have been developed into a much more intriguing story. It is a very short, fast read but I don't feel it is on the same level as the rest of the books in the series.
