This was an easy 5⭐ read for me! Autumn absolutely did not come lightly with this one. From the very beginning I was hooked, and the awkward first encounter between Elias and Drew had me laughing out loud immediately.
What I loved was how unapologetically open they both were from that first meeting. They knew exactly what they wanted, what they were thinking, and weren’t afraid to say it. I found myself flying through the pages desperate to see where this chemistry was going.
And wow… talk about moving fast! There is definitely something exciting about characters who live completely in the moment and throw themselves into whatever life puts in front of them. 🔥
As the story unfolded, we also got to see the childhood trauma both Elias and Drew experienced and how it shaped the people they became. It added a deeper emotional layer beneath all the fun, chemistry and spontaneity.
Then THAT plot twist! I was completely hooked once Drew disappeared. Suddenly everything shifted and following Elias as he realised he loved her and would do whatever it took to find her had me glued to the pages.
What I loved most was the free-spirited nature of these characters and the way Autumn brought them to life. They felt so real that I genuinely felt like I could have met them myself on that campsite.
Funny, emotional, spicy and full of surprises — this one kept me turning pages right until the end.

There’s nothing sexier than a guitarist, the way they hold the neck and strum. Author Autumn Raye Arthur plays on this sex symbol as readers are greeted by this musician as Drew makes her way into the campground for a meet up of like-minded nomads.

Taking place over the course of mere days, the owner of a 1984 Ford Econoline and a 2015 Subaru Impreza soon become inseparable. The sparks fly as love quickly begins to take root. But there’s deep trauma under the surface for both Drew and Elias, deep enough to affect the humans they are. As they wind around each other, physically and emotionally, this story takes on new wings, teaches bold lessons, and offers a whole lot of steam.

Weaving important lessons into the sexy scenes, readers begin to embrace the importance of not molding oneself to others’ expectations, not settling, and letting happiness take priority. Immediately attraction climaxes, before experiencing a dip as doubt creeps in, because how well can we really know someone? Can we truly trust our heart, and do we ever leave our past behind?

Developing this story around two unlikely people, Arthur draws readers in quickly. Drew has been by herself for some time. Not one to initiate conversations or be outgoing, she’s doing a meet up for the first time. Elias, a guitar strumming social butterfly is so unlike Drew. Well acquainted with everyone and no stranger to meet ups, as a whirlwind weekend ensues.

What begins as a mere fantasy soon turns into reality as these two bump into each other and a fiery romance soon ignites. Writing in a way that quickly has readers rooting for these two, their pasts, and the hurdles they’ve overcome, their instant sparks enamor us to them. Yet, just as we’ve fallen for Elias and Drew’s love story, we’re ripped into a new reality, one we can’t seem to reconcile with the Drew and Elias we’ve come to know.
