A nice adventure yarn
The author manages to give this novel a thoroughly Victorian feel with the characters dialogue and societal attitudes. My only criticism of this book is the ending which fizzled out without explaining important issues about the creatures who were the protagonists in this novel. An enjoyable read nonetheless.
