Xandra believes Sirens are creatures of myth. At least, she does until they escape from the prison that has held them for centuries and they come seeking revenge. Now, their magic is unstoppable. Even a Witch Fairy's magic isn't strong enough to stop the Sirens from singing their death call. With only six nights to find a solution before all the males she loves are taken from her, Xandra must find a way to stop them.
2. My children. (Please don’t tell my kids I listed fans before them. You may cause a riot in my home. They’re pretty feisty kids.)
3. My cats and dogs when they’re not making me sniffle, sneeze, rub my eyes or irritating my asthma. (Scratch that, they always do and I love them anyway.)
4. Writing. (I would have listed this first, but it would have looked bad. Worse than putting fans before my kids.)
5. Good friends. (Fortunately, I have several.)
6. Quiet evenings at home in front of the fireplace reading a good book. (Please, like that’s going to happen with five kids in the house - but I can dream can’t I?)
7. I got stuck here so I asked a couple of friends to tell me their fondest memory of me. This is what I got:
Deb: It was when you used to babysit Michael and rode the horse in Meijer so he could ride with you. Also......my first trip to TX for a wedding. You were at my house and said you would put my clothes in the dryer when they were done. Needless to say, the next morning I had to pack wet clothes in my suitcase. The airline lost my luggage for 4 days so when I finally got it back, my clothes were all mildewed. (Okay, in my defense – I was twelve at the time. The sad thing is, I still forget to put clothes in the dryer.)
Michele: I have too many…but one of the first that popped in my head was how you drove all the way to Chicago to look at my apartment for me because I was too hung over, and then gave me all the details so I could pretend I was there. You are a good friend... (It was only a seven hour round trip. What are friends for?)
Joe: A particular Domino’s pizza delivery and you invited the delivery guy inside…(I’m going to stop there because my ex-husband thinks he’s funny.)
For obvious reasons, I didn’t ask anyone else.
Hates:
1. Puppies, kittens, babies, sunshine, peace on earth, goodwill, recycling, education, gifts, and sweets of any kind. (Really, I do.)
2. Being facetious. (I would never dream of it!)
3. People who don’t read my books. (Well, maybe not all of them. But, most of them.)
4. People who always manage to stop by the house when I look terrible. (You know who you are…)
5. Lumberjacks. (Don’t know why, just do.)
Now that you know everything about me, you should drop by my Facebook page to tell me all about you.
Ok so this book might just be the best display of how kick-ass Princess Xandra, borne of the blood of three is !! And she defeated Irene, Queen of the Sirens (May she rot in shadow realm but she can't now because you see Xandra asked to cleanse her soul too.)
My Gods and Angels , are you aware of the ending?? of course you are, BECAUSE YOU WERE THERE and it was so bad-ass. I was literally like you go girl, you show them!!
As usual I looooved Taz, the snarky tasmanian devil who happens to be Xandra's familiar and Felix, the doppelganger's tasmanian devil familiar who I have come to adore. Rashnu , Seraphim , Urim, Lilah.....I just can't get enough of these angels. Raziel ...hmm....he knows how to keep secret so I guess he will just have to be my bestie now....or not because he would know everything and won't tell me. And don't even get me started on Kallen...Crazy Fangirl Alert !! I love every character except The Sirens and maybe Kai...oh now there is a thought.
CONCLUSION: Sirens and every other creature who hates Xandra sucks and Xandra and Kallen ROCKS !!
4.7 Would anyone ever hear of me and think 'Oh a Witch Fairy, lets be her friend?' instead of trying to kill me . STARS !!
Another fun adventure of the witch fairy. This one had some issues for me though, it really bugged me that the sirens didn't actually pose more of a threat, it seems that this girl is invincible, which makes you sort of wonder why anyone still tries to go up against her.. oh well, fun and easy read to get my mind off life :)
Mrs. Lamer never fails to entertain me with her words. If you have made it this far in the series, you know my words are true. I always recommend this series and author to people who are looking for a new amazing series or read.
This book took me awhile due to personal reasons. I did enjoy this book had points i cried or got angry i could have thrown my kindle but i wanted to finish the book.
I do really like this series. I started it a few years back and just picked back up where I left off. A few books back. It’s easy to jump back in. I remember the main plot line lol and each book kinda goes over any really necessary material as a refresher if things we’ve already learned is going on. The author doesn’t over do it with the recap though which I love! Some sum up an entire precious book and that’s just unneeded lol. I do think that the books could use a better editor, or at least a proofreader. Not picking here, just things jump out at me and I kinda can’t help it since I’m a beta and arc reader, I kinda look for those things and it carriers over into my personal reading as well. I kinda notice them without even looking for them 🤷🏼♀️😂
Another magical journey with the Witch Fairy that is always fun and entertaining and there is never a dull minute. Sirens are threatening everyone she loves and Xandra will stop at nothing to protect the people she cares about. She is way too honest in her opinions sometimes but at least you know where you stand with her and I would rather have her as a friend than an enemy any day.
Sucked in from the first page! Anyone familiar with these books knows to be ready to read the whole book in one sitting. Loved the twists and turns in this book. As a reader trying to guess what is coming next and not being right about anything is exciting. Blown away! Can't wait for the next one.....
