Psychology students should study the mmc to discover when it's morally needed to euthanize a human being because wtf was this... . . . READ FURTHER ONLY IF U WANT TO HEAR A BRUTALLY HONEST AND UNHINGED RANT . . . . I will NEVER be trusting those daily book quotes from TikTok or Instagram ever again. I was misled into a whole different universe; truly, nothing could've prepared me for the amount of stupidity and trauma this book has caused me. I should've dnf'd and burned my eyes with bleach when I had the chance. The mmc was so bipolar and actually stupid AF. As the book says, this man owns all of Italy or something, but he still can't stop the ow (not actually ow but is?) from controlling the very hospital he trusts- (she forges every report and lies). And of course, our tough macho-male can't lose face NOOOOOO, turns out he actually "suspected" that ow was a conniving b*tch but instead decided it would be a better decision to stick his head up his a** and not question anything.
Every bad thing that could've happened, happened: -Pacing is horrendous; there's so much historical trauma between our mcs that goes unnoticed about for actually no reason -dumb AF mmc that can't rub two rocks together -OW; I hate ow tropes, but this one takes it to a different level. Genuinely, let's just rename them as a damn throuple and move on. It got to a point where I couldn't believe that the fmc was the actual fmc, the title should've just been given to the ow. -Extreme stupidity and dumbass plot points; You're telling me the fmc was locked up by the mmc for FIVE hours in a room that's "-42° degrees" (dk if it's C or F), gave birth in said room and still was ALIVE? -FMC takes the MMC back after everything, even though this man has NEVER believed her, constantly and I mean at every turn chose the ow over her, nearly killed her and her baby, all because he got shot? The man's in the mafia, it wasn't the first time going 1v1 with a bullet, and it won't be the last, like tf? ~1 star because I felt bad for the amount of stupid shit the fmc had to deal with
