Hide Me #2

Hide my Thoughts

Rate this book
This is Book 2 in the Hide Me Series. You must read book 1 first, which is free here on Amazon. It is called HIDE MY MEMORIES. These are romantic suspense thriller books with a bit of paranormal.

This book is darker than my previous books, and a bit darker than book 1. If you don't like Thrillers you might want to skip it.

Katerina Holloway had thought the nightmare was over. She had fought the serial killer, and had won. But then she discovers, in the worst way possible, that there are two of them. Katerina falls into a deep depression and has no way to deal with her new reality.

West and Katerina try to keep their new relationship strong, but Katerina's new and inexplicable bouts of anger and hostility threaten to topple it. Can West find a way to help her and restore her sweet side? And when Jordan disappears, is Katerina really the only one who can save her?

Suspense Thriller Level: High. Heat Level Moderate. Plenty of Swearing. I wouldn't say there's a cliffhanger, but there is a gentle epilogue to the next book

This is a darker continuation of Hide My Memories. In this novel we see less of a romantic theme and more of a dark mystery theme. Karina and Wes are still together but they are both struggling to deal with Karina's new found "powers" and a serial killer that is determined to drive Karina over the edge. I am looking forward to seeing what is in store next for Wes and Karina, will their love survive and hopefully a story for Blaise and Jordan is in the future?

Kat and Wes their relationship is new, and in this book 2, they are struggling. Kat has changed into bouts of angry, and hostility, and not who she really is. West and friends are still there to help her. The story picks up from the first book, the killer they now learn is two of them. Kat has a gift and people want to use her. An Aunt said she needed to be protected.
The story is much more intense and will keep you turning the pages.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first book in this series. The ending of this book just happened, and it didn't leave me feeling like I couldn't wait to read the next book in this series.

This book was so different from the first one in this series. In the first book we got to see how beautifully West and Kat trusted and cared for one another, even with the complication of her "special" powers. This book showed us the difficulty they encountered after what happened in the first book and how each of them struggled to be with one another and not lose the love they share.

I enjoyed this book in an entirely different manner than I enjoyed the first one. I enjoyed seeing them struggle and fight to survive all that was happening. I loved the first book but thought their relationship had been "too easy". With the introduction of Brody, I had my answer as to why West was so understanding of everything that was Kat in the first book; and why he didn't just turn and run when things got tough, beyond tough really.

West's love for Kat showed throughout this book. The only thing missing for me was a little more solid hope for their HEA at the end. The ending left me happy for them, but a little concerned the trouble may not be over for them. This is definitely a series to read!

I read this book right after finishing Hide My Memories. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a mind bending thriller.

Katerina thought it was over until another womans body is found. This one has a personal message for Katerina. Is there a second killer on the loose? Kat begins a hard and lonely journey in an attempt to sort out what is happening to her mind. She has issues she never had before due to her psychic encounters with the serial killer in her first book. West is with her, as supportive as he can be while she basically shuts him out. HMT's deals more with the search for this killer's identity than the relationship between Kat and West. I found it very well written with surprises as well as insight into the mind of this sick man. I am looking forward to book 3.. Write faster Lisa. ;)

Standing Together!!!!

Hide My Thoughts picked up right where Hide My Memories left off.....Kat and West are not only dealing with the fact that there's another killer out to get Kat but they are always dealing with the fact that they haven't really had a chance to enjoy their courtship without any trouble.

Despite the strain on their relationship, West and Kat are a remarkable duo.....like how their friends are there helping them trying to figure out who wants to harm Kat.

From what Agnes told them, Kat is a very powerful being who needs to be protect from people who would want to use her if they ever found out what she can do.

Wow to have Payne be the villain was well done, the man already set off some alarms in the first book so it played out perfectly....and don't forget about the supernatural events that were also well executed.... Another fantastic one by Lisa Ladew. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

So they figure out there is another serial killer. But in the mean time Katrina is feeling angry. She has a bit of franks soul in her which is evil. She tries to kill west a couple of times. Anyway in the end the second killer is franks brother. his name is Dylan but it's actually sheriff lance Payne. Dylan ends up taking Jordan to lure Katrina out which works. But once they go to there hide out Katrina starts working her powers. She ends up burning him. No one understands how she did it but she did. This book is crazy. In the end Katrina and west tell each other they love each other. I definitely think there's more to the story but not much to read the next book because all they really need to close out is about her powers.

Lisa Ladew delved into a bit of a darker side on this sequel to the Hide Me Series, and she succeeded at it! In this installment we're exposed to all of the emotional turmoil that Katerina is experiencing upon finding out there's still a killer out there--one that is targeting her. Her relationship with West is also put to the test in this intense story that will keep you hooked from the beginning!

West and Kat had their struggles and there was less romance and more mystery into the darker side of the story. Still kept you engaged into the story and reading fast to find out what was going to happen. Yes the ending was left with a big old question mark? Can't wait for her new releases to come.

Keeps Getting Better

I really enjoyed this book and how we learn more about each character. I am intrigued by the Blaise/Jordan story. I like the dark side and that it's not too dark, I can't read anything too graphic but this book strikes a good balance of knowing how twisted the villain is without making me lose sleep. I can't wait for that next one!

I loved this book! It continues West's and Kat's love story but the suspense in this book is awesome! I loved a little dark edge to go along with a bit of paranormal theme. I cannot wait to read the next installment, I would love to see Blaise's story!

A little disappointed

It seemed like the first book got the best plot and action. This isn't without action and plot but I felt it was slow and somewhat lacking compares to the first book.

Loved it so much I couldn't stop reading. I'm hooked on Katerina and West! It's written in a way that is easy to read without having to slow down for details, which is one reason I'm enjoying. Its not 5 star fabulous, but it is just the kind of story I was looking for. On to #3.
