Twenty-two year old Louise has become accustomed to the abuse she has endured from the one person who should love her unconditionally. But when that abuse is directed at her children she finds the courage to leave her abusive husband to seek refuge for herself and her five year old twins, Tommy and Devon.
At the age of six, Connor ‘Spike’ Stokes watched in vain as his fourteen year old sister was brutally raped and murdered. This event was the catalyst for a turbulent upbringing but helped to shape Spike into the man he is today, caring, loyal and very protective.
A turn of events lead Louise and her children into Spike’s life but can she accept that a man would offer so much and want so little in return or will Spike’s urges to protect be too much for Louise?
Could this be the event that helps Spike deal with his past but could it also be at the detriment of his own heart being broken?
Note to readers: This is not your normal MC series. The Aces are an MC with alpha males but the members do not shy away from the fact that they are husbands, fathers and lovers with feelings. If you don’t like a biker who cares and respects his woman, then this isn't a book for you.
I want to take the time to mention that I’m from the United Kingdom and use UK spellings.
To receive the full experience of the Aces MC Series it is recommended to read the stories in the following order:
Diesel – Book 1 Duke - Book 2 Paige and Chloe - Book 2.5 Spike - Book 3 Amy - Book 3.5 Locke - Book 4 Jayden - Book 4.5
I've always had an overly imaginative and creative mind and although I've managed to maintain my sanity regardless of my career choice (teaching), I've decided to channel that creativity in other ways. Never had I thought of writing a book, until 2014 and I'm pleased that I did.
I hope to entertain those who enjoy gritty romance stories with domineering men and strong women.
I like to think I have a certain edge over other MC authors because of my family ties to an MC in the UK, which help to keep my books realistic (to a certain degree!) and not shy away from the fact that these club members although alpha male, are still husbands, fathers and lovers with feelings.
Thank you to all that read my books and support me in pursuing my dream.
I hope my readers enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

Spike is a favourite among fans and his story is finally here (July 18th). Angel is a close friend of mine and has trusted me to tell her story, and I hope you connect with her and the struggles she went through to protect her children. This is another cross over story so it will hopefully fill in some of the blanks from previous books and you understand why Connor 'Spike' Stokes is so protective over the people he loves. Diesel, Duke and Hound feature throughout the story with the introduction of three new characters to the club (Cade, Recon and Lyric) and there is a sneak peek from 'Paige and Chloe' and 'Locke' at the end of the book to wet your appetite. I'm always happy to hear what you think so please get in touch. x
Louise started dating Liam when she was fourteen, she moved in with him at sixteen and was pregnant and ready to get married not long after but then she started to notice the changes small at first it started with yelling, insults and put downs and then when she was three months pregnant he raped and assaulted her, this was the first of many, many times and by now she was isolated, her friends and family alienated and she was totally alone. She takes it and takes it for years until it's turned on her children and then she has to act, she packs up and leaves and this is when she comes across the Ace MC and Spike in particular. Spike has his own demons and nightmares but could Louise help him heal? Louise has been devalued and abused so much at she may never be truly happy with a man again and Spike is just so masculine do they even stand a chance? This is my favourite so far and I'm glad because I've been a little in love with Spike since Diesels book and I just loved Devon and Tommy. This series had a slow start for me but now I'm truly hooked and just waiting for Amy's book but unfortunately I have a longish wait because it's not expected out until 18th March 2016. I'm really going to miss these guys since I've read these four books over the last four days now I've got to find something else to read.
Love the writing style of Aimee-Louise Foster not many many authors can write a book with not only the leading male / female point of view, but others and keep the story from becoming confusing, not only does Aimee-Louise do this but leaves you wanting more of those other points. Spike was brilliant to read, the way it was wrote made me love Spike, how he was patience and gave Louise the time she need to be ready to be his was lovely to read and very realistic. If you have not read this author you are missing out on some great books.
Oh how I love this author.....Aimee has ways with getting the emotional side to her "Guys" & the alpha side down to a tee. I am so pleased that she started writing MC stories even tho she has to have them sanctioned by her club. My one thought is, I wonder what the guys from the club actually think when they read these?????? Maybe she will tell us??? Or maybe not lol.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This series never disappoints!! I love that the books have all taken place around the same time frame, just focusing on different characters. So we get several different viewpoints of the same scenarios. It makes it so that it CAN be read as a stand alone, but if you want to know the whole story you should really start at the beginning.
I've always had a soft spot for Spike because of how good a friend he is to everyone around him, but this book made me swoon like few others ever have. Being a mother, I could appreciate how rare and special his relationship with Louise's children was. From their very first meeting he treated them like he'd known them his whole life, and the kids grew to love him in a very short period of time. They've come from a home where both them and their mom were abused, so their need for a loving male role model was even more necessary and appreciated.
My favorite MC guys are the fiercely protective, hard on the outside but a teddy bear on the inside, sexy as he**, dirty talking alphas. That describes Spike perfectly. He's exactly what Louise needs; a man who will love and cherish her and make her and her children feel safe. It takes some time for her to trust him enough to allow him to do that but it's so worth it once she does.
I can't wait for the next book in this series and being able to continue seeing Spike and his new family's growth in the future!! Congratulations Aimee-Louise Foster for writing a freaking awesome and sizzling hot new book!!
I was given this book free for an honest review so here goes. Wow this book kicks arse.. I absolutely loved this book. It overlaps with some of the other books timeline which is great as it can be while since you last read the series.
You are better to read in order but they can easily be read stand alone.
Now the book. I don't like spoiling storylines so I won't give many specifics.
There is some violence rape and spousal abuse in this book if these topics offend you do not read it.
However as someone who has had some dealings with the topics I did not have any issues in reading these scenes they are well written and very accurate and not overdramatised.
The characters are brilliantly written and the children are adorable. I can see why Spike loves them all x if you are a gramar junkie it has been well edited in comparison to other books of this genre. I was glad that this book did deal carefully with the topics covered but in no way tried to brush it under the carpet. When it happens it is traumatic, it does hurt and there are consequenses, all of this is written, probably the best I have ever seen written down before. Props for Aimee. I couldn't put this book down . X
When I started this series, I couldn't wait to read Spike's story. And everything he went through when he was younger, just made him a sweet/caring person. (even though he is a biker, lol)
I am so glad that he got he's happily ever after with his Angel. They both deserved their happiness after everything they have been through
Awesome Aimee, I cannot wait for Locke's story... Whoop!
I was given a copy by the author for an honest review.
This book is about Spike and his lady love Louise.
Straight away we are thrown in to the gritty world of the MC the story takes place within the last books sort of over lapping. so it was nice that it refreshed my memory but not too much that it took away the storyline. This story contains domestic violence and was quite graphic, but i found that although it was an important part of the story it didn't over take the rest of the plot. The author adds the right amount of drama and balance out the romance making it an exciting read. I loved that everyone grouped together to deal with the issues and that something bigger is brewing. i liked the characters in the story and loved Louise's sweet children, i felt so sorry for their situation. It must be so difficult for some to leave violent relationships and I'm glad that Spike was able to show Louise the care and support she needed. Considering everything that went on in Spike's past i found him to be a very loving and kind man. Most of all i liked that Louise set about saving herself and her children on her own i thought she was really brave.
Will i be reading the next in the series? Hell yes! i love that these guys are English! Well done Aimee, you made me gripped at page 1.
I got this book as a read to review and Aimee didn't disappoint. I didn't think it possible but I think I love spike more than diesel and duke. The book crossed over with the others so you have a real timeline to follow and I thought the twins were fantastic. I would like an explanation as to why diesel was all over Amber, she is a horror. It was heartbreaking to read more of spikes pain about his sister but it made him the awesome guy he is. And, what do you know, another female lead that was not annoying in any way. Louise was a strong loving mother who had been broken down by an arse of a husband. Safe to say I am very excited for the next book and at some point to hear what is happening with lockh.

I was asked to give my honest review of this book. This is not a typical MC book but it's a great book. Spike and the men in his MC are the epitome of the Alpha Male; he meets Louise a sweet, kind and caring mother of twins. When Spike sees this mother of two in trouble he immediately goes into protective mode because of his childhood trauma. His lifestyle is unlike anything Louise has ever seen or experienced. But the chemistry between Louise and Spike is smoking hot. I love the characters and the story. There’s humor, intrigue, heart wrenching at times but most importantly, love. The characters pull you in and give the reader a sense of family among the members of the club. A must read.
Loved it. I really enjoyed this series. The characters are great but it was Spike who peeked my interest from book 1. He is a big gentle giant with a lot of love to give. Louise is the lucky lady to catch Spikes interest. She has had a hard life for the last few years with her abusive husband. Her twins you can't help but love too. They all deserve some happiness. All in all another great book in a great series. The icing on the cake with these books is they are set in the UK which is do refreshing. Looking forward to the next one Aimee.
*** ARC for honest review *** I don't even know how to convey how amazing spike's book was for me. I loved diesel & duke but spike's book just ripped my heart out. I spent all night reading it, I just couldn't put it down. Spike & louise's story was heart wrenching & beautiful. I felt so many emotions with this book, I felt like I was right there with them holding my breath, crying along, laughing, heart racing, hell even crossing my fingers that they'd see it through, it was amazing. A definite must read!
Every one loves spike. Through the mc stories you notice spike wants to help fix every ones problems and help them. Not matter what he is willing to make a change. Spikes personality is a result of watching his sisters death at a young age. So when angle comes into the story spike don't know what to do as his falling for her.
Add a physCo ex, 2 frightened child and a women who is willing to go to extreme lengths to protect her kids. This is a must read
This book is my favorite so far in the Aces MC, let me count all the ways that I love and adore Spike .. sigh he was simply perfection granted I spent some time crying for all those who were hurt but I also cracked up laughing at the piggyback race and I so hope they have a rematch in the next book also happily the HEA at the end of the book was fantastic ... I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Aces MC,
This was a great read. It dealt with a hard subject matter (abuse). It had great characters and a well written interesting story line. It's a great series to read. Rated very good
I absolutely adored spike and angel the story was lovely!, my only criticism is I wanted to see Liam suffer more than he did for his actions to his family!
You have excelled yourself this time Aimee. You have covered many topics throughout your books from depressions, bereavement, postnatal depression and now rape and spousal abuse which is hard going within three books but you handle these topics with such sensitivity and consideration to the needs of your readers and characters.
This continues to be my favourite MC series because you have these underlining issues going on throughout your stories and it's not just about alpha males and sex! Reading other reviews for Duke, I think readers skipped over the fact that he was a broken man due to his bereavement and therefore was depressed and just saw him as a drunk.
Anyway back to Spike. He became my favourite character in book 1 because of his protective nature and I have been looking forward to seeing his character develop. This man is a dream come true, buff, caring, sensitive, great with children and between the sheets. What more could a girl want? I am thankful for the fact that you built the relationship between them and they didn't rush into a physical relationship and the fact that Louise could also stand up for herself to protect her children. I have read somewhere that this was based on a true story and that your 'friend' got her happy ever after which is fantastic news. The time and effort that you have put in to research these issues shows in your work, so well done.
So thank you Aimee for another great release, I hope it is a success and looking at the other review on here and amazon I think it will be. I can't wait for Paige and Chloe, I can already see that it is going to be explosive.
The storyline was weak and entrench with unrealistic events however; had great potential. I was torn between giving it one star or two. I settled on two only because there wasn't as many typos or mistakes made in this one as there usually is in so many others. Spike nightmares was not resolved regarding his past(his sisters horrible death). He was having nightmares and they just went away without him having any insight or talking about it or anything. Spike was strong and resilient in the other two book ;however, he changed in this one after meeting Louise. Louise was a very strong-willed, independent mother, who is on a mission of protecting her kids. She suffered years of abuse from her husband and finally became brave enough to escape with her kids (Tommy and Devon). The author listed names of characters at beginning of book with their "road names" then later revert back and forth using one or the other which is confusing to the readers and appears as if the reader was not reading the correct story? It was hard to understand if Spike and Louise was friends or in a relationship and later the author changes her mind due to the novel being a romance book!! In the end, there is no resolution to Louise problems because a restraining order doesn't resolve the situation which is unrealistic in this story. I had high hopes for the story, but it just didn't make it!!!
Book 3 in the Aces MC series and what a book it is!!! Every emotion possible ran through me whilst reading and it really is a wonderful story!!! Louise is in a violent relationship and has been for years. The morning that Liam decides to take his temper out on his 5 year old son, is the day she packs up and leaves, taking the twins with her. With car problems when she arrives in Essex and help from the bikers of the Aces and Amy, they get the support they need to stay safe... And with the connection she finds with Spike, changes their lives for the better... Spike feels the instant attraction with Louise and the twins but he also understands that she needs time, which he is more than willing to give! The beautiful journey begins and grows daily, but with a small problem... Liam has found them... With twists and turns and a hell of a helping of emotions, can the Aces MC save them? Or will it be too late? Can Louise finally open her heart and let Spike in? What is going to happen with the twins? You will find all the answers in this book, and more! A 5 star read with a beautiful HEA... Looking forward to what Ms Foster plans for the next in series!!! Reviewed by Tracy @ Ladies Of Love Book Blog And Graphics
A heart-rending, romantic suspense that will steal your heart! With it's intriguing storyline, interesting characters, humor, drama, abuse, intense situations, violence, and surprise twists, this story will pull you in and not let go till the end. A fantastic story, and a great addition to this awesome series!
I really liked the adorable twins, and was glad that they were included in the book. Not only were they a huge part of the story, but they made it seem more realistic, which made for a great read. The same goes for the way Amy and Spike jumped in and helped Louise and the kids without being asked or expecting anything, other than they wanted to help people in need. The way the club and their families pitched in to help and welcome them, barely knowing anything about them, was an amazing thing to do especially during the horrific nightmare that they had just left. It not only created new friendships, but showed all of them that there are many good people in the world.
I have really enjoyed this book and series, and would recommend them to everyone who loves great MC romances!
WOW! Spike's story is heart wrenching. Get your tissues handy cuz you will need them. Louise has been conditioned by her husband from age 14 to be under his control. When the abuse he has heaped on her turns to her son, she is done. She has a plan and she runs. Help comes from an unexpected source when her car breaks down. A few members of the ACES come to her aide, one of them is Spike.. He recognizes something in both her and her children's behaviour that turns on his protective side. Louise is skittish and Spike keeps his distance in order to gain her trust as the club members and their ladies gather round to help her out.
I'm not saying another word.. Read this book... I am a huge fan of Aimee-Louise Foster and her Aces series.. I love how the stories are intertwined, tho it can be a bit disconcerting until you figure the time frames overlap. I am champing at the bit to read "LOCKE" next.. His mysterious behaviour is about to come to light.. :)
“I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review”.
I love it. Aimee has come so far in her writing that this book just blew me away.
This is a MC book and some violence, rape and spousal abuse
I am happy to see Louise understands the difference between abuse and a dominate man that loves her. Spike doesn't dominate in the sense of a Dom but just a man that knows want he wants. He protects and takes care of her and her children not abuses. Such a difference and it took a while for Louise to figure that out.
I love that it is a stand alone story but includes information from the two previous books (Diesel and Duke) so you are informed of important facts.
Harlow (Ink) from book #1 (Diesel) was my favorite lady in these books but now I have two favorite women. Make that three as I love the character of Amy. I loved Spike from the first (such a huggy bear of a guy) but this book has me thinking he is one of my favorite Heroes.
Must say that I have a Cougar crush on Cade though.
i love biker books this book was amazing while going into a biker book your thinking is there going to be cheating dark mc and i hate cheating sometimes it makes me not like a book so im happy this author doesnt have that i was so happy to read spikes book his story is just so sad i wanted to give him a big hug there was domestic valance in this book Louise ex i wanted to beat him up no one should treat anyone the way he treated her and there kids poor tommy another air hug there was the right amount of drama to balance out the romance and make it exciting I'm glad that Spike was able to show Louise the care and support she needed Considering everything that went on in Spike's past i found him to be a very loving and kind man the way he was with her children was just wow the way louise was strong enough to get out of that situation when so many arnt as strong i think makes her a brave woman and mother i know ill continue reading more from this author she not only knows how to write the perfect man but also write strong heroines
This is the 3rd book in the Aces MC Series and this is the BEST one yet! I loved the others also, but this one had way more emotions and stuff going on. Each book in this MC series just gets better and better. I can't wait to read the next one! I loved this book sooooo much that I just couldn't put it down! I'm supposed to be packing for my family to move but I kept taking breaks just so I could keep reading to find out what happens next! It's THAT good! I even snuck and hid in the bathroom just so I could get another chapter read!
I have decided that this author is so talented she needs to just give up her personal life and write books non-stop. I am addicted to her stories and I'm going to go into withdrawals if she doesn't hurry up and keep writing books for me to read! LOL
I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes MC romance books. You won't be sorry you read these! They are awesome books that suck you into the story and make you feel like a part of it!
This series keeps getting better. The characters are so well written and amazing. Each book gives more on the main characters but also insight on the previous characters and the books to come. The Aces are a very close family. There is graphic violence in this story and a couple of sexual scenes. Although this story is about Spike this story brings a lot of information about a lot of different things. This story is well written just as the previous 2. The teasers that she puts in the end show that the next two books should be expected to be just as good. If you are looking for a good family based MC with a side of bad boys this is the series for you.
I would not recommend this series as stand alone as the timeframes overlap and the club story continues - just the main characters per book change.
Having said that :) One thing I am really enjoying is that the author is in the UK and some of the "slang" is so different. Makes me pay attention. I really liked Spike and his "Angel" I appreciated the fact that they didn't just jump into things and let it build. Love the kids.
What I struggled with - remembering everything that happened previously. I almost wish I had waited to read this series back to back.
I have been so excited about Spike's story. I knew it was going to be a good one and I wasn't disappointed. Spike went through a traumatic experience when he was a boy but it shaped him into the man he's become. He always tries to help a woman in need and Louise and her children is his latest project. Louise has been in an abusive relationship for years but it is the only relationship she's ever been in. When her husband hits her son she knows she has to do something. She and the children leave and they cross paths with Amy and Spike. Spike is immediately drawn to Louise and the children. I really enjoyed this story. I'm loving the Aces MC!
I was given a ARC copy of Spike for a honest review
It was fantastic I loved all the Characters in the book it has to be read in order of books because other characters are making PoV in this book Spike is adorable wished all men were assensitive like him Throughout the story you get to enjoy how people can support each other without knowing them previously Louise is lucky because she comes from a horrible relationship to fall in love with Spike The children are adorable I can see Devon becoming a strong character in this series Everybody should read I loved it
I loved it, I loved it, I loved it! What more can I say? I loved how Spike was so alpha yet so caring and wanted to protect Louise and her Children. This book had me crying, hoping, laughing out loud (masturbating over the phone!) and most of all I connected with the characters. Louise was strong for her children but it was little Devon that stole my heart. Usually I find children annoying in books but her character was brilliant especially the way she interacted with Spike. Another fabulous book Aimee, well done.
