Morally Grey Love Club #1

Who The Hell Are You?

Casper is used to being the attentive "nice guy". So when his girlfriend develops a sudden interest in dark romance, he is determined to deliver her fantasy. He buys the mask, perfects his broody alter-ego and climbs the garden fence.
The only problem? There's already a masked man waiting at her window.

Miles can be a little reckless and watching Casper from the shadows has him tired of waiting. He wants to be the one to finally wake him up, because he sees Cass. Maybe it's all the cinnamon romanticising the season, but Miles wants Casper to be his before Halloween. That's a promise. He just needs a new tactic.

Think less slasher, more secret admirer.

Say hello to their #Masktok era.
Between pumpkin patches, spooky-season movie marathons, overpriced spiced lattes, cosy moments on ferris wheels, eerie coastal getaways and Halloween plushies, an unexpected real spark ignites. Casper finds himself falling for the charming literature student, never suspecting Miles is the masked man who started an awakening.
He's haunting his DMs and his dreams.

Miles wants a dark romance? He’s about to get one.

This was okay, till it wasn’t. And it wasn’t when Miles filmed Cassie without him knowing. I am going to backtrack a little. Casper is a rugby player in uni, wanting to become a vet in his homeland Scotland. Miles is native English fellow, studying English lit and aspiring author. Cas has a girlfriend and always had a hard time connecting with his girlfriends…Enter Miles. These boys click instantly. Like magnets. They click as Miles and Cas and they click as their hidden personas. I didn’t understand the obsession Miles has… it was so superficial., unfounded. I didn’t understand the why of it all, but I got along…things started to feel good for them as a couple. I read and read (mind you this is a fairly short story, but it feels like it’s dragging, at least for me) then we come up at a moment where Miles really messed up at the maze, dude… wtf?? and third strike when he professed his feelings over Text! Baby, really??? There was some very good moments in this book and there was some that were dum dum.. also Emery??? wtf Cas?! You see one of your only bffs spiralling and obv leaving and you not checking on them, what kind of a friend does that??? The epilogue was equal parts yeah cool/ nope need more!!!

✨May contain spoilers✨

This book was utter perfection. Casper and Miles were so a good time with all the cute moments and of course, the fun masked times.

We meet Casper who is in a relationship with Grace, who really doesn’t appreciate him. Heck, she forgot he was with her at some point. She was even mad when Miles gives him his hoodie when he was wet. She was really ridiculous and later in the book, I was so happy when Miles chewed her a new one. She acted like she knew him but she really did not.

The whole masked men concept was everything for me. Who doesn’t love a mask man? Those thirst traps. Yes please! A man that is so obsessed with the other and how his other self acted like he didn’t just stalk him. Freaking loved it!

When Miles meets Casper’s parents at the hospital from an injury and he’s loopy from drugs, I was giggling so hard.

A certain chapter when Casper felt hurt and gives Miles a taste of his own medicine was perfect. The way that the mask forefront came forward was absolutely incredible to me.

I really loved the found family in this book. I just love how everyone was so supportive of Miles and Casper except for a certain person. It didn’t surprise me.

The way that these two are it for one another really shows how far their love and attraction truly goes. I just loved how they started as strangers and gradually led into a relationship. I love relationships that truly show how much they love one another and would do just about everything to prove it.

Okay now, I need the next book because the way it ended makes me eager for the next couple.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

! This was 1000% what I needed to get into the fall spirit!

I do not know what Jessica put in these pages but it felt like crack. When I tell you I was glued to this book like white on rice it is a grave understatement!

I am COMPLETELY obsessed with Casper and Miles and I desperately NEED more of them.

"First times" is one of my favorite tropes and this book brought it and then some!

I can't wait to grab a physical copy to add to my bookshelf!

🖤 Miles + Casper
mm | jock x literature student | masked men | stalking(ish) | dark(ish) romcom | found family

Okay, babes...

◇ I am a seasonal reader. This means I have a smorgasbord of seasonal reads I want to get through at certain times of the year. Halloween is a favorite of mine so while it IS still September, I'm starting my Halloween reads so I can devour as many as I can.

My Thoughts:
This was the author's debut mm romance and lemme tell you...I. AM. OBSESSED.

That initial meet cute was HAWT. Good lord.

The other meet cute was SO CUTE. The instant connection between Miley and Cassie was swoon worthy. I'm serious, y'all. Some of THE best relationship development I've ever read. Throw in Halloween shenanigans and some cosy vibes and this was so much more than I expected.

Of course I didn't like how the secret was kept BUT as Casper noted, the option to reveal the face was ALWAYS there. And let's be honest, that made some hot as fuck scenes.

Casper was a bottom baby. I LOVED how confident and secure he was with Miles and how he spoiled him. And Miles was just too damn dominant and sweet to his sweet man. Gah! They were SO cute.

The spice was spicin'. We got some AMAZING scenes from start the finish. A perfect, balanced plot of spice and relationship. Such a fun, Halloween-themed read. Absolutely, well done.

And that epilogue? Ahhhhh! Adorable and funny!

But y'all, that sneak peek for the next book? Angsty as fuck and my heart HURT with just a few pages. Holy shit, Jessica Oliver can write.

The only thing I found a bit off-putting was certain phrases and sentence structure. To me, some sentences felt...incomplete? BUT I'm American and I believe the author is from Europe so I'm assuming that's the reasoning behind this. And it could use a bit more editing.

{I'm literally wedged between a tree and a hard place–the hard place being his dick, that I can feel through his jeans, pressing into my own. Fucking baby Jesus.}
♡♡♡
{He's funny, kind, aware he's built like a god but is so humbly gorgeous, and smart? The real kicker is that he's oblivious to it all, as he blushes and smiles his way through situations. I want to crack him wide open and see what falls out. Let him out of his cage to show everyone who he really is. I can tell he's bottled things deeper than he realises. First task to unleash the real Cass; get him to let out the masked devil I saw a little glimpse of before he puddled under my touch.}
♡♡♡
{I open the camera and take the picture. Not stopping to overthink anything in the shot, I hit send and there it is, my own cock sitting right next to his in our chat.}
♡♡♡
{“Oh yeah, you'll have me on my knees sucking you like a fucking slut for a disfigured pumpkin.”
Yep, I'm dead. This man is going to ruin me, in the best possible way.}

{“Tell me, Cassie Sweetheart, when I slide my dick into your tight little virgin ass, how long do you think it’ll take before you’re spraying down the sheets with cum?”}

{“I fucking love you! I love you so much! I’m going to fucking marry you, have kids with you and die with you. We’re dying together, I’ll make it happen.”} - This part was SO funny. I cackled.

ARC REVIEW

Spooky season has officially arrived! 🎃

What happens when you get stalked by Ghostface or should I say @yourghostboy but happen to like it? 👀

That’s exactly what happens to Casper when his mysterious stalker challenges him to join MaskTok and start a race to 100,000 followers, with the prize being the identity of the man behind the Ghostface mask.

But Casper is one lucky guy because, at the same time, he also finds the guy of his dreams, Miles. ❤️

Now I hear you thinking: That sounds complicated. Who the hell is he going to choose?

Well… things are a lot easier than they look when your stalker and your boyfriend are actually one and the same. 🤷‍♀️😂

Expect:

👻 Chases through corn mazes
👻 A grand finale straight out of a classic slasher
👻 An inked Reaper persona with a gingerbread heart
👻 An aspiring writer who loves seeing his dark romance tropes come to life

The only thing that bothered me was the whole Casper/Miles/Ghostboy situation. Casper was romantically involved with both of them at the same time, without knowing they were actually the same person.

I know Casper wasn’t technically cheating but it still bothered me that he was with them on the same day, only a few hours apart. 🙈
I know this is totally a me thing, so call it a pet peeve, but It kept playing in my head 🙈

That said, I absolutely loved the final chapters. The finale was exactly the kind of chaotic, slasher-style fun I wanted from a spooky-season romance, and I’ll definitely be reading the next one.

And PLEASE Casper it really wasn’t that difficult to figure out 😂😂😂

Perfect for halloween lovers

Not a dark romance so dont be put off by thinking it is by the halloween theme. They are actually very sweet, the chemistry was incredible ive knocked a star off just because him not knowing who it was went on too long especially as he fell in love and told his parents about him i didnt like the fact he felt guilty about being with ghost face yet still continued to do it and that miles said he was fine with him being with others but he wouldn't be eugh dont tell him that make him jealous 🙄🤣. Saying all that i really did enjoy this book it flowed well I liked both characters.

This was a hoot! It wasn't perfect but I ate it up, ugh I just loved masked men. Cass and Miles were amazing together, so sweet and hot too. I cannot wait for book 2, it'll definitely be more angsty I feel. The found family was great and there's definitely potential for quite a few books! Now I'm so in the mood for spooky season, can summer be over already lol?

4.5 stars, rounded up!

Who know the whole mask kink thing could be this cute and fluffy? Man, I really enjoyed this one a lot. It's hot, it's exciting, but it's also super adorable and sweet at the same time. Don't go into this expecting dark romance, peeps, because it's not. But it is definitely a love letter to the genre and I adored it!

When we meet Caspar, he's with his girlfriend Grace. I disliked her immediately, honestly. She's absolutely not likeable in the least. Meanwhile, Caspar is just the most precious sweet baby and I wanted to cuddle him constantly. And then Miles entered the arena and oh gosh, I adored him instantly. These two are so very good together! The spice is off the charts and the romance itself is so sweet I nearly got a toothache from it. (And don't worry, for those that dislike cheating, it's not in this book.)

The story is fairly low angst, honestly. It's just a sweet, cozy romance perfect for spooky season. I'm very excited to read the next book in the series because I kind of just fell in love with all of the characters... except Grace. We don't like her. Trust me.

Definitely recommend checking this one out for those who want a cozy low angst romance that also doubles as a love letter to Halloween and dark romance. And masks. Obviously.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5

This book was so much fun!! I enjoyed the plot and the masked men aspects were perfection 🤭 The Halloween vibes of this book was everything! It definitely tied everything up together and left me obsessed 😍

I loved Caspar and omg his girlfriend didn’t deserve him in the beginning! He was such a sweetheart and I loved that he was willing to try one of his girlfriend’s fantasies. But Cas with Miles was everything!! I loved how he was with Miles and especially his love language! The gift giving was so sweet 🥹

Miles was so sweet and I loved that he treated Caspar well in their relationship! He was also a little unhinged and I just love when a book character likes books and dark romance!! I love that Miles saw Caspar and was just like… I am gonna make him mine 😆

Their relationship progresses in two ways: one in the masked man way and the other in real life. Seeing Miles and Caspar falls for each other is so cute and I love that they treat each other so well! Whereas when they are using the masks, the switch flips and the sexual tension between them increases tenfold 😮‍💨 But it’s safe to say they were down bad for each other the whole time 🤭

Their spice was so hott and damn I loved that when Miles revealed he was the masked man; Caspar decided to give Miles the ultimate horror Halloween movie experience 😩

This was a perfect summerween read for me! And would definitely be such a good Halloween read!

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: Firstly I want to thank the author for allowing me to ARC read, with that being said all opinions are my own. My, My, my where do I even begin with these two? 🤭 I don’t know who I want to be my book boyfriend more Miles or Caspian, because Jesus both of these boys had me squealing. This is the perfect spooky time read for all the masktok loving pals 😍 . I also completely adored all the side characters and I need all of their stories immediately (especially Harris and Em, like today actually)
The only thing for me personally that kept it from being a 5 star, was just the amount of pop culture references in the book, this is just a personal preference of mine.
This book is just ugghhh , I am mad at myself for not ARC reading it as soon as it hit my inbox

Solid story, but it for sure needed some editing. Characters kept withering instead of writhing, which was very distracting. There were several times that the author used words that made no sense in context. And she spelled Giles from Buffy as Jiles??

But overall, I think this was a solid story with interesting characters. Even the side characters got fleshed out, which is the sign of a good writer.

Just pay an editor, for goodness sake.

Miles and Casper were the best! I was little worried when Casper had a gf but there is not cheating in this book.

This was the perfect cozy, spicy, spooky, sweet book. I liked that there was no angst and no real questioning of sexuality. It just fit and they were perfect.

The mask (secret identity) play was done well and it was so fun!

Perfect Halloween Rom-Com! We need more books like this

Well, I had a great time reading this book. I went into this book thinking it was going to be a cutesy MM rom-com and it was, but also so much more! Give me that sprinkle of darkness! 😈 We had some stalking, a masktok account battle…it was a super fun read and the fall/Halloween theme made my fall/Halloween loving heart so happy! 🎃👻🍁 I’m totally in for book 2!

An MM Halloween RomCom to kick off your spooky season right! I never would have thought that the perfect meet cute would be two masked men bumping into each other outside the same house in the middle of the night but it totally is! This book had the perfect amount of tension and chaos while still being a cozy read. Casper and Miles were absolutely perfect and I giggled my way through the entire book. I can see this one becoming a comfort read for me.

Did I love this story? Yes. Did I also have mixed feelings at times? Also yes. I loved the premise of this story. Masked man Cass, looking to spice up his sex life with his girlfriend, finds himself confronted with an unknown masked man of his own, Miles. The attraction between them was immediate and palpable!! You could feel the chemistry between them and just knew it would be hot when they got together.

For the most part, I did enjoy the plot with the anonymous masked man helping Cass come out of his shell. I do wish it hadn’t carried on as long as it did. Even though Miles was the masked man, and even though he told Cass he was ok with casual (so he could keep being with him as the masked man), it began to feel a little gross to me. We know it was Miles but Cass didn’t, and when the corn maze scene happened, it was hot, yes, but it made me feel kinda uncomfortable. He was at the maze WITH MILES but fooled around with the masked
man. Made me like Cass just a little less because of it so I was annoyed about Miles not coming clean yet.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed the rest of the story. I loved their Halloween together. But man was that a crazy way to end the book with Em & Harris!! And the sneak peak with Micah!?!? I can’t wait for the next book!

Oh my god this was absolute perfection! It had everything I love in it first it’s perfect for summerween it has my favourite mask of all time in ghostface we have anonymous texting! When caspers girlfriend wants him to explore more of her dark romance books he gets a mask and shows up at her window but when he does someone else is there watching and he thinks he’s there for his girlfriend but he’s there for Cass and cass has a unexpected reaction when ghostface is all up in his business!
Miles immediately goes home and makes a masktok account and starts messaging Cass on his official instagram and challenges him to make a masktok account and whoever gets too 100K first will get the other to unmask
Cass and Miles meet cute is adorable Cass literally runs into him and Miles spills his coffee all over Cass and he goes to join him for the coffee with his guelfeiwnd who completely ignores him so he gets miles all to himself!
More masked shenanigans happen Miles films in his room and then they end up doing things together thankfully his girlfriend broke up with him so he can focus on Miles and Ghostface who he thinks is two different people
As him and miles get more attached he does feel bad because he feels like he’s not focusing on miles but miles being ghostface tells him he wants to be open
I loved this story so much because it has SO many things I love it has all the Halloween things and the pumpkin spice and adorable plushies which Cass gifts to Miles that’s his love language and the smile on Miles every time Cass does it is freaking adorable!
It hoodies have very intense moments too especially when Cass ex calls and says her house is on fire and he thinks miles is in the house but miles is back at his house because she texted and he thinks they are back together
Cass being Cass he rescues people while looking for Miles SO he ended up falling and hurting himself but high Cass was hilarious I mean he told his mom to leave his dad because he was eying his boyfriend LOL
I was really reallllly scared when Miles was planning on telling Cass he was ghostface because I’m like don’t let this break them! So after this first official time together Miles sends pictures and videos to Cass masktok account saying I’m sorry and I love you! The thing that Cass doesn’t take well is miles saying I love you under the mask account so he plans the ultimate Halloween for Miles taking from his favourite movies planning on scaring him seducing him and punishing him until he’s sorry which results in a very very HOT scene! Also two words corn maze!!
Their relationship develops so differently because it’s two sides too it it’s miles and then ghostface but it makes their relationship work because after everything is found out they keep their masktok accounts their masks and keep the spark in their account!
In the end we get an epilogue and they both are on the farm! Which are you freaking kidding me!? Abs adorable and the propoallllllll with the ring he bought when they first went away together was just chefs kiss!!
The sneak peek of book 2 looks intense AF we have Cass friend Harris who’s all sullen because his best friend and potential love interest didn’t go to the farm with them and hasn’t visited so the tension is gonna be insane!

If you are waiting for a spooky season and cozy reads, this is the perfect book! Who The Hell Are You is the absolute epitome of cozy and chaotic. It is a spicy and utterly heartwarming masterpiece that will have you kicking your feet, giggling out loud, and gasping through your teeth on every single page! If you love two lovesick idiots simping so hard for each other that they completely lose their minds, this book is going to become your entire personality!

The story kicks off when Casper, a sweet, muscular, tattooed rugby player with pure golden retriever energy, agrees to indulge his girlfriend’s dark romance fantasies by breaking into her house wearing a mask. But when he shows up in her garden, he runs straight into another guy in a mask! Enter Miles: a wonderfully unhinged chaos demon who sees Casper, decides "I want that one," and pins him to a tree in a burst of intense, masked tension. Shortly after, Casper literally collides with Miles out in the real world, spilling coffee everywhere, and the unmasked spark between them is instantaneous! What follows is a delicious double life filled with anonymous MaskTok challenges, spooky fall dates, pumpkin spice vibes, and two men falling hopelessly, deeply, and obsessively in love with each other twice over!

I am a complete sucker for a simp, but mutual simping where both main characters are down BAD for each other?! Absolute perfection. Miles committing to his mission of winning Casper over was hilarious and wild, while Casper’s love language of buying cute little plushies and hoodies for Miles completely melted my heart! This book hits every single autumnal note without ever feeling overdone! Between the cozy coffee dates, horror movie references, fall festivities, and the sheer heat of two guys using masks to keep the spark alive, it captures the ultimate spooky-season atmosphere. Oh my god, the masked scenes hit that thrill factor so perfectly without ever truly being scary. The high-heat dynamic (wink wink to corn mazes and punishment scenes) managed to stay intensely passionate, wildly spicy, and completely consensual. And that epilogue (trying not to spoil)?! Chef’s kiss!

This book was truly the coziest of spooky reads! Jessica Oliver somehow made primal and mask play fluffy! You get all the thrilling, pulse-pounding edge of a light dark-ish romance with the sheer comfort of a warm, pumpkin-spiced autumn hug. It’s the ultimate proof that a man in a Ghostface mask can pin you up against a tree one minute and take you on a coffee date the next, leaving you grinning at your Kindle with your heart completely melted and wanting your own boo thing this fall season!

Okay, this book was SO much fun! 😂🎃

Meet Casper, a college student who isn’t exactly thrilled with his current relationship. He’s a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to cows, and he’s studying to become a veterinarian. But his life takes a very unexpected turn when a little masked-man game with his girlfriend goes completely off the rails… because there’s already ANOTHER masked man standing at her window. 👀

After a scuffle between the two masked men, Casper discovers something he definitely wasn’t expecting—he is VERY attracted to this mysterious stranger. 😏🔥

Then we have Miles—sweet, charming, Halloween-obsessed and a lover of all things dark romance. He’s also friends with Casper’s girlfriend, and when he and Casper literally crash into each other, the chemistry is instant. Miles falls hard for Casper’s charm, loyalty, sense of humour and, most importantly, his love language of gift giving. 🥹❤️

When Casper’s relationship finally comes to an end, he and Miles start seeing each other, and there’s a connection between them that neither can ignore.

But there’s still the mysterious masked man…

This masked stranger keeps making appearances, awakening desires in Casper that he never really knew were there. And while Casper knows he wants something real with Miles, he can’t deny how much he’s enjoying his encounters with the masked man. Talk about being conflicted! 😏🎭

Of course, what Casper doesn’t realise is that Miles and the masked man are one and the same! 👀

When Miles finally comes clean and declares his love, Casper decides to turn the tables with the ultimate Halloween-inspired kink trap. 🎃🎭 And let me tell you… the payoff is SO good!

This book has humour, romance, fantastic spice, masked men, social media chaos, thousands of followers, Halloween vibes and ALL the feels. 😂🔥❤️

Jessica Oliver has created such a fun, quirky and entertaining romance that had me smiling, laughing and thoroughly invested in Casper and Miles.

4.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ | 5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Disclosure: I received a complimentary eARC of Who The Hell Are You? by Jessica Oliver in exchange for an honest review.

Who The Hell Are You? by Jessica Oliver is the brilliant first book in the Morally Grey Love Club series.

The story follows Casper—who, used to being the attentive "nice guy," tries to fulfill his girlfriend's sudden interest in dark romance by donning a mask and climbing her garden fence, only to find a masked man already waiting at her window. That masked man is Miles, a reckless literature student who has been watching Casper from the shadows and decides to shift tactics from slasher to secret admirer before Halloween.

What follows is a delightfully unhinged, #Masktok-era journey filled with pumpkin patches, spooky movie marathons, overpriced spiced lattes, ferris wheels, eerie coastal getaways, and Halloween plushies. As Casper falls for the charming literature student in real life while getting haunted online, in his home and in his dreams by his masked stalker, an unexpected spark ignites—complemented by delicious guilt over his dual affections and Miles' secrets.

Jessica Oliver crafts an absolute triumph of cozy, spooky MM romance. The dynamic between the leads is hilariously magnetic, blending sweet real-life interactions with unhinged dark-romance tropes. While stalking and hidden-identity mix-ups are strictly meant for the safety of fiction, the execution hits every right note, balancing high-heat spice with laugh-out-loud humor and cozy autumn vibes.

Who The Hell Are You? is a fantastic, warm, and wildly entertaining spooky rom-com. If you love hidden identities, spicy first times, and chaotic charm, this is an unmissable read.

Sorry, but two men who are completely obsessed with each other? Immediate weakness. I LOVE a simp, but mutual simping?! Even better.

This was the perfect mix of spooky, spicy, chaotic, and ridiculously cute. The masked antics, the videos, and anonymous messaging gave it that slightly unhinged edge I was hoping for, while the actual romance between Cass and Miles was surprisingly sweet. These two were down BAD for each other, and I ate up every second of it.

Miles especially had me cracking up because this man really said 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆 and committed to the mission. 😂 He’s a little unhinged and we love him for it! Cass is an absolute cinnamon roll (although he definitely has his own unhinged moments 👀), and together they somehow make perfect sense. I loved the flirting, the anonymous messaging, the masks, and especially how completely gone these two were for each other. The amount of times I actually giggled OUT LOUD while reading?! Embarrassing. 😂 These two had me grinning at my kindle constantly.

And the VIBES!! Pumpkin spice, horror references, cozy coffee dates, fall festivities, cute little gifts, rugby boys, masks, and plenty of spice. It gave me everything I wanted from a Summerween romance!

And can we talk about the side characters?! Because I am already OBSESSED with this entire group. Give me their mess, their drama, their love stories. ALL OF IT. I’m attached now, so naturally I need every single one of them to get a book immediately. 👀

Basically: come for the Ghostface vibes, stay for two lovesick idiots simping HARD for each other… and an entire group of side characters you’re going to want more of.

Masked men, hidden identity, primal play and spooky season...sign me up! This book has everything that I love and it delivered massively, it was the perfect combination of spicy, spooky, unhinged and adorable.

I loved the romance between Cass and Miles and how it developed. From the initial masked encounter to the actual meet cute moment, they were hooked on one another. I found myself laughing so much with Miles mission of "I want that one", no way was he letting Cass go. His anonymous thirst traps were genius and then the egging on of Cass to do similar, honestly I couldn't stop chuckling. Cass was adorable and deserved the world, I was so happy to see him fall for Miles and be loved for who he is. The moment where Miles listens to him talk about his passion for his future career was when I knew these guys were perfect for one another, that and Cass love language of gift giving, it was just so thoughtful. That said, Cass does have his unhinged moments which again cemented how good these two were for one another!

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading. I really loved the Halloween, autumn vibes, the horror references (especially towards the end) and being Scottish, really enjoyed seeing the Scots represented in a MMC especially when he was so amazing.

The side characters were brilliant, they really tied the story together with perfection and I am really interested to see what happens in the next book.

If you love horror references especially Ghostface masks, Halloween vibes, masked men and an altogether awesome time, this is the book for you.

This book was such a fun surprise. I went in expecting a spooky, masked romance with some chaotic moments, and somehow it ended up being just as cute as it was entertaining.

Casper and Miles were easily my favorite part. I loved watching their relationship develop from basically being strangers into something much deeper, especially with the whole masked-identity situation making everything ten times more complicated. The fact that Casper thinks he’s dealing with two different people while we know exactly what’s going on made for some genuinely funny moments.

The masked men concept was probably what initially pulled me in, but it was the smaller moments that really made me love the story. The hoodies, the little gifts, the Halloween atmosphere, the pumpkin spice, and all the ridiculous situations these two somehow find themselves in. Casper giving Miles plushies as a way of showing affection was especially adorable.

I also really enjoyed the found-family aspect. The side characters brought so much personality to the story, and I’m already invested in getting their stories. Harris and Em in particular have me very curious about what comes next.

Casper’s ex was definitely a character I loved to dislike, and watching Casper finally realize what he deserved was incredibly satisfying. I also loved seeing how protective and supportive everyone around him became.

Overall, this was a really entertaining spooky-season read with a great mix of romance, mystery, humor, and chaos. The ending had me immediately wanting the next book, especially after that little glimpse of what’s coming.

Let the MaskTok battle begin! 🔥🫠

Welp… I was hooked the second the words “so fucking hot” left Miles’ mouth. 😂 I knew immediately I was going to have a problem with this book.

I am SO fucking in love with both of these guys. Like, genuinely. Miles and Casper completely stole my heart, and I desperately NEED this book made into a movie. The chemistry? The masks? The singing? The absolute chaos? Give me the fucking popcorn because I need to WATCH THIS. 😂

I absolutely loved the way Miles and Casper fell for each other in real life while simultaneously hooking up behind the mask. The tension and anticipation of watching their relationship develop in both worlds was SO good.

This book has basically everything I love in a spicy read. I was pretty much in a constant state of “OMFG” from beginning to end. 😂🔥

💧 Spitting
🎭 Masked men
🔥 Frotting
🎤 Boys who can sing
👀 The tension
🌶️ The spice
🤯 Me losing my fucking mind approximately every five minutes

And can we PLEASE talk about Casper’s parents?! They win the Best Book Parents Award. 🥇🤣 I absolutely adored them.

Honestly, if I could give this book more than five stars, I fucking would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was ridiculously fun, ridiculously spicy, and SO damn easy to get completely sucked into. Miles and Casper are going to live rent-free in my head for a while, and I already know this is going to be one of my favourite books I’ve read this year. 😍

Now excuse me while I go stare dramatically into the distance and wonder how the hell I’m supposed to move on from these two. 😂❤️

This is the first book of the series "Morally Grey Love Club" and I must say wow, what a book! I've been following Jessica for a while and pre-ordered this book the moment I could! As soon as Arcs opened i jumped at the chance! And I was not disappointed! I devoured this book within a matter of hours.
I absolutely adored Miles and Casper's relationship and how Casper navigates his "two relationships" with Masked Miles and Unmasked Miles.
Casper is in a relationship with his girlfriend, who wants to take their relationship to new heights and tries to introduce a little 'dark romance' with masks. Little does Casper know, Miles is waiting for him, in a mask, as Casper tries his plan of "breaking into" his girlfriends home in a mask. What follows is a dark and spicy relationship between the two masked men. All while Casper and Miles "unmasked" grow closer and enter a beautiful relationship once Casper has broken up with by his girlfriend.
The way Casper discovered Miles was his masked man, it was quite funny, sweet, a little sad and a whole lot of spice! Both men just wanted to be loved and I'm glad they both found their happy endings!
This book was absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend to literally everyone!
It's sweet, dark, spicy... Everything you'd want in a Halloween 👻 book! If I could rate this book higher than 5* I so would! Definitely one of my top books of 2026! Everyone needs to read this book!

So thank you Jessica for writing a fantastic book and Im very much looking forward to other books in this series! 💞

This book is everything it promises to be: spooky season on steroids, rugby players, smut readers, corn maze chases, and a masked stalker. What more could you ask for?

To say I smiled through 80% of this book is an understatement. You know that meme of the guy lying in bed, staring at the screen with the biggest grin on his face? That was me.

Casper, our shy, lovable rugby player, is doing his best to step outside his comfort zone for his new girlfriend. Agreeing to try something new, he throws on a sexy mask and sneaks outside her bedroom window.

But Apparently he's not the only masked, muscular creep in town. One unexpected encounter outside that window leads to some very hot camera action and introduced this innocent reader to something called MaskedTok. 😵

As Casper finds himself torn between the attention of his mysterious masked admirer and fellow university student and horror smut writer Miles, we are smothered in spiced lattes, pumpkin patches, boo baskets, and all that delicious tension that gives me butterflies! Or, as Miles would say... baby bats. 🦇

Even the instalove vibes are organic and explained with clarity.

If you're looking for the ultimate autumn read, this is it. Fast-paced, funny, full of fantastic supporting characters, sizzling chemistry, supportive families, self discovery, and just the right amount of spice, this book delivered everything I love. I've already preordered a physical copy because that adorable cover deserves a permanent place on my shelf.

Where do I start? This book was exactly what I needed! If you're into spooky season, have a love of horror movies and cute romance, you will LOVE this book!!!

It's a short read, but you don't feel like you lose anything as the plot develops so well.

We get rom-style choices and plot devices throughout which are very fun. The characters are really adorable and you just fall in love with them as it goes on.

They're written so well and have very distinct personalities fir their POVs. I also loved the addition of the cute chapter titles and the page breaks 👻💕 I'm a sucker for a pretty book!

I ate the book up and missed them so much after. Which is a sign of a good book. I would safely put this in amongst my all time faves.

To give you a breakdown of the plot without spoiling it, we have Casper who is a cute, seemingly shy rugby guy with a girlfriend. He's agreed to spice things up with some maskplay and break into his girlfriends house (we don't like her though 🤭). Enter Miles in a mask waiting in the garden, and the awakening of a love story ensues.

There's CUTE stalking 🫠. Horror references throught - the author has tremendous taste btw! You'll have "OMFG" moments. "Aren't they so cute" moments 🥰 and maybe you'll cry just a little. There's also a healthy dose of spice to sate the appetites of all you horny romance readers like me 👀👌

6 stars. ALL THE STARS! Mark it to read in September when it releases, you wont be disappointed!

I knew I was in my dark romcom era, but give me a dark romcom centered around Halloween and you have my FULL attention! I LOVED this book! 🎃🖤

Miles and Cass had me absolutely obsessed. Miles is the most romantically unhinged man, and I swear every time he did something completely insane I was just sitting there like, yep, I love this man. 😂 And Cass?! This adorably clueless little bean had my whole heart. Watching Miles win Cass over as himself while bringing out this whole kinky, adventurous side of him behind the mask was SO much fun. Poor Cass was over here feeling guilty because he thought he was hooking up with someone else, meanwhile I was screaming at the page because the clues were practically waving at him. I knew exactly what was happening and it was still DELICIOUS watching it all play out.

I loved how much this book balanced the spicy masked encounters with the genuinely sweet relationship developing between them. Add in all the Halloween fun, cozy fall vibes, ridiculous amounts of flirting, and a whole cast of characters I already need more of, and I was having the absolute best time. This was such a fun, feel good spooky season read with just enough dark romcom chaos to keep my little gremlin heart happy.

And that teaser for book two?! Absolutely TORTURE. I am officially FERAL for what is coming next. Read this book right MEOW and join me in my new obsession! 🎃🖤🔥

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. Out of all the dark romance I’ve read, this is by far the best. Casper and Miles have great chemistry and it’s heavy on the romcom element than the dark romance, which was perfect for me.

I honestly don’t know what to say besides I ran through this book and it was a perfect start to the fall season. This is jam packed with seasonal delights and very aware of today’s world—which may or may not work for some (so be ready for social media and modern day entertainment to be referenced, especially masktok). Miles was the perfect balance of unhinged and golden retriever, while Cass was a golden retriever dressed as a black cat. I mean Miles being obsessed with Cade, hiding outside his girlfriend’s house (thinking it’s his) and then concocting a plan to get him for himself… that’s next level stalk vibes, but I get him haha.

The spice wasn’t that heavy and was actually well done. There’s a mix between Masked Miles and Cass and between the two as themselves. The best were the Ferris wheel and corn maze…very interesting. I did get a little bit upset with the nonconsensual filming and posting and going live on TikTok while being intimate, but it’s a dark romance so I guess it’s a part of it. But I can overlook my discomfort with that and enjoy the rest of the book.

I think everyone should pick this up and enjoy a nice fall read
