I picked up " Rudraman" because the idea of mythology mixed with science fiction sounded interesting, and it turned out to be such an enjoyable read. The story blends ancient legends, alien invasions, and cosmic mysteries in a way that feels fresh and exciting.
What kept me turning the pages was the fast pace and the constant sense of adventure. I especially loved Princess Shakti's character. She is brave, determined, and plays an equally important role in the story. Rudra's journey and the emotional moments added more depth to all the action and battles.
The world-building is one of the strongest parts of the book. The descriptions made everything feel vivid, almost like watching a mythological fantasy film unfold. Every new revelation made me even more curious about what would happen next.
If you enjoy mythology with a unique twist, strong characters, and a story filled with action and mystery, " Rudraman" is definitely worth picking up.

I am someone who rarely picks up mythological fiction as part of my reading preferences but the blurb of this book felt so convincing that I thought the language would be easy for me to follow. Hence I decided to give it a try.
The basic plot of the story might seem simple and even a known war concept, a war between good and bad in order to save the Earth. Even in this book the same concept applies. In 10,000 BC a mysterious alien spaceship crashes in the Himalayas. This crash wakes up the powerful Lord Rudra, who is also a strong warrior. The fight between the good Lord Rudra and the evil Taraak along with the alien creatures forms the basic plot. However, the story becomes even more interesting with characters like Shakti, her connection with Rudra and their journey together etc.
This is the mythological book that felt really easy for me to read despite its higher page count. The book has characters and incidents that are kind of known to Indian mythology readers and it was easy for me to connect with the plot. The map presented at the beginning of the book made it easier to visualize the story. I also liked the naming of each character in this book, as it was easy to read. So, in simple words this is a simple and easily written mythological fiction that can be read by everyone incuding the one who are new to this genre.

Woh Rudra jo sirf ek dev nahi, ek energy hain… ek force jise humanity bhool chuki thi.Rudra aur Shakti ka connection is the soul of this book. Unhe bachana sirf ek mission nahi, ek cosmic balance ka sawaal ban jata hai. Aur jab Asurax jaise dark forces saamne aate hain, tab feel hota hai ki yeh battle sirf Earth ke liye nahi, existence ke liye hai.Shambala ka creation, Rudrasen warriors ka rise, aur Nandi ki presence,sab milke story ko ek alag hi depth dete hain. Pure Himalayan vibe aati hai,raw, spiritual, powerful.Haan, kuch jagah pacing thodi uneven lagti hai, but overall idea itna strong hai ki aap connected rehte ho.Agar aapko mythology with a modern twist pasand hai… yeh book definitely try karo.Yeh sirf kahani nahi hai… yeh yaad dilati hai ki kuch shaktiyaan kabhi khatam nahi hoti sirf so jaati hain.

An epic awaits for you to unravel the world of Shiva

I chose this book because of the Title Rudra Man, I was quite amazed by the cover as it showcase the power of Shiva.
When I started reading the prologue of the book it enticed me as it showcase lord Shiva vision of how he lost his love of his life and it also connects with a new story which author wants to convey but overall I believe this book gave me a wonderful story which I will adore and keep it in my heart.
The world which I saw and heard many times about this book keep its essence and carry forwards it's story along with it which made me love this new story telling.
A must read Indian mythological fiction, book lover's start reading this book as you are not going to regret it, I loved it you are gonna love it too.

I don't think I've ever read a sci-fi. Specially a mythology inspired sci-fi. So this was a very different read for me. And honestly, i loved every second of it. As a true believer of Shiv ji and Parvati ji, the inspiration from their characters made it more impactful for me.
It was very easy to follow and a really quick read. I read this in under 3 hours. My favorite moment is when Shakti and Rudra meet for the first time and instantly, everything clicks into place. Everything starts making sense.
The end was so hard to read and i was genuinely scared, which tells exactly how much impact the book had on me.
Overall, this book has me convinced to pick up both mythological books and science fiction books.

The character of lord Rudra is very interesting because of the build up around him and his growth arc. The world around him is very immersive as well. Definitely a book to look forward to for the lovers of this genre.

10,000 BC— Rudra found a strange Vimana, a pyramid shaped vessel crash landed near the foot of the Himalayas. The gadgets and machinery inside surprised Rudra so did the two charred dead bodies which did not resemble humans. 100 years later, around 9900 BC, the Alien king Taraak, leader of the Asurax has descended on the Earth with an intention to invade. While most empires across the globe have fallen, as Taraak and his army beheaded Kings and Taraak forcibly married the princesses, King Himanjaya of the Sindhu Samrajya refused to bow to the Alien king.
Princesses Shakti, the daughter of King Himanjaya who is born with four arms and has been raised to be a mighty warrior decides to meet Rudra and request his help to end Taraak’s reign. After losing his wife Aparna, Rudra became a recluse; will Shakti be able to reach Mount Rudraparbat and convince Rudra to fight alongside her army, forms the rest of the story.
The story is not just about alien-invasion with Indian names pasted onto it, and it isn’t a straight mythological retelling either. The author merges the two so that Vedic ideas of energy, prophecy, and cosmic order sit right beside spaceship wreckage and monstrous alien beasts. The hidden fortress city shielded by an energy dome, the ancient empire that stretches from Mesopotamia to Sumatra, the idea of the Amrita as something that can birth gods as easily as it can end worlds, all of it is built with enough internal logic.
Rudra himself is the book’s strongest asset; a hero defined less by the scale of his power and more by the grief he is dragging behind him, which the story an emotional undercurrent. Shakti is where the book’s ambitions and its execution pull in contrasting directions. She is introduced as a warrior and a strategist in her own right, but a fair amount of her arc ends up orbiting Rudra’s, her curiosity about him, her pull toward him, her place in his prophecy, rather than standing fully on its own. I wanted a little more of the war side of her character and a little less of the destined companion side.
The pacing has a similar unevenness as the first act, where civilizations are collapsing and the scale of the threat is still unclear, is genuinely gripping, but the middle stretch slows to accommodate a fair amount of world-building exposition about the Sindhu Samrajya’s politics and the mechanics of the Amrita, some of which could have been folded into the action rather than paused for. The battles aren’t there simply to fill pages between plot points, they are moments where characters are forced to decide what they are actually fighting for, and that keeps the action sequences from ever feeling hollow or forced.
Rudraman is at its best when it commits fully to being strange with ancient yogis, alien tyrants, ninth generation empires, all sharing the same page without a hint of irony.

I picked up Rudraman believing that it'd be a blend of Indian mythology with high-concept science fiction, and what I found was a story that genuinely sweeps you off your feet. What begins as a whisper of a forgotten warrior and a terrifying alien invasion rapidly explodes into a sweeping divine blend of traditional values and mythology, a world of forgotten civilizations, star-spanning conflicts, and the desperate quest for the sacred Amrita. It truly is, a thrilling blend of mythology, science fiction, adventure, and fantasy that feels ambitious in the best possible way.
Yet, no matter how vast the universe grew, the story never lost its heartbeat. Which is quite appreciable thing to admire as a reader and wonderful thing as a writer, anchoring its grandest celestial moments in raw, human feeling.
The world-building here doesn't just ask for your attention; it commands your imagination. I just finished Rudra Man: The Battle for Earth by Vishwas Mudagal and honestly... I don't think I'm over this book yet. Like... where do I even start?
At first, I thought it would be another mythology-inspired story, you know... something familiar. But this book surprised me in the best possible way. It takes Indian mythology and blends it with sci-fi, alien civilizations, divine weapons, ancient prophecies, and emotional drama... and somehow makes everything work together perfectly.
One quote that I really liked was, "Peace is fragile, Shakti. It must be earned, defended, and cherished." For that thing alone, you can understand that this story is not just about wars and battles. It has heart. It has meaning. Another line I loved was, "If you want to save your people, you must think not with your weapons but with your mind." And honestly... that quote says so much about the book. There is action, yes. Lots of it. But there is also wisdom, leadership, sacrifice, and difficult choices.
And can we talk about Shakti for a second...? Because she was easily one of my favorite characters. Strong, fearless, compassionate... but never written as perfect. She felt real. The quote, "This story of the battle of Earth is not Taraak's story, neither is Rudra's, it is yours. It's Shakti's story," genuinely gave me chills.
The world-building and the visualization is amazing. The Asurax, the mysteries surrounding Amrita, the ancient civilizations, the alien invasion... everything felt so vivid that I could literally picture it in my head. It honestly felt less like reading a book and more like watching a huge mythological sci-fi movie unfold scene by scene.
I mean... I even found myself thinking about the story when I wasn't reading. That's always a sign of a good book, right?

The idea of a burning spacecraft crashing into the Himalayas 12,000 years ago was already enough to pull me in, but the way the author connects cosmic mysteries, Amrita, Shiva-Shakti energy, and alien invasions made the story even more addictive. I really loved how the book mixes spiritual depth with action and world-building. The Himalayas, Shambala, Nandi, Rudrasen warriors , everything creates such vivid imagery while reading.

If you've only seen the cover of this book, you'll probably think it's about Lord Shiva or a mythology-based story. That's exactly what I thought too.
But the moment I started reading, I realized this book is something completely different.
You've got ancient kingdoms, warrior yogis, legends, and at the same time alien creatures, cosmic mysteries, and futuristic elements. It sounds like a lot, but surprisingly, it never feels confusing.
What I liked most was how easy the writing is. With a concept this huge, the author could have made it complicated, but instead everything unfolds very naturally. You don't feel like you're studying a new universe. You feel like you're slowly discovering it.
There was also many moments involving Princess Shakti that really caught my attention. It reminded me that beneath all the action and larger-than-life events, there are also themes of identity, expectations, and proving yourself.
I'm usually not someone who picks up mythology-heavy books, but this one kept me interested because it feels fresh. It doesn't get stuck in long explanations. The story keeps moving, and every few chapters something new makes you curious about what happens next.
The best way I can describe this book is that it sits somewhere between mythology, fantasy, and science fiction without fully belonging to any one of them. I can say this is one of the most unique concepts I've come across in a while & the way the names are chosen is such a smart work.

This is a genre blending book with multiple layers and proportions. Author has created an immersive world that will grip you and keep you hooked until the end. As the title is depicting battle for earth and the mythological figure is standing in the midst of war and spaceships are crashing in the himalayas. Author has said a very thoughtful thing about God Shiva’s residing place Himalayas.
Once I started reading this book I felt so invested in the world building. Shiva and Shakti are two halves of each other. Without each other, they can’t fight with the evil but it is more than the battle. Monstrous force has arrived on earth and humanity is vanishing, turning human beings into ashes. Truth is deeper than one could think about and secrets come along with curse, alliance, secret potent, impossible choices, and battle. The fate of the world depends on the choices to be made now. Either their union can save the earth or destroy everything.
The questions like will shakti find her equivalent other? Will Asurax destroy the humanity? Will Shiva and Shakti stop the evil forces and save everyone from the unforeseen future? kept me going. So read this book if you like genre blending books with alliance of two people and proportions leading to the fate of the world.

This is a genre blending book with multiple layers and proportions. Author has created an immersive world that will grip you and keep you hooked until the end. As the title is depicting battle for earth and the mythological figure is standing in the midst of war and spaceships are crashing in the himalayas. Author has said a very thoughtful thing about God Shiva’s residing place Himalayas.
Once I started reading this book I felt so invested in the world building. Shiva and Shakti are two halves of each other. Without each other, they can’t fight with the evil but it is more than the battle. Monstrous force has arrived on earth and humanity is vanishing, turning human beings into ashes. Truth is deeper than one could think about and secrets come along with curse, alliance, secret potent, impossible choices, and battle. The fate of the world depends on the choices to be made now. Either their union can save the earth or destroy everything.
The questions like will shakti find her equivalent other? Will Asurax destroy the humanity? Will Shiva and Shakti stop the evil forces and save everyone from the unforeseen future? kept me going. So read this book if you like genre blending books with alliance of two people and proportions leading to the fate of the world.

1. Book Review
i was really looking forward to reading this book because the idea of mixing ancient indian mythology with sci fi felt very different and interesting. after finishing it, i can say it is one of those stories that just keeps running in your mind even after you stop reading. i was actually reading it slowly but still the inside story feels very fast paced, like everything is always moving and changing.
the opening part itself is very strong, a burning spacecraft crashing in the Himalayas and then things just keep building from there. rudra as a character felt very heavy emotionally, like he is not just a warrior but someone carrying a lot of pain from his past. that part where he talks about aparna felt very human and simple, not like a typical strong hero type.
as the story goes on, shakti, kingdoms, alien king taraak, and all these layers start coming together. sometimes it feels like too much is happening at once, but still it does not make me lose interest. i kept thinking what will happen next, especially the connection between rudra and shakti and how everything is tied to saving earth.
i also liked how old indian world things like sages, himalayas, kingdoms are mixed with alien ships and advanced tech. it gives a very strange but interesting feeling while reading, like two different worlds are colliding.
the idea of choosing between shakti and earth stays in mind after finishing. overall it feels like a big imagination journey, not simple at all. i am glad i read it and it stayed with me even after finishing.

I am still recovering from this absolute rollercoaster! If you love mythology but want something completely fresh, you need this on your radar!
I’ve always loved Indian mythology books, but this one completely blew me away!it is a mix of ancient Indian mythology with cosmic sci-fi. The story goes all the way back to 10,000 BC when Earth is facing a massive threat from a ruthless alien race called the Asurax (aka Asuras from our scripts) led by their king Taraak. The legendary warrior-yogi Rudra and the fierce... four-armed princess Shakti must defend the mighty Sindhu Samrajya against these ruthless and powerful aliens.
I literally lost sleep over this book. I was reading it late into the night and even sneaking pages during my office hours because the pacing is that intense. You just cannot put it down!!
Reimagining the Asuras as an advanced alien race is such a cool concept, and the worldbuilding is brilliant👌 experiencing the mighty Sharaba in action was so fascinating!
But honestly, my favorite part of the entire book has to be Shakti. The female lead is written so beautifully. She isn’t just a side character!! She and Rudra stand as absolute equals in every single way, which was so refreshing to read.
Oh bdw, this book includes a map🤩 Getting a beautiful map at the beginning of a book is always the ultimate way to win my heart.
It was a brilliant, fast-paced read. If you want a book that completely sucks you in and makes you lose your sleep definitely pick this one up!!

I picked up Rudraman: The Battle for Earth expecting a mythology-inspired story, but it ended up being much more than that. The way Vishwas Mudagal blends Indian mythology with science fiction felt refreshing and unlike anything I've read before. Starting the story in 10,000 BC with a mysterious spacecraft crash immediately grabbed my attention, and from there the plot only got more intriguing.
One of the first lines that gave me chills was, "He knew from that very moment that the battle for Earth had begun." It perfectly sets the tone for the epic journey that follows.
I really enjoyed the author's imaginative take on Lord Rudra to potray the character just like Lord Shiva and the concept of Amrita as a powerful cosmic force. The action, ancient mysteries, and futuristic elements came together surprisingly well, and I never felt the story lost its pace. Shakti was the character I found myself rooting for, especially because of her courage and determination and ancient curse she is carrying.
My favourite quote from the book was, "The worst is over Shakti. You're the light, you are the protector... always remember that. No matter how difficult it gets." It wasn't just a beautiful moment in the story, but also a line that stayed with me after I finished reading.
