Julianna & Cameron = chef’s kiss couple goals. This brother’s best-friend-to-lovers romance hits so good, especially with the role-reversal vibes: he’s the one battling insecurity while she’s steady, confident, and quietly in his corner. Julianna is rich, yes, but she’s never flashy or entitled—she keeps it real with Cameron. And Cameron? Total “wrong side of the tracks” hero who can’t wrap his head around deserving the life he’s built. What he doesn’t know is that Julianna helped make his dream possible as an anonymous investor in the resort project. When they reunite at a friend’s wedding, the spark is instant—years apart and the chemistry is still there.
But whew—once Cameron learns Julianna was the investor? The relationship gets put through the wringer. His pride and “I have to earn this” mindset kicks in hard, and watching him struggle with her being the breadwinner is equal parts heartbreaking and relatable. Meanwhile, all Julianna ever wanted wasn’t money or grand gestures—just to be loved, chosen, and respected. Give her the playful banter, the swoony moments, and a partner who meets her where she is. Their dynamic is flirty, tender, and so addictive.
Cameron & Juli are both sweethearts and I loved their story.
The setting was perfection for this story. I want to go to a resort exactly like this and get a bushwacker! Juli is a great FMC. She is independent, wealthy but not snobby and is a graphic designer who makes book covers. I want to be her when I grow up! 🤣. She has always had a crush on Cameron. They had one time together before she went off to college. It’s been a decade and she is about to see him again. They didn’t keep in touch but also didn’t end on bad terms. Cameron is her brothers best friend and part owner of the resort. When he sees Juli again the chemistry is still there. As they spend time together the chemistry grows along with getting to know the grown-up versions of each other. The time at the resort is so sweet. I loved every minute of it. Especially since they didn’t hide anything from anyone. They just enjoyed being with each other.
This book has sweet moments, light spice, brother’s best friend, and a HEA.
Just one look. After years of not seeing each other this pair inadvertently run into each other. She is at the five star resort for a friend’s wedding. He is there because that’s where his job is. The two have known each other since they were kids but no contact for more than a decade. They will only have to avoid the other for a week. They won’t have to share stories, break bread, or learn anything personal to do that. The characters are interesting with some unique quirks. This is a Hallmark series length with a dash of Lifetime movie influence. There are some gaps in the storyline but perhaps that means this stand alone may grow up to be a series someday.
Beautiful Romance. Juli and Cameron is Juli’s brother’s best friend and is part owner in a beautiful resort. Juli has had a crush on Cameron since they were young. They have a tight bit of history, before she left for college they had a one time thing. By chance Juli’s is attending a friends wedding at the resort Cameron and her brother are partners in. She was hoping she won’t run into him, but fate wasn’t on her side. Their encounter on her first day, just proved the chemistry is still there. I found it refreshing that they didn’t hide their relationship from anyway. This has some light spice and a beautiful HEA.
I received an ARC copy of this and I am so glad. I absolutely loved Juli and Cameron. Their history was so cute and hilarious. I definitely want to read Everly and Jackson's book next, but I think Preston needs a book now also! Turn that workaholic into a cinnamon roll! The story got an instant 5 stars for making me cry haha. If you want a nice happy read (that also will make you cry once or twice) that you can breeze through in a day or two, this is a great choice!
BORING ALERT! okay so I dnf’d the book at 65% ‘cause I couldn’t no more. Firstly, they for sure don’t end up together, like THEY HATE EACH OTHER 100% they are only there for the sex. Tbh I didn’t like any of the characters, not the people from the weding, not the brother, not anyone who worked at the resort and obviously not the main characters. I don’t even know how I have lasted that much without wanting to throw my kindle out of the window
A sweet romance where Juli and Cameron are reunited when she attends a wedding at the resort he owns with her brother. They had a brief night together back before she went to college and the chemistry still simmers.
The way these two spent time getting to know each other banter all those years was cute.
What a fun start to a new series! Loved the upscale beach vibe! Perfect read to help wish for summer! Sand In My Boots was the latest book from Taylor Delong. It was sweet, sexy, and full of steam!
Juliana was ready for a wonderful time while attending her friend’s wedding. But she also wanted to try to avoid Cameron, her brother’s best friend. They once shared a night but hadn’t seen each other since then. Unluckily for her, he was one of the first people she saw when she arrived. Would old feelings come back or had too much time passed?
This was definitely a fun read! Loved seeing them come together after so many years! They had so many cute moments and had me smiling the whole time. I’m glad he came to his senses after everything!
Juliana Langley ends up at her brother's resort for her friend's wedding. She ends up spending a lot of time with his business partner and best friend Cameron Fairbanks. They have history, and spending time together has only set fire to those feelings they've kept under wraps. Juli may be wealthy, but she's down to earth and doesn't use that wealth as a weapon. She's a graphic designer whose focus is designing book covers for authors. The more time they spend together, the deeper they fall. This was a feel good romcom, that was low on angst and high on good times and happily ever after. It was a great story between two adults who knew how to communicate and make decisions together.
I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
