Layman, a former Boston Herald sportswriter, writes with authority and heart. This book is so unbelievably written. The delicate matters discussed are so raw and emotional, I truly believed it to be a work of nonfiction or memoir - I'm so impressed! Though I'm not educated on the ins-and-outs of golfing, this book was easily digestible without being repetitive or redundant when it came to the sport itself. The character development was incredible for such a short story and I will definitely be passing it on to my friends and family. Five star for sure!

This is the authors first book. If you are a fan of golf or a fan of life. You need to read this. This is the story, told through the eyes of a golfer, about overcoming adversity and hardship to find new direction and meaning to life. I think this new author hit a hole in one with his first book. In the interest or transparency; Tom, the author is my nephew however my review is from the heart.
