About the author

TK Fletcher is a Louisiana-based indie author who writes Black romance and romantic suspense. Her love for storytelling began in high school during the Wattpad days, where writing became a creative outlet long before she considered becoming a published author.

After losing her mother in 2025, TK decided it was time to stop keeping her stories to herself and share them with the world. She made her author debut in April 2026 with Worth the Risk.

TK writes about Black love in all its forms. Her stories are filled with complicated relationships, family, humor, real-life conversations, a little drama, and plenty of spice. Her characters aren’t perfect. They make mistakes, grow, fall in love, and figure life out along the way.

Outside of writing, TK holds multiple degrees and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I feel indifferent. Writing was solid It was cute forbidden love sports romance but it’s basically the same storyline we see over and over. Owners daughter or someone who works in the office dating a bad boy perceived or actual bad boy player. Eventually falling for each other he straightens up they win a championship they get married and have kids 🤷‍♀️

Worth the Risk was such an enjoyable read. I really liked the dynamic between Marcus and Elena—he’s messy and unpredictable, while she’s strong and grounded, which made their interactions feel balanced and real.

The chemistry is definitely there, but what stood out more to me was the character growth and how their relationship developed over time. I do wish a few moments had a bit more emotional depth, but overall it kept me invested.

A solid, character-driven sports romance that’s easy to get into.

Definitely worth it

I absolutely love a good sports romance and this didn’t disappoint. I love that it was baseball too. This is a new to me author and I’m so glad I found her can’t wait to read her other books.

I want to say this was my first sports romance and I was pleased! Will be reading book 2.

Quick novella, started off a little slow but moved along fairly quickly. Around about chapter 19, an entire chapter repeated itself. Word for word, sentence for sentence, cadence, structure and all...so much so that I became skeptical the author actually wrote this work....I finished but not interested in reading anything else from the author.

Cute

Okay, so I definitely enjoyed the storyline. I will say it what's a little bit sports heavy for me. But it was a sports romance, i just normally prefer less about the sports part. But it was still well-balanced. With the push and pull of will, they won't they, honestly, elena kep aggravating me with the repetition of We shouldn't we really shouldn't.Oh, we shouldn't, baby, when he got into them, guts, there was no going back and we knew it. All in all, I really enjoyed their love story.

This is the second book I’ve read from the author and now I’m just hooked (you’re stuck with me now girl). I really enjoyed this book simply because sometimes you do have to take the risk.

DNF very very early purely because the book kept referencing “coach” when baseball has managers…also some other minor things that give it vague sportsball and not baseball

This was a really cute Sports Romance. I enjoyed the chemistry between Elena and Marcus and was rooting for them as the story moved along. This is the third book I've read and enjoyed by TK, and I'm officially hooked. LOL.

This is definitely worth adding to your TBR.
