The One Who Saw Her gave me everything I wanted: a quirky town full of unforgettable residents, a grumpy ranch owner, a heroine finding her way back to herself, and enough humor, heart, and swoon to keep me smiling the entire time.
I absolutely adored Vivi’s personal journey and loved watching her finally start choosing herself instead of living for everyone else’s expectations. Boone brought all the grumpy ranch hero energy, Rea stole every scene she appeared in, and the Callahan family already has me desperate for the next book.

The One Who Saw Her: Boone by Marina Adair was a thoroughly enjoyable romance filled with tension, humor, and heart. The story follows Vivi, who escapes to Montana for a month-long retreat after realizing that in her previous relationship, she had lost sight of herself by constantly trying to please everyone else. I appreciated that this emotional conflict gave her character depth from the start and made her journey feel meaningful beyond the romance.
When Vivi arrives at the ranch and discovers that the home she rented is not actually hers to enjoy alone, her plans are immediately upended. Boone, the ranch owner and manager, is already dealing with both emotional and financial strain, so Vivi’s unexpected presence creates even more upheaval in his life. Their forced proximity sets the stage for a relationship that begins with frustration and resistance, but gradually develops into something much deeper. Watching that progression unfold was one of the most satisfying parts of the novel.
Vivi’s personal growth was an integral part of the story. She was a very relatable character because of how often she put her own needs aside for others. Seeing her begin to value herself, build confidence, and step into a stronger sense of independence made her especially appealing. Boone, on the other hand, brought a great deal of charm to the story through his gruff personality. His grumpiness added humor and balance, and I found myself smiling often at his reactions.
One quote that particularly resonated with me was Rea’s advice to Vivi: “Life isn't a charity auction. You don't give yourself away for someone else's happiness unless they're putting you in the VIP box with champagne and a proper inheritance. Otherwise? You eat your biscuits, you drink your coffee, and you live your life where you're wanted—not where you're merely tolerated.” That line felt like a perfect reflection of the novel’s emotional core and Vivi’s journey toward self-worth.
This was an entertaining and heartfelt read that kept me invested in both the romance and the characters’ personal development. I especially enjoyed Vivi’s growth, and I found the relationship between her and Boone both engaging and heartwarming to watch unfold.

Her long term boyfriend suddenly tells her he is moving to Singapore, selling their apartment and expects her to give up her career and follow him. She has to come to grips with the fact that she has made a habit of fitting herself into others lives rather than doing what she really wants both in her job and her personal life. She decides to rent a bed and breakfast and take some time to figure out her next steps.
Boone is a former rodeo champion who is currently running the ranch that has been in his family for several generations. He stepped in to take it over when his parents were killed in a car crash.

Who knew I had a thing for cowboys? Guess what...I do. This one has us with one grumpy, small town cowboy and a day of shine city slicker woman. The perfect recipe for a solid 4 star book!
Vivi's boyfriend has decided to move to Singapore and just expects her to follow. She decides to take an actual vacation and books an Air B&B in a small town. Everything is fine until she discovers a man is already in the home!
Boone is shocked to find a woman in his home and even more shocked when he finds out it's because his ex-girlfriend put the home up for rent when they were supposed to be gone...but things happen and plans change and well...now Boone has a house guest.
Boone is also struggling to save his family's legacy with the ranch that is bleeding money. Vivi eventually offers some help, slowly finding herself and falling in love with the town. Everyone around them can see sparks between Vivi and Boone, but will they let them fly?

When Marina Adair offered me an ARC of The One Who Saw Her: Boone, I knew I wanted to take my time with this review. I had read one of her books before, and after how kind she was, I really wanted to do this story justice. I'm happy to say that this wasn't just a good book—it was a great one.
At its heart, this is a grumpy sunshine romance wrapped in a beautiful journey of self-discovery. Vivi Witmore has spent years helping other people find love while quietly sacrificing pieces of herself in the process. When her boyfriend announces a life-changing move and assumes she'll simply follow along without any real discussion, Vivi is forced to confront something many of us have experienced: realizing your voice matters and that communication is the foundation of any healthy relationship.
I connected with Vivi more than I expected. She's bubbly, talkative, passionate, and determined. Once she sets her mind on something, she goes for it. Watching her leave behind what was comfortable and start figuring out who she is outside of everyone else's expectations was one of my favorite parts of the story. Boone, the grumpy ex-rodeo champion, was the perfect contrast to her energy, and their chemistry developed naturally as they were forced into each other's orbit on the rundown ranch.
What I loved most was the soul-searching aspect of the story. Yes, there's romance. Yes, there's some drama. But the real magic comes from watching Vivi learn to stand on her own and choose herself for once. The small-town setting, quirky locals, and ranch life added plenty of charm along the way.
My only small complaint is that I wanted a little more payoff regarding Vivi's boss. We hear so much about how much she grows and learns to stand up for herself that I would have loved to see an actual scene where she fully puts him in his place. That moment felt like it was missing for me.
Overall, this was a heartfelt, uplifting romance about finding your voice, learning to communicate, and discovering what truly makes you happy. I absolutely fell for Vivi, enjoyed Boone's gruff exterior hiding a good heart, and now I can't wait to continue the series because I definitely need more of those Callahan boys.

When one of my all time favorite romance authors writes a super fun cowboy romance, I get VERY excited. Cowboy romances are my jam! The fact that I got to read this early makes me so incredibly grateful! Marina Adair is the queen of humor and heart.
Vivi Whitmore is at a bit of a cross roads in life. She’s trying to figure out what she wants and what she needs. She ends up renting a ranch for a month. The thing is the owner doesn’t have a clue. His ex-girlfriend set it up. He does need the money though so maybe he’ll let her stay.
I love a good fish out of water story!!! This book had it all. I laughed, and I felt emotion deep and raw from these characters. It’s exactly what has me loving this author so much. Boone’s family was amazing! I loved the grandma! lol Loved the banter and the character growth. The author did a great job of building the backstories for Vivi and Boone so we can see all of their wounds and what’s keeping them from moving forward. This story was well written and beautifully crafted. I cannot wait for the next book! I received this ARC from the author. All opinions are my own.

This is such a fun read…you will laugh, swoon and fall in love with these amazing characters.
Vivi is so funny, out of her element but is determined to make it work. She just wants to be seen and valued. This book was amazing! I loved the self-awareness journey Vivi went on and all the support she seemed to get from unlikely places. I do have to wonder how bad Boone's ex messed up that he was that closed off from relationships and love, and if she was cheating on him to have moved on and be married that quickly. The family dynamic between the brothers and their grandma was hilarious, and I can't wait to see what kind of advice she has for them in their books. Or how Boone may now side with her now that he's found happiness.

I absolutely devoured Boone and Vivi's story! A grumpy cowboy in a small town romance? Sign me up.
Vivi is at a crossroads in life and decides to rent a ranch for a month while she figures out her next steps. What she doesn't realize is that the ranch owner has no idea she's coming. Boone is gruff, stubborn, and not exactly thrilled about having a stranger on his property.
The banter in this book was fantastic and had me laughing throughout. The chemistry between Vivi and Boone sparks almost immediately, and their constant push and pull made their relationship so entertaining to follow. I especially loved Vivi's character growth. Watching her learn to put herself first and stop living for everyone else's expectations made her incredibly relatable.
Boone and Vivi are complete opposites, but they're exactly what each other needs. Their journey of helping one another heal, grow, and move forward in life was both heartwarming and satisfying to read.

I love Marina's books, and this is another great read!
Vivi and Boone were perfect together with great banter and chemistry. He's a small-town cowboy and she's just trying to get away and figure out what's next after a break up. While they don't seem compatible at first their mutual attraction morphs into a deeper connection the longer they spend time together.
This was a perfect mix of romance, humor, and emotional moments with no shortage of small town charm. I was hooked from the moment I started reading and I didn't want to put it down.

In the unfolding of the character of the main heroine of the story, Vivi, I found many common elements with me. On the other hand, Boone is a man that many women would like to have by their side.
The dialogues exude a warmth and euphoria that make the reader enter the atmosphere of the story and feel part of it.
The author's writing is warm, captivating, enjoyable, fast, intense, emotional and humorous.
So, if you want to have a good time and be struck by the arrows of love, then read it!

Love love love!
What's not to love about a small town romance, a quaint town, a well meaning grandmother, city slicker and a grumpy cowboy?? What I alsways enjoy about Marina's books is the ability to make you laugh and swoon! Rea stole every scene she was in and made me laugh every time. The Callahan brothers are as hot as they can be and I look forward to their stories too. Vivi and Boone had so much chemistry and I loved their story of healing discovery. This is a great book! Enjoy!

I really wanted to like this book BUT ... it felt very scattered. In one chapter, Vivi is trying to be all independent and doesn't know what she'll do, and in the next, she is obviously going to stay without having any discussion as to why. I felt like there were just chunks of this book that I was missing, which was strange. I will also say that some of their issues were just stupid because it was a boundary that Boone had set and she just barreled through, which she would then be upset because Vivi felt he was asking her to be less (however, I just think he wanted her to listen).

What a great book!! Vivi and Boone are perfect for each other!! I loved how Vivi found herself and quit living for another person and started living for herself. Loved how in the end Boone opened himself up for someone else and was no longer living in loneliness.

I wanted to love it. But it was too much too fast and very predictable. I struggled. Concept was cute but very similar to another books plot. Overall I couldn’t finish it and I’m not one to quit a book.
