Diesel’s Desire is the 2nd book in the Wicked Sinners series, A Second Chance Dark MC Romance by Arden Hart & Selena Winters. DIESEL'S DESIRE is the second book in the Wicked Sinners MC series; you can read it on its own, since Havoc and Sasha (the first book) are included, but they will not cause any confusion.

Penny and Diesel were a couple as teenagers and loved each other very much. Diesel joined the MC, and Penny then went off to pursue a career in law enforcement. At present, Diesel is Vice President of the MC, and Penny is a police officer... Could they possibly get back together?

I liked the story because it felt realistic; the difficulties they go through are real, and their reactions to them feel genuine. I also liked the fact that both sides told Penny and Diesel what would happen if things went wrong. Finally, I was happy that Penny's enthusiasm for catching criminals never ceased once she had started dating Evan.

I am not normally seen as a violent person, but never have I been more pleased with an article about someone being beaten at that moment. So, I want to stress again that 'triggers' (or content warnings) are meant to help people with possible triggers, not to present challenges.

I would definitely recommend it as an excellent continuation of the first book, and it is by no means a "sophomore slump" novel.

DIESEL'S DESIRE is the second book in the Wicked Sinners MC series, although you can read it as a standalone if you wish. Havoc and Sasha (book 1) do make an appearance here, but there's nothing to get confused over.

As for Diesel and Penny, they were together as teenagers and desperately in love. Diesel joined the MC, and Penny moved away to begin her career in law enforcement. He is now the VP, and she's a cop... There's no way they can be together, right?

I enjoyed their story as the obstacles they face are real, and so is how they behave. I loved that both sides made their opinions known to Penny and Diesel about how this could go down. I also love that Penny's love for catching the bad guy didn't just end when she got with Evan.

I like to think I'm not a violent person, but I have never been so happy to read about a beating before! For this reason, I will remind you that trigger warnings are there to help you, not to be seen as a challenge!

A great addition to the series, and certainly no second-book slump. Definitely recommended by me.

Sometimes following the law isn’t always black and white which is something that Diesel and Penny are dealing with. They were high school sweethearts and looking to get married until Diesel became involved with Wicked Sinners MC and Penny knew she couldn’t live that life so she left and became a cop. Now seventeen years later she is back and the feelings they both had is still strong. When a little girl is failed by the law maybe its time for Penny to see that there is a gray area which has to be met sometimes by people just like Diesel.

This was an awesome second chance romance and it was great seeing Diesel and Penny get their HEA. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

They walked away from each other as teenagers and have come back 17 years later, as adults with the same feelings they had all those years ago. A second chance, MC/LEO romance where lines are blurred, and crossed. I loved this book, second chance romance books will always be one of my favorites.

Diesel’s Desire by Arden Hart and Selena Winters is a dark, spicy second-chance MC romance about Penny, a police officer, and Diesel, the outlaw biker she walked away from seventeen years ago.

Which already tells you these two are making excellent life choices. Naturally.

Penny built a career around the law. Diesel became vice president of the Wicked Sinners MC, a man surrounded by guns, criminal activity, leather, tattoos, and enough questionable decisions to keep a courthouse busy for years. When their paths collide again, all that old attraction comes roaring back with absolutely no respect for careers, ethics, common sense, or personal space.

And Diesel? This man has not moved on. Emotionally, he has been parked in 2009 with the engine running.

What made this work for me was the history between them. Their chemistry doesn’t feel random because they already loved each other once. There’s resentment, longing, jealousy, old heartbreak, sharp banter, and that delicious second-chance tension where both people know exactly how badly the other can wreck them.

Penny is strong, competent, stubborn, and not easily swallowed by Diesel’s personality. She knows loving him comes with very real consequences. That cop-versus-outlaw conflict gives the romance actual tension instead of everyone simply pretending his criminal life is decorative.

The spice? Five alarms. Diesel is dominant, possessive, filthy-mouthed, territorial, and very enthusiastic about reclaiming his woman. These two make reckless decisions with breathtaking confidence. I spent several scenes mentally yelling, “You are grown adults,” while continuing to read like I had somewhere important to be.

The book is fast-paced, addictive, and emotional, though some internal thoughts get repetitive and the moral conflict resolves a little more conveniently than I wanted. This book had exactly the kind of morally gray energy I was hoping for.

From the beginning, the attraction is immediate, dangerous, and very aware of itself.

“Everything about him is a felony waiting to happen.”

That line pretty much sets the tone. There is danger, obsession, questionable decisions, and the constant feeling that these two are standing on opposite sides of a line that is getting blurrier by the minute.

What I really enjoyed, though, was that the story wasn’t just about attraction to someone dangerous. A big part of the book is about what happens when your entire understanding of right and wrong starts to shift.

“I used to think the law was black and white. Right and wrong, clean lines, no room for anything in between.”

That conflict gave the romance more depth for me. It isn’t simply about throwing morality out the window because someone is hot and dangerous. It’s about realizing that rules, justice, and doing the right thing do not always fit neatly together.

And by the end, I loved where that journey led.

“I’m not asking you to change who you are. I’m asking if you’ll help me be who I want to be.”

That was probably my favorite line because it captures their relationship so well. Neither one is asking the other to suddenly become someone completely different. Instead, they have to decide whether they can accept each other as they are and still choose to build something together.

There is plenty of danger, chemistry, moral grayness, and spice, but the relationship was what kept me invested. I especially liked that the story allowed the characters to change without making that change feel like one person had to surrender who they were for the other.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable dark romance. Dangerous attraction, complicated morality, and two people figuring out that sometimes the world is a lot grayer than they were taught to believe.

MY HEART. I don’t want to spoil the “why”, but Diesel makes it very clear from the get-go that it’s always been Penny for him. Not once has he entertained anything of substance and the reminder he keeps of her on his person at all times will have you rooting for him like nobody’s business! The yearning for 17 years that goes both ways?! I ate it up just like Diesel likes to eat Penny 👀 (I couldn’t help myself…the man was starving after 17 years, just as he should be!). And the way these two end up working together? It will break your heart, but the vigilante justice will help stitch you back together. Diesel is morally grey in the best of ways, with a soft spot for Penny, and only her, that will make your heart melt!

Diesel asked Penny to marry him 17 years ago when they were both in high school. By that time Diesel was a prospect in a motorcycle club who were very active in illegal activities. Penny was scared of that life, told him no and drove away. She became a cop. Now she is a cop back in her home town. And she knows the MC is moving illegal guns but can't prove anything.

Then Diesel decides he should have fought harder for Penny all those years ago and pushes himself back into her life. At the same time Penny finds a pattern of child abductions and returns which might be linked to the 7 year old who has been missing for 6 days. But her Chief tells her to stay away from the rich man who owns half of the town, even though his name has become part of the pattern.

Selena Winters writes with feeling. You don't just read the story, you feel it and live it. The characters are great and often do unexpected things foreign to what you think you know about them. I never pass up a Selena Winters book. Grab this one today. Arden Hart is a new author to me, but she is the co-author of this book and as such I must also give her high praise for the end result. A good partnership for this series.

This is Diesel’s (Evan) and Penny’s story. They were each other’s first love when they were both seventeen. Evan started hanging around the MC and chose the life and all it had to offer. Penny, afraid of that world, turned down Evan’s marriage proposal and left town to pursue a career in law enforcement. This was such a wonderful second chance romance! I really loved Penny and Diesel’s story.
Penny is a cop and Diesel is a member of the Wicked Sinners MC. These two were high school sweethearts, but life took them in different directions. Now that they have found their way back to each other, Diesel is NOT about to let her go again!
I really loved watching these two come back together and seeing all those old feelings come rushing back. Diesel was determined this time around and I loved that about him.
But one of my favorite parts was watching Penny realize that not everything is as black and white as she had always believed. Seeing her start to understand Diesel, the MC and the people around him made her character growth so good.
There was plenty of romance, some danger, great MC family vibes and of course that second chance at love!.

Gotta love a red flag man who is down bad for his girl. Diesel (aka Evan) fell in love and wanted to marry his girl when they were 18. Instead, Penny packed up her car and ran from the MC life to become a cop.

It's now 17 days later and Penny is back in town. Diesel has been looking for love in every blonde he can bed - but of course, realizes this as soon as he sees Penny again. They are drawn together like magnets - opposites who cannot help but cling to each other in some very spicy ways. Let me be clear: this book is explicit, and not just with the main couple. If that's not your jam, this is not your book.

I enjoyed the way these two characters came back together and the push-pull of being on opposite sides of the law while being desperate for each other. The ending was gratifying. Will definitely continue with the series.

Loved this second chance love story with mystery/missing girl plot, biker and cop forbidden love, action, suspense, swoony MMC who never stopped loving her, headstrong police officer FMC who wants justice along with the love of her life.

Really loved the fact that Diesel and Penny both just picked up where they left off - they didn't fight about it, didn't hold grudges - they just knew they were both still the one for each other. Still had to deal with the criminal biker vs cop/who's side of the law is right or wrong issues to deal with - but they worked together to figure it out.

And, of course, you have cameos of Havoc and Sasha, more glimpses of Ace & Ryder (the next installment) and tidbits of other Wicked Sinners. Selena and Arden keep me intrigued and anxiously waiting the next book every time.

Diesel's Desire is a dark motorcycle club second chance romance where the Diesel is in the Wicked Sinner's MC and Penny is a cop. Once reunited after 17 years they find the connection and the chemistry between them is still there and they are unable to stay away from each other despite needing to.

The relationship isn't the only thing to move quickly in this story. The story and the changes to morals also progress quickly. Sometimes doing something that is considered wrong is what is needed to get results.

As this is a dark romance and covers some dark themes, check the warnings if needed.

Diesel is intense and unapologetically devoted even though his and Penny's reunion isn’t soft or easy; it’s sharp, messy, and charged with all the things they never said. With Penny returning to the plot as a badge-wearing force, digging into secrets connected to his club, the tension between them is constant and compelling. A few pacing moments felt slightly stretched, but overall this is a solid, “I’d burn the world down for you” addition to the Wicked Sinners MC world.

So excited for Diesel and Penny's story. I needed them to have a HEA! But because he is the VP of the MC and involved in unlawful activity at times and she is a police officer, how can they be together? She left 17 years ago because she didn't agree with him joining the MC. She comes back and he has only ever loved her and has missed her so much. She still loves him but she just doesn't know if she can turn a blind eye to what he does. Then when the law fails a little six year old girl and Penny needs to help her, she turns to Diesel. She finally sees that not everything is as it seems.

I immediately got sucked into the story! This is second in the series and technically you can read as a standalone as I did. I love MC romances we follow FMC Penny who is a cop and MC biker gang member Evan Cole aka Diesel. We have dual POV and Penny and Diesel have a history back 17 years ago they were together but Penny left. I loved the characters and the chemistry between Diesel and Penny and it’s deep and spicy. I loved this from beginning to end. I can’t wait to continue with the series!

This is the second book of the Wicked Sinners MC- series. I enjoyed this book. It is a very touching second chance romance, at first it made me feel bad for the years lost for the characters but I got over it pretty quick. I read this in a few days, the story held my interest all the way.

The maincharacters are relatable and I liked them very much. They are described vividly and I can totally see them beeing reunited. The book has suspense that kept me turning pages. And the end is just perfect.

I recommend this book to dark romance/ romantic suspense readers. Plus it's good for all who enjoy MC romances.

I literally could not wait to read Diesel’s story and boy it didn’t disappoint!

The High School love he had for Penny never died and after seventeen years and being on different sides of the law, he has a chance to try again *sigh*

I loved how this story unfolded and how they proved they could work together to help solve a crime.
With really tense moments and spicy scenes, this read was addictive and the ending just made me cry happy tears. It was a wonderful read 😍

Sweet Ending

There’s not much communication. Whenever Evan and Penny are in the same room, they are having sex. Not much talking between them. I wish they had more heart to hearts. To explain what happened in the 17 years they were apart. But Diesel is still like able and Penny cannot resist him. There’s a subplot that is disturbing. But it’s necessary because it advances the resolution. The ending is very sweet and closes their chapter in a very satisfying way. I had wondered how the authors were going to give them their HEA. They do it in a very believable way.

I loved how this story unfolded and how they proved they could work together to help solve a crime.

With really tense moments and spicy scenes, this read was addictive and the ending just made me cry happy tears. It was a wonderful read 😍

A thrilling romantic suspense story that grabs your attention from page one and doesn't let up until the end. Kent and Winters deliver a winning combination featuring a strong FMC and a protective MMC. Lots of chemistry in this second change romance. Absolutely loved this book and it was over too soon. Looking forward to more in the Wicked Sinners MC series.

Arden and Selena have done it again! There is a reason I keep coming back for these books! They’re so bloody good!

Diesel’s Desire had me hooked, and the spice was spicing. The chemistry was so damn good, and I absolutely flew through this one. It had everything I want from a romance! Great chemistry, plenty of spice, and enough to keep me turning the pages.

Definitely a 5 star read from me! 🖤.

2.75 stars. I feel like I’ve read this story before… Didn’t really make sense after 17 years to reconnect when they were still on opposite sides of the law and that was the reason she left. Somewhat of a plausible resolution in the end, but they just seemed mostly driven by lust. And let’s be honest, 17 years and the H does nothing to get her back? That’s kind of lame.

Rooting for Diesel

Book 2 in the Wicked Sinners MC series is my favorite of the two so far. High School sweethearts meet again and sparks fly, but she's an officer of the law and he's the VP of an MC.
This book is hot and the main characters' chemistry amazing. You also visit with the rest of the MC family that you have met previously. I loved it.
