DiFranco's
Family. Hockey. Gaming. And in that order.
But Love?
Love's been benched indefinitely...

Dash

Pro hockey player, Dash DiFranco, is quickly skating toward the final buzzer of his career. But not before he hits the highlight—getting invited to play for the an all-American team representing the West.

To celebrate his last hoorah, he offers his online gaming fan base a chance to win tickets to the first hockey game in the series. And once that’s done, the door to playing professional hockey closes on him—for good. He’ll then need to rely on his live-stream gaming success to carry him through to retirement. At least, that’s the plan.

But the last thing Dash expects at the capstone of his career is to meet a girl who makes him want to chase more than just internet fame.

Ruby

Ruby Pinkerington’s dream of owning a boutique salon has finally come true. But after an unexpected family crisis where she becomes the main caregiver to her younger brother, her dream slows to a near halt.

When he wins tickets to a once-in-a-lifetime hockey game to meet his online gaming icon, Ruby’s happy for a small reprieve for them both. Until said icon waltzes into her salon and ASKS HER OUT days before the actual game.

Now things will be awkward. And Ruby doesn’t do awkward. Not willingly, anyway.

But the meet-and-greet at the game takes an unexpected turn, and Dash makes it his mission to bring Ruby out of her shell. Along the way, sparks ignite, stars align, and a unique connection offers them both a second chance at romance. Even if all they can ever have is two fun, flirty weeks in DC.

**So Gallantly Streaming is a part of the multi-author collaboration, Stars, Stripes, and Hockey a sweet hockey romcom series. If you love when the shy girl falls for the golden retriever guy in a whirlwind romance that has all the feels (but none of the spice), this book is for you.**

I love how this story features not only the glory and triumph of hockey players but also deals with what happens when their playing career may be coming to an end. They make the sport their whole lives, but it ends when they are still young; they have to find themselves a new focus.

Dash was adorable. He's nursing an injury which will ultimately end his career, but he still has one last hurrah. He's representing the West Coast in the All-American tournament between the East and West Coasts to celebrate America's 250th birthday. He's also an online gamer, livestreaming his plays and has built up a following, giving away tickets for the opening game to a lucky fan.

That lucky fan is Beckett, and he's accompanied by his older sister Ruby. The thing is, Dash and Ruby met a few days earlier when she gave him a haircut. Their meet-cute was incredibly sweet and awkward, and so is this second encounter, but Beck provides some comic relief.

I loved watching Ruby's confidence grow the closer she got to Dash. She started to come out of her shell and show him who she really was, the girl she thought was lost amongst being a caregiver to her mum, a temporary parent to Beck and a smart business owner. With Dash, she had fun and let herself go a little. Ruby helped Dash see a future beyond hockey, helped him find who he was and what he really wanted.

This was a fast-burning yet gentle romance between two people looking to find themselves rather than love, but finding both.

So Gallantly Streaming is book eight in the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series of sweet romance books. Dulcie Dameron did such a wonderful job of keeping my attention in this book that I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.

In this book, readers are introduced to Dashiell (Dash) DiFranco, NHL defenseman from Utah and online gamer. Dash is heading to DC to play in the All-American Hockey Tournament to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday. He is going into this game knowing that this will most likely be his last year in professional hockey and he needs to start making plans for his future. So, he starts by giving away tickets to game 1 on his gamer channel. Now readers meet Ruby Pinkerington, salon owner and big sister to Beckett, winner of the game 1 tickets. She has been working hard to make her business a success and keep her family running smoothly after her mother suffers some health issues. Ruby is a secret fan of Dash’s online gaming persona and knows about his hockey abilities. When Dash makes an unexpected appearance at her salon, a series of hilarious and embarrassing events begin for Ruby. Dash is looking for a “spark” in his life and may have unknowingly found it.

Then there are some great sidelines thrown in to keep you coming back to see what happens next. The neighbor is stopping by the help Ruby’s mom when no one else is home and suddenly lots of little side projects are being fixed, Beckett is tons of energy rolled into a small child’s body and you can’t decide if he is more excited about the hockey or online gaming, don’t forget about the shoulder, and the most important addition is the appearance of Dash’s mother and sisters. I love when Dash’s sisters put him on the spot and ask about his intentions towards Ruby, but even better when they advise him “If something between the two you goes sideways, we’re keeping her in the breakup.”

I loved this story and I highly recommend it. Grab a copy of yourself and make sure you have plenty of time to finish the book. Don’t worry, sleep is overrated. Enjoy!!

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book.

Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights continues with book 8 by Dulcie Dameron. So Gallanty Streaming continues the feel good romance each book before has provided. Each book is easy to read and can be read in any order. Read 1 or all, either way you are going to love the feel of each book. Duclie captures both our MCs and their journeys beautifully. Each MC is going through something on their own, yet they find solace in each other as the story continues.

Dash is nearing the end of his hockey career, but not before he plays in the tournament being put on to celebrate the nation’s birthday. The game he loves has left his body hurting and he knows it’s time to hang up the skates. He loves gaming and has a pretty big following online, which he hopes to fill the gap hockey will leave. Oh how life loves when we make our own plans. When he meets a shy hairstylist, he knows the sparks are real and that he wants to explore more, but only being in DC for 3 weeks makes that hard. Yet fate seems to be in his corner.

Ruby is very much an introvert and I adore her! Having to become a caretaker to her younger brother, she has put her dreams on hold, but still persists through all life has handed her. What wasn’t on her bingo card is meeting a handsome hockey player who is only in town for a few weeks. Except fate works in funny ways. She and Dash keep finding themselves in each other’s orbits and the sparks continue to grow and grow. As their time together draws to a close, she has to decide if chasing her own dreams at full force is what she wants.

These two were absolutely adorable together. They balance each other so well and truly brought the best out. Dash, while plans for himself have been made, he is now wondering if those are truly what he wants. Ruby is finally thinking about plans for herself and her future, outside of her family’s needs. These two were a total joy to read about and I loved watching them grow closer and closer. A fantastic read, written by a fantastic author.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

This is part of the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series that commemorates the 250th birthday of America. Each of these books can be read as a standalone, but they all include the hockey tournament that takes place in Washington, DC.

Dash, still nursing a broken heart, is looking for the "spark" with someone. He isn't actively dating or looking for anyone, so he's surprised when he feels an instant spark and connection with the stylist who cuts his hair in DC.

Ruby has been focused on her business and helping her family that she really hasn't dated in a while. When Dash walks into her salon, her awkwardness goes into hyper drive. She also feels the spark, but how can anything really happen or go anywhere when he is only in DC for 3 weeks.

This book had me laughing out loud several times. One of the best scenes is the awkward meet-cute between Ruby and Dash. And then when he comes back to her salon - poor Mr Turner! Haha! I also really enjoyed the connection between Dash and Ruby. I loved that while Dash is an extrovert and Ruby an introvert, they both had their awkward moments and comments because of their attraction to each other. I loved how Dash was so generous and helped Ruby get out of her comfort zone a little.

The family members are the best side characters. I adored the dynamic of the DiFranco sisters. And of course the moms are the best.

This is my first read by Dulcie Dameron, but I'm looking forward to reading more from her. And I'm excited it was mentioned at the end of the book that Max's story will be coming out next year. I'm hoping that Dash and Ruby will make an appearance in his story.

I received and advance copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"I want to keep him."

This “gallant” addition to the multi-author Stars, Stripes and Hockey Nights stars golden retriever type of hockey player and livestream gamer Dash DiFranco and workaholic, family-oriented salon-owner Ruby Pinkerington. Dash is just getting over a broken heart and is now faced with a career-ending injury but he has the wonderful opportunity of representing his team in the all-star hockey game between the East and the West being played in the nation’s capital. Ruby is just getting her life back to normal after it being thrown completely chaotic when her mother suffered a stroke and Ruby, of course, stepped in to care for her mother and take over the responsibilities of her younger brother Beckett while running her business too. But her mother is now better and life has started to get back to where Ruby can focus on just her business and maybe as her best friend suggests find some time for someone special in her life. And then one fateful day, into her hair salon walks the hockey player and gamer her little brother idolizes and Ruby secretly crushes over.
This sweet romance stood out to me in the ways that Dash befriended Beckett in a real way as he tried to get to know Ruby too. His genuine conversations and acts of kindness were endearing. The book centers more around relationships than hockey, although there is still plenty of ice time and discussion about what hockey is to Dash. It portrays how Dash and Ruby treat those around them, what their family and friends mean to them and slowly develops a sweet, honest love between them. It’s an easy on your emotions reading, with just a bit of approaching goodbye sadness, and lots of swoon-worthy romantic moments.

Dash knows that his hockey career will be ending in the next year. He has a shoulder injury that could even take him out before the next season ends. But when he’s called up to play in the Stars and Stripes tournament in Washington DC, he’s not going to turn it down.

Ruby built her own hair salon business from the ground up, partnering with her friend Alayna. Ruby is also an introvert. CAN RELATE. I am the most introverted of introverts, and peopling is always a challenge. And when her favorite hockey player and gamer with his own channel comes into her salon, she pretends she doesn’t know who he is. That doesn’t stop him from wanting to get to know her.

There is some self-sabotaging going on with Ruby. It’s like she can’t believe that a good thing has happened to her, and is already planning how things are going to end and how she’s going to handle it. Dash, however, is entrenching himself into her life, to the point where he’s thinking that he’s never going to let her go. He had a bad experience with a woman who kept him on the hook but rejected him at the same time, but even he sees that Ruby is nothing like that.

Girl, don’t write the ending when you’re not even halfway through the book!

I loved this story, even when I was frustrated with Ruby’s “what if” panics. The thing about “what if” is that it’s not what is. Will she figure that out? (She will, eventually.) But I understand why she feels the way she does.

Of course this couple finds their happy ending, and I may have (I totally did) shed a few happy tears. If you haven’t been reading this series from the start, that’s okay. Each book can stand alone, but works well in the series. Honestly, this series is so much fun, so you should a) get this book, and b) get the rest of the books!

I’ve found it quite fascinating of how creative some of the authors are with how they interpret their title’s meaning.  If I hadn’t read the blurb ahead of time, I would have never guessed what it meant!

Dash DiFranco has recently received the exciting news that he’s been hand selected to represent the country in the Stars and Stripes hockey tournament in honor of the 250th birthday of the US!  The invite does come with a warning that he needs to take it easy with his shoulder, regardless of what happens with the tournament in July, this will be his final season playing in Utah.  Awkward situation to be sure, but Dash plans to take everything in stride.  When he isn’t on the ice, his down time is split between Jersey, his cat, as well as being a gaming influencer, who often does live streaming of his game play.  This sparks the idea of doing a giveaway to a random follower to receive a pair of tickets to the first game of the tournament!  Despite his excitement he has for going to DC and sharing that news with his mom, he seems to still be lacking a special someone since his ex-girlfriend left him 9 months ago.

Ruby is owner, manager, and stylist extraordinaire of her boutique salon alongside her bestie.  The last year has been especially hard between trying to get her business running, taking care of her mom after a stroke, and being all the guardian-based things for her brother, Beckett.  She wouldn’t change doing all things, but it has left her “me tank” in a severe drought!  When Beck announces that he was chosen as the winner of the pair of tickets, she feels like their luck or his at the very least is starting to change.  And then a tall, dark and handsome man came in for a cut and trim.  Between the man’s and her awkwardness, coupled with later a note containing a phone number, maybe her luck is turning too.

Going to the game to see the man she gave a trim to was something she had never done before.  Their natural banter, loving hearts, and a chemistry like no other made this book beyond beautiful!  And if you have never read a Dulcie book before, this one is a standalone!  Also, the kisses she writes are fire!

I've been seeing Dulcie Dameron's books around Bookstagram. Since it's part of the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series, I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and read this one.

It was a fun and cute love story - a great choice for a summer romance!

Dash is a golden retriever. He seems like the guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. He's also generous and kind. When he falls for Ruby, he falls for her early and never looks back. While he struggles with his injury and his future, his side-gig gaming is where he meets Ruby, since her younger brother won his giveaway.

Ruby is a loving daughter, dutiful sister, and hardworking salon owner. Life has not been easy, but she pushed through. Was Ruby awkward and adorable? 100%! I liked watching her walls come down as she opened herself up to new things after life taught her to play it safe.

Their love story had its funny and swoony moments, but while it was fast, it didn't feel rushed or unrealistic. They had similarities which I think bonded them. Kisses only - just how I like it.

It's a bit of a celebrity romance that feels a little like a Cinderella story. When Ruby cried - so did I! The ending was satisfying and just exactly what I needed to end this cute story.

Some of my favorites were the shaving cream incident, accidental waterboarding, hiding behind the tree, the rescue from the drunk gym bro, and all of the supporting characters that were great additions to the storyline.

If you love hockey romance, then you'll definitely love this book. It's the perfect balance between the game, romance, and plot.

5/5!!! I laughed out loud, cried, smiled ridiculously while reading and found so much of their stories so incredibly relatable! Dash is so caring and thoughtful and aware of how Ruby is feeling. Her heel breaks and he carries her 😍😍😍 I love how innocent Ruby is and how honest they both are. Ruby & Alayna’s friendship is also so great!! I love the “D” names but with so many new characters I really appreciated the way the author kept it simple by acknowledging in their conversations that it was a lot to remember them all and to refer to them as “D” if she was wanting to get their attention. The closeness and acceptance of the family truly had me in tears. I love love love how sweet Dash is with Beckett. I did not want this story to end and I’m so glad Max is getting his story soon too. I’m not so secretly hoping that Dash and Ruby are in it a LOT! I hate when people say “it’s a swoony romance” BUT! This story was soooo swoony in the BEST way! Totally PG but the attraction and connections were so strong still! This was my first book by Dulcie Dameron and definitely will not be my last. I was selected to be a part of the ARC Team for this book and the Street team for the Stars, Stripes & Hockey Nights collection with 13 books by 13 authors! Thank you for choosing me to receive an advanced copy of this book. I absolutely loved it. These opinions are 100% own and I review all the books I read. #HockeyNightsRomCom #USA250

Oh Dulcie, thank you for writing such an amazing story! This was the perfect book to add to this series. I had such a great time with these characters. Even though this is about Dash & Ruby I feel like Beckett stole the show! That kid was hilarious and just the sweetest! This book had me laughing like crazy, smiling throughout, swooning, falling in love and left me with the perfect ending!

Ruby is the sweetest character. This woman is working hard to make a life for herself while taking care of her mom and helping raise her brother. This woman deserved an award. I loved everything about her and when she meets Dash at her hair salon things take an interesting turn for her.

Dash is part of the All-Star Hockey team and is trying to enjoy the last moments on the ice before his career is over. To celebrate his last hoorah he gave away tickets for the first game. If he had only known that the kid that won those tickets would bring the person that would change his life!

This book was absolutely amazing and will make you feel like you are there with these characters. I just felt such a connection to these two. I loved getting to know Beckett as well. You will also meet Dash's family and they were the sweetest most loving family. If you want a book that will take you away from life and make you feel happy and giddy, then this book will be perfect for you! I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Thank you Dulcie Dameron for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

A strangers to more, sports romance in the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series. This has been a great series focusing on our nation’s 250 birthday and this one did not disappoint.

Dash is a professional hockey player and is worried with a shoulder injury that this could be the end of his career. Not wanting to go out when made to but wanting to leave on his own, he is pushing through and now gets to participate in the National Hockey Championship in DC. A promise to his cousin that he will ask out the next girl that he feels any sparks with may just be what he needs to move forward after his past failed relationships and the hurt they have caused.

Ruby, “Tinsel” as Dash nicknames her, is just trying to move forward. She owns a local hair salon in DC and does well but the past several months have been hard with her mom’s health and younger brother to help care for. When the man that she has only watched online when he streams video games has awarded her brother free tickets to a game walks in for a cut and beard trim, she isn’t sure how to handle the situation. To say she handled it well would be an overstatement.

Filled with laughter and some intense moments this novel is sure to entertain. Check it out today on Kindle Unlimited!

When Ruby’s little brother wins two tickets to a hockey game and a meet and greet with his favorite player of all time, who also happens to be a gamer who live streams, he’s excited. It just so happens before the game, that same player shows up in Ruby’s salon for a trim and a shave.

Ruby is awkwardly adorable and Dash feels a connection with her quick, one that is solidified with a shaving cream mishap. When he realizes the older sister of the boy who won the game experience is the same woman he gave his number to, it seems like the universe is throwing him a sign.

I loved how Dash didn’t make his attempts to win Ruby fully focused on her. It started with just being nice to her brother, and then being nice to her, and slowly working the pace she was setting. The way the author wrote Ruby was so honest - someone who has been through so much at her age hasn’t had time to really think about or want something just for her. I was glad that with the help of her best friend and her mom, Ruby began to realize that she is worthy of a love that’s truly amazing.

I read this in one day because I just had to see what happened next and when they were both going to finally admit how they really felt! While I’m glad those two figured it out, I was a little bummed when the brother wasn’t around as much because he was a classic almost teenage boy and made me laugh with his honesty.

Dash DiFranco is in DC to play hockey in the tournament. He is still nursing a broken heart, so romance seems a distant possibility for him, plus he is nursing a shoulder injury which is about to get the best of him. Romance may have seem farfetched for him, but he didn't count on meeting a cute hair stylist named Ruby with tinsel in her hair.

Ruby is hyper focused on two things - making her salon a success and helping to care for her little brother and mother, as she recovers from a stroke. She is too shy to meet a guy anyway. When hockey pro Dash walks into her salon for a trim, all bets are off as she tries to play it off smoothly as if she does not know who he is. There were several funny scenes in the salon.

I really enjoyed this story and these characters. I liked the fact that the characters were invested in their family relationships. i also adored Dash's nickname for Ruby - Tinsel. There are two many great scenes to list, but one of my favorites is the gala. It was like a fairy tale. The hockey banter and pranks continue in this series. This one was chef's kiss perfect.

If Dulcie Dameron writes it, I'm going to love it... and this one was no different. Right from their first somewhat awkward meeting, I adored these two. As an introvert who can be a little awkward around people myself, I definitely related to Ruby on that front. Dash was the perfect balance to her. Despite their awkward start, these two really had such a sweet dynamic between them that I couldn't get enough of. I also loved the importance of family in this story. The relationships that both of these characters had with their respective families were great and added so much to the story... including some laugh out loud moments! This might have been a whirlwind romance with both of these two falling hard and fast, but it worked for them! Simply put, I loved it.

So Gallantly Streaming is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is part of the Stars, Stripes and Hockey Nights series. This is a multi-author series, and all books can be enjoyed as standalones with no issues.

"Still, a spark of… something… ignites in my chest at the thought of it all. Self- approval, maybe? The satisfaction that even if I am an awkward turtley girly, I was able to catch the notice of a practically perfect famous hockey player?"

The queen of the black cat heroine has a new story out, did you hear?

I LOVED this sweet story! The spontaneous meet cute, the second goofy meeting, and the relentless courtship made this story a must-read for me. Gallant Dash going after Ruby in pursuit of that something special, that spark, was an absolute treat. I laughed, I blushed, and I cheered as Ruby came to see herself through Dash's eyes. I love how he treated his family and her family.

I love that we get to follow along with their story through the Stars and Stripes tournament and beyond. That is always so satisfying as a reader. The epilogue is gold!

Thank you for another wonderful story, Dulcie!

I received a copy for consideration without expectation of a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This was a clean romance. It is part of a series, Stars, Stripes and Hockey Nights. It can be read as a stand-alone.

Dash is chosen for the All American hockey Tournament in DC. He has a bit of a shoulder injury. He also is a gamer and live streams. Ruby’s brother, Beckett, wins tickets to the first game. He is a big fan of Dash. Beckett has his sister, Ruby take him as their mom is disabled. Ruby has a crush on Dash as she has played the games with her brother. However, she meets him for the first time when he shows up at her salon for a haircut. There are definitely sparks. Can something work out when she lives in DC and he is in Colorado?

This was such a cute story. I am loving this series with these hockey players. Each has a different story. I liked the interaction between Ruby, her brother and Dash. It was a great read.

I received an ARC from the author and am leaving an honest review.

This is a really fun entertaining book. It’s part of the Stars and Stripes hockey tournament, celebrating America’s 250th birthday. It is held in Washington DC. In this story, Dash DeFranco his coming from the Utah hockey team and will spend a few weeks in DC. He is still suffering from a shoulder injury and from a bad breakup. Ruby Pickerington owns a hair salon in DC, she is also caring for her mother who was disabled from a stroke and her 12-year-old brother Beckett. When Beckett wins a meet and greet with a pair of hockey tickets from his favorite hockey player, Ruby is asked to go with him. I love the cute meet between Ruby and Dash. The story will make you laugh and warm your heart. The supporting characters are also fun and personable. Each story in the series can be read as a standalone. It is a clean, wholesome, feel good romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

So Gallantly Streaming is a delightful, family oriented, introvert/extrovert, swoony romance. I love all these characters so much I did not want the book to end. Ruby's brother wins the tickets to Dash's hockey game but Ruby meets Dash before the game when he comes to her salon for a haircut. Ruby's shy awkwardness sets her up for so many cringe worthy moments, but Dash is smitten anyway. I love all the supporting characters - Ruby's family, her best friend, Dash's family and more. Ms. Dameron's well written book presents some amazing, down to earth, relatable characters and their great support systems. I wanted to quote the line when Dash's family tells him if he messes up the relationship, they are keeping Ruby, but someone already did. It is still my favorite line because we told my brother something similar when he met the amazing woman he married! If you want to read a swoony, hockey romance with a great cast of characters, look no further.

Firstly, I must say thank you for my ARC of this book. I am really loving this series. Every book has been outstanding and the stories extremely touching. This book was no exception to that rule. A 5 star read it gripped me from the very beginning to the very end. What absolutely wonderful and charismatic main characters beautifully written. All the side characters in this book were all so fabulously crafted by the author too. I enjoyed the narrative and it honestly made me happy and made me cry on an occasion or two. Ruby's brother was a complete star. I absolutely adored him and wish that in real life everybody could have a kid brother like him. The boy helped play matchmaker and he did so innocently and unaware, great writing. My first ever Dulcie Dameron book and I know for sure it will not be my last. Please, if you are not familiar with this author, take a chance on this book and I have to bet you will not be disappointed at all.

🎀 Lily’s verdict: 🤍 It Was Good

Dash and Ruby were such a sweet pair, and I had so much fun reading their story! Dash was the definition of a golden retriever MMC—kind, patient, and impossible not to love. 🥹

But I have to admit…Beckett completely stole the show for me😂 He was absolutely adorable, and every scene he was in made me smile. His outgoing personality brought so much heart and humor to the story.

Overall, this was a sweet, feel good romance that left me smiling, and I think fans of wholesome hockey romances will really enjoy it🤍

Oh my goodness this is such a sweet and endearing book. I was pulled in to this story from the very beginning and it kept me intrigued until the very end. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. Dash and Ruby are amazing together. Their connection and chemistry were so genuine and completely off the charts. Dash is too freaking cute. His gaming persona is so relatable and his willingness to meld his two worlds was endearing. Ruby is such a strong character. She’s so dedicated to her family and willing to do anything for them. Dash is so devoted to being a part of Ruby’s life that it just makes your heart happy. These two were always meant to be in my opinion. And watching them grow together and things develop between them had me blushing and swooning just like these two. The ending was exactly what they deserved and everything I wanted for them.

Okay. I’m obsessed with this series and obsessed with this book!!!! Ruby and Dash are simply dashing.

Dash is such a golden retriever. Slowly shows her he’s around for good, brings her food and stays in her orbit. He takes care of her without needing in return. And he’s so good with Beck!

Ruby is such an awkward potato I love it!!!! She’s so family oriented and dedicated. Truly an amazing sister and daughter to have. But she also has such a wonderful support system.

This may have been closed door and kisses only but man I feel like I was fanning myself 🥵 don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t too much but it definitely made you feel the passion and pull.

There’s the hockey. And the pranks. And the America’s 250th. But so much more! 10/10.

Favorite line

✨ The signals I’m sending you are anything but mixed. I’ll prove it to you if you let me.✨

A really sweet hockey romance with a couple that is so easy to root for! I liked that Dash & Ruby are both so down to earth & have insecurities like anyone else especially when it comes to love! It made them feel very relatable. Dash & Ruby are the perfect example of not knowing what you need until you find it & it’s so adorable to see it unfold! This book is so funny too! I literally laughed out loud at some of Beck’s sibling antics & Ruby’s hair mishaps! I’m not much of a gamer but I thought it was a fun touch to this story that I didn’t mind! The hockey was fun too but the romance was my favorite part! It helps that Ruby & Dash are such genuinely good people, so easy to like, & protective of their families! This is a story that definitely leaves you smiling to yourself all the way through!!

Is a sweet, clean, Golden Retriever MMC, opposites attract, he falls first, hockey romcom with no cliffhanger.

Some of the lines I really like --- "I want more than physical attraction. I crave connection. Like that electric current flowing between two people, the sheer magnetism that makes you want to stay close to them...” --- "You’re you. The girl who captured me with one shy look. One awkward squirt of shaving cream later, and I was ready to recite vows.” ---

Will Dash's shoulder end his hockey career? What's Max up to? What's Alayna up to? These and other questions will all be answered?

Beckett (Beck) is Ruby's annoying, funny, matchmaking, younger brother.

I loved Ruby and Dash's story and I'm sure you will too. I've found a new favorite author and I can't wait to read her next book.

I loved everything about Dash and Ruby’s story. Dash is near the end of his career and has a live stream gaming channel to fall back on–after the commemorative hockey tournament. Ruby is living her dream of owning a salon. They make multiple chance connections, some embarrassing (shaving cream, anyone?) and some so sweet, in this darling summer romcom that let me swoon, smile, and savor every page.

I loved the way Dash’s golden retriever energy meshed with Ruby’s shyness, creating humor, tender moments, and all the romance my heart could want. They each have such fun family dynamics that really add a lot to the book.

All the hockey and awkwardness aside, I adored this couple and loved adding more to the Stars, Stripes, and Hockey Nights series.

I almost DNF'd this one in the first 25%, but I'm really glad I stuck with it because it definitely got better! It took me a while to connect with the story at first, but I ended up really enjoying the sweet moments between Dash and Ruby.
I especially loved when the story focused more on Dash's hockey side (and some of his lines had me SWOONING). Beckett was also hilarious whenever he was with Dash and Ruby! My favorite thing was how Dash was always there for Ruby, especially when she was unsure or even the tiniest bit uncomfortable. He was so attentive to her feelings.

A slow start for me, but ultimately a super sweet and cute romance that I'm glad I didn't give up on.

Thank you so much to Dulcie Dameron for the ARC! I’m so glad I stuck with this one and got to experience Dash and Ruby’s story.

Stars Stripes and Hockey Nights: Dash
Ruby

This was such a sweet, family-focused hockey romance. Dash fell first, and fell hard, and it was impossible not to love his golden retriever energy as he patiently brought Ruby out of her shell.
Ruby was understandably a little starstruck at first, but I loved how naturally their connection developed. Their relationship was sweet, and the focus on family, especially Ruby caring for her younger brother, gave the story plenty of heart.
The epilogue was the perfect way to end the story. Dash waking up from surgery was equal parts adorable and hilarious, and it left me smiling long after I finished.

A wholesome, feel-good romance with a lovable hero, an endearing, and slightly awkward heroine, and plenty of heart.
