Can a protective cyborg guard a brilliant scientist from a hidden threat?
Dr. Cassandra Winters has dedicated her life to the study of Mars and the mysteries beneath its surface. When strange readings emerge from a remote monitoring station, Cass sets off with her cybernetic armadillo Roland to investigate.
Cyborg ranger Z-542’s job is to protect, not to feel. He does his best to keep his distance from the humans on Mars—even the enticing little scientist he can’t stop thinking about. However when he discovers that Cass has headed out into the wilderness alone, nothing will stop him from going after her.
When an unexpected storm traps him with Cass, the attraction between them can no longer be ignored. But something dangerous is stirring beneath the surface of Mars. With danger closing in from above and below, can they protect each other—and admit the feelings blossoming between them?
Each book in the Cyborg on Mars series can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. This sweet and spicy science fiction romance is intended for mature readers. A version of this story was previously published in the Pets in Space 10 anthology.
Hoo-boy! Things are moving in a new direction for Mars and I AM HERE FOR IT.
This time around we have Cass and Z-542/Zach. She's a scientist determined to do her part to make Mars a better place to live. He's a ranger who has convinced himself he doesn't make special trips to the outpost Cass works at just for the chance to see her. To be fair, they've both sort of convinced themselves they're not interested. Which is a decidedly untrue because they're both VERY into the other.
When Cass sets out alone (well, alone except for her sweet armadillo companion) to a remote station, Zach hurries to check up on her. Timing is everything, however, and he ends up arriving at the station just as a massive dust storm hits. Which effectively traps him in a remote habitat with the woman he has a thing for. Fortunately for everyone involved (except maybe Roland who possible saw things his little armadillo eyes can't unsee), Cass also has a thing for him. Let's juts say THINGS HAPPEN and go from there.
ON top of THINGS HAPPENING, they're soon investigating the strange readings that brought Cass out there and finding life forms that shouldn't exist. They have to trust one another implicitly (which they do) and figure out who to tell about this new discovery. And, you know, survive the encounter. Look, it turns out there are more dangerous things on Mars than just the corporation that tried to exploit it.
A little danger, some big feelings, a cyborg who will protect his lady with everything he has, and a lady who finds out she really likes being part of a team. Well, when the other half of her team is a sexy, immensely competent cyborg.
This is a fun sci-fi colonization romance novella, originally published in the Pets in Space 10 anthology. It’s part of the Cyborgs on Mars series of interconnected standalones.
FMC scientist Cass sets off to a remote location to investigate some unexpected geological readings. With a storm approaching, MMC cyborg ranger Z-542 aka Zach shows up, concerned for her safety. They investigate the area together, uncovering some unexpected results, as well as some rather expected close-proximity reactions to each other.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the action elements, and there was some nice pining. Cass also has a cute cyborg armadillo pet, which was a lot of fun. This series has hinted around some of the underground activity on Mars, and I feel like this installment may be intended to bridge the gap between this series and Phillips’ new Dragons on Mars series.
I’m not sure if there will be more in the Cyborgs on Mars series, but I can’t wait to see what happens next on Mars in Last Dragon on Mars, scheduled for release in April 2026.

Oh do I love my cyborg cowboys on Mars. This series doesn't get old it just gets better and each time I visit its like co.ing home to see old friends and make a few new ones along the way. Cass is a passionate and driven scientist who loves her job. She discover an Anomaly and goes out to investigate. Zach chose to be a cyborg and come to Mars and ever since he rescued the beautiful scientist Cass he's done little else but fight feeling he didn't realize he still had. When he finds out she has go to a remote outpost and a shad storm is brewing he follows her. Together they find something that should not exist on Mars ! Original life forms. Plants life and something else something that has either been hiding or reawakening. As the storm rates and their discoveries mount Zach and Cass give into the feeling between them and forge something true and lasting between them. Proving love is the most important discovery you can make!🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥
We are back on Mars with new discoveries of feelings and life. I loved both Zach aka Z-542 and Cassandra. I loved how they worked together even with a shaky start. Him being bossy and her being determined and stubborn. But she is not stupid , Cass knows she needs his protection. They discover they , in a sense, have a lot in common . With her past and parents and him going through the cyborg program, voluntarily. Each not knowing their own worth. It was fun to read how they overcame their own obstacles. Excellent worldbuilding. Slow burn to the steamy romance. Loved the mysteries they researched. I loved Roland. He is so protective and useful. I loved the heart of the story. Alina is a very good friend with Cass. Encouraging her and teasing. It will be interesting what learn what she also discovered. Can't wait.

High Noon Cyborg is a Cyborgs on Mars Sci-Fi romance whose FMC Dr. Cassandra Winters is about to embark on a trip to a remote monitoring station where strange readings are being emitted. Along with her cybernetic armadillo she sets out planning to arrive there before an incoming storm arrives. When ranger Z-542 finds out she left without backup he contacts Cass and lets her know he’ll be waiting at the station for her arrival. Neither side will admit it yet but they both are attracted to each other and this sudden little adventure is going to include all kinds of revelations. A grand well written story with mystery, emotion, passion, and likable characters is another wonderfully conceived Mars cyborg romance. HEA.

Thrilled to return to my favorite book series on Mars with feisty intelligent leading ladies and robotically enhanced diligent charismatic men. Dr. Cass Winters detects movement and possibility of life on Mars. Cass does not what to sit in a lab all day but rather explore as she has an adventurous spirit. She sets out with her trusty robotically enhanced armadillo Roland. Z-542 also known as Zach had taken a shine to Dr. Winters. He has saved her before when she was stranded. As the storm approaches they set out to explore the tunnels underground close proximity and the possibility of danger only increases their closeness to each other. Connection between Cass and Zach is tender and passionate. Greatly enjoyed this book!.

I loved this story and how, like other women on the Mars colony, there is a very handsome, and virile Ranger. One who has tried to act like he's not human anymore, to avoid feelings of rejection from a woman who is making him feel like a man, hungry for a certain woman scientist in his life. Their being stuck at a building where strange readings are coming from, while a dust/sand storm is raging, brings to the surface both of their feelings of attraction, and love. The discovery of the creature down in the tunnels, is dangerous, and caused Zach to be injured with it's massive claws. The unintended ending while it was captured in a type of containment device, brings scientific disappointment, and loads of questions. I'm sure we will get our answers in the next book that's coming out shortly. Trish. A

4.6⭐️ Protective Cyborg & Determined Scientist fall for each other
Another fun read from Honey Phillips. Even though it was not my favorite of her stories, I do love the characters, her descriptions and the steam. I love the strong, intelligent heroine and the strong, protective hero. I love that Cass is determined and constantly wanting to learn. I love that Zach is supportive of her and will do whatever it takes to protect her. I would have liked more of a HEA instead of a HFN with what felt like a cliffhanger, even though it was more of a set-up for the next book. I do look forward to reading the next book & finding out what Alina found and why she’s being so secretive.

Dr. Cassandra Winters is a scientist at Border Town on Mars. When readings at an unmanned station show strange readings she goes to check it out along with Cyborg Ranger Z-542 aka Zach. On the way a dust storm starts and they get stranded at the unmanned station. They find there is definitely something alive down there but what is it, was it always there, how did this happen without anyone knowing and what does it mean? While looking into this, Zach and Cass find they want more together than just a professional relationship. It was a steamy, intriguing, short story and I am anxious to see what is going to happen in Dr. Alina Faulkner's story. Loved it! First, I have to tell you I absolutely love the cyborgs on Mars! Each one is sexy, and soooo protective. Cassandra is a scientist on Mars, and her research takes her to an outpost where she gets trapped with Zach. I love how Cass and Zach have been kind of circling each other, not sure how to tell the other of their feelings. While this is happening, things are changing daily on Mars, and new discoveries are being made. This is a fantastic addition to the series, and there is a little cliffhanger, but not a bad one. I can't wait for the next book!!!

“If we’re going down there, I’m not taking any chances with your safety.”
Mars is full of mysteries, so are secrets kept by the corporation leading research on the planet, and some are the planet’s own secrets.
Cass is determined to understand some unexplained seismic activity. Zack, the cyborg ranger for the region, doesn’t want her heading into a Martian storm alone, so he meets her at the station and proves military men can do more than shoot weapons.
This done in one kindle unlimited book really moves forward what is happening on Mars in this series in some fun and interesting ways!
High Noon Cyborg by Honey Phillips is a novella that pairs female scientist Cass and Cyborg marshall Zach as they investigate a mysterious underground phenomenon on Mars where no life has been found... yet. The two are trapped by a sand storm over 4 days, finding love and definite signs of Martian life, which disappears just as they are able to contain it. With no proof of life, they return to base, hoping to be able to find more proof in the future.

Cyborg ranger Z-542, or Zach, has had a thing for Dr. Cassandra Winters ever since landed on Mars. He is always checking in on her at her lab. Making sure she's safe. So when he finds out that she is on her way to a remote outpost during a storm he follows her. Cass has detected strange underground noises at the outpost a needs to investigate. Soon the storm will have them both stranded together with one bed. Good steamy mystery.

This is another fun addition to the series. Human scientist, Cass, sets off, after getting some weird readings, to a remote location on Mars. Cyborg ranger, Zach, has been pining for her but has kept his distance...until he realizes she's heading off on her own. Ha! These two investigate the area together but end up with some fab forced proximity time to let their chemistry explode ;P This is a romance with lots of action, danger, mystery, a cute cybernetic armadillo, danger and spice. The world building was spot on and this was a page turner for me. Good fun!
I have absolutely loved the Cyborg on Mars series, and this one was extremely suspenseful.
Zach / Z-542 was more in tune with his human side and expressed his emotions deeper. His connection with Dr. Cassandra Winters was apparent from the beginning.
I was impressed that she didn't shy away from exploring, despite the gravity of the situation. I'm sorry but my heart was pounding in my chest.
This was a sweet love story and that ending Honey, ooooh bring it on 🤣.

'With danger closing in from above and below, can they protect each other—and admit the feelings blossoming between them?'
What a ride, what a read! FANtastic! Great premise.
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

I started last night and finished this morning. I love these Cyborg lawmen and Z - 542 does not disappoint. There is adventure, as our intrepid scientist, Cassandra, leads the chase to find out what is causing mysterious readings. With Roland, the robotic armadillo, and Phantom, the cyber horse, there is humor and some suspense. I can't wait to find out to what happens to Alina. So, many questions and so much suspense. But don't worry, Cass gets her HEA.

Cass and Z-542/Zach find each other and a mystery! Cass has her trusty cyborg armadillo Roland and her fellow scientist Alina. When she heads off to investigate some strange readings Zach comes to keep her safe. Together they find something special between them and a new mystery on Mars! A bit of a cliffhanger but one that will be resolved soon in "The Last Drragon on Mars."

I really love the Cyborgs on Mars series and was thrilled to see this new one. While I get that it’s a bridge book between Cyborgs on Mars and the new series I was a bit disappointed though that this one was so short and it felt like the relationship between Zach and Cass was a tad bit rushed. It was a good read though as usual. I do hope to see more of the cyborgs in future even with the new spin-off series if that is possible.
Love the Cyborgs on Mars series. This latest offering includes a cyborg armadillo. I had no problem with the cyborg horses, but I admit the armadillo originally had me resisting the concept. Ah, but the illustration solved that and on to the romance. Again, feisty heroine meets man with a mission hero. Cyborgs are men, just go with that as a given. The story is sweet with a bit of heat and leads into a new series 'Dragons of Mars.' I'm actually looking forward to the new series, and a little sad that the end of cyborgs appears all but done.
Mars is getting more in-depth and it has now expanded to creatures. Cass and Z-542 or just Zach are stranded in a storm together. They have a great discovery and almost a battle they don’t win. Their attraction is hot and it is real which we all love. I’m glad to see that this series is getting expanded to now be more a mystery about Mars along with our lonely cyborgs getting human mates.
What a great story in this series! Cyborg Zach thought that when he gave up his human portions for cyborg that there was nothing left for him and Cass a wonderful scientist with a beautiful soft spot for that wonderful cyborg and then the adventure great story
Cass and Zach have started their relationship! What exactly did they discover during their trip to the out station on Mars? Also b why is Alina being so secretive? Have Zach and Cases really found a new type of lichen that is native to Mars? Read this exciting novel to get to know Zach and Cass better and lets not leave out Roland and Phantom.
Mars is coming alive as we follow (Z-542) Zach and Cass’s encounter with a creature not yet known to the current inhabitants of Mars.
I’m really looking forward to Alina’s encounter in “The Last Dragon of Mars.” This sounds to be a thrilling segue from the Cyborg series, but I’m still hoping for more cyborg stories.
He chose his condition and his post on Mars. W Phantom. She’s a scientist, very interested in the terrain on Mars. W Roland. Love the cyborgs and their cybernetic ‘friends’. The story of the life and goals on Mars? So interesting. This is a stand-alone in a series about cyborgs and life on Mars. All of them so good. The fun titles tickle me too. 😁🧐🥵🥰
I struggled with this one after his name is revealed to be Zach. I’ve never met a Zach that I personally liked so it made the whole story a bit sour for me.
But it’s written in the same style as the rest of the series and Honey Phillips continues to have a wild imagination!
A wonderful story, I was engaged from the start, Zach and Dr, Cassandra are great. It has action and adventure, romance with suspense, A page turner, Loved it.
