The Westons of Montana #6

The Cowboy’s Forever Promise

A laid-back Montana cowboy who flies by the seat of his pants and dodges commitment. A buttoned-up organizer who plans every detail—until one impulsive night flips her world upside down.

Carson Weston lives in chaos—his ranch house a disordered mess and his relationships are as casual and temporary. Only behind the camera does he chase perfection, capturing evocative shots on his family’s ranch. Then a sizzling, no-names night in a Spokane bar with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen ends with him waking alone.

Abby Swanson thrives on order. After a chaotic foster-care childhood, she plans every detail and discards anything messy—especially emotions. One-night stands? Never. Until that hot cowboy, the one with one blue and one brown eye makes her break every rule—just this once. When Abby arrives in Marietta to organize her best friend’s new home on the Weston Ranch, the last person she expects is Carson, complete with a meddling matchmaking family.

I have been reading love stories for as long as I can remember and when I ‘met’ the classic authors like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Henry James The Brontë sisters, etc. during my studies, I was hooked for life.
I married my college boyfriend and soul mate and we are fortunate to live in the picturesque little seaside village of Betty's Bay, South Africa with the ocean a block away and a beautiful mountain right behind us. And although life so far has not always been an easy ride, it has always been an exiting and interesting one!
I like the heroines in my stories to be beautiful, feisty, independent and headstrong. And the heroes must be strong but possess a generous amount of sensitivity. They are of course, also gorgeous! My stories typically incorporate the family background of the characters to better understand where they come from and who they are when we meet them in the story.

Carson Weston is really enjoying being a part of the bigger Weston family after joining the ranches together, he is kind of messy at home and layback he loves ranching and he loves photography, and looking or finding someone to settle down with and love is not in his future after the life he had as a kid with a controlling mother that is until he is in Spokane and he meets the most beautifulest woman and spends one night with her no names it is one night only.

Abby Swanson grew up in foster care and as an adult planning and order are her life and she runs a successful business in Seattle her best friend June has now moved to Marietta and is happily married to Dylan but that future is not on the cards for Abby she really needs to be on top of everything but on her way to visit June she stops in Spokane for a night and goes to a bar, not like her to do and she meets a man that has her acting out of her usual box and spends the most glorious night with him but no names were agreed to and the next morning she is on her way.

Arriving in Marietta Abby is shocked to find out that the man she spent the night with is none other than June’s brother in law and the spark and heat between them sparks up again and with the Weston family happily playing matchmaker do they have any chance of sticking to their life plans or will they realise that love and happiness is for them both together?

If you enjoy a steamy romance then this is one to read, I did very much enjoy this one and it was a good ending to the Weston’s of Montana series having them all together was good.

My thanks to Tule Publishing for my digital copy to read and review.

Carson was in Spokane to talk to an art gallery about his photography of Montana landscapes. After his good meeting he’s in a bar having a drink. Abby Swanson is on her way to Marietta MT to visit her best friend June. She’s stopped in Spokane for the night. Not being tired she does something she would never do and that’s go to a bar for a drink by herself. She walks in and finds the only seat available next to a cowboy. When she turns to looks at him, she’s speechless, he is gorgeous and has one blue eye and one brown one. Theres an instant attraction between them and they end up spending the night together. When he awakes in the morning, she’s already gone. He didn’t think he would ever see her again. Little did they know that their lives would be forever changed. Her best friend was actually Carson’s sister-in-law. A sweet heartwarming story of love at first sight but with a complication or two. The characters are wonderful, so real and very believable. Loved this addition to the Weston family.

Elsa Winckler delivers a heartwarming and beautifully written small-town Western romance with The Cowboy's Forever Promise, a captivating story about how opposites attract when they least expect it. The novel follows Carson Weston, a laid-back Montana cowboy who flies by the seat of his pants, leaves his ranch house in a disordered mess, and strictly avoids emotional commitment. The only place he pursues true perfection is behind the camera lens, capturing evocative photos of his family's ranch. His casual lifestyle gets turned completely upside down after a sizzling, anonymous one-night stand in a Spokane bar with a beautiful stranger who leaves him waking up alone the next morning.

That stranger is Abby Swanson, a buttoned-up organizer who thrives on absolute order. Having grown up in a chaotic foster-care system, Abby meticulously plans every detail of her life and completely discards messy emotions. One-night stands are entirely against her rules, but a strikingly handsome cowboy with one blue eye and one brown eye made her break them just this once. Fate steps in when Abby arrives in Marietta to help organize her best friend's new home on the Weston Ranch, only to find herself face-to-face with Carson and his meddling, matchmaking family.

Spanning 200 pages, this contemporary romance flawlessly balances the rich textures of ranch life and deep family bonds with an undeniable, simmering heat. Even as a tamer read, the emotional chemistry between Carson and Abby remains vibrant and compelling as they learn to let go of their fears. I highly recommend reading this book by this extraordinary author, who truly knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention by weaving unforgettable love stories.

Another Weston cousin meets his match. Carson Weston, cousin to the other Westons and brother of Dylan in previous books, meets Abby Swanson, best friend of June Kincaid and Dylan’s wife, at a bar. They have an unexpected and inexplicable connection. But they do not know what is in store for them. Meeting again in Marietta sets them off on quite a journey of discovery and changes. The whole Weston clan is involved in their story, which makes it extra special. It is not necessary to read the previous books but reading them enriches each subsequent story. June and Abby have been best friends forever, they were both in the foster system. Now June is married to Dylan [see Home to the Cowboy] and about to launch her children's book, Abby is going to Marietta to support her. Carson is in Spokane to see the owner of a gallery who might want to show some off his photographs.
Abby steps out of her comfort zone and goes for a drink in a bar, where she meets Carson, they don't exchange names!
Imagine her surprise when she meets him later!
His parents didn't appear to have a good marriage and he hasn't really had a relationship but Abby is getting under his skin! And she's very attracted to him but she lives in the city.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another great read in the series from Elsa

Abby Swanson doesn't do clutter; her job is helping people organize their homes. She is going to Marietta to help her best friend get her home office in order. They girls grew up together in foster care and formed a lifelong friendship. Carson Weston lives in Marietta, and his home is very disorganized. Abby and Carson share a night together in Seattle and give no names. When Abby arrives in town she realizes that Carson is her friends brother in law.

I loved this book — truly found it very entertaining from start to finish. Carson and Abby’s opposites‑attract chemistry jumps off the page, and their one‑night‑turns‑into‑something‑more connection is both spicy and surprisingly tender. Abby’s need for order and Carson’s beautiful chaos make them such a fun, compelling pair to root for, especially as they navigate family, past hurts, and the pull they can’t seem to shake. The Weston Ranch setting feels warm and familiar, and the author does a great job weaving in the larger family dynamic without ever overwhelming the story. It’s a sweet, satisfying romance with just the right amount of heat, heart, and small‑town charm. If you enjoy feel‑good cowboy romances with lovable characters and an emotional core, this one is a delight. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Cowboys Forever Promise by Elsa Winckler is another Westons of Montana books. This time it’s Carson Weston in the spotlight. Not one for serious relationships, it finds that he may want more from Abby Swanson. Abby is the opposite wanting all her ducks in a row always. So after a cause night, both find themselves in Marietta. Carson is charming but not my favorite character with his causal approach to relationship or just bumps in the night. Abby is more to my liking, but I would probably warn her off Carson. Good thing family is is on hand to do their matchmaking. A ranch romance that heats up.

The Cowboy’s Forever Promise is book 6 in the Weston’s of Montana series by Elsa Winckler 4.5 stars

Up next is Carson and Abby’s story of meeting in a bar in Spokane, one night stand and going their separate ways. Only problem they meet up again in Montana. June is her best friend and his new sister in law. The chemistry is off the charts, he is unorganized and she is the master at declutter, opposites, family, friends, and a HEA they both deserve. Final book in this series but what a great series!

The Cowboy’s Forever Promise is the final book in Elsa Winckler’s wonderful series, The Westons of Montana. This story introduces us to Abby Swanson, an organizer from Seattle whose best friend June has recently married into the Weston family. Abby and June grew up together in the Foster system and it shaped their lives. As the book opens, Abby is coming to Marietta, Montana to help her friend organize and declutter her home with her new husband. In her life, there is no place for coloring outside the lines and she follows the rules she’s made for herself in all aspects. She stops overnight on her trip and decides to go to a bar for a drink. Abby meets Carson Weston and they have instant chemistry. She goes against her normal behavior and agrees to a one night stand with no names exchanged. In the morning when he wakes up, she is gone.

Abby arrives in Marietta to help her friend and discovers to her surprise that her man from the night before is her friend’s brother in law. Everyone is shocked to hear that the couple has already met. Carson is known as very unorganized and his house is full of clutter. He does not do relationships or commitment as a result of his family life growing up. He has never wanted to change until now. He asks Abby to help him with his house. She agrees to look and make a decision. Abby is only in town for a week and they are opposites in every way. She agrees to work with Carson and the two spend time together in and out of bed. Both realize they are opposites and their lives are in two different places. He is also a photographer in addition to working on the ranch. After she returns to her home, both realize they have fallen for the other but the future and what to do is uncertain.

I loved this book as I have all the others in the series. Elsa is a terrific author and her books are well written with dynamic and genuine characters. There’s lots of romance, angst and drama in this fantastic story. I enjoy that the characters from the prior books in this series as well as books from other series the author has written are included. Marietta is one of my favorite fictional towns and I love returning there. Carson and Abby make a wonderful couple demonstrating it’s true that opposites attract. I highly recommend this book and give it five stars.

I was fortunate to receive this ARC from Tule Publishing Company in exchange for my honest review.

The Cowboy’s Forever Promise is the sixth title in The Westions of Montana series, set in Marietta, Montana – perhaps my favorite of all fictional small towns around. Carson and Abby, two very opposite-thinking people, are about to try to meld their personal life choices into a love that could last a lifetime… should complete chaos and absolute order ever find a way to coexist.

I had such fun with Carson and Abby. I have to admit that I’d love to be as organized as Abby, but unfortunately, I’m just as disordered as Carson is… at least until Abby comes into his life. I enjoyed watching their personalities slowly change as they grew closer and began to trust their feelings and each other. While all of Carson’s clutter didn’t totally disappear overnight, and Abby’s need for control slipped enough to allow for some spontaneous actions, at their core they are perfect for each other, and in the end, that’s all that’s truly important. We also get to visit with some very familiar faces from this series, as well as from Marietta, Montana at large. I’ve learned to never say that it’s over because authors surprise me all the time, yet it appears that The Cowboy’s Forever Promise is the final story in the series. While that’s always a bittersweet moment for me, I’ll also be looking forward to what adventures Elsa Winckler brings us next.

Abby and Carson’s story is well-written, engaging, definitely emotional, and passionate, while delivering a realistic, believable couple’s journey to that happy ending we all want. This author always delivers a believable, entertaining story and characters who feel like they live next door and are bringing me along for their adventures. If that sounds like your kind of Modern Western Romance, then you’d love The Cowboy’s Forever Promise… or the entire series if you haven’t started it yet.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or the author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. I chose to leave a review with my personal opinion of this book.*

Abby Swanson is from Seattle and loves her job. She owns her own business decluttering and organizing people’s home. She’s heading to Marietta to visit her best friend, June. That’s the only family she’s ever known. They were both brought up in foster care and they always had each other’s back. Carson Weston is a handsome cowboy, rancher and photographer at the Weston ranch. Ranching will always come first. He and his brother now joined their ranch with their cousins. Their families were in a fued for years but this generation is finally coming together and will make their legacy last for future generations. Carson will be heading home to Marietta tomorrow from Spokane, after visiting a gallery who wants to show his landscape photos . He just can’t believe it. He decides to go to a local bar for a nightcap, when a beautiful woman walk in and sits next to him. He’s in awe of her and Abby is mesmerized by Carson’s eyes which are two different colors. They end up having a fantastic night with no names. Never to see each other again. Abby makes it to Marietta and meets June’s new family. She is shocked to see the handsome cowboy who rocked her world. They can’t help thinking about their night but try to move forward. She’s only there for a week. She’s there to help organize June’s home after all, not to fall for a sexy cowboy. Can they stay away from each other? Will they seek for another night of passion? The chemistry is red hot. She’s a city girl and he’s a country boy. Can their two worlds meet in the middle? Will they hurt each other? Abby isn’t used to depending on anyone but herself. She just doesn’t trust people. She always has a list and a plan. Will she follow it or will it go off the rails? Carson has baggage too. His parents weren’t the best of people. Will these two follow their hearts. Sometimes you just have to let the past go to find your future. Follow their hearts. You never know when love will strike. The characters are wonderful. I was rooting for them. Spicy read. Worth it. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

What is not to like about Elsa Winckler's "The Westons of Montana" series? This book can totally be read as a standalone, the author fills in the important facts from the previous books but I would seriously urge reading the full series in sequence for the most enjoyment.
He has one blue eye and one brown one, this should be disturbing to Abby but strangely it was mesmerizing, especially as they belonged to the most handsome cowboy that she had ever seen.
Abby Swanson was in a bar in Spokane, Abby didn't go in bars but she was on her way to Marietta for her best friend, Junes, book launch and also to help her declutter her house. Abby and June had been brought up in care and because of this, Abby always had to have a plan and structure to her life, she organised and decluttered for a living, she never deviated from her plans, a torrid one night stand with a handsome cowboy with odd eyes was her first deviation, Abby didn't do things like this, the only saving grace was that she would never see him again.........or would she ?
The handsome cowboy was Carson Weston, one of the famous Weston clan who owned the Weston ranch in Marietta. Carson was laid back, he was disorganised, he was untidy in fact, he was a bit of a slob, apart from when he was taking photographs, beautiful pictures of the fields and mountains surrounding the ranch, pictures that were now hanging in galleries.
Carson was enchanted with the beautiful girl in the bar and he would never forget their one night together.
When June took Abby to meet her new family at a family dinner, she was to find out that her handsome cowboy was the brother of her best friend's husband.
The combustive attraction between Abby and Carson is obvious to all, but Abby's life is in Seattle, and even if it wasn't, could she put up with Carson's untidy ways or would she blow a gasket, could Carson live with a woman who is constantly planning and tidying, he is eager to give it a try but can he convince Abby to stay.
A gentle romantic read

A delightful romance with professional organizer Abby Swanson deviating from her carefully laid plans and ending up in the arms of a stranger in Spokane for a night full of powerful chemistry between them but slipping out the next morning to make her way to her best friend June’s home in Marietta, Montana. Cowboy Carson Weston was in Spokane to meet with a gallery owner about showcasing his photographs and decides to grab a meal at a local bar before heading back to Marietta in the morning, when he’s absolutely stunned by the beautiful blonde who just sat down next to him. Acting completely out of the norm for him, a man who is not usually interested in someone this much or overcome with desire the way he is with this stranger, but he’s quickly asking her to leave with him. Yet the next morning she’s gone and he can’t help thinking about her all the way back to Marietta. As the chaos that is the Weston family surrounds him, Carson is completely surprised when he meets his sister-in-law’s best friend.
I loved this book with the chemistry between Carson and Abby burning so hot, and I kept turning the pages to see how they were going to work it out since she was planning on going back to Seattle in a week. Carson’s appreciation over her, red and black, and his ability to overlook her tidiness except when he had other things on his mind for her to be doing was endearing. How they lost themselves in each other hit all the romantic points for me. The secondary characters were great and added comedy, heartfelt love and a special understanding to the story. You’ve just got to love a big, chaotic family who love and care for each other and don’t hesitate to let you know it.

Abby Swanson has built her life on there is a place for everything and everything in it's place. She is the Queen of being organized and helps others be that way too. She has come to Marietta to help out her BFF organize her new office, stay a few days and head back to Seattle where she has her thriving business. But along comes a cowboy who's home is a chaotic disaster and who goes from one short term relationship to another, commitment is not in is nature. But for Carson and Abby after discovering that the one-night in a hotel in Spokane, with no names given meet when she comes to town for her friend and he is the brother of her friends husband. What can happen....
These two are so opposite and when that chemistry burns again so hot, what are they to do. Can they have just a few days of passion and fun and walk away...

This was a wonderful book to read. I love a good opposite attraction romance and this book has all of those things I love, hot cowboy, strong woman who knows her own mind, but wants a passionate loving guy. And this book has it all. Abby and Carson fit the bill. And of course if you have read the other books in the Weston's of Montana you get to kick back with all the family and their friends for a good meals and lots of fun. These books can be read as standalones too if you haven't read them. But you just might want to start from the beginning to meet the family. It's always fun to return to Marietta and maybe kick back at Gray's Salone, The Graff Hotel or Sage's chocolate shop or any of the many wonderful places to enjoy in this wonderful small town.

Abby Swanson is the best friend of June from a previous Weston romance. She's come up to help June declutter her home. Years in foster care have left Abby with a bit of an obsession about neatness and control so she's used her superpower to become a professional declutterer using the principles of Marie Kondo.
On her way to Marietta, she spends the night at Spokane and meets a cowboy who has two different coloured eyes. She's fascinated, even though it should trigger her need to balance. So much so, they have an amazing night before going their separate ways.
Carson Weston is one of the cousins and the brother-in-law to June. He's in Spokane for gallery event as he's a landscape photographer when he's not doing ranch work on the family property. He's at the other end of the tidiness spectrum and his house is a mess. Definitely not someone Abby would want long term.
Meeting at Marietta with the family with the Weston's looking on is always going to be a challenge, especially when they weren't expecting it. Yet Carson has a sudden desire to have Abby declutter his house. A bit.
There was a lot of push and pull between these two which Abby clinging to the security of her life in Seattle while Carson was reluctant to push her into making any kind of sacrifice.
The whole Weston family were on board with the romance and it was fun to see them all together and pushing for this final member to meet his fate.

Abby Swanson, the queen of organizing and decluttering, is driving all the way from Seattle to Marietta to finally visit and spend time with her best friend, June, and has decided to sleep over in Spokane.

Carson Weston, rancher first and photographer second, and also June’s brother-in-law, is meeting up with a gallery in Spokane to exhibit his landscape photographs.

Carson is mesmerized by the beautiful girl who just walked into the bar and is sitting next to him. Abby decides to have a drink in a bar, something totally out of her comfort zone and spontaneous. She doesn’t do spontaneous. She has lists and plans. But the sexy, rugged cowboy next to her awakens things in her, although his ‘ghost’ eyes should totally bother her. The attraction is real, and a one-night stand might just be what both need. But oh, what great surprise when they come face to face again in Marietta’s Grey Saloon.

The heat and attraction are still there, but it can never work; they are too different. Carson is unorganized and untidy, something that comes from growing up with a mother who always tidied and cleaned up, and Abby found her coping mechanism in structure and tidiness while growing up in foster care. He is a small-town cowboy. She is a successful, very busy specialist in her field and a city girl.

Sadly, this is the last book of the Westons, and it comes with lots of emotions and a few plot twists, but of course a quick and intimate wedding in true Westons’ style!

The Cowboy’s Forever Promise
The Westons of Montana #6 by Elsa Winckler

I have been following The Westons of Montana series from the very beginning, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single book. However, I have to say, The Cowboy’s Forever Promise may just be my favourite of them all! ❤️

Written extremely well, with fantastic characters and a strong, heartfelt storyline, this book had everything I look for in a great romance. I loved getting to know the characters and watching their story unfold. The combination of romance, family, ranch life, and plenty of emotion made this a truly enjoyable read.

Elsa Winckler has once again created a story that pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages. If you have been following the Weston family, this is a wonderful addition to the series—and if you haven't started the series yet, I highly recommend giving it a try!

A fantastic read and, for me, possibly the best Weston story yet! 💕🤠.

If you’re into stunning blondes and cowboys with six packs, then The Cowboy’s Forever Promise will suit you nicely. The setting is gorgeous too. I love the fictional town of Marietta and the ranches that surround it with stunning Copper Mountain behind it. I’ve got to know the Westons through the stories of the various children, Carson Weston being the last of them to partner up. He’s an interesting character with a passion for both ranching and photography, something at which he is very talented. Abby Swanson is his sister-in-law June’s best friend and has come to town to help June celebrate the launch of her first book. Abby is a neat freak who lives by Marie Kondo rules, apart from her passion for sexy underwear. Carson, on the other hand, is far more interested in living his life than tidying up. On paper, these two couldn’t be more different, but opposites attract and they sizzle between the sheets. For me, there was far too much sex and not enough emotional development, but each to their own.

For some reason, the Weston men just seem to be able to find their one and only and can get those women to make their new homes in Montana! This is Carson and Abby's story.

Carson who is clutter personified unless he's behind his camera and Abby de-clutters peoples homes and lives for a living. Carson is loved by his extended family without restriction so he feels he can just coast along. Abby, after years in the foster care system, has to manage everything in her life to feel centered.

After a chance meeting and a night neither wants to forget, when they get to Marietta, one is home and the other is visiting her best friend, they come together again.

Will a long distance romance be a good fit for these two, or will someone have to make a complete life change?

I've read all of the books in this series and have enjoyed them. Easy to read and just the thing for a long afternoon read

Book six of "The Westons of Montana". Set in Marietta, Montana - if you know you know. Abby Swanson has a plan for everything, backed up with lists and spreadsheets. On her way to visit her best friend at her new home in Montana, Abby goes off track and has a blistering no-names night with a cowboy at a hotel in Spokane. The next morning, she leaves for Montana, never expecting to see him again. Carson Weston's heart has always lived on the ranch, but his second love photography has been getting attention from a gallery in Spokane. When he gets home and finally meets his new sister-in-law's best friend, he's shocked but delighted, to see the beautiful woman who has been occupying his mind ever since Spokane. But convincing Abby to throw away her life plan might prove a little difficult. Has he got what it takes?

Carson only does casual. Abby plans and assesses risk before she does anything. When they meet at an out of town bar all bets are off. Abby veers from her plan and hooks up with the mystery cowboy she met at the bar. The next morning she leaves before he wakes. No names no numbers. From there she travels to Marietta to visit her best friend and help her organize her new home. Image her shock when she sees her mystery cowboy on the ranch. Carson is shocked that his mystery/vanishing girl is his new sister in-laws best friend. She wants to keep her distance, Carson wants to see if what they have is real. Can this cowboy prove to this grown foster care child that he is in it forever? Good read.

As a professional organizer Abby likes plans and being clutter free. While rancher Carson is a slob and enjoying his new successful hobby as a photographer. They didn’t expect more than one night and he even says after discovering she folded his clothes before she snuck out that she’s not his type. But they both realize the next day that her best friend Abby is his sister-in-law. Carson’s new puppy is adorable and loves Abby. There’s a connection between the humans too but are they too different and is she willing to move and change her organized life for him? This was a steamy opposites attract one night stand to more romance. It was great to catch up with the rest of his family.

What a terrific love story Elsa wrote right here. I really enjoyed this book as well as the standalone books in this series.
I love how Elsa has you feeling like you are right there in Marietta, Montanna with all of the characters. The way she describes the scene when Abby is driving with her window down and smelling the crisp fall air had me missing my own small town.
This is one of my favorite books to have read in this series but let me be totally honest they all have been 10-star romance stories.

Abby and Carson's story. Carson is the last of the Weston Clan, that we know of, that has yet to find his other half. He doesn't play on getting married, that is until he meets Abby. Abby is June's best friend and is wary of marriage herself. So when she meets Carson, she thinks it's just her blowing off steam, little did she know he would be her happy ending. Great story, loved visiting Marietta, Montana and the Westons.

Wowza! This story is hot and spicy from the get go-bar meet hook up in Spokane with no names exchanged to an “Oh, no, it’s you” in Marietta. Crazy thing is neither Addy nor Carson want any relationship. Plus, she works as a decluttering guru and he is a messy guy. Can chemistry combined with a very strong pull overcome their hangups?

The Magic Of Marietta...
I loved this small town read! It gives you a real good sense of family! A one night stand, a connection, fate bringing them together... I loved the journey that Abby and Carson took to get to their happy ending! Sometimes it is good to be impulsive! These characters were a delight to read about! Enjoyed this book from beginning to end!.

Carson gets a little frustrated when all his siblings start smooching and hugging, he has never had anyone he wanted to be that close to, at least not until he met Abby. One night of lust, a second surprise meeting and both of their lives are changed forever. Their steamy relationship was sweet, romantic and so very loving. I have enjoyed reading about the Westons and how love has found them all.
