One wrong move could end her life. One forbidden bond could claim her heart.

Mayara has always dreamed of becoming a sentinel to defend the realm from invading dragons and the brutal riders who command them.

But when a charming thief full of secrets sabotages her entry trial of the Sky Academy, that future falls apart. Before she can accept defeat, he offers her a dangerous bargain: help him steal dragon eggs, and he will secure her a second chance at the future he destroyed.

To survive the dragons and their riders, she'll have to trust the mischievous man who betrayed her—while fighting her growing attraction for him.

But when an encounter with a rider almost kills her, she's saved by none other than a dragon, kindling a new power and awakening a strange connection, allowing her safe return to the kingdom.

Mayara finally carves her place in the academy, except that slowly she realizes that dark secrets lurk within its walls, and betrayal waits in the wings.

Can she risk everything she fought for?

Some bonds are forged in fire. Some are meant to burn it all down.

Under Restless Skies is a steamy enemies-to-lovers epic romantasy featuring badass dragons, a ruthless rider, forbidden magic, cute hatchlings, a morally-gray prince, a heroine finding her power, and an academy hiding dangerous secrets.

Review of advance copy received from NetGalley

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

2,5 ⭐️

I went in with this books absolutely blind and I can’t say I enjoyed it a lot. The pace was fast and you flip through the pages pretty fast (as I am pretty slow reader). I loved that the FMC Mayara is logical, isn’t dumb and has a personality! She stood up for herself which was soo satisfying.
Dragon vibes wasn’t very impressive but I adored the little dragons💯

I loved Mayara’s family & friends. They were pretty nice!

Some say the MMC Alayel is morally grey or black or whatever but I find him very arrogant. Sometimes misogynistic & he is also very egotistical. He made couple of weird comments but I kept reading.

There is extreem lack of character description.. and lack of explaining of how something happened or where or what the main character is doing. For example: we met this unknown rider, he appeared 2 times in the book and he fought with Mayara, we didn’t get really enough evidence of how he looks like, what he’s wearing, what his features look like etc. And if we get any of that it’s very little and sometimes we get them throughout the book which I personally find annoying because everytime I have the “final image”, the description change and I’m having error in my head😭

One scene that I read 4 times and then decided I’m gonna make everything up in my head was when she was stealing dragons eggs and the rider appeared and then a dragon appeared… I had no idea what she was doing, where she was standing, wether the rider used his hands or magic to make her.. what lay flat on the cave wall..? And then she’s in the dragons mouth? I personally had 404 error glitch

What I also really disliked is the fact that even after reading 200 pages I still have no idea why the book was written, what the plot was, I couldn’t even predict anything lol, some might take this as a good thing but there was literally NOTHING! I was so confused about quite literally everything, literally 20 pages left for the book and everything is happening too fast. All of a sudden she needs to leave etc.

I also still have NO IDEA what makes a “dragon rider” different? And why are they dangerous? Are they with the enemy land or what?

Some things in this book I didn’t really like and made me mad but I can’t really mention them because they are pretty much spoil the book. BUT I think Im gonna mention them 😔

SPOILERS AHEAD!!‼️‼️‼️

I hated how her father ruined her relationship with Marcus, they seemed too for each other and I wish she ended up with him😔
Aleyal pisses me off everytime he gets mentioned,
“You know you’ll have to obey me, right?” Honestly this rubbed me the wrong way 😬😐

Overall I’d give this a 2,5 stars 🤍 I would recommend this to people who love any book with dragons & drama!

Huge thank you to Day Leitao and Grimm & Co for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

Ahem. Excuse me. EXCUSE ME! May I have your attention! Hello, eyes up here, please! Thank you. For anyone that thinks dragons and war colleges are done, I am going to need you to put that thought to rest. It has not, this book is proof. Because when I tell you I read this 400+ page banger of a book in a single sitting, you best believe it.

My gods. This book? This book is why I love reading indie authors. This right here. I came in thinking I knew what the hell was going on. I didn’t. I did not. Because Day Leitao had me fooled. Bamboozled. HOODWINKED. She snuck a sleeper into the ranks and then beat me over the head so thoroughly, I am sufficiently disciplined now. Mayara wanted nothing more than to be accepted into the Sky Academy. She had gone through the entrance test twice, and hoped the third time was the charm. She wanted to protect her kingdom against the dragon invaders and keep her family and citizens safe. She wanted nothing more than to FLY. What happened next no one could have seen.

That’s it. That’s all I’m giving you because anything else will be spoilers because I can literally not keep my damn mouth shut. I am in AWE of this book. I was hooked. I was shocked. I was horrified. I was elated. I went through every damn emotion reading this book. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

And dammit, you should too. Under Restless Skies is out now, on KU if you’re able to snag it that way. I can not stress this enough… READ THIS BOOK! Then come find me because I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT ENDING!

Go. Go read it.

Six dragons for this one. Six. Dragons.

4.5 ⭐️

Mayara has always dreamed of flying on the back of a dragon. And her only way to make that dream come true is to enroll in the Sky Academy.
However, when she misses her last chance to be admitted, nothing goes as planned. She fails the exam and finds herself forced to accept a deal proposed by the very person who set her up to fail, Alayel : Stay in prison or steal dragon eggs in exchange for a spot at the Academy. For Mayara, the choice is already made.

The eggs are stolen, and Mayara enrolls in the Sky Academy.

- Dragons
- Academy setting
- Forbidden magic
- Morally Black/Gray MMC
- Romantasy
- Cute baby dragons

So far, I always loved a Day Leitao book. And with this ARC finished, I can say that it doesn't change. I'm not a real fan of dragons. Or rather, I don't really read books involving dragons. But this one interested me, and I'm so happy to have been selected to read it.

It really was worth it.

The pace was great, the characters well written, the tension too, and the plot - even if I figured something pretty soon - was really good.

I really liked Mayara Character, she knows her worth and she's not stupid enough to be fooled by her feelings. She stands for what is worth it and I liked that about her.

For Alayel, I don't have any pretty words for him right now. So I'll wait for book two to form any thought about him. I've put the tag Morally Gray/Black for him because I don't think he is really Gray. He leans towards Black, and there's a lot of wrong about his behavior. So in my opinion, he's more black than gray with nothing much to say to defend him.

I don't really like his character but only because the story wants it. He's still well written and still want to know what will become of him in book two.

The end made it a lot better for me. The book was good, but the ending made it better. All the things that I felt like was missing -explications, details- they were just for book two. And I just can't wait to learn more about this world.

Also, I'd like to read more about Ava and Vos. They were so cute. I feel the same way about them as Mayara does—I want to protect them.

So yeah, this was a really good reading for me.

Thank you so much Day Leitao !

Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this ARC.

I am a big fan of dragons and I was really looking forward to reading this. At first, I did not like the story as much but it grew on me and I really liked how the plot developed. At points I got frustrated with the naivety of Mayara and I really wanted to shake her and tell her I see bad things coming and to tell her to wake up. For Alayel, I have to say I do not like him. He is giving too much villain but in a good way for the plot and not my feelings. I wished there wss more for the trials portion and dragon history or explanation because I felt like it could have been interesting to learn and could have added another development to the story. Overall, the twists and turns of the ending made me really excited to learn where this series will head next.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest review.

While I enjoyed the overall story and some of the world-building, I thought that the book could have gone through a few more editing rounds. The pace was quick, but at times it was too quick, with some events happening without any build up to them, that made me wonder if I had missed something. I also didn't personally enjoy the writing style, which focused a lot more on telling, rather than showing me the story. There was also a lot of repetition, both in terms of the use of certain phrases and repetition of the story and inner monologues.

I have a lot I could comment on, that either confused me or made me wish it had been done better, but I can't do it without spoiling the entire book, so I'll leave it here.

My overall rating for this book is 2 stars.

My review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Under Restless Skies has so many of the things I love in a book:

- a relatable, strong-willed FMC with a good heart
- a well-developed, interesting world with intriguing politics
- plot twists, secrets, and hidden truths that unravel as you read

and another thing I didn't know I needed:
- two of the cutest, most cuddly baby dragons ever that melted my heart!

The book's writing style was easy to follow and the flow of the chapters kept me going. There were several plot twists along the way that completely surprised me and had my heart racing. Because of the old castle feel, high stakes, and relationships with dragons, I feel this book would totally resonate with romantasy readers who loved books like Dire Bound, Starside, and In the Veins of the Drowning.

If you're into:
🐉 Dangerous dragons
⚔️ Enemies to lovers
🪺 Cute Baby dragons
💪 A heroine finding her power
🤴 A morally gray prince
🔮 Mysterious magic

... then you've absolutely got to add this one to your list! I am already so excited for Book 2 😊

Check out the Kickstarter campaign to support the release of these two gorgeous special editions! 💕

A huge thank you to the author and her team for the incredible opportunity to read the ARC of Under Restless Skies. I deeply enjoyed this book and will be celebrating the launch this Friday with you all! 💜

The dragons, academy setting, forbidden magic, and enemies-to-lovers tension pulled me in so fast. Mayara was easily one of my favorite parts of the story. I loved that she knew her worth, stood her ground, and didn’t let her feelings completely take over.

And Alayel… I have THOUGHTS. That man is definitely morally gray leaning very dark, and I still don’t fully know how I feel about him, but I also need to know everything that happens next.

The pacing was great, the characters were well written, and obviously the baby dragons had me. I did figure out a couple things before the reveal, but honestly it didn’t bother me at all because I was still completely invested.

And that ending? So good. Everything started clicking into place and now I have even more questions than I did before.

That ending wow!! Ok at first I spent a while trying to figure out what was going to happen but had to put that aside and just go along for the ride. Magic, dragons and mysteries oh my. I feel like there is so much more to explore and discover about this kingdom and all of the players in it. I cant wait for book two!!

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Thank you Day Leitao for this opportunity!

I really enjoyed this book, i read in two sittings! Immediately opening the book, it had me hooked and i did not want to put the book down. i love the prose of the dragons, the academy, and the trials.

Some aspects of the book i felt could’ve had more depth to them, felt a little surface level for my liking: the trials: we only catch a glimpse of the trials and would’ve loved an explanation on why those obstacles are chosen specifically. The dragons: more explaination on their origins and overall their dynamics with the humans. The academy: the founding of the academy, grading systems, felt like the academy portion didn’t have the vibe of a school at all. That being said, the plot, the secrets, and the characters made up for these significantly.

As for the characters, i loved the family dynamic of Maraya, Kaoi, and Laristella. The friendships the FMC, felt surface level but i enjoyed both of the friends personalities.

Overall, i had an amazing time reading this book. If you enjoy dragons, shady academic secrets, and life or death situations, highly recommend this book!

I will be 100% reading the second book!

🌶️🌶️🌶️

First off, I'm a huge fan of Day Leitao. I loved A Cursed Son (Remnants of the Fallen Kingdom) series and it was one of my favorite reads for 2025/2026. When I found out she was starting another series (duet?) in the romantasy realm I pretty much was all in from the get go. Leitao has a beautiful writing style that is fast paced, but still lush in world building and character development.

I LOVED the FMC in this story, Mayara! She is a girls girl, who just tries to do her best. She isn't some mythic warrior who has been trained since birth, or a pampered princess who uses her brain and beauty. She is a cook at a greasy restaurant that puts a roof over her and her brothers head. It isn't glamourous or awe inspiring. Mayara has street smarts and the ability to (mostly) remain calm in a crisis. I like that she uses critical thinking skills and doesn't always turn to the MMC and ask "what do we do now?!" She has big dreams of joining the Sky Guard to protect her kingdom. She's an FMC who has been taught that life in the kingdom is black and white and then it crumbles around her on our journey to find the truth.

Alayel is the MMC and he is deliciously similar to the MMC from Amid Clouds and Bones, Prince Atakan. Morally black- completely unsure where he is going in book 2 and frankly I'M FERAL FOR THIS. The tension between Mayara and Alaysel is dripping off the page- and Alayel is as possessive and coercive as they come. I'm truly excited to see how they end up, I know Leitao will keep me guessing.

Tropes:
- Morally black MMC
- Hurt/ comfort
- Baby dragons
- Possessive MMC
- Sort of enemies to lovers
- Forbidden magic
- Betrayal

I am giving Under Restless Skies a well-deserved 5 stars! I was completely hooked from start to finish, but the absolute highlight of this book is Mayara. She is an incredible protagonist—strong, resilient, and fiercely determined. You can't help but root for her on every single page.

What fascinated me the most was her dynamic with the dragons. The bond she shares with them is beautifully written, but the story makes it clear that there is still so much more to learn about Mayara's true connection to these creatures. I cannot wait to see how this mysterious link develops in the next books and what secrets will be uncovered.

Day Leitao nailed the perfect balance of mystery, breath-taking enemies-to-lovers romance, and rich fantasy world-building. If you love dragon romantasy with a phenomenal heroine, this is a must-read. Bring on the next book!

“To enter the academy, she’ll have to steal from dragons. To survive it, she’ll have to betray the kingdom she once dreamed of protecting.”

I was absolutely blown away by Under Restless Skies. Think Fourth Wing x Divergent x The Compelling Fates Saga. This book is seriously what everyone wants when they say romantasy with dragons. The dragon twist is unlike any other that I have read, which made it all the better. Mayara is such a cool FMC. Shes tough, determined, and willing to do anything for those that she loves, including the kingdom that has never really loved her back. Mayara’s persistence despite repeatedly being told no is one of the things I loved the most about her. Under Restless Skies was such a breath of fresh air in a romantasy genre that is starting to feel slightly cookie cutter. Go check it out on Amazon and Kickstarter now!!

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some bonds are forged in fire. Some are meant to burn it all down.

Enjoyed this eARC from Day Leitao.
Cover art work is gorgeous!!
Enjoyed the academy/military, dragons, and dragon riders aspect. Read this super quick, it’s very easy to read and kept me entertained through most of the story. A bit slow in the middle but man was the ending worth it! Such twists and turns, I’ll be needing book two soon. Not to mention adorable baby dragons!
I do wish that the relationships and friendships had some more development time to them as them felt a little rushed but overall enjoyed the story and will be defiantly continuing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Under Restless Skies was a little tough for me to get into at first, but once it grabbed my attention, it absolutely refused to let go. The pace picked up quickly, and before I knew it, I was completely hooked. I finished the entire book within 24 hours because I needed to know what happened next.

This story is absolutely brimming with lies, betrayal, secrets, and mysteries. Every time I thought I was starting to understand what was really going on, something else happened that had me questioning everything all over again. There are so many layers to unravel, especially when it comes to the academy, the dragons and riders, the magic, and the characters themselves. Trust is definitely in short supply in this book!

I also really enjoyed watching Mayara’s journey unfold. She’s fighting so hard for the future she’s always wanted, only to discover that things may not be nearly as black and white as she’s been led to believe. Add in dragons, forbidden magic, adorable hatchlings, dangerous secrets, a morally gray love interest, enemies-to-lovers tension, and plenty of steam, and I was sold.

The romance and tension were delicious, but it was honestly all of the unanswered questions and mysteries that made this so difficult for me to put down. By the end, I had SO MANY QUESTIONS, and I desperately wanted to keep reading.

And the worst part? Goodness knows when we’re getting book two! 😭 Because after that ending, I am nowhere near ready to leave this world behind.

A thrilling, addictive start to what has the potential to be an incredible romantasy series. I need the next book ASAP! 🐉🔥

Thank you Day Leitao and publisher for providing me with an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ever seen a full grown women toss her kindle in a fit of book rage? Then pick it back up and keep reading because the story is too good and the betrayal is too deep to not keep going? Huh, me either…. Except it was me! The grip this had on my heart?!

Listen. First off.
Read this one. Just. Do. It.

Academy setting. Dragons. Secrets. Reveals. MORE SECRETS. Betrayal. Magic….

Mayara. Strong willed. Big heart. Does what she feels is right. So much more going on here. So much more that we don’t even know yet!

Alayel. Morally charcoal. Charming. Confident. Also, SO MUCH MORE GOING ON.

Like I can’t even say what I really wanna say or I’m going to spoil the story. Grab some tissues. Grab a mothereffing stress ball and hold on, this one is gonna put you thru it.

And the ending?! Rude. 🖤

What happens when everything you’ve dreamed about achieving turns out to be the extreme opposite of everything you’ve been told? Can you blur the lines to your moral beliefs, or will you compromise so much you risk your soul upon death?
The tension and distorted plotlines will have you reeling towards the last ¼ of the book, wanting, no needing the next installment to find out what happens to Mayara, Ava, and Vos.
A must read for those who love romantasy, dragons, magic, warring factions, found family, and lost love.

SUCH a great start to a series. There are dragons, magic, betrayals, and entire kingdoms that the main character has no idea about. Its like ACOTAR and Fourth Wing combined. The main character tries to join an academy so she can train to defend her kingdom against enemy dragon riders but keeps getting unfairly denied. When she uses her crazy good sense of smell to figure out how they were cheating in her trial she gets sent to prison, but is offered a way out of prison and into the academy if she helps the handsome man steal dragon eggs from the enemy kindom of dragon riders.

She agrees and they steal the eggs, but only after she is attacked by a rider and then saed by a dragon. Once she gets home she gets into the academy, but as a cleaner. Eventually she becomes a cadet and starts a relationship with the handsome prince, but he has lots of red flags.

By the end of the book she learns that the guardian dragon of their city has been eating people and she needs to rescue the baby dragons that she has bonded with. But her red flag fiance has betrayed her, and she gets rescued by the dragon rider and is on her way to their kingdom.

This is one of those books that you need to trust the process. It was an interesting and intriguing story. We get to know Mayara and learn about the academy. This book did a great job of setting up the story and introducing the characters. I'm really excited for the next one because I have a feeling it's going to be juicy. This book also did an exceptional job of setting up the villain because I definitely disliked them! I loved little Ava and Vos and hope to see more of them and their brethren in the future.

I really liked Mayara. She was caring and compassionate. I loved her bond with Ava and Vos. Animals always know who to trust and I think Mayara was deserving of that trust. I felt bad because she was having to kind of learn on the fly about everything at the academy and that couldn't have been easy.

Alayel was a little too hot and cold for my tastes. I have no problem if the guy is a jerk the whole time but when they guy is sweet most of the time then flies off the handle over something small, it makes it hard for me to get behind him as a character. Also he just didn't feel like a good match for Mayara, but I was biased because I had already made my choice.

I really enjoyed the intrigue and mystery. Learning about the history of the academy right along with Mayara was fun and added to the suspense. I was very happy towards the end of the book and I'm glad things worked out the way they did. I was rooting for that outcome from the beginning. I'm excited to see where this story is going to go and would recommend it!!

I really enjoyed this one! Between the dragons, the secrets, the political intrigue and the romantic tension, there was plenty to keep me invested, and I found myself constantly questioning who could actually be trusted.

Mayara was such an interesting character. I loved her compassion, her determination and, most of all, how fiercely protective she became of those she cared about. Her relationship with the dragons was easily one of my favourite parts of the book, and I became so emotionally invested in them.

One of the things I particularly enjoyed was Mayara’s character development. I loved watching her gradually recognise her own worth, question what she’d been told and discover what she was willing to fight for. Her experiences and relationships played such an important role in her growth, and I really enjoyed seeing that unfold.

I also loved the exploration of protection versus control, trust and the different forms love can take. There were characters I adored, characters who had me questioning absolutely everything and others who tested every ounce of my patience!

And the romantic tension! I have so many theories and unanswered questions, and I have a feeling all that groundwork is going to deliver a huge payoff in the next book.

That ending, though! Just when I thought I might finally get some answers, I was left desperate for more. I need book two!

WOW, I was hooked from the very beginning and need more! This is the new obsession for every Fourth Wing and dragon fan 🐉 Thank you so much to Day Leitao for the eARC 💜

“I always heard that dragons don’t eat people. What a time to be wrong.“

🐉 Dangerous dragons & riders
🪺 Cute BABY dragons
⚔️ Enemies to lovers
🏰 Dragon rider academy
🤴 Morally gray prince
🔮 Forbidden and mysterious magic
🖤 Secrets, betrayal & hidden motives
🔥 Heroine finding her power

“What are you going to do with the eggs?” He grins. “A huge omelette, obviously.”

The world-building was fantastic, and I loved the intriguing plot and characters that constantly had me questioning whether they really were who they appeared to be, or if there was something more hiding beneath the surface.

“You were staring at me like you were starving and I was a juicy shrimp.”

The FMC is so fierce and strong-willed, and I absolutely loved her connection with the baby dragons. I also can’t wait to find out more about the magic! I felt really connected to her, her story and the people around her. The banter was entertaining and I went back and forth on rooting for romance and screaming at her—amazing! The spice was quite spicy 🤭🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

“I love hearing you say my title. Can you repeat it?”

The stakes are so high, the world is dangerous, and the magic feels so unique. I was always expecting a betrayal or another secret to unfold around every corner. I did foresee quite a few of the plot twists, but I constantly found myself questioning my own theories anyway. That sense of uncertainty was definitely one of the strongest parts of the book, and I loved it!
I honestly didn’t want to stop reading, and now I can barely wait for book two!

“I don’t want pieces of love. I want everything.”

I don't want to be biased, but I love all of Day Leitao's work. I waited for this release impatiently every second since announcement. Now that I have read it thrice and pre-ordered beautiful hardbacks, let's talk about what we are getting.

This is book 1 in the Temptest Dragons Duo, so there is a cliffhanger. Be prepared for that. I knew it was book one of two going in, and I still wasn't prepared for the wreck this left me.

We got dragons.
We got baby dragons, we could always use more baby dragons.
We got dragon academy.
We got hidden forbidden magics.
We got a mmc that raises red flags the second their eyes meet. He's hot, he's cold, he's manipulative af... and I am living for every second of it.

The FMC Mayara had me from the beginning. She failed the trials twice already, but she is ready to try again even if it kills her. When she jumps, she takes my heart with her. She knows what she wants and dgaf what obstacles she has to overcome to get there.

Buckle in, this is a wild magical ride. You will not regret it. Did I mention the dragons?

Thank you to Grimm & Co. and the author for a gifted copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Under Restless Skies is an epic romantasy filled with dark secrets, dangerous magic, and baby dragons! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! It had me hooked right from page 1 and I DEVOURED it. I didn’t want it to end and I am still thinking about it days later. It was unlike anything I have read before and that is so refreshing to say since romantasy lately is all starting to sound the same. It was an amazing journey you need to experience for yourself. I was so invested because I had no idea what was going to happen next and there were plenty of plot twists. One in particular I was not expecting. The baby dragons were everything and added so much to the story. The world building is immersive and it’s easy to get lost in the story and the world. Overall, this is one of my favorite reads this year and to say I’m excited for what’s next is an understatement!

If you love epic romantasy, enemies to lovers, mysterious magic, a morally gray prince, a heroine finding her power, cute baby dragons, gliders x dragons, dangerous dragons, dark secrets, and bonds then I highly recommend checking out this book.

Finished this in less than 24 hours, so clearly I was invested. Sold 4.5 ⭐️

Alayel had me going back and forth the entire time between RED FLAG and “okay wait, maybe there is an explanation for that.” Something about him always felt off, but I could never quite put my finger on it.

So naturally I kept wondering... is he actually bad bad, or is there more going on here?

Oh no.
He bad bad.
And not in the good way.

Mayara never stood a chance at not getting pulled into his orbit. You know those girls with daddy issues and guarded hearts? Give them a man who stays persistent, keeps showing up, and makes it very clear he wants them and we are COOKED.

What I loved about Mayara, though, is that she never completely loses herself in him. She questions, trusts her gut, and knows what she wants from life. I love a badass FMC, and she absolutely delivered.

And the revelations?!
Nothing is what it seems. Every time I thought I had something figured out, another piece shifted. When the Commander made his little declaration, I literally smacked my husband’s arm and yelled, “I KNEW IT.”

Alayel gave me major Tamlin vibes honestly 🤢

And then there is Tauan. I am VERY ready for him to take center stage and see where this series goes next!

I received this book and as ARC 🖤

“One wrong move could end her life. One forbidden bond could claim her heart.”

Baby. Dragons. Need I say more? 😂
This book is an absolute page turner. I flew through it and couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t decide who to trust and it really kept me guessing. Enjoy the plot twists 😈. There are some doozies. And that ending left me staring at the ceiling wishing it wasn’t over yet.

Dracolius is a super interesting place, especially the dangerous Sky Academy. That place is brutal and hiding things. Definitely Fourth Wing vibes, but completely unique.

I like Mayara as the FMC. She’s sometimes naive, sometimes skeptical, and a tough cookie. The prince is suave, swoon worthy and very secretive. He stirred up such a rollercoaster of emotions for me.

🐉Scary dragons
🏰War academy
🔮Forbidden magic
⚔️Enemies to lovers
🌶️Spicy romance
📜Dangerous bargains

Thank you so much for the eARC! Can’t wait for the kickstarter 🤩

Under Restless Skies absolutely BLEW me away. This book was somehow even better than I could have imagined, and I already know waiting for the next one is going to KILL me.

I swear I spent half this book on the edge of my seat. It kept me guessing constantly. I was suspicious of EVERYONE and reached a point where I genuinely had no idea who I could trust. Every time I thought I had something figured out, the story had other plans.

And the baby dragons?! They completely melted my heart. I need one immediately.

Then came the ending... the WHIPLASH. Twist after twist after twist. Just when I thought I could breathe, something else happened. By the time I finished, I was desperate for more and wondering how I'm possibly supposed to wait for the next book.

This is absolutely going to be one of those books I make everyone I know read because I NEED people to experience it with me.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. Easily 5 stars!

This is a fun fast paced romantasy dragon filled read. There are Fourth Wingish vibes but it is completely its own story.

There is a fair amount of world building and set up for a very intriguing series in my opinion

There are a lot of twists and turns that keep you guessing and trying to figure out who can be trusted.

The last 5% of the book left me reeling/slightly wrecked and leaves you with more questions than answers:

The baby dragons stole the show for me and I want one right now.

I will be definitely recommending this to all my fantasy/romantasy loving book girlies!

I got this book as an ARC and I mean… wow!

This book has everything I love; academia, a strong willed FMC, a mysterious MMC, enemies to lovers, obstacles, found family, betrayal, yearning, spice, and most importantly… DRAGONS 🐉

I read this book so fast it might be a record time for me 😂

I was intrigued from the very beginning. I could not put it down. I needed to know what happened next.

There was so much happening but it never got jumbled and confusing. It had me questioning myself and my loyalties the entire time. By the end I knew who was going to flip sides and betray the FMC, I just wasn’t sure how exactly. But omg was I shocked by how it turned out!!! 😱

By the end I was heart broken but hopeful. And I definitely need book 2 like NOW!

You have to read this book it is so good. 10/10 highly recommended. READ IT 🖤📚
