He accused his wife of betrayal.
The truth destroyed him instead.

Melody Carter Winters has spent years learning how to survive in a world that never quite let her belong—married into wealth, judged in silence, and loved by a man she thought saw her clearly.

Until the night he didn’t.

One accusation. One moment of absolute certainty. And suddenly, everything she built, her marriage, her home, her sense of self, shatters.

Alexander Winters has always trusted his instincts. It made him powerful. Untouchable.

And catastrophically wrong.

By the time the truth comes out, Melody is already gone, and he is left with the realization that he didn’t just doubt her.

He chose not to believe her.

Now, with no guarantee she’ll ever come back, Alexander begins the only kind of apology that matters, one with no promise of forgiveness.

Because to win her back, he needs to become a man his wife can trust.

And this time… she’s not sure love is enough.

A deeply emotional, high-angst contemporary romance about distrust, redemption, and a man who must become worthy of the woman he failed to believe—before it’s too late.

This was ok.

I liked the storyline and the characters, but I just wanted more. More angst, more groveling. Just...more. Decent enough for me to check out the next one in the series though. Hopeful it builds on the potential displayed here.

3.5 It just works for me ⭐️ 100% vibe read.

First of all, I love this writer’s word sorcery. Second… the story is too short yet again. Did I love it? I did in a very Harlequin kind of way 😁

Alexander, a billionaire CEO among NYC’s elite, marries Melody a “common” girl from Ohio, after he was briefly engaged to Vivian, the perfectly curated match chosen by his mother, Katherine.
Unsurprisingly, society doesn’t welcome Melody with open arms.

Katherine whispers in the right ears, and soon the gossip spreads, Melody the gold digger.

Melody tries so hard to fit in. She dresses the part, says the right things, endures the constant, cutting remarks. And Alexander lets it happen or simply dismisses it as trivial.

One day, she asks him if he truly believes she loves him for who he is. He hesitates, just for a second, but it’s enough. 💔
That hesitation shatters her, because somewhere deep down, he might believe the rumors.

A work engagement takes Melody to a hotel. Alexander finds out, but not the full story. He’s furious with her believing she has an affair. He refuses to listen, choosing instead to trust whatever his investigation turned up. His prejudice outweighs his trust in her… or even the basic decency of hearing her out.

When Melody returns home, Alexander is gone.
And the housekeeper is packing her suitcase…

Listen I ate this short story for dessert. It’s not without flaws but it’s sweet, mature and touching with an evil mother law and husband who needs to grow up.

Should you read? Yes of course it’s a palate cleanser. My feelings did engage, but not dramatically.

Chance of divorce? 1 % I believe they did the necessary work.

I liked the angst; it wasn't OTT, but it was there. I also remember reading another book from this author where I also liked the angst, but this book and that book are both novella-length. These stories would've been so much more enjoyable for me had they been a bit longer to explore more of the MCs' emotions, backgrounds, and development.

Into the story, the problem seems to be the moment when the MMC accused the FMC of cheating. When in reality, it was just the boiling point of a two-year culmination of unresolved tensions, miscommunications, expectations, and fragile trust between them.

Anyway their romance is like something out of a fairy tale. A small-town girl falls for a man who’s actually a billionaire and ends up marrying him. Obviously, people have a lot to say about their pairing, mostly from the MMC's circle (his mom and ex-fiancée), and they're not always kind.

Still, they have managed to maintain their marriage, or at least that's how it appears. But while they're doing their best to ignore what others think about their relationship, it seems those subtle comments about the FMC are starting to pile up in the back of the MMC's mind. Added in his trust issues due to his parents' dysfunctional relationship.

So when the opportunity rose for him to pull out every assumption he had made, along with his baggage, he didn’t hesitate to use it. Even though he only has half-assed proof to back up his claim. He wasn't even mad when he did that; in fact, he was annoyingly calm, but his words sure hurt as they struck a chord deep within her.

"I think," he said, slowly, "that you are a woman who came from very little, and married into a great deal. And it still wasn’t enough.”

When he was proven wrong, he went up to her and gave a somewhat robotic apology, as if the situation were merely a minor business setback rather than him accusing his wife of infidelity. Ngl, not sure how I'd feel if this would happen to me.

Anyway, she didn't come back with him, as she should. She stayed with her sister for a few weeks, I think. Tbh, the timeline wasn't really clear on how long they were separated. When he went to "apologize," she realized some things and told him she couldn't live like that anymore and wanted a divorce.

Long story short, they didn't divorce. Obviously, this is their story. As for his efforts to make amends, his apology was him texting her daily about the things he loved about her. Making her foundation independent from his company and from his name. And finally calling out his mom for being an awful MIL and setting up boundaries with her—I mean, two years too late, but better than never, I suppose.

The MIL also apologized to the FMC, and I think she was sincere. I hope she is, because as said in the epilogue, she's finally building a good relationship with both MCs.

That said, I guess it all depends on the readers if they're going to believe the couple in this book. Idk if I'm going to root for them or not. I don't have much background info about them, so idk how they started. Just like in the last book I read by this author, readers are thrown into the problem right away, and there wasn't much flashback about the MCs before they got married. There are a few glimpses of the past here and there, but they still aren't enough to make me see them as individuals.

Overall, a short angsty read to pass some time.

Weeeeelll… not to be a victim blamer, but if I found my hubs in a hotel room with another woman, I would absolutely lose my shit and make assumptions too. Like… who does that?! It was weird and screams sketchy.

Overall, kind of emotionless considering the subject. They reminded me of the English royal family. Wealth, breeding, underhanded ‘compliments’, and keeping a stiff upper lip. Doesn’t make for the most exhilarating read.

The MMC had serious family trauma (who doesn’t) and that tainted his relationship. He was a good guy underneath it all who really did love his wife. The texts were super sweet.

Overall quick read with mild gut punch and sweet resolution.

I thought at times the inner dialogue was too much. Their POVs kept repeating the same things over and over again. I did enjoy the book. I honestly didn’t think the betrayal was *that* bad (but I just read one before this where a mom slept with the heroine’s husband) THE BAR IS SET LOW. 🙃

(Possible spoilers ahead)

Basically, h is married to a robot. But he’s a billionaire robot. Like….hero is very robotic in everything he does. Like most billionaires, they are worried about that “gold digger” who comes out like a horror book fairy during a full moon or something- to ruin their lives and take all their money. I guess none of these heroes know about prenups. 🤷‍♀️

For some bizarre reason, h keeps letting the hero drag her to these galas even though people treat her like garbage. She keeps letting his mom and his ex girlfriend make little nasty comments about her.
(I’m no billionaire and I don’t hang out at galas, but let that be me and we are turning a gala into a Jerry Springer episode. There’s no way I could stand there and let two 🗑️ women talk smack about me….and that probably explains why I don’t have a billionaire 😇)

The betrayal- h has some meeting in a motel room with OM. It’s a totally innocent meeting. H sees A, jumps over B & C, and just comes up with D all on his own. HE’S WRONG! He kind of calls her a gold digger, then he rushes to have his maid pack all her stuff. 😱 He basically throws her out. Jokes on him though, because she didn’t take anything he bought her (fancy clothes and jewelry) she just took her jeans and sweaters…and her plant. Girrrl 🙇‍♀️ TAKE ALL THE FANCY STUFF. *eye roll*

Anyway, the next day, hero discovers he was wrong. He goes to see her and he attempts some pathetic apology. It’s was bad. 😂😂
His POV
————-
“He had not been a husband who looked up. He had been a husband who believed he was the kind of husband who looked up, which was not the same thing.”

“He did not, in that moment, feel anything he would have called grief. He did not feel anything he would have called shame”
—————-

The heroine does not accept his apology, and she wants a divorce. Or does she?
I think they are only separated for about a week or two. Hero has a lot of inner dialogue. He starts texting her messages on WHY he loves her. They were sweet. It was nice that he finally stood up to his mom. Idk how I feel about mom being the one to talk to the heroine. I would’ve never let her in my house. 🤷‍♀️

I feel like in the grand scheme of betrayal books, this was a mild betrayal. I kept expecting OW to play some messy part, but she didn’t…except the one tiny moment she offered the hero smex. Hero thought about it for a second, then was quickly like NO. (Seriously, his POV thought about how easier it would be to be with OW since she was from the same billionaire’s club)

It’s 2026, so the gold digger plots don’t make such sense to me anymore. Billionaires have ALL the advantages and they put very little on the line anymore. There was zero evidence that the heroine was a gold digger or cheater. They have been married for 2 years and she did nothing that would make him jump to the conclusion he did.

If you love betrayal books for the boost of rage they give you, then you probably won’t feel that here. This hero just needed a BFF to tell him to get his head out of his arse.

This story has a very "Harlequin Romance" feel to it, but it just missed the mark for me. It has the bones to be a great story, but the prose was very flowery and I didn't actually feel the emotions or the connection of the main couple. The Hero's mother was cold and distant, but not as wicked or cruel as Harlequin MILs usually tend to be. She even apologizes for the shitty things she did in the past. The Hero is a dumbass who jumps to conclusions (understandable how), but he can't properly apologize as soon as he discovers he was wrong. The heroine walks after being accused wrongly, but I dunno. I just didn't feel sad for either one of them. Or outraged at the accusation. There's grovel, but still. I just didn't really care if they got back together or not.

4.0. Rated R. Contemporary Romantic short

I am fascinated by this author. The style of writing. If it is a description of a dark room, you can feel the stillness and the quiet. The words are poetry.
Emotions. My heart hurts.
Loved it. I will be reading more.

I loved the texts he sent

He sent texts to her, after his colossal stupidity, that were called Reasons Why I Love You and they were wonderful. Nothing over the top, not even romantic, just things she did that he remembered. This was after she left him for accusing her of infidelity. He really messed up. He ran with.only half of the details. Before they were confirmed made a tragic mistake. She was a strong heroine and I really loved her personality. Just everything about this was good. Except for the things he said to her when he confronted her, half cocked. HR was very regretful but his first attempt at reparation was just lame. Very mechanical and not apologetic at all. He got better. And the epilogue was unicorns and rainbows and babies! No cheating at all.

The Wife He Accused was about Melody (Carter) Winters and her husband, Alexander Winters.

Melody (who "came from nothing") and Alexander (who was born into generational wealth) had been married for two years. Although they had both confessed their love for one another, it was always apparent that Alexander often held something back. He rarely spoke up whenever someone took a dig at his wife, and he hardly ever corrected the other person.

When Alexander accidentally read a text message to Melody from another man, he waited for her to mention it., but since she never did, he had the man investigated. Alexander didn't wait for the full report to come through, and having been given a partial report, he went to confront his wife. What he found only confirmed to him that Melody was cheating on him, so he made arrangements with the housekeeper to have her things packed.

It wasn't until the following afternoon that the full report came in, proving what is wife told him was true and he had wrongly accused her. When he tried to apologize, she said she was filing for a divorce. The rest of the story was how he tried to win her back.

The book had plenty of angst, a touch of drama, and the usual emotional rollercoaster. It also had a bit of conflict, but the most interesting fact about this book was how the author took that conflict and turned it around for the better.

While both main characters were well developed and mature, most of the growth was done off page. What growth was done for the reader to experience was quite interesting...and not at all typical, but made the book all the better.

I gave this book a solid four star rating because it was that good

1. After Alexander realized how wrong he had been when he accused Melody of having an affair, all he felt was a “small professional discomfort”????
2. What did Angelica “see” in the middle of Melody’s wedding vows?
3. Rivera brought Alexander the file on Melody at 4:51. Alexander didn’t go to see Melody until 7:23 and yet Alexander said, “I came here as soon as I had the full picture.”
4. When Melody said she wanted a divorce, Alexander’s reaction was, “Very well. I think you’re making a mistake.” Seriously??? I’d divorce him just for that.
5. Alexander’s conversation with the director of the literacy program made no sense.
“May I sit in on a session?”
“Of course. If you don’t mind being unobtrusive.”
“I won’t be.”
6. Alexander was so robotic I honestly didn’t care if they got back together.

Notes for me

Alexander - old family money.

Melody - modest family. Runs a foundation.

Alexander and Melody cared about each other in their marriage. He would stand with her at galas.

Typical everyone saw her as a gold digger or not good enough. She didn’t fit in.

She asks him “If you had met me in another time without the Winter’s name, would you believe I love you?” He paused before he answered yes. They both felt something had changed.

Problem starts when Alexander sees a text preview on her phone “Tonight still works. Same place” He doesn’t open her phone to see context or tell her he saw it. She doesn’t tell him about it. It moves like poison through his system.

At 16 he found out his mom had lived an entire second life while married to his dad. Affairs, separate finances, etc. it scarred him.

Melody has a meeting with David, a consultant for her foundation, and a rich benefactor. This gentleman put a lot of contingencies in place to donate. This donation would fund part of the foundation for 3 years. The situation did not look good when Alexander showed up.

She’s alone in a hotel room with David.
He insisted on wine so it’s been poured into two glasses.
He hasn’t arrived yet.

Alexander (understandably) jumps to the wrong conclusion. Tells her “I think you are a woman who came from very little, and married into a great deal. It still wasn’t enough.”

He had his PI look into this before he showed up. It did look suspicious. He kicks her out of his apartment. 21 hours later he gets the full PI report and realizes he read everything so wrong.

I appreciated how he worked to make himself a better person and realize why he acted that way. He did things for her that truly made a difference.

Lovely…

This is a husband that was shaped by something that happened when he was sixteen. And he has carried that with him ever since, and that caused him to accuse his wife.

She is not from wealth, and she learned how to be a real person growing up. Her husband learned control of his emotions. He’s so analytical that he’s practically robotic in public, and it’s only when they are out of the city that he relaxes some.

Anyway, he completely misunderstands something and she has finally understood what she’s been viewed as by the people around her, including him. She wants no part of it. He basically kicked her out and she goes to her sister’s place. He finally gets the complete investigation that he had done, and of course she was telling the truth.

He has to work on himself…

KU read and this is really good. No cheating which was wonderful. The ex tries to tempt him and he ignores her gambit. His mother tries to set him up with the ex again and he flat out says no. If nothing else, it was worth it to see a man who loves his wife and refuses temptation. Nicely done.

At first I was eating this book up because I love a marriage in trouble honestly and I wanted to see where this would go wrong. But after I knew what their breaking point was I was left with the writing to keep me going which is not very good. It’s trying way too hard to be profound and important and often I don’t even know what she’s trying to say, shit doesn’t make sense and it annoyed the fuck out of me lol. Also I didn’t like that him winning her back was through other people and not him ever really asking haha it was just weird and not fulfilling in the way I wanted it to be. I love an asshole husband but the grovel must be good and this was not. So this short novella ended up taking way too long to finish 😪 I am on vacation though and frankly I just had better things to do, but if this had been interesting I could’ve found the time for such a short book, but oh well. It’s done 🙏

Well written story, great editing. MMC is typical rich guy responsible for family legacy and who has very little trust in anyone else. Marries his soul mate who is not from his society circle or wealth level and allows their toxicity and his parent's past to make him insecure about his wife. Common trope but well done in this story. Especially liked how both main characters dealt with the H's mother.

Likely AI

I'm pretty sure this book is AI. Whatever it is it was very unsatisfying. The FMC forgives way to easy, with 2 sex scenes. It was a short read, but not the pallette cleanser I was looking for.

MMC makes no sense!

If the mmc was so traumatized by what his mother did to his father why did he take his mother’s side. Why did he keep her in his life and have nothing to do with his father. In fact where in the world was his father? He is only mentioned to justify his so called trauma and then never mentioned again.

The Wife He Accused de M.L. Hall

Argumento:

2.5✯

-dual POV
-married couple (almost 2 years)
-no cheating, but the H thinks his wife is cheating on him
-short separation (around a week)
-no real ow drama - while the MCs were separated the H's ex-fiancée sent him a text inviting him for drinks, she told him she was going to wear something 'distracting', for a second there he considered her proposition but he ended up deleting her text
-pathetic weak heroine - she forgave him too quickly, I didn't like that she went to see him to tell him she forgave him
-imo the hero didn't grovel enough
-everything the hero did and said to the h he blamed on childhood traumas
-epilogue: 1 year later -married with a baby on the way
----------------
She took her hand off the chair. "You don't believe me." "Don't make this about —" "Look at me, Alexander. Look at my face. I am telling you the truth.” His face did not change. "Oh my God," she said softly. "You don't believe me." "I am asking you a reasonable question." "You are not asking me anything." Her voice was shaking now, not with tears, with something colder than tears. "You came here with an answer."

********
"I think," he said, slowly, "that you are a woman who came from very little, and married into a great deal. And it still wasn’t enough.” There it was. Melody had been waiting for it. She understood that she had been waiting for some version of that sentence since entering Alexander’s world. She had just not known it would come out of her husband's mouth.

********
"You made a decision about me. You decided that the version of me your mother and Vivienne and the woman in emerald and every person in that ballroom has been whispering to you about for the better part of two years was more real than the version of me you married. And then another man handed you a document, and he told you I was telling the truth, and that was the part you believed."

********
"When I stood in front of you in that suite and I told you the truth, you decided the version of me you had already built in your head was more real than anything I was saying with my own mouth." "Melody." "You believed your PI, Alexander. You didn't believe me. You believed him. That is the entire architecture of my marriage. That is what I have been living in without having the words for it. Last night you finally gave me the words, and this afternoon you confirmed them. Tonight you came here to deliver an apology that was not an apology. It was a correction. You corrected the record. You came here to correct the record and take me home."

********
"I came here as soon as I could." "I know you did, Alexander. And I am telling you that the as soon as I could is the part of this I am going to remember for the rest of my life. Because as soon as I could was after Rivera. As soon as I could was after the file. As soon as I could was not as soon as you told me. I told you in the suite. I told you with my own mouth. And you did not come home last night. You did not come home at all. You called Agnes and you told her to pack a bag for me, and then you came here because Rivera had given you permission to believe me."

********
"I love you, Melody. I love you more than I have ever loved another human being. I trust you. I trust you without the file. I trust you without Rivera. I trust you without anyone else in the room to verify you. I am never going to make you stand in a room again and wait for another man to tell me you were telling the truth before I would believe you. I am going to spend the rest of my life being the husband who believed you the first time, and I am going to make mistakes learning how to be him, and I am asking you —I am asking you to know that if you ever do come home, the marriage you come home to is not the marriage you left. The marriage I am offering, if you ever want it, is to a man who trusts you with his whole heart.”

This book is geometric, in a beautiful way, like those paintings where every straight line is exactly where it should be, no excess strokes, no splatter, no imprecision.
I liked it, I am a STEM kind of lady.
I think I have never read a book where every sentence is so perfectly balanced, analogies are catchy and delivered with the minimum amount of words, never babbling, never long descriptions just because “I am the author, I can, and I want to write 5 lines on the right shade of yellow”. Every detail provided is functional to the story. Which makes sense considered that it is a novella. But, after the initial surprise and awe at the author’s skill, it became a bit overwhelming at times. I felt like I had to keep my focus on every word as I did not want to miss the next perfect phrase and its implications.

I liked the story: I am not a fan of second chance romance, especially if the couple is already married, but this one was interesting. Maybe the novella length made it more manageable for me.
I wish I had known how they knew each other and fell in love: the reasons why Alexander loved Melody were made super clear, but how did he fall for her in the first place? It was hard to figure out how they got there.

While the final apology provides an explanation, it felt like Alexander made 1 year of psychotherapy progress in one week and all by himself with such a clear vision that he delivered his reasons and how he overcame them pronto with no doubt neither faltering. That seemed a bit too easy and quick, especially considering that his reasons go back to when he was 16.

I was initially going for 3.5 stars rounded up, but I let it stew and went for 3, because the dialogues just did not sit right with me. I would say there are less than 10 lengthier conversations, of which maybe 6 are important for the character’s development. 2 at the beginning (the question at the gala and the hotel), then when Melody’s sister told her about “the words in the right order”, Alexander going back to Melody, Alexander’s ultimatum to Catherine, Catherine’s to Melody and the final apology.
Most of them started with “I’ll say this and then I’ll go” and then they talk almost in bullet points, deliver the punchline and leave the room. The listener (usually Melody) says almost nothing.
While it was nice to read (again, the beautiful geometry), it didn’t ring true. How many interactions have you seen where one is complaining or giving advice to the other and the other just….. listens? No objections, no buts, no expressed opinions and most of all no verbalised emotions.
It was a bit unsettling to imagine Melody’s and Alexander’s world like this. They seemed like cyborgs going through the motions, controlling tears, laughs, words. It was beautifully written but, in the end, too orderly, aseptic, too “un-messy” considered the messy situation. It made me not like the characters anymore, I wouldn’t want to have a Christmas dinner with them, except for maybe asking Melody how she built the literary program from a line in the Board of Directors (Eating with the characters is a thing I ask myself when I test how much I like the theme).

[added after: I read someone’s review mentioning AI. Maybe that’s why it feels so “geometric” and “un-messy”. Wow!]

Again, it's the same scenario.

A poor heroine marries a rich hero. Problems arise, she leaves, he grovels, and eventually the conflict is resolved when the hero completely changes his lifestyle to fit hers. And somehow, that's supposed to be the happily-ever-after.

What I don't understand is: why do authors keep pairing their heroines with wealthy men if their ideal version of happiness is always a simple, middle-class life? If that's what the heroine truly wants, why not let her fall in love with a good man who already shares her values and lifestyle?

It feels like these stories constantly portray wealth as the problem and the solution as the hero abandoning parts of his world to adapt to hers. Why can't authors show a couple finding happiness within the same circumstances they started with? Why not write a story where both characters grow, compromise, and build a life together without one person having to completely reinvent himself?

At this point, the formula feels repetitive: rich hero, lifestyle conflict, separation, grovel, personality overhaul, HEA. I'd love to see a fresh take on the trope instead of the same story with different character names.

This was a very emotional and frustrating read at times.

The FMC is accused and blamed by the person who is supposed to trust her the most, and watching her deal with that heartbreak and humiliation was honestly hard to read. A lot of the pain in this story comes from feeling abandoned and judged by the people who should have stood by her.

The MMC made me angry for a good part of the book because instead of communicating and trying to understand the situation, he jumps to conclusions and lets accusations damage everything between them.

What kept me reading was the FMC. She does not completely fall apart even though she is deeply hurt. You can see her slowly realizing her worth and understanding that she deserves trust and respect.

Tropes:

Marriage in trouble
False accusations
Betrayal and mistrust
Groveling MMC
Emotional angst
Hurt heroine
Second chance romance

Overall, this was heavy on the emotions and frustration, but if you like angst and relationship fallout with eventual healing, this one fits that vibe.

The Wife He Accused

M. l. Hall is a new author for me. I really enjoyed the story because it really portrayed the internal feelings of the two main characters beautifully. Melody came from a poor but loving family, while her husband grew up in a very wealthy family of privilege. Despite the fact that they really love each other, the disparity of their backgrounds has left Melody constantly trying to measure up to the expectations of his world. When a situation occurs that causes Alexander to believe that Melody is cheating on him, he quickly decides he doesn't believe her explanation and basically throws her out of their apartment. As a result, they both realise that they have both been somewhat acting as a happily married couple when in actuality there were cracks in the foundation of their marriage. What follows is the journey back to a marriage they both want to save. This was a quick read but a really enjoyable story.

What a great read!

The title is cheesy, but as this is my trope I thought I would give it a chance but didnt expect much. But oh, what a surprise! This is a well written novella, and despite being a short story, the characters are well developed and the storyline flowed beautifully and did not come accross cheesy at all. I loved the main charactors, bothe mature and despite the fall out it was lovely to see how they truly loved each other. I especially loved the way the author was able to show the hero's remorse and how he went from his usual stoic behavior to being vulnerable and emotional, as he came to realise his mistake in accusing the heroine of infidilety. It touched all the right spots for me how the hero redeemed himself. I am looking forward to read more from this author.

This was so captivating. A very wealthy man marries a common woman. She had so much to adjust to in living with elites that she continually felt ostracized never measuring up. Her husband had his own issues from his upbringing that led to his suspicions of his wife's behavior. He kicked her out having witnessed what he thought was infidelity. She left. When he realized his mistake he came to bring her home not realizing the depth of betrayal that had occurred. She took a stand and refused to live that pretentious lifestyle anymore. And so the story begins... it was delicious. From the stand she took to the stand he finally took with himself and his mother in realizing what he had done. Well worth the read and re-read.

lovely story.

Who knew a novella could make me cry so much? I truly loved the story. Both the MMC and the FMC won my heart from the very beginning. You could tell they both loved each other, even though there was something wrong. The grovel was appropriate for the crime.

But I want to talk about the writing. The writing was beautiful. This authors style is almost poetic in its prose. It would not have worked for a full length novel. It would’ve been too flowery. Perhaps she could’ve cut down on the metaphors a bit and she could stand to hire a copy editor for minor mistakes. But regardless, I found the writing overall to be very evocative and lovely for this story. Really brought out the characters feelings for one another.

I feel like there should be some type of book legislation that would require publishers to indicate if books are AI or AI assisted…idk just an idea. I guess book graphic covers are a clue of that for now lol
This was for me devoid of emotion of course and words would pop up in the dialogue that just were clear indicators (for me ) that it was AI assisted ( - like who hasn’t run an email through ChatGPT before sending it out and prompt it to level up the vocab), it was repetitive, and blah.
I wish real life authors would take note of my prefaces in tropes and write books accordingly (rejected mate, ow drama , throw some good banter in them, cheating adjacent angst, and floor licking grovel) lol 100% these book would fly off the shelves 😄
Anyway, I digress - this book was not for me.
