I purchased this book under the impression that it was going to focus on the perspectives of Djaara people in terms of how we can heal ‘upside down country’.
It is admittedly my fault that I didn’t do further research to understand the lens of this book.
I was disappointed with the amount of First Nations content that was in the book as there was only a small amount which I felt was lacking in Djaara perspectives.
There were some interesting points made and I will always appreciate a book written about regional Victoria and the area where I grew up.
