Caso Policía Busca Chica (Váter Edition): hay que concederle algunas cosas (lo del periódico es un poco excesivo), pero en general funciona bien y plantea un misterio bastante grande por la cercanía de Takagi a la víctima. Que Sato sea tan misteriosa con respecto a sus sentimientos por Takagi ayuda a vender su relación.
Caso Mucho Detective y Poco Kaito: esperaba más de la gran reunión de detectives de Japón. Aunque el caso tiene todo el sentido del mundo, creo que lo del cianuro es un riesgo demasiado grande y que la aparición de Kaito es más bien anecdótica, incluso irresoluta. ¿Qué sucede al final con la mansión? De cualquier manera, esta es la primera mención de Renya Karasuma y, en retrospectiva, vuelve todo más misterioso. ¿Se relacionará esa mansión con la Organización?
Caso ¿Es Genta Estúpido?: pues eso, me parece que lo de Genta casi amnésico resulta muy conveniente para la trama. De los casos más olvidables, si bien la resolución tiene su gracia.

This came so close to five stars, with a great Takagi-Sato sequence and a crazy gathering of detectives. But the stories of George's stalker and the pottery class weren't quite strong enough a finish. That's okay, though; anything with the Kaito Kid is gonna be a tough act to follow!

Salapoliisi Conan on kyllä yksi suurimmista suosikeistani mangasarjojen joukossa. Vaikka periaatteessa taustatarina ja osa rikoksen ratkaisemiseen liittyvistä asioista ovat puhdasta fantasiaa, on tarinat muuten varsin uskottavia ja itse rikoksen selvittely mielenkiintoista.
Pidän eniten tässä sarjassa siitä, että tässä kuten Agatha Christien kirjoissa, lukijalle annetaan myös mahdollisuus ratkaista rikos. Ajoittain kyllä haastetta tuo Japanin kulttuurin ja kielen tunteminen, mutta se on vain osassa tapauksia. Kuvitus on myös niin yksityiskohtaista ja uoeaa, että se tekee tarinan seuraamisesta mielekästä.
Sivulauseena on sanottava, että olen lukenut näitä nyt 30 kappaletta enkä vieläkään ole sarjan puolivälissä. Mutta! Pakko myös sanoa, että edelleen tarinat ovat luovia eivätkä toista itseään. Joitakin ns. takaumia vanhoihin juttuihin on ajoittain, mutta melko harvakseen sitäkään.

*Note this volume ends in a cliffhanger!
This volume was a roller coaster for me x'D It started off a bit slow, went absolutely insane in the middle, then chilled out there at the end. It's a fun, and very unique lol, addition to the series though.
Case 1: While making their way home back to Tokyo on the bullet train, Conan, Rachel, and Richard run into Sato and Takagi, transporting a criminal informant. After a quick panic over a fake bomb threat, the group discover the informant dead in the bathroom. Was it suicide? Or was someone not wanting him to speak?
Pretty standard case with this one. I enjoyed the side plot with Takagi though, poor guy x'D
Case 2: Richard, bringing Rachel and Conan along, is called to join a group of other detectives at a large mansion to solve an old mystery. However the mansion has a haunted past in which the host intends to have the detectives reenact. Can they solve the mystery and escape before it's too late?
Having such an insane case after your typical one was massive whiplash omg. Twists were so left and right, I thought I was watching a soap opera! Even the ending was like omg wtf? lmao.
Okay, so opening the door for dinner and seeing the person dressed up...that way...I know it wasn't meant to be taken that way, this is a Japanese author, but as someone from the US reading this...oh no xD Also, not all the guests in the backstory going bloodthirsty insane because they smoked weed. ;o; x'D
I have no idea how to feel after reading this one, it was so random. I guess it was a fun ride? xD I think it started off stronger than how it ended. I didn't mind the ruse, but the /drama/ of it all and the surprise guest had me like, idk, this is just overkill. ^^;
Case 3: Genta is acting strangely, causing all of the Detective Kids to confront him for answers. He confesses that he had been a witness to a crime and caught the attention of the criminal, who now seems intent on killing him.
This one was pretty cute as far as Detective Kids stories go. I liked seeing them all genuinely care for Genta (other than the fat jokes) and them devise a plan together to keep him safe. How Conan got to the conclusion is once again ridiculous to me, haha, but still entertaining regardless xD
Case 4: Serena and Rachael, and a Conan who snuck along, join in a pottery class. However, behind the scenes, the studio's master and owner takes the life of his son-in-law. Can Conan put the clues together to catch the killer? (Shh, of course he can, but it's all in how it plays out, you know? :P)
It's always cute seeing the girls together. I also love love love Serena and her boyfriend. She's grown up a lot since the start of the series, and it's so sweet. (Our poor Rachel though, has like a million more volumes to go before maybe getting with her man. x'D) I love the idea of a pottery date with them though! More girl time please <3
It can be hit or miss sometimes for me when we know right off the bat who the criminal is, but it works for me with this one. It's a cliffhanger in this volume, so we don't yet know how he pulled it off, but I'm curious for Conan to break it all down for us in the next one :)
I think the last two cases were a nice cool-down after that middle, haha. Till volume 31!

The first story in this volume deals with a murder on the train. There could be a number of suspects, but it quickly becomes apparent that it is one of 3 individuals on the train. Conan assists the detectives in figuring out the murderer. This story absorbs roughly 25% of the volume and I found it very rewarding. The second story is a scenario that I felt was bound to happen. What occurs when you invite a bunch (6) of the most skilled detectives in the world together in an old mansion to solve a mystery? You get this exciting story of Case Closed!!! The next story involves the Junior Detectives…and specifically one of their own is being targeted to be murdered!?! George is fearful for his life and with good reason. In terms of usual length, this is a shorter story but to me, it’s a fun one that’s a little different and so it made it more engaging. Finally we have a story involving Rachel, Conan and Serena attending a pottery class. Lo and behold a murder occurs. This story is much different in it’s approach as you know the killer upfront, but ultimately just as rewarding to see Conan deduce what occurred. This volume doesn’t see the conclusion of the tale, but I would not exactly call it a cliff-hanger wither since you know who the killer is. Overall this was another solid volume of detective work!

I know I don't talk about this series on a personal level. It's hard to recommend and any additional details feels like spoilers. I do plan on rereading at least the first five or so volumes in the future, explaining more on why the series is great while underrated (has a big fandom but not a big following outside Japan). It's a personal goal of mine to do one day. For now I'll stay brief on any new (first time reading) volumes :)
For some reason I rambled on this one. Sorry about that.
As someone who has read farther down the series, I appreciated some of the moments--potential characters in this instance--that are hinted to play more of a bigger part of the series. For me, since I watch the anime and have seen some of these earlier mysteries, their gonna be some that won't stick with me while others I'm excited to revisit. This volume is one of those cases where I did enjoy it but can easily be overlook besides certain events.

With a follow-up case involving a train "open locked room" murder case featuring Detectives Takagi and Sato, Conan scrambles to solve the case before the train gets to Tokyo or the murderer will evade capture.
The main case involves six eccentric master detectives invited to Sunset Manor, the site of a gruesome massacre and mystery treasure, by none other than Phantom Thief Kid! A game of survival is afoot as Conan and the others must race to uncover the mystery before history repeats itself and the night ends in another bloody slaughter.
The final complete case within the volume centers around George's sudden strange behavior, Conan and the other members Junior Detective League work to help George and even solve an ongoing local criminal investigation. Ending vol. 30 is a murder case set in a pottery studio where Conan must find the evidence the prove who really was the killer...

The first case with the restaurant wasn't all the impressive. I wish that there'd been more to it, because it felt kind of rushed storywise. On the other hand, I think the mansion case was the best of the volume. I kind of liked the setup with all the different detectives, and I'm 95% sure that all of them were referenced from other literature. The old woman and the overweight man made me think of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. But I have no idea where other detective characters were referenced from. I will say that I wasn't a fan of the ending of the case and I'm also not the biggest fan of Kaito Kid being a recurring character.
Then there was another kid case, and they are still not my favourite. Lastly, the pottery case seem meh, but I am curious to see how the murder was set up.
The mansion case really pulled most of the weight of this volume.

Case 2: Quiet some detectives are invited to solve a 50 year old case. One after the other dies and Kogoro is shot in the chest. Conan vanishes and somehow Kaito Kid is involved. One of the best cases until now.
Case 3: Someone tries to kill Genta because he saw a criminal. But Genta cannot recall where he saw him to solve the case
Case 4: the beginning of a case where someone is murdered in a closet and all the clues point directly at one persodn. However Conan has a clue that there might be a trick involved to get the victima dn the suspect out of the way.

The first three cases - Takagi and Sato, then Kaito Kid, then Genta's mystery - were absolutely fabulous. The pottery case is a little less exciting.

This was another very solid volume in this mystery manga series. It is hard to discuss the story without spoiling things, so let it best be said that the mystery was well plotted and the reveal genuinely surprising. I continue to be satisfied with this series.

This one has an absurd and entertaining closed-loop mystery that has all the best things: a mysterious secluded mansion, a group of famous detectives, a hidden treasure, a phantom thief, and a 40 year old unsolved case.

In the first chapters it feels like a horror thriller. I liked both the flap of the story and the appearance of "Kaito Kid". The chapters dedicated to Sato and Takagi were pleasant. I think Aoyama will never let us see the climax of their love story. Jenta protagonist and cunning.

Magari non mi ricordo tutti i casi che Conan risolve, però la serie continua a farsi leggere con piacere. C'è sempre una variazione sul tema (riunione di detective, casi con i piccoli, casi normali) e quindi la lettura non è mai noiosa.

LOVE LOVE LOVEEE I'm not sure if I'm correct with some of the parody characters but I'm sure one character is inspired by Miss Marple and the other one is Nero Wolfe. The Sunset Manor was a fun mystery albeit a little rushed and convoluted for my liking. Love the other mysteries here too!

Lots of fun. We go to a mansion and it was kind of like Clue, but was over too fast and the ending was kind of cheesy. Still, the return of Kaito Kid was bound to happen sooner rather than later.

#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!

As suspicions rise, the name on their invitations suggests the infamous Kaitou Kid may be involved. Genta’s strange behavior at school—hiding under his futon, skipping meals, and evading unseen pursuers—raises alarms among his friends. When confronted, he reveals a chilling truth: someone is trying to kill him. His fears are justified as he recounts near-fatal encounters—footsteps stalking him in a tunnel, being pushed off a bridge, and a flaming car nearly running him down. Just as he shares his ordeal, a massive bolt suddenly crashes near them, sending a store’s "BAKER" sign plummeting toward the group. *KAITO KID KNOWS THAT SHINCHI IS ACTUALLY CONAN? or because when he noticed the watch?*
1. i have to say i enjoyed the first case about the suspectt being killed (i only loved the development in Sato & Takagi life !)
2. all famous detectives? solving a riddle from 40 years ago? SIGN ME UP!
3. i thought the blonde guy with the falcon was kaito kid in disguise but plot twist— kaito kid always surprises me
4. when conan figured out the riddle (the clock) that has happened before way before probably in volume 20 or 21.
5. i was astonished when it turns out that THE ENTIRE MANSION was made of solid gold.
6. the next case was nice, but i wish we had more highlight on SATO AND TAKAGI!!
7. the last case related to that old case THE ONE ABOUT THE FAMOUS POTTER! i love when that happens

Probably one of my favourite parts of Detective Conan is that each case is different. Each case is a stand alone which makes it more entertaining and gripping than a very long case. Perhaps this episodic nature is why I can't seem to bring myself to give the volumes a five star.
This volume brought more of the Takagi and Sato pairing. The opening case involves a criminal being transported in the hands of Takagi and Sato on a train. Of course, our hero Conan was there to help sort out a murder on the train of the criminal.
The next case was one of a group of detectives invited to a mansion by 'Kaito Kid'. There they played a 'game' where one detective was killed off one after another. This was a well written case in particular.
The third case was surprisingly short. Genta was being watched by someone and it was up to the detective boys to find out who! I'm not much of a fan of the Detective boy's cases as they feel too childish.
The final case was related to pottery. Ran and Sonoko (and later Conan) went to take pottery classes when a man is murdered in the shop. Conan suspects the murderer but must gather evidence.
