I genuinely enjoyed this book! Tho I did have trouble getting into it due the unique writing style as I have never seen that before and I loved it also. It was different and felt like I was reading a transcript for a story video game- I loved video games.
I loved how it was reading like a story video game. The book is a fast paced book- it was weird but it definitely fitted. I loved the tension between the two MC's. Veer felt like this one video game quest master who talks in riddles- I was like screaming at my phone for Veer to just talk clearly and not in stupid riddles 😂😭
I loved how everything about Aarohi was teased and build up. Despite the book being primarily dialogues and barely any descriptions around it- the world building still was fantastic as it was kept to a bare minimum. Not every fantasy worlds needs a huge world building unless it's relevant. In here we had two primary locations- Gurukal the camp where they are trained and the nearby forest. No huge details were needed about the rest of the world, tho I do wish now to learn more about it.
I liked the concept on how Tushar played with the reader. It was teased that Aarohi is the danger and than it wasn't her anymore and the true villain arrived which was awesome! 🤩
Also I loved the characters illustrations in the book- I have not often seen that ^^
Tushar, you killed off my favourite character- why!?😭
‼️Anyway- spoiler warnings ahead I am sharing my favourite quotes/ phrases from the book.‼️

“You were never meant to control fire. You were meant to become it.”
I just finished Veyrathis: Fire Against The Dark by Tushar, and it was such an interesting change of pace! Veyrathis: Fire Against The Dark isn’t written in the traditional way you’d expect from a fantasy book, instead of long paragraphs, the author uses a short, sharp dialogue style that makes the story move incredibly fast. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed this style of writing.
The main characters are Aarohi and Veer. They are both incredibly strong-willed, one angry, one silent, both harbouring secrets. The dragon scenes are cool! I loved the description of the bonding process between human and dragon, it was such a nice, unique touch.
The artwork included throughout the book is absolutely gorgeous and adds so much to the experience. The end of chapter 9 hit like a freight train, super fast and punchy. And the ending scenes? Rapid, unexpected deaths, and a really interesting conclusion that was a bit of a surprise.
Because the style is so dialogue-driven, the book felt a little bit short for me. When it comes to fantasy, I’m a reader who loves to deeply explore the world-building, the lore, and the character history in a longer format, so I found myself wanting more writing to sink my teeth into! It’s not a negative for me though, as I did find myself really enjoying the story!
If you love a rapid-fire, action-packed fantasy that you can fly through in one sitting, you will definitely enjoy this one. A huge thank you to Tushar for gifting me this digital copy to read and review! My review is entirely my own thoughts.

Veyrathis: I loved it!!
Ok, update... I am giving this book 5 stars because I really did enjoy the story. It truly is a great story. But I still stand by some of my other observations below.
The writing technique of this author is definitely interesting or different depending on who you ask, I suppose. In some aspects, it would appear to be written as if it were a very long poem. Then, as you continue to read, it's as if it's a play, so I feel like either the author or the story is confused about what the story should actually be. With this being said, I don't feel like it detracts from the FMC and MMC and their budding relationship. And there is randomly very beautiful artwork throughout. Thank you for that!!
Overall, what I have read so far sounds really good. I like the story as a whole. It has great bones. There is ancient magic, dragons, and slow burn romance, shadow beings (I don't know if they are good or bad yet). Ok, so the shadow beings are bad.
One other thing, the print is really small, and it makes for longer reading time as I don't have the ability to make the print larger.

Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy of this book. I was sadly not able to finish it. From page one you are thrown into a world with no world building and even though I tried to get passed that, it continued to feel like the author was trying to capture fourth wing with no explanation of why they are examines or at a fighting college. The formatting also was very strange. While I was able to tell who was speaking, it felt almost like a screenplay instead of a book at times.
It reminds of the post I saw that said some people don’t read the paragraphs of world building and descriptions and just read the dialogue. If that is you, this is perfect for you, but not for me.

Veyrathis: Fire Against the Dark was an enjoyable romantasy filled with dragons, magic, action, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance. I really enjoyed watching Aarohi and Veer's relationship develop as they were forced to work together against a growing darkness threatening their world.
This was a relatively short read, making it easy to get through while still delivering plenty of magical battles, secrets, and high-stakes moments. The story kept me engaged from start to finish, and I especially enjoyed the mix of fantasy adventure and romance.
If you enjoy dragons, magic, enemies-to-lovers romance, and fast-paced fantasy, I would definitely recommend giving this book a try. 🔥🐉📚

If you like your romance with a side of world ending stakes and enough tension to power a small city, Veyrathis is the right story. Aarohi and Veer have more chemistry than a lab that’s literally on fire which, fittingly, is exactly what happens here. It’s got dragons, and dark secrets.

Overall, I really enjoyed Veyrathis! The story itself is incredibly fun, and there is no denying that it delivers on a fantastic, true enemies-to-lovers dynamic.
One of the coolest and most unique aspects of this book is the writing style. It’s written almost like a play script or a D&D scene, which gave it a really fresh, distinct vibe that I haven't seen often. It kept the pacing interesting and felt very visual.
That being said, my 3-star rating comes down to a personal preference for a bit more depth. I found myself wishing for more extensive world-building right at the beginning. I wanted more background info to really understand why the FMC and MMC hated each other so much, and I would have loved a deeper dive into the mechanics of her powers and the bond they shared. The elements are all there, I just wanted more of them to fully immerse myself in the lore!
A quick shoutout to the visuals: I absolutely loved the cover and all of the artwork inside the book. They are gorgeous and easily deserve 5 stars on their own! Lol.

I really like the story! This was written almost as if it were a poem which was interesting.
What I liked:
• I loved the artwork that was included with the ARC. It was gorgeous - I would love prints!
• Dragons 🔥🐉 I am a sucker for a story with dragons.
• The chemistry between Aarohi and Veer.
• The action and magic throughout the story 🔥✨️
• I felt it was a very easy read.
What didn’t work for me:
• The writing seemed repetitive throughout the story.
• It did lack important details: were they in a school? A town? What did the characters look like? The story jumps into the action and it left me slightly confused.
• I wanted more character depth - I wanted to feel some type of connection to the characters.
It was good! I would definitely check this story out. I'm curious to see what other stories the author may want to bring to life. 🐉🔥

• The action and magic throughout the story 🔥✨️
• I felt it was a very easy read.
What didn’t work for me:
• The writing seemed repetitive throughout the story.
• It did lack important details: were they in a school? A town? What did the characters look like? The story jumps into the action and it left me slightly confused.
• I wanted more character depth - I wanted to feel some type of connection to the characters.
It was good! I would definitely check this story out. I'm curious to see what other stories the author may want to bring to life. 🐉🔥

I wanted to start by saying I was teetering between 2 and 3 stars BUT, that being said that is just based on my personal feeling! In the book, I feel like there was potential for some growth or maybe some add ons I guess you would say? It was very very short when it came to the lines/paragraphs, some were even one words based on the book when I read through my kindle. Writing style ✍️ was different but not aweful! If you enjoy it better to read with shorter paragraphs this would be great for you
I loved the enemy to lovers, dragons, fighting scenes 🐉 🩷 I was just a bit confused throughout as they started straight into the book with like training scenes, but wasn’t really sure if they were in school? Very fast paced. Just think some introduction to characters, their lives, some background would have been great!

I have no idea what I've just read. There was no world-building, it was nearly all dialogue and there was no character introduction given (that intro page does not count). It did not care about what happened and I'm sad about that.
