Eclipse Chronicles: The Rising Eclipse
Book One of the Resonance Chronicles

They were never meant to touch.

Auren carries the heat of the sun, a force that burns anything that comes too close.
Nymeris belongs to the moon, shaped by silence and bound to a destiny she does not fully understand.

Their worlds were never meant to meet.

Yet something ancient begins to stir.

A pull older than memory draws them together, unraveling the fragile balance that has kept their realms apart for centuries. As the sky shifts and light bends into something unnatural, whispers of a forgotten truth begin to rise.

A truth buried beneath fear. Hidden within prophecy. Guarded by those who would rather see the world remain divided.

Some bonds were never meant to be formed.
Some forces were never meant to awaken.

If the sun and moon stand together, they may finally understand what ties them to one another.

Or uncover something that was meant to stay buried forever.

A sweeping romantasy about choice, balance, and the quiet inevitability of two forces drawn together against all reason.

I didn’t begin with novels.

I began with coloring books, character sketches, and fragments of worlds that had been living inside my mind for years. Long before they had names, they already existed in pieces. A feeling, a place, a face, a story waiting quietly in the background.

Over time, those fragments became something more. The characters stopped feeling like ideas and started feeling alive. They became voices, choices, conflicts, and stories that refused to stay unwritten.

When life slowed down and I found myself with more time and space at home, something shifted. For the first time in years, my mind had room to breathe. The worlds I had carried for so long finally started taking shape, not only as art or concepts, but as living histories, layered timelines, and stories with roots far deeper than I first imagined.

Writing became my way of understanding them. Of following the paths my characters chose, even when they surprised me. Of uncovering the weight of their decisions and the balance between light and darkness that shapes them.

At the heart of my stories are the things that matter most to me. Choice. Balance. Connection. Love that is never simple, but grows through struggle, sacrifice, and change.

My worlds may hold magic, gods, ancient bloodlines, and fractured realms, but they have never been about power alone. They are about people. About emotion. About what happens when love, duty, grief, and hope collide.

Romantasy has always been my escape. Now, it has become the world I build.

My current work, the Resonance Chronicles, is the foundation of that world. A growing universe made of interconnected sagas, histories, and characters, with Eclipse Chronicles as its beginning.

Alongside my novels, I still create coloring books and visual companions, because art remains part of how I tell stories. From fantasy worlds to personal projects inspired by my own cats, creativity has always found different ways to exist in my life.

This is where it all comes together. Words, worlds, and the pieces of myself I leave behind in both.

How do I summarize my thoughts about this book?

This book has so many tropes woven into one story without it feeling like being too much. We have the prophecy trope, destined to be together, the slowburn, the enemies/rivals to lovers, the assassin and soldier etc. Everything I love about a good fantasy.

The characters are well-written. Every character, even the ones who seem less important, have their own background and aren't just some kind of filler.
And there are many characters to love. We start with Auren and Nymeris but then we get to see others like Kaelen (in him we trust), Elian, Rianne, Liora and many more. And of course the most important one Ael.
Every character brings something to the table and I loved the multiple POV-style which gave me a better understanding of all the characters involved.

The language and writing style is also something I appreciated. The descriptions and analogies really gave me a vivid understanding and view of what the scenes looked like.

I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the series🫶

I adored this book, we have forbidden romance, prophecy, enemies to lovers, dichotomy of good and evil and more humour than i had imagined. Every character is well thoughtout and there are no 'filler characters' they all play and important role and you keep a piece of each of them with you.

Auren and Nymeris are the main event with their slow burning catoclismic romance, two opposing storms that cant help but crash into one another, I cant wait to see whats in store for them next.

I fell in love with Kaelan, he is the grumpy sunshine uncle we love him, him humour is unmatched. In Kaelan we trust should be a new movement.
If he ever breaks our heart in the later books im not sure I'll emotionally recover.

Ale is amazing he is our fabulous side kick companion and his inner monologues with have you laughing out loud. I could write a section for each of these phenominal characters but ill contain myself or you will be reading a book before the book.

Lies writes with such a profound beauty and elegance, her descriptions are masterful, at no point did the book feel repetitive her world building is immersive and easy to follow I cant wait to continue the story in the next book. This book will keep you up late at night, a truly phenomenal read.

The Rising Eclipse pulled me in with its beautiful sun-and-moon premise and kept me captivated with its magic, mystery, and slow-burn romance. There is something so enchanting about Auren and Nymeris. The tension between them is quiet, emotional, and beautifully written. I loved the sense of destiny surrounding them.

The world feels rich and full of hidden history, and I really enjoyed the way the story slowly reveals that there is so much more happening beneath the surface.

This is a gorgeous start to a fantasy romance series, and I cannot wait to see where Auren and Nymeris’s story goes next.

Definitely recommend for anyone who loves slow-burn romance, soul bonds, prophecy, magic, and epic fantasy worlds.
