Farrah has spent her whole life knowing that when she turns twenty-one, her life is somehow supposed to bring a killer back. Imagine growing up with THAT hanging over your head. And I really thought that was going to be the main focus of the story... nope. That was just scratching the surface.

For me, Farrah and Silas were everything in this one. I really loved their connection. The history between them, the tension, the obsession, and everything Farrah starts discovering as the story unfolds had me way more invested in the two of them than I expected.

And Silas...🖤 A dream demon with some serious touch her and you probably won't live long enough to regret it energy. Apparently we're adding another questionable fictional man to my list because I liked him more than I probably should have. Again.

I also loved the old-school slasher feel throughout this one. It gave me those nostalgic Halloween horror vibes while still having its own story and surprises along the way.

Dark, twisted, obsessive, and just a really fun Halloween read. There is a little spice—and when I say little, I mean like half a pepper. 🌶️ Just enough to technically say it happened.

And once again, apparently I'm perfectly comfortable rooting for the villain. 🔪🖤

I enjoyed Halloween Slasher. You had demons, dream demons, and witches. Farrah thought she was cursed since her birth. I loved Farrah and Silas' relationship. It was the perfect Halloween Novella.

Farrah has been cursed since the day she was born, always being told that her twenty-first birthday would mark the day that Sootface would cross the Veil and come to claim her. When the town she grew up in decided to take matters into their own hands, they burned her house down with her and her family in it, and she was the only one who escaped.

Farrah found refuge in Death Valley Ridge, but was never able to escape the entity who haunted her. Silas made himself known on more than one occasion, but with Halloween approaching again, he knows the time has finally come to claim what’s his, and he won’t take no for an answer.

I received an early copy of this book through the Death Valley Ridge shared universe and really enjoyed it. This book definitely increased the spooky factor, complete with ghostly shenanigans and demonic apparitions. While legend had made it seem like Silas sought to harm her, in reality, he seems almost protective of Farrah, challenging other demons to keep her safe. I loved the more paranormal elements in this story, especially as different secrets were revealed.

Farrah’s story pulled me in straight away, and I loved the relationship between her and Silas. This one brought demons, ghosts, danger and plenty of paranormal chaos to Death Valley Ridge, with Farrah finding herself right in the middle of it all. 👀

There were some seriously unhinged moments, but also a romance I found myself really invested in. I had such a good time with this one without wanting to give too much away!

Another completely different take on our weird little town and another five stars from me. 🫶

Great Halloween novella!
Farrah has been told since she was born that her life will bring back a killer - been mocked and teased her whole life. On her 21st birthday the town takes it too far and she loses everything. When she ends up in Death Valley Ridge, she finds friends who don’t know her past or so she thinks.
Silas has one job, and he’s free. But that one job is one job he’ll go down fighting against.
This is another one where I would love to see what happens next!!!!

Absolutely DEVOURED this book 👏🏼
From the beginning to the end, I was locked in and didn’t want to put it down. At one point the writing had me covered in goosebumps! I loooved Farrah & Silas’ relationship. Nothing like a shadow daddy 😉
To be honest, this is not really something I would have reached for, but I’m so glad I went in blind because I LOVED this little Halloween Novella 💖

This one was good.

Farrah has grown up believing she is cursed because she was born on Halloween. On her 21st birthday everything changes and she slowly starts to learn that it's a little more complicated than a bogey man urban legend in the town.

After the tragedy on her 21st she makes it to Death Valley Ridge were the paranormal is just normal and her bogey man isn't as scary as she was lead to believe.

There are a couple of twist and turns in the story, can Farrah make it past 21.

Halloween Slasher did not disappoint! Urban legends, demons, dream demons and witches. Definitely a Halloween novella. As always with novellas, I really wish there was more. This novella gives you a craving to know more about Farrah and Silas. I would be so excited to see this turn into something bigger!

I really enjoyed this story 🙂 I loved Farrah pretty much instantly and it was interesting seeing parts of the story through Silas' POV. I didn't see the ending coming at all, or a couple of the other little twists thrown in there. The ending was beautifully written too. 🫶🏾

Halloween Slasher was the third book I've read in the Death Valley Ridge series, and so far my absolute favorite!
I said it a million times, but I’ll say it again… I love all things witchy, and throw in some demons… you got yourself a great read!
Silas and Farrah - come on... what next for these two? I absolutely need to have a follow-up story! LOL
I read this in a little over an hour and definitely recommend this book!

I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Halloween Slasher, which is a part of the Death Valley Ridge novella collection. I gave this book 2 stars. This was a quick paranormal dark romance, and the storyline was well thought out. While this is a spicy adult romance, the writing was a bit too YA-ish for me. However, if you like spooky, horror-adjacent, paranormal romances, I would recommend giving this book a read.

I would definitely love Silas to be my soulmate but omg poor Farrah having to lose her family. I never saw it coming that she had another soul trapped inside her body but Rhys seemed so sweet.
