COUSINS 2: FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING

Rate this book
In book two, the Walker Cousins are back, and “adulting” is proving tougher than they ever imagined. College life in DC during the 90s is a whirlwind of late-night parties, pulsing hip-hop and house beats, and the constant search for identity. But it's about more than just finding themselves. It's also about love, survival, buried secrets, and choices that come with a price. Then Scorpio enters the picture. Magnetic, dangerous, and impossible to ignore, he brings a temptation that tests the very core of their family loyalty. Every move matters. Every decision has consequences. And when a night of clubbing takes a violent turn that no one saw coming, nothing will ever be the same again. Some choices you can't take back… and it just may be too late.

Selena Haskins has done it again in her latest book, Cousins 2. Four cousins, Leslie, Boogie, Lucci and Raven are living their young adult lives around 1993 in Washington D.C. Each life has its own share of drama as the full gambit of emotions are faced from loss, gain, joy, pain, and even terror. I read it in one day and there are a few laugh-out loud moments as the cousins look for their places in the world. Cousins 2 will leave the reader reflecting and pondering the highs and lows of the many levels of life itself.
