Ik las eerst de Engelstalige versie van De Muraniums en vond die zo interessant dat ik later ook de Nederlandstalige editie heb gelezen. Het verhaal neemt je mee op een fantasierijke reis vol mysterie, ontdekkingen en diepgaande vragen over ons bestaan. Naarmate het verhaal zich ontvouwt, ontstaat een steeds groter geheel dat de aard van de werkelijkheid en het bestaan zelf onderzoekt.

Soms verloopt het verhaal wat langzaam en sommige ideeën vond ik in eerste instantie moeilijk te accepteren. Toch vallen de puzzelstukjes gaandeweg verrassend goed op hun plaats en is het best spannend en soms heel verrassend. Het boek geeft niet zomaar antwoorden, maar zet je aan het denken over je eigen overtuigingen en aannames.

Dit is geen harde sciencefiction, maar eerder filosofische sciencefiction waarin ideeën en verwondering centraal staan. Een bijzondere en memorabele roman die nog lang blijft nazinderen. Ik heb zowel de Engelstalige als de Nederlandstalige versie met veel plezier gelezen.

The Muraniums offers an imaginative journey filled with mystery, discovery, and profound questions about our existence. As the story unfolds, it reveals a much larger vision that explores the nature of reality and existence itself. Sometimes the book moves slowly forward, and some of the ideas were difficult for me to accept at first, but everything surprisingly fits together and makes you reconsider your own beliefs. Not hard science fiction, but a very memorable and unique science fiction novel.

I ordered this book from amazon because the description intrigued me. I'm normally not really into sci fi, but the extra dimensions of consciousness, death, fysics and shifts in reality tickled my fancy.
I gave it a quick glance when I received it just to see if I got the right order, but the first pages kept me spellbound. Before I knew it, I was curled up on the sofa with the book in stead of doing what I was supposed to do.
Highly recommend!
