This book was very well written. You just fall into the story like your looking through the Glass !!! Loved it from cover to cover. I really like how Nicholas Beardsley tied this book to Real Nightmares !!! I couldn't stop reading page after page and liked how you also tied this nightmare to your first book, " Please Wake Up " Well Done, Nick
“The devil had come to Gracefork, and his name was Arthur.” 🐺📿
Thank you to @beardsley_books for an ARC of his upcoming religious horror novella — Between God and The Moon 🌕
Set in the dual timelines of present day and 1970s small-town USA, we follow the…adventures…of Arthur Shelley — a werewolf convert to Catholicism; and the complex identity issues that come with that 😅
Arthur’s moral compass — and final test— comes as he finally lies in a hospice ward nearing the end of his life; the last place he expects to find a monster almost worse than himself.
Fast-paced, action-packed and filled with a healthy amount of blood, guts and gore — Beardsley’s newest novella explores themes of shame, guilt, despair, remorse and the uncomfortable truth that not all monsters look dangerous 👀

Another exciting page turner from this new author.
This novel keeps you guessing. It is gruesome but not scary to read. If anything makes you want to hurry and see what's coming. Tells of a "person's" struggle between heaven and he'll and what must be done or not done to go to either. For adults. No for kids under 16. My opinion. Congrats!
I just got this delivered today and I read it all in one sitting! I did not expect where it was going and I loved it. I read the author’s first book as well and loved it. Excited to read more in the future!! Especially loved the tie in with Defiance, Ohio Dogman/werewolf lore.
What an honour to read the second book by Nicholas Beardsley.
The story is beautifully crafted with religious, horror and suspenseful elements.
The inner fight of virtue and vice is raw and heartbreaking. While the outside fight of man vs monster is terrifying yet liberating. This all sprinkled with one's starvation for affection which makes them blind to dangers lurking in plain sight.
Kudos to the author for managing to throw a few good surprises in all while giving depth to the story line and the characters. Not to mention all within 86 pages.
From start to finish, this second novella from Nicholas Beardsley does not disappoint. In “Between God and the Moon”, Beardsley takes his readers on a spiritual journey, told through the lens of a werewolf struggling with his supernatural needs. On the surface, it’s a tale of monsters and religion, but throughout the story, humanity and morality are explored. What really makes someone or something “good” or “worthy”? Do we listen to the angel or the devil on our shoulder - and how can we be sure which one we are hearing? This book is full of twists and turns, and I couldn’t put it down!!
Between God and the Moon, pulled me in right away and kept me there. Arthur Shelley's fight with faith and the darkness inside him makes the story tense and absorbing, and Nicholas Beardsley's writing holds that balance in a way that makes it difficult to step away. The pace keeps the suspense sharp without dragging, and it reads quickly while still leaving an impact. If religious horror is your thing, this is one worth picking up.
