From the very second that these two clashed at the end of Stay With Me, I had to have their story. I live for a good hate to love moment. And there's nothing more delicious than successful bachelor used to getting everything he wants having to chase the one woman who won't give him the time of day...and also happens to be the sister of your new sister in law.
Kara Hayward has been there, done that, and has the divorce papers to prove it. She doesn't need another man to upturn her life and is only interested in the thrill of the chase. But Sean Dunn is absolutely relentless and is a master of getting under her skin...and then setting it on fire.
The back and forth with these two was as fun as it was frustrating. I spent plenty of chapters wanting to slap both of them for their sheer stubbornness, and frankly, I wasn't even sure who had their head further in the sand.
Sean chases, Kara wants to give in but won't. But then when Kara returns to her home to see it rampaged and a danger they thought was behind bars is actually at loose, Sean will stop at nothing to protect here.
Where I spent a good chunk of the first half wanting to throttle both of them, I was completely enraptured in the second half. When the suspense started suspensing, I was all in. And man did I love the sides of both Sean and Kara that came out during this. I love the way that Nikki writes her FMCs in this series. Yes, they have men to protect them, but they're also so fierce in their own right. And Kara absolutely blew me away with the way she took the danger on. And I loved the way it finally made them understand their feelings for the other.
While the villain arc was a bit of a suspend your disbelief sort of thing, I still gobbled it right up. It just worked somehow even while my logical brain was very much trying to "huh" things.
If you love a steamy romantic suspense, I can't recommend this series enough. And if I thought I was excited about the set up for this book, I have no words for the hook of the next one. I am absolutely gagging for Ethan's story. Luckily the wait isn't long because NEED.

Nikki Sloane’s Keep Me Safe, the second book in the Dangerous Obsessions series, continues the story from Stay With Me, shifting the focus to the siblings, Kara and Shawn.
Like the first book, this one is told through dual POVs, which I always enjoy because it allows a deeper understanding of both characters. Kara is portrayed as strong-willed and fiercely protective, determined to keep her sister safe while resisting the pull of wealthy and powerful Shawn. Shawn, meanwhile, is equally determined—set on protecting Kara from the assassin now targeting her and convinced he can break through her defenses.
While I enjoyed parts of this story, it didn’t work for me as well as the first book. Shawn’s character often felt overwhelming, frequently disregarding Kara’s requests for space and pushing past her boundaries. Compared to Nikki Sloane’s other couples, the chemistry between Kara and Shawn felt less natural, and Shawn’s persistence made him more frustrating than charming at times.
Overall, this was a 3.5-star read for me. Even though I didn’t connect with this installment as much as Stay With Me, I’m still interested in continuing the series.

Hot, fast-paced, but has a few flaws 🔥
The chemistry between Sean and Cara is absolute fire. I love the trope of a powerful billionaire becoming obsessed with a girl who constantly tells him "no". The spicy scenes by Nikki Sloane are top-notch as always, and the storyline with the killer keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
But here is what might annoy you:
Sean sometimes seems a bit too "almighty" with his money, which kind of kills the feeling of real danger.
Cara was honestly frustrating at times with her "I can handle everything myself" syndrome. When a professional hitman is hunting your family, it's really not the time to let your pride get in the way and refuse help.
This is NOT a standalone! The main plot directly continues from the first book (Stay With Me). If you start with this one, you'll be completely lost.
Overall, a great sequel to the series. But you definitely need to read them in order!

Keep Me Safe is an instant attraction, kind of enemies to lovers, forced proximity, billionaire romance with mystery and suspense thrown into the mix. This story is about the siblings of the main couple in the first book. After meeting up with Jason and Laurel at an event, Jason’s brother Shawn meets Laurel’s sister Kara and is instantly enamored with her. Kara’s still recovering from coming out of a bad marriage and isn’t looking for a relationship, but she sees Shawn and knows he’s nothing but trouble. Shawn has never been shut down by a woman and begins relentlessly pursuing Kara for months, but things in their lives start getting serious when the man obsessed with Kara’s sister escapes from prison putting all of their lives at risk. With Jason and Laurel going into hiding and Shawn trying to protect Kara, will they finally realize their flirty relationship is actually the love neither one of them expected 👀
I really enjoyed the push and pull with Shawn and Kara. Kara is on her own and starting to discover who she is after her awful marriage, and she isn’t going to be another notch on the bedpost of a billionaire playboy. Shawn though, has never had a woman treat him like Kara does and he knows she is different than any other girl he’s met. He wants Kara to be the independent boss lady she is! But when it comes to her safety, he has no problem controlling the situation and making her listen. When they finally get together, the spice was definitely spicing! 👀
The audiobook was duet narrated and everyone did a fantastic job! This story had romance, mystery, suspense, plot twists, and a satisfying HEA ❤️ This book is an interconnected stand alone that can be enjoyed by itself, but I would recommend listening to the first book to get the most of out of this story ❤️

I’m gonna be real honest here about this whole standalone situation. This is not a standalone. #fightme I don’t want to get into why I’d fight on that hill because, spoilers, but I will. Do with that information what you will. Romantically and suspensefully, this is all about Shawn Dunn (MMC) and Kara Hayward (FMC) but it still not a standalone. 🤔🤔
Keep Me Safe was just as “edge of your seat” as its predecessor but with more of an anticipatory vibe rather than a “what is even happening” vibe. Not only did the romance plot-line of the story hold me in a chokehold but so did the suspense. I’m not going to do details except to say that Nikki slayed once again. I’ve read a lot of Nikki’s work in the past and she is very good at writing sexually driven stories with a twist. I never once considered her a “dark romance” writer even when I read “Filthy Rich Americans”. That series is what added the “twist” to her already exceptional talent but these two stories is what really made me put her in the “dark romance” category or at least what I think of as “dark romance”. I am in awe of her talent and versatility, always have been, but I really have mad respect for her now because she “got me”, and that ain’t easy. And not so much because this story kept twisting and turning, no, more because I just honestly did see a lot of the unfolding of this story coming before it came. It’s amazing to be me right now! There’s no better feeling!
Shawn & Kara are both strong characters. There is no grumpy/sunshine opposites attracting happening between these two. They are both driving forces, and it was both exciting and entertaining to experience their development. Their story was tension fueled in the best of ways and again I found myself thanking the universe for not having an early copy of ebook and just the audio because maaaaaan did I want to fast forward a bunch of times just to take a peak around a corner. Ya’ll, I am the worst! When my anxiety ratches up I just gotta know! Well, not this time, or the last (lol)! THEN, we also have the suspense portion of this story which was quite literally “on” almost from beginning to end. Talk about an adrenaline rush! Ya’ll, seriously, if you like your romance fiction edgy, sexually driven, full of suspense and tension, Nikki Sloane is a writer you should be paying attention to. #trust
Sidenote: I won’t lie and say that Shawn’s character was not a “bit much” at times (read to find out why), and if it wasn’t for the whole package that is this story, he might just have brought the rating down, but he didn’t, but it was close. I “got” him, but I also wanted to punch him sometimes. Do with that what you will! LOL
The duet performance by Gabriel Spires, Lidia Dornet & Chris Merlin was absolutely epic! They took this story to movielike levels in my head and I just have to say how happy it made my audio loving heart. That’s the ultimate goal for an audio listener. To have a story not just narrated to them, but to make them feel they are in the story because they are so inside their heads when listening. It’s a feeling that is very hard to convey but you’ll know it when it happens and you will cherish those times and mark those audiobooks special so you can easily go back to them time and time again. Obviously, the “action” aspect of the story is going to do some of the work, but not the level of work these three did. I’ve always loved Lidia in all the performances I’ve listened to because she’s so versatile and always embodies the characters from “root to toe” as they say and her voice is easy to listen to. Gabriel & Chris are still fairly new to me and both were perfect in their roles!

Ohhhh in book one I was fingers and toes crossed that their blaiblings would fall for one another (her sister his brother) and look at that I got my wish. We follow Shawn and Kara both of them are work driven, and forced together because of L's Stalker from book 1. Shawn is smitten from the moment he meets Kara l, Kara is more reserved and wants nothing to do with Shawn... I loved it. Lol she makes Shawn work for her attention and does the boy deliver. Like cancels her flight for overseas travel so he has her on his private jet. (Insert evil laugh) Circumstances force them together, but Kara learns their is more to Shawn and watching their relationship bloom is glorious and I fully enjoyed their story!

Lidia and Chris were amazing! I feel like I have not heard Lidia in forever and I absolutely love her voice and what she brings to her characters. She was incredible and you cannot tell me otherwise. I got a peak of Chris Merlin in book 1 and he had my attention. He did such a great job in this audio! He brought emotion and feeling to Shawn and I am looking forward to seeing him in other audiobooks. I wanted more Gabriel, but I am hoping we get him as the main character for book 3. I really enjoy his voice!

Sometimes it’s hard for me to find true romantic suspense, where there is actually enough suspense (by my own personal standards). But this is it! I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of it. I was easily pulled into Shawn and Kara’s story, I loved them from the beginning, and the fast pace kept me hooked. They are well fleshed out characters, and had authentic, crazy chemistry and tension. He is a man obsessed who put it all out there, his forwardness had me cackling, he’s shameless!! He wore her down, but she stayed sassy and wasn’t afraid to put him in his place. Their dynamic created a foundation for a lot of top-tier banter. Plus I just can’t get enough of the billionaire trope lately, so I’m just all around a big fan of this one!

Ms. Sloane gives readers another thriller like only she can. Shawn Dunn had met Kara Heyward and decided their fate. Kara was just a feisty as her younger sister. Kara and Laurel were finally becoming sisters again after a ten year break. Shawn had a hard time accepting no from anybody especially a woman that he knew really wanted him. Shawn needed Kara to let go. They could have fun.
The Frey/Juric situation was finished. One of the many letter organizations had him. Laurel was finally safe. At least that is what they thought. Shawn received a message while with Kara requesting that he keep an eye on her because the Frey/Juric situation might not be over. They made it back to Kara's apartment and walked into the start of a nightmare. Kara is just as fierce as Laurel.
Not only do readers get an enemies-to-lovers romance, they get another adventure. Juric's obsessions were centered on Kara now that Laurel was pregnant. The narration of this was perfect! I loved Sean’s story. I loved his he determination he had to get his prize. Keep her safe. And then she was ripped away and determined to find her. Second book in the series. Can’t wait for the 3 rd book! And audio!

Hot Take: I liked this one better than the 1st, but I really hate the way the author ends her books. I don't want the epilogue to be a totally new set of characters/teaser of the new book. I want to hear the extended ending. The detailed HEA without the stress. It just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth from a book that I rather enjoyed. This one was interesting because it contained all the normal stuff that smut books have, but this one let glimmers of real life poke through. Him being annoyed with her when she showed up to his work place unannounced. Normal smut books the MMC would "drop everything", whereas he was kind of annoyed. His reaction was real life, which was a nice surprise, but like I also kind of hated it? lol He also mentioned not having the muscle power to do some position since he got shot. REAL LIFE. Again, loved it but hated it.

I will try to hold back on trying to just tell you everything about this story. So I can't say much about it I do not want to spoil the surprises in store.
I thought that after enjoying book 1 so much that book 2 Keep Me Safe could not match up to book 1..But it DID OMG it did I loved it just as much as Jason and Laurel's story.
It was so thrilling.
The Dunn brothers and the Hayward sister's are back but this book is focused on Shawn Dunn and Kara Hayward..I was so excited for this story to unfold,especially when Nikki Sloan gave us a little taste at the end of book 1.
I should have known it would be a bumpy ride..From the start you are thrown into the deep end with an exciting event and we learn Kara has been married and divorced,to a controlling man.
Shawn shows up at Kara's work place to make sure she is ok..
Shawn is a Billionaire and a playboy and he wants Kara he makes No secret about that..But Kara is a feisty one and she resists all of his advances,refusing to acknowledge the attraction she has for him..
Shawn DOES NOT hide his Attraction.
Then out of nowhere BOOM !...The past comes back for revenge..Kara needs protection and Shawn does his best to do that.
The chemistry between Kara and Shawn is so so strong and no matter how hard Kara tries she cannot prevent the inevitable..Their intamacy is passionate and spicy.
There is more than a romance going on in this book and I was captivated from the start and the rollercoaster did not stop until the end...there is action, suspense,twists,turns and steam..

There is more than a romance going on in this book and I was captivated from the start and the rollercoaster did not stop until the end...there is action, suspense,twists,turns and steam..
Sensitive readers should heed the trigger warnings.

I cannot believe I have missed out on listening to Nikki Sloane's book for all these years until now,I will definately be checking out her other story's...She is such a great writer and has one hell of an imagination.
The ending was glorious and I am SUPER Excited that ETHAN will be getting a book next, and I have a feeling it is going to be Epic !..I will be the first in line to listen to it thats for sure.
Magnificent...Shawn and Kara are perfect together.

I loved the role Shawn, this MMC, played in book 1.
He is a billionaire (for starters one of my favorite tropes) and he is such a funny character. When book 1 ended, readers were teased with a few pages from this book and I was immediately hooked. Because I knew Kara, the FMC, would have Shawn fall to his knees for her. And she sure did.
The first half of this book is full of banter. Of a man chasing a woman because no one ever resisted his charm, and when this woman does it, she becomes his goal to conquer. He flirts, he persuades, he charms. And she resists, over and over.
The second part of the book is absolutely different. When an evil man, obsessed with Kara, k!dnapps her, Shawn brings his brother on (Jason is the MMC of book 1) and together they begin a quest to save and bring her back.
Kara is this badass, strong, independent woman. And she fights with everything she can. To return to the arms of the man she loves to hate or hates to love. Either way, it is love and they deserve it.
This book is full of action, twists and turns... and delicious spice.
Although you don't have to read book 1 to read book 2, I highly recommend it because you will have a better reading experience.

Book two in the Dangerous Obsession series, Keep Me Safe is a spicy suspense romance charged with emotion and drama. As always, I do recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it, and for this series it is a strong recommendation.
Nikki’s books are always so enjoyable to read, and the Dangerous Obsession series even more so. Kara is to Shawn something of a challenge. He is used to his money and looks giving him basically everything he wants, but Kara isn’t like that. She flat out refuses to play his games, she knows who she is, what she is worth and her current drama doesn’t have her wanting to add anything else to her already chaotic life. But Shawn isn’t used to being told no, let alone more than once by the same person, so he has made it his mission to make Kara his next conquest. Kara is still dealing with the aftermath of her marriage, and now the man that has made her and her sisters (Laurel book one) a living hell, has broken out of prison and is coming for them again. This leads Kara’s sister to go into hiding and leaving Kara alone without any support….unless you count Shawn.
Kara is a boss, she is finally learning herself again after a crapping marriage and the last thing she wants is to be Shawn’s next challenge. However, as they spend more time together, she slowly starts to open herself up to the possibility that maybe he isn’t just treating her like the next notch in his playboy belt. Shawn on the flip side really starts growing as a person, his emotional growth both for his relationship with his brother and the new growing feelings he has for Kara. As the plot progresses and things come to a head both Kara and Shawn learn that maybe they are stronger together than they are apart, and that just might be enough to take down the one causing all the problems.
If you enjoy a spicy romance filled with strong character development, emotional growth and a storyline that will totally keep you invested, Nikki Sloane is the author for you!

Keep Me Safe was everything I hoped it would be after finishing Stay With Me. Nikki Sloane delivered another addictive romantic suspense that kept me invested from beginning to end, and honestly, I didn’t want it to end.
This story follows Shawn and Kara, who readers will already know from book one. Shawn is Jason’s brother, and Kara is Laurel’s sister, which is why I highly recommend reading this series in order. The events of Stay With Me directly impact this story, and seeing how everything connects made the reading experience even better.
One of my favorite parts of this book was the push and pull between Shawn and Kara. With Jason and Laurel in hiding, Shawn finds himself responsible for helping protect Kara. What starts as necessity slowly turns into something neither of them expected, though as a reader, I was rooting for them from the very beginning.
Kara was such a strong heroine. After everything she experienced in her marriage, she’s trying to rediscover who she is and what she wants from life. She refuses to become just another woman in Shawn’s long list of relationships, and I loved that she challenged him every step of the way.
And Shawn? It was obvious from the beginning that Kara was different for him. He’s used to approaching relationships one way, but everything changes when it comes to Kara. The way he cared for her, protected her, and slowly allowed himself to want something real made him impossible not to love.
I was fortunate enough to experience both the ARC and the audiobook, and I have to say the narration added so much depth to the story. It felt like the characters truly came to life, making it easy to get completely immersed in their journey.
The romance, suspense, chemistry, and family connections all came together beautifully. If you enjoyed Stay With Me, you absolutely need to continue with Keep Me Safe.

I received this ALC from Nikki Sloane and Valentine PR and I’d like to thank them for it. This book was narrated by Lidia Dornet, Gabriel Spires and Chris Merlin in duet (multicast) style narration and is spectacular. Their voices melded so well together it was perfection.
Just like Stay With Me, this book is romantic suspense that starts off with a bang. This book picks up with Shawn Dunn, Marshall Jason Dunn’s brother; and Kara Hayward, Laurel’s sister from Stay With Me. That book ended with them meeting and Shawn deciding to himself that he would indeed have Kara one day.
Shawn Dunn is a billionaire beer tycoon who doesn’t do “love” and “relationships”, and he’s used to people falling all over him but not Kara. She is the one woman who is not intimidated by his charm, wealth and power – and he doesn’t know exactly what to make of that.
Kara Hayward is a no-nonsense woman who loves her sister fiercely and will do anything to protect her, but she has her own relationship hang ups that stem from her divorce and she finds it difficult to believe that she’s worthy of a relationship.
She and Shawn find themselves in a precarious situation when Ryan, the assassin they long thought to have been in custody is no longer… the situation takes a turn when he finds Kara and realizes that maybe Laurel isn’t his future.
The danger and intrigue of the book will keep you wanting not to put it down. The spice was AMAZING and fit perfectly in the book. I can’t say enough about this series. I’m SO sat and ready for book three… I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing.

After finishing Stay With Me, I desperately needed Shawn’s story, and Keep Me Safe delivered exactly what I was hoping for.
Nikki Sloane once again proves how well she balances romance and suspense. This story had me hooked from the very first chapter with its addictive mix of danger, emotional tension, and slow-burn chemistry. Shawn and Kara’s relationship is built on push-and-pull attraction, mutual resistance, and an undeniable connection that neither of them can ignore.
What I loved most was how balanced everything felt. The suspense plot constantly moves forward, keeping the stakes high and the tension simmering, while the romance develops naturally underneath it all. Every interaction between Shawn and Kara felt charged with emotion, whether it was attraction, frustration, vulnerability, or fear.
Shawn surprised me in the best way. Beneath the billionaire playboy reputation is a man who is fiercely protective, deeply loyal, and willing to do whatever it takes for the people he loves. Kara was equally compelling…strong, resilient, and determined not to lose herself in another controlling relationship. Their emotional growth together made the romance even more satisfying.

Keep Me Safe by Nikki Sloane, is the second book in the Dangerous Obsession series. I highly recommend reading this series as this book picks up from where book one finished and to better understand the back story. Kara Hayward (Laurel from book one’s sister) is now living under the shadow of the threat to Laurel. Shawn Dunn (Jason from book one’s billionaire brother) has been helping protect Laurel.
Laurel (from book 1) is still in hiding with Jason Dunn. The assassin who tried to kill her is still out there, still obsessed, still hunting. Kara is fiercely independent, protective of her sister, wealth doesn’t impress her and absolutely not falling for Shawn. Shawn is powerful, cold on the outside, calculating and used to getting everything he wants. He wants Kara, but she looks him in the eye and says no and who refuses to be intimidated by him which of course drives him insane and makes him want her more. The tension and chemistry between them is undeniable, every time they’re in the same room, the air crackles.
Shawn tries to keep his distance whilst Kara tries to pretend she doesn’t want him. But, their chemistry is impossible to ignore, every touch is a mistake, every kiss is a disaster waiting to happen. Yet they keep coming back to each other. The man hunting Laurel resurfaces, but this time he’s not after Laurel, he’s after Kara. Kara is the perfect pressure point to draw out Laurel and punish Jason. The moment Shawn realizes Kara is in danger, something inside him breaks. He becomes possessive, protective and laser focused on keeping her alive and becomes the shield between Kara and the assassin and will burn the world down before he lets her be hurt.
Kara and Shawns journey is intense and emotional with danger and desire woven in. The romance is built on fire, loyalty and survival, and shifts from lust to obsession to devotion. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

The tension and chemistry between them is undeniable, every time they’re in the same room, the air crackles.
Shawn tries to keep his distance whilst Kara tries to pretend she doesn’t want him. But, their chemistry is impossible to ignore, every touch is a mistake, every kiss is a disaster waiting to happen. Yet they keep coming back to each other. The man hunting Laurel resurfaces, but this time he’s not after Laurel, he’s after Kara. Kara is the perfect pressure point to draw out Laurel and punish Jason. The moment Shawn realizes Kara is in danger, something inside him breaks. He becomes possessive, protective and laser focused on keeping her alive and becomes the shield between Kara and the assassin and will burn the world down before he lets her be hurt.
Kara and Shawns journey is intense and emotional with danger and desire woven in. The romance is built on fire, loyalty and survival, and shifts from lust to obsession to devotion. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Keep Me Safe continues the Dangerous Obsession series in thrilling fashion, with Nikki Sloane once again delivering a tense and addictive romantic suspense story. Picking up after the events of the first book, with Jason and Laurel remain in hiding, the focus this time shifts to their respective siblings, billionaire Shawn Dunn and Kara Hayward, a recent divorcee, as unable to reach Laurel, he instead sets his sights on Kara, creating an immediate sense of tension and urgency throughout the novel.
The push/pull dynamic and chemistry between Shawn and Kara is one of the book’s biggest strengths. Shawn is instantly captivated by Kara, but her reluctance to enter another relationship after a painful marriage makes their evolving relationship far more compelling than a straightforward romance where she simply falls into his arms. Her refusal to fall into Shawn’s arms only deepens his interest. Alongside the romance, the suspense element remains strong throughout. The threat is ever-present, and the pacing keeps the story moving at an intense and gripping pace. Shawn’s determination to protect Kara mirrors the loyalty and protectiveness shown by his brother to her sister in the previous book, while Kara’s fierce devotion to her sister adds emotional depth and a sense of continuity to the story. As the antagonist becomes more reckless and increasingly fixated on Kara, the stakes rise dramatically, making the final stretch especially tense and unpredictable, as for once, all of Shawn’s wealth and influence are powerless against the threat they face.
Keep Me Safe is an excellent follow-up to Stay With Me, and I would highly recommend reading the series in order. This has easily become one of the strongest and most memorable romantic suspense series I’ve read recently, and I’m already looking forward to the next instalment.

After the ending of book 1, I wasn't sure where this story for Kara and Shawn was going to go, but I was taken for a rollercoaster ride and I loved it! Kara is closed off to the idea of a partner or love after a harrowing divorce, but the moment she met Shawn she had a feeling she was in trouble when it came to him. Shawn is the CEO of one of the biggest breweries in the world, so he is not accustomed to rejection in any way, especially from a woman. But something about Kara intrigued him from the start and the harder she fought his advances the more he wanted to rise to the challenge of winning her over. As much as she gave him a run for his money and tried to outmaneuver him, he would come back and outmaneuver her and their disdain for each other was their twisted form of foreplay that kept them in each other's lives more than either of them expected. When the danger they thought was no longer a threat in their lives comes back with a vengeance and Kara is their new target, they have to rely and trust in each other to keep each other safe. Kara is put through hell and back trying to keep everyone she loves safe from harm and Shawn is determined to do the same while keeping Kara safe from her self-sacrificing ways. They learn to trust each other and it helps to build the foundation that they both need to allow love into their hearts again. I am absolutely loving this series and I am excited to see what Ethan's story will bring! They are very well-balanced romantic suspense stories that give intensity in the romance and the dark suspense.
Lidia Dornet and Chris Merlin were fantastic on this title. I love that Chris was carried over from book 1 to play Shawn and Lidia is a performer that I haven't heard on a title in a long time but I loved having her in my ears again. Both did a phenomenal job with their performances.

Keep Me Safe is the second book in a passionate, thrilling, high intense series.
Shawn Dunn is the billionaire brother to Federal Marshal Jason Dunn and he's a bit obsessed with Kara Hayward, Laurel's sister. There is an interconnected plot from book one, but the actual suspense and romance is Shawn and Kara's alone. However, reading book one would get you the most enjoyment out of reading this book, but like I said, this is truly Kara and Shawn's story.
So, with that being said....back to Shawn and Kara...who have a different dynamic than their siblings, but it's no less intense. They are both the older sibling and it shows in a lot of ways; bossy, hard-headed, opinionated...you get the drift. It's not necessarily a bad thing, since those traits are the things that they admire in each other, while driving them crazy at the same time, but ultimately it's something they really, really like. For a bit these two seem like oil and water, but once Kara does let Shawn in these two are pure fire!!

Kara is a woman in charge and she's a powerhouse when it comes to dealing with just about everyone. I loved her, but her entire attitude was amazing to witness transform from cover to cover. When all is said and done, she was still this dominant woman, but somehow just a touch softer around the edges when it came to Shawn. I loved it!!
The suspenseful part was knuckle biting and I was on the edge of my seat. I could hardly turn the pages fast enough. Keep Me Safe was another fantastic book and I can't wait to see what happens in the final Dangerous Obsession book.
