After being publicly humiliated and dumped by her fiance, the last thing on Ellie’s mind is romance. When her little sister asks her to fill in as an extra on a dating show, she gets more than she bargains for when she wins a date with the country’s most eligible billionaire bachelor, Caine Malone.
Known as THE bad boy of Miami, Ellie sees Caine as the perfect opportunity to publicly move on from her last relationship disaster, while making her ex jealous. And Caine, a self-made billionaire who isn’t exactly how the press represents him, sees Ellie as the perfect woman to help him maintain his playboy image in the media.
Although the two of them have no plans for romance, Ellie and Caine begin to fall for each other, realizing that they can’t control what their hearts desire: love.
The premise of the book was promising: a woman who took part in a reality dating show as a favor to her TV producer sister isn't interested in winning a date with the bachelor billionaire. She was recently jilted at the altar on her wedding day by the groom. She had had second thoughts about marrying him, but is still humiliated and depressed by the events. However, she wins the contest nonetheless. She and the billionaire are very attracted to each other and hit it off. The billionaire proposes they continue to date each other when he's in town so he can avoid set-ups with vapid models and actresses arranged by his publicist. She agrees, and things are going well until they run into her ex-groom-to-be at a restaurant... This is a novella, but would've worked SO much better as a full-length novel. I feel there just wasn't enough of it to devote to plot and character development. The HEA came very abruptly following the couple's brief breakup after the encounter with the ex. That's why I gave the book only 3 stars.

This was a fun read that made me smile at how sweet love can be. The characters were low key but also brilliantly depicted. The storyline was pleasant and moved along steadily. The supporting characters brought a window to future stories but also did not detract from this one. The dialogue was witty and I enjoyed the developing relationship in the story.
