Howard Frank writes about Eric Frein’s plan to ambush PA Troopers
In Lying in Wait: Anatomy of a Domestic Terrorist, the reader learns more details about Eric Frein, and how he planned to ambush the Pennsylvania State Troopers. I am a fan of true crime stories. I live in New York, and this was all over the news when it happened. This story shares Eric Frein’s meticulous planning, psychological profile, and extensive manhunt for his ambush of Pennsylvania police, revealing his transformation from reenactor to domestic terrorist. It covers evidence, trial proceedings, and legal nuances, emphasizing his calculated, ideological motives, the justice process, and the ongoing debate over the death penalty amid political and procedural complexities. Unfortunately, one of the troopers didn't survive. This book is well written, as it's not just a police report of police down, Corporal Bryon Dickson and Trooper Alex Douglass, but the entire story and told in a way that you just hold on to each word of the story. It's not just the case, it's about the people, both sides of the law, the tragedy of that day. 'Frein himself had vanished into the 300 square miles of dense Pennsylvania woodland that surrounded his parents’ home, terrain he knew as intimately as other men knew their neighborhood streets. Here, in the realm of his expertise, he transformed from amateur terrorist to quarry in what would become one of the most expensive and extensive manhunts in Pennsylvania history.' Lying in Wait Anatomy of a Domestic Terrorist is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. I look forward to reading many more titles by this author. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews recommends that readers of this book, be kind, and also write a review.
