This book completely pulled me in from the first page!! I felt like I knew these characters and connected with them ! The spice, the unique storyline and holy crap the twist had me on the edge of my seat! I blushed, cussed and cried throughout this book! Highly recommend and perfect for Halloween !

Payton (FMC) manages to be both soft and strong simultaneously, making her feel so real and relatable. She's fiery, no-nonsense and there's nothing she won't do for those she cares about.
Kade (MMC) is my new favorite book boyfriend. Abs for days, morally greyish/black and possessive AF...with a side of family trauma to keep him humble.
You will cry. You will scream. You will rage. And you'll still get the HEA of a lifetime. ❤️

I started this cackling to high wind. I mean, it was truly can't control your face at work worthy stuff. Then stuff got read. I mean, I feel this review should be doused in so many cuss words, but our ol friend doesn't like that, so I'll do my best.
Payton is going to the Verge with her friends after being ghosted by her latest interest. Things are going well. Even got ourselves a dollar store ghost face guy in there 🤣. We get all the things we expect after reading Lucky 7. Then things go hairwire. I mean, you go from laughing to what the heck.
Then comes the gut-wrenching part. Not only that, but the holy grail of twist. You're just left there reeling. I mean, I screamed in the chats and wanted to throw my phone. All those signs that say, yes, pick this book up. This is that trophy status type of book. Read it to believe it. It's available. Go ahead and hit that purchase button. Absolutely worth it and all the emotions, I absolutely will not name what you will go through. Trust that this review doesn't even cover it. Also, that means I should tell you to check the triggers, and maybe hopefully your phone, Kindle, or whatever you use to read won't go flying off into the abyss.

Primal Play of a Lifetime
RUN LITTLE FOX!! Get a death grip on this book because you won't be able to put it down! PRIMAL is suspenseful, action packed, captivating from the very start. It will leave you shocked and gasping at each plot twist. (So many twists you may resemble a pretzel phenomenal). The storyline is so well thought out and delivered so masterfully. There is so much happening but she never loses you. The story flows smoothly and is easy to follow. The author's talent shines with her character development so much that you become attached/invested in these characters that you have only met for a few lines or scenes. Will they survive or are you setting yourself up for heartache? Read to find out. Cyra's descriptive talent paints everything so vividly it's like watching a movie. You can see it all clearly. Her description of certain characters psychosis in full swing is so good it will have you starting to question things you thought you were sure you knew.
THERE'S SO MUCH TO RAVE ABOUT, BUT WHY NOT READ IT FOR YOURSELF!?!? YOU WONT REGRET IT! I do recommend reading the prequel LUCKY 7 (also available here on Kindle).

Primal by Cyra Wilde was dark, horrific, heartbreaking, traumatic, and SO thrilling. This book had me on the edge of my seat and completely hooked. 🖤
I LOVED the neighbor/stalker dynamic between Kade and Payton. If you love dark, obsessive stalker romance, you’ll probably love this dynamic. It also had major slasher + final girl energy, making it such a perfect Halloween horror read. 🎃🔪
Payton was such a badass, and I loved how tough she was. I loved the trauma bonding, the depth of their relationship, and the insane lengths Kade went to for her. The “touch her and die” energy? YES PLEASE. And Kade with those slutty little glasses? 🥵 Absolutely.
Kade and his brother Max went through SO much, and I really loved their relationship. Max was one of my favorite characters besides Kade and Payton. Wesley, one of the other hunters, was another favorite. He was incredibly brave and such a memorable character. 🥺🖤
There were so many sad moments, and the plot twist was definitely shocking and heartbreaking. The romance was deep, complicated, and fascinating, and the spice was 🔥🔥🔥 SO GOOD.
This story was thrilling, horrifying, emotional, and impossible to put down. And after everything, that happy and emotional ending was exactly what I needed. 🥹🖤

OMG. This book had me in a chokehold from the start. Dark, twisted, a plot twist you don’t see coming, everything you want in a Dark Horror Romance! I thought the plot twist came with the sparkly boots & I wasn’t even close!
Payton gets ghosted by her ex, so in an effort to forget about him, agrees to sign up for The Verge with her 2 best friends - where trained Doms hunt them down & have their way with them on Halloween night.
Kade is Payton’s next door neighbor. All she knows about him is he works with computers & he might be kinda hot. Maybe…. But Kade is obsessed with Payton & he’s going to follow her to The Verge.
Everything starts out great at The Verge - until there’s just one too many players. I devoured this book - I did NOT want to put it down. The terror Payton felt once she realized what was happening? You could feel it while you were reading. You could definitely feel the tension & shock in the chapel towards the end! The plot twist? Absolutely insane. I wasn’t ready for it - in any way!
I loved the ending also & may have got a little emotional with it!

Ohhhhh this was a goooodie! I mean when the main guy wears a ghost face mask I’m in!!
Please check triggers for this one because it is dark truly dark but what a story!
This story is about Payton and Kade! Payton is coming off a rough breakup and her friends convince her to sign up for the verse it’s a free for all hunters in masks and the women are the prey!
Kade is Peyton’s next door neighbour who’s obsessed with her he’s stalked her online and knows her Halloween plans!
Kade has a difficult life because his mom’s a drunk and he only stays to protect his brother Max!
The night of the hunt Peyton is ready! She has her backpack with supplies but she doesn’t know Kade is coming to the hunt for her! He had a mask he made but max took it so he’s stuck with a run of the mill ghostface mask which Payton calls him dollar store ghostface LOL
The hunt is intense immediately it’s super creepy and she gets captured by Kade! Their connection is spicy and hot but she doesn’t know it’s him not just yet! The first time they actually do have sex his mask falls annnnnd she sees that it’s Kade! It’s all spice it’s fun and bam! People start to actually die! Blood gore everywhere!
I didn’t expect one of the killers like really you’re gonna do that to one of your best friends and the other reallllly just because you were fired!
I liked how the spice and the gore wove together in this crazy Halloween themed thriller!
I did hated what derek made them do on the alter!
I love how they fought and survived and they both ended up with injuries but the 5 weeks! She was moving and came over to bring him his cameras and things got spicccccy bad Kade reminded her that she was his and he was hers!
Their story is messed up it’s spicy it’s crazy but they match each other perfectly and they get their hea and max gets a safe space too!
Buttttt that bonus story? Their update! Was absolutely perfect!

Okay… Primal was WILD. 😳🖤 From the moment Payton steps into The Verge’s Halloween hunt, the tension is nonstop. What starts as a dangerous game quickly turns into something much darker when an actual killer enters the woods.
I loved the combination of dark romance, horror, suspense, masked hunters, obsession, and a seriously intense anti-hero. Kade is definitely the kind of morally gray man who will have you questioning everything—but somehow still rooting for him. 👀
The dual POV worked so well because getting inside both Payton and Kade’s heads made the story even more addictive. I was constantly wondering who could be trusted and who would make it out alive.
This book was dark, twisted, fast-paced, and had me completely hooked. If you like your romance with a side of danger, suspense, obsession, and murder, Primal needs to be on your TBR. 🖤🔪🌲

Listen, I’m not usually a horror book reader, but honestly I’m glad I read this book. Thought I would dip my toes in to horror, but ended up knee-deep. Check the trigger warnings!
This story takes place 2 years after Lucky Seven (go read it before you read Primal), and our FMC Payton signs up for The Verge as prey, not knowing her neighbor, our MMC Kade, is a hunter and is going for her. He’s obsessed with her, and I’m here for it. 😍
The spice is spicy 🥵 and Kade is possessive 🤭 all while looking like “dollar-store ghostface” and armed with his $29.99 Halloween special knife. It’s all fun and games for Payton and Kade, until people start dropping.
The TWIST. The fucking twist. Didn’t see it coming, but after it came, the dots connected. 🫣
This books was great. And I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Definitely recommend it, so be a good girl or boy, and read it. ❤️

Do you like scary movies? Do you like being chased? How about the idea of a bet? How far are you willing to go to have a good time? Ok in all seriousness, this book was wild in the best ways. This took the elements of a horror movie and added all the good smutty parts and honestly, some trauma.
I definitely suggest checking the menu for anything you may not enjoy reading about because this covers a lot of triggers.
If you are like me and have no triggers and skip the menu simply because we love a good surprise then this is absolutely for you.
I was shocked by the chemistry of the Main characters and how relatable the friendships were. Kade and Payton will live rent free in my head for a while, pretty sure little fox is fine with that.
Also, how this book made me tear up at the end should be award winning. This had me in all the feels.

Probably one of my top books I've read this year so far! As an avid horror fan and smut lover, this checked all my boxes. Kade is my new book boyfriend 😍. And Payton is a badass last girl FMC. Loved the twists in this. I really felt like I was reading a movie script and I was inside it. It was that descriptive! I binge read this book after a long 10 hour day at work and taking a melatonin gummy to sleep, fighting off the melatonin gummy so I could read! I know, counterproductive! But I needed to know the ending! If you read anything this year, it needs to be this book!

This felt like Scream collided with Still Beating and I was obsessed. The anxiety this book gave me had me flipping pages faster than I could read because I had to know who was behind the mask.
The atmosphere was dark, tense, and completely addictive. Kade was possessive, ruthless, and exactly the kind of morally gray man I love reading about. Every chapter had me questioning everyone, and I never felt safe.
If you want a dark romance that keeps your pulse racing until the very last page, this one delivers.

Holy moly things got dark and twisted so fast! Had my heart racing. This is definitely a Dark Horror Romance so read TW page before continuing! Kade is the IT Guy that lives across the street and Payton is just the girl he falls for the day she moves in. I was immediately sucked in! The chase and the hunt was thrilling but then things took a turn and omg I was biting my nails! I may have broke down a bit more than once in that last 10%… I may have internally screamed too. I absolutely cried reading the Epilogue... That ending was much needed!

If you love dark romance, morally questionable men, tension and gore this book is for you! The atmosphere was dark and intense. The characters were deliciously unhinged and the spice definitely brought the heat. I went in expecting a wild ride and somehow still wasn’t prepared for just how feral this story would get.
Payton the FMC was strong and sassy and Kade our delicious mask wearing MMC was obsessive and would do anything for her. The plot twist was *chefs kiss* and I definitely wasn’t expecting it! This book will be going on my reread list 🖤

This book was honestly one of my top reads so far this year. Hands down.
Kade and Payton’s story is one I will not forget. The evolution of their relationship throughout the story really sold it for me. It was so real, and really had me going through the emotions with them. all the thrills of a horror movie, while the plot keeps you hooked. Loved every minute. I could literally imagine being in these scenes, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time! And that twist? Never saw it coming.
Highly recommend if you love masked men, but are ready to take it to the next level.

Wow this book had me completely gripped all seemed sweetness and nice small town where the boy next door has a crush to turning into a stalker in the best possible way to then the story taking a whole u turn inyo an emotional roller coaster i laughed i cried i squeal and started really questioning the life decissions of the main characters the trauma was high the trauma bonding is amazing the nostalgia was great amd the banter and comedy was perfect seriously i need more of kade and payton and i need to know whatever happened to the monster that caused the gruesome chaos

Kade is the MMC, and Payton’s neighbor, who ends up putting on a Ghostface mask and hunting Payton throughout the night. He’s morally gray and possessive asf!!
Without giving spoilers, we go from laughs and giggles, questions and jokes, to worry and fright of what and who will survive the night! Definitely a read I had a hard time putting down as Lucky Seven definitely led us into Primal and the Verge just perfectly🥰

This book is not for those who are afraid….to explore themselves and their desires. This story starts off with a long list of trigger warnings and jumps right into the chaos, leaving you hooked in and claiming every part of your brain. I went into this book with zero expectations and still found myself trying to guess what was going to happen next. My favorite part? The growth of the main characters. After all, we are all monsters in our own way and still, we deserve to love and be loved. Cyra Wilde, you ate with this book… I will be reading this book again and again.

I loved this book I couldn’t put it down. This is for the girls that want to be chased by a masked man through the words without being shamed. This book was really good, there’s so many twists and turns and things you don’t expect to happen, happen. I go in blind so I won’t post any spoilers but this is a book for the shelves for sure

This book drew you in from the start! This story has everything, plot plus spice! I couldn’t put it down. Payton and Kade are made for each other they just didn’t know it yet. The writing style was great on point, the story line kept you locked in and the twist?? OMG! Will add to my reread pile for sure.

Primal was spectacular. I went into this blind and I'm so glad I did. From the cove, I expected some spooky primal play, running through the woods while being chased by mask wearing psychos, but this book is so much more. My flabbers were gasted so many times. Every time I thought I figured the book out, something popped up. I rarely reread books but I definitely want to read this next Halloween.

I am so excited that this was my first dark horror romance of spooky season this year. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was rooting for the characters and 100% invested in their success or demise. This book was a page turner from page 1 for me.
Payton is going through a rough breakup and needs something to spice up her life and help her move on. Kade is the quiet IT guy who lives next door. He also may be slightly obsessed with Payton, but who’s judging. When they both end up at The Verge chaos ensues. The plot twist was twisty!

Oh guys! This book is a WILD ride. Once the stage is set it escalates pretty quickly into full slasher movie atmosphere.
Payton and Kade are so good for each other. They don’t do fake and they don’t hold back.

I felt like I was watching a horror movie reading this! From start to finish, I was absolutely on the edge of my seat, anticipating the next move. I love the dynamic duo, Kade & Payton ! But is he just an innocent stalker you’ll have to read!!!

WHAT THE HECK!!! This was such a ride!! SPICY as hell!! Check the triggers my friends but WOW!! I loved everything about this book! Perfect read for fall/Halloween! I was hooked from the very beginning! Ughh cant wait to read it again. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
