Anatomy of the Soul

Rate this book
Since man was created in the image of God each organ of the human body has a spiritual as well as a physical meaning. Rebbe Nachman said that his teachings discuss every limb of the body. This work draws on them to heighten our awareness of the awesome spiritual power we have at our fingertips and our other limbs.

“Rebbe Nachman teaches that the lust for wealth is a bottomless abyss from which return is extremely difficult; and sexual list is also a major trial which a person constantly encounters during his lifetime. Yet it is gluttony which Rebbe Nachman calls the paramount lust for food provides man with the strength to pursue all his other desires, and it can never be avoided entirely.”

“People who define themselves as scientific, secular-liberal and open-minded are actually very narrow-minded in their scope. Instead of seeing an Infinite Intelligence manifest in the chemistry of life, and in the miracle of human consciousness that that chemistry supports, they choose to perceive chance and random processes. Having closed their minds to Godliness, they simply cannot fathom what spiritual and religious people are all about. Furthermore, because they think only in materialistic terms, they close themselves off from seeing that which lies beyond matter—or within it.”

A contemplative guide to body and soul

I would recommend for the student of Kabbalah.

This detailed explanation of the interaction between body and soul will help both physically and spiritually.
