Vicious Hunter Wade is a werewolf with a mysterious past. He’s stumbled into a misfit Pack of Rogue werewolves and is slowly carving out a life for himself teetering carefully in between the human world, and the werewolf world. When he meets a beautiful she-wolf named Lyric on a random night, he can’t help but be drawn to her. Sure, they are supposed to be mortal enemies, but he’s never met anyone like her before. Secretly, they plan a meeting but they are both in danger now. She has something that the powerful Elders need, and they will stop at nothing to keep her in tight control.
Lyric Howell’s entire life has been a lie. She has been deemed The Turner by her werewolf people and has to perform a job no one else can. When she finds out where she really comes from, the information sends her into a tailspin. The day she meets a handsome, dominant Rogue werewolf on a chance encounter, she knows she’s in trouble. He’s an enemy of her Pack, and she is forbidden to even talk to him. But disguised as a human for one night, she shares an evening with him that changes the course of her life forever. There is more to the world than the darkness created by her werewolf Elders. Being a Rogue is shameful, but the more she sneaks time with Vic, the more she thinks the Rogues know what being a werewolf is really about. The Elders and her Pack won’t let her go easily, and when they find out what she has done, they need to get her back into line and quickly. Only Lyric is wiser now, and sees everything for what it is, and the more the Elders try to trap her into her old life, the more she wants to burn the whole world down.

‘He reached for her hand, then drew it to his lips and let the kiss linger there. Butterflies filled her stomach, and she melted into the seat, allowing the tension to ease in her shoulders. “Listen to me,” he said, his attention back on the road. “No one will control you anymore. No one will ever make you Turn a wolf again. No one will ever bring you back into line. You are allowed to be yourself Lyric. I’ll hold the barrier.”
Vic, knitter of hamster clothing, is thoroughly impressed by Lyric, Turner for her pack, because he knows how much she helped his packmate Destiny.
Lyric, biding her time to attempt to leave her awful sister and pack, takes a chance at happiness when she becomes enamored with Vic.
TS Joyce adds another delightful wolf romance to her Same series and we fall in love again!
This is a great line for the whole Rogue pack of this series and the tagline for our times,
“She was going to revel in being the villain in a corrupt system.”
The MMC is ridiculous and delightful. He’s a wolf shifter who knits sweaters for his hamster and he goes to bingo night with the elderly folks where he meets the MFC (who is not elderly).
“Did she know he could smell her anguish from the front door of the bar?”
Even with their troublesome past, he doesn't let that get in the way at bingo night.
“Now crucial question, should I order us all matching pajamas for the adventure?”
Gotta love a man who is not threatened by anything cute or feminine, he just embraces and loves it all.
This one quickly drew me in. I was rooting for Lyric and Vic from the start. I liked how Vic was able to show Lyric that life could be fun and how when she needed help and called him, he was there for her without asking many questions. Heck, he even helped her set up a girls weekend, all before there was anything romantic going on.
With how things were in Lyric's pack, the space that Vic provided was her safe place, gave her a way to see how a different pack worked, which was a great thing when things came to a head and she needed the space to heal afterwards and spend time with Vic. They didn't get to their HEA easy, but it was well worth it for how things ended for them.
Honestly, I am a bit disappointed with the ending. I would like answers to questions that we didn't get. What was her mom's name? Where was she? And other questions that just don't matter because they will not be answered. The use of the gun was just wrong on all levels and showed nothing but cowardness on the part of the so called wolf warriors. I wad surprised they left any of them alive. I just see that not being a good option down the road. I love the relationship with Destiny. What I don't understand is why their hands had burns on them? I really liked the whole bingo games! How fun!
I’ve been quite indifferent to most of this series, but I do feel this was the best one yet. It till relies heavily on politics to pull the story along but we have follow up conflict from what was brewing and erupting with the elders and werewolf society and in the previous books and we get more depth to it this time. Vic is a great character, though it mostly told you how extra he was instead of being in the moment. I love the crazies but he’s toned down and more happy go lucky. Until hi woman is threatened. Then all bets are off, and possibly limbs. The politics are going strong, and I am yet to become a political plot lover.
To begin, if you’re new to TS Joyce you’re in for a treat. She is such a supporter of women having each other’s backs. I always feel like I’ve been through a really good therapy session at the end of her books. And she is so very talented.
I absolutely love Lyric. She’s been through a lot of rough times but she’s still so sweet and incredibly strong. Vic is so perfect for her. I knew when he showed up with Earl that I was going to love him. Their story was quick but boy did I get all the feels!!
Same Way is the fourth book in this series and brings us Vic and Lyric’s story, which is a fairly emotional story😢
Vic and Lyric have met previously and are quite literally “enemies”, but nothing will stop them from becoming friends, and hopefully later down the track….something more?🤷♀️
A really great addition to this series and I’m looking forward to Tabian’s story next🙌
TS is one of my must read authors. I will literally drop all other books to read hers when they come out. I am really enjoying the Rogue pack. It's full of fun characters who have been through a lot to get where they are. This leaves them very protective of those they love, and willing to do just about anything to make sure they are safe. I loved Lyric and Vic's story. There was so much emotion to it, and I loved the way they clicked. Can't wait for the next two in the series.
Oh my good gravy, this book! There is not one book that I do not like of TS Joyce. This book was something special though. The emotions, the depth of the characters, the story, the story in the story. I was actually completely bummed when I finished it. Vic and Lyric have a complicated but heartwarming romance, with hits that keep coming. But between then and The Rogue Pack? Love always wins. I can not wait for the next book.
I absolutely love this book, I love Vic and lyrics relationship, I love the humor and the real. Sometimes I feel like T's books help me heal parts of me I didn't know needed it. And the humor mixed in with the real is so awesome I love this author with all my heart. Your forever fan
Unsure if this is just me but compared to the other stories this was underwhelming
I love T.S Joyce, i have read i believe every book. I have to say i have not been this dissapointed. The story line is great but missed the mark for me.
Seemed to jump in to a great story but i think fell flat.
So I've read every single book that T has written, they are some of the best stories. I can connect and understand what most of her characters present, but this book...OMG..this one was so heart felt, so much love..and of course I cried my eyes out..in a good way...can't wait for the next one..
Pretty intense book! Great story and great writing! Glad to see extra chapters after the main body of the book was fleshed out. The added chapters sharing the aftermath and some time afterwards, really rounded out the book! The ending was less abrupt and more interesting. Good work by the Author!!!
Grab some tissues and enjoy this emotional roller-coaster. I awed, laughed, and cried through this story of survival. I am happy to see the rouge crew grow once again.
I love how all of T's characters have flaws, they're not perfect, they struggle but they're always stronger together and Lyric and Vic were no different.
What an incredible story! No spoilers, I think if anyone has read the proceeding books than there should be no doubt as to the trials met and the strength of the Rogue group. Looking forward to any book written by this author.
When life is hard and you suddenly see a good way out? With love and support? Oh yes. Sigh. This is a very good story, full of drama and coercion. It’s a great romance too, w feelings and friends and …love. 😡🫣🥰🥵😍
This book has it all, hot shifters, slightly broken but mended by love of a good mate. And a few tear-jerking moments, especially in the last scene. I loved this book and it went too fast! I hope Tabien is next.
Absolutely loved Vic and Lyric's story. In spite of obstacles and near death experiences their attraction and love shines through. T.S. can write a love story like no one else. If you want to feel good then I recommend this book and the whole series.
Thank heaven for TS Joyce and her perfect, silly, beautiful romances. Vic was hot and sweet, so rare to find and SUCH a treasure. The hamster sweater was hilarious!
I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next one.
