The series pretty good short and to the point but it feels like each girl feels like a clone all young, thick and curvy so it starts become a little monotonous but I still enjoyed this book!!

3.5 stars. This was the best book so far, it still had ridiculous moments but at times it was raw and gritty, like an, actually MC. The H Cain was a badass, and the h Violet wasn't 18 but 25 and had a actual career. The love wasn't after a two week period but the mushy over the top love talk was still in the book. I really do think the author keeps the same words from previous books. As if she erases the previous H and inserts the name of the new one. Plus all the men are dating the same girl. Tall, thick, curvy, size 16 and half their age. Cain is 45, Violet is 25. It's like Malice set the tone. He found a woman half his age and the rest followed suit. Oh..Kay. Hmm

Cain knew Violet since she was little. She is his daughters best friend. He gets locked up for almost killing a man that rapped Violet and almost rapped his daughter. During the 9 years Cain was locked up, Violet wrote, called and visited Cain. He gets out, kills the rapist and then drives to Violets house and their relationship takes off from there. The ending of this book was interesting, it actually has me very intrigued that crazy drama is finally going to go down. That is all.

We meet Cain in the previous book when we see him killing a man for attacking his daughter. He then goes to prison and his daughter's friend Violet is the one that he wants but he can't have because she's his daughter's friend and he is no good for her.
But after he gets out of prison he can't stop himself from being with her or wanting her and he tries to fight how he feels, but.... 'The heart wants what it wants'...

When Violet was 16 years old her and Fallina were violated by a neighbor, angry and wanting revenge Cain came to protect his daughter and violet. But before he could finish the job the cops were called and Cain was send to prison. When Cain was gone Violet faithfully wrote to him, she had known Cain for many years almost growing up in his house because she spent so much time with his daughter. Violet's feelings for Cain started changing that night all their lives changed and when the writing wasn't enough Violet decided to make a visit to prison, what she found was an angry Cain.
Nine years later Cain is free and it takes everything in him to not go see Violet especially after her confiding in him while he was in prison, even though Cain has done bad in his life the feelings he has for Violet are wrong. Finally making it right after so many years just makes Cain wants to see Violet even more. Violet loves Cain and she knows she has to tell him but when he finally comes for a visit and she reveals her feelings, they push Cain away even more. But Violet is determined to not give up, and knowing how Violet feels makes it harder than ever to stay away.
Cain finds himself once again riding out to Violet's house. Once Cain arrives neither can deny how they feel and they both realize that they don't want too. Both Violet and Cain know that their relationship isn't
as simple as most especially since they both love Fallina so much, and Cain isn't a regular man with a regular job.
I really liked this book, I haven't read any other books in this series but after reading this one I want too. But I really want the next book in this series. We get a nice glance into the next book which didn't take away from this story and since this isn't a long book that's saying something. I loved the beginning of this book and how we see what happens to them both, and also Cain in prison. I think it really helped make this book stick out.
Cain was a great hero, there wasn't anything not to like about him and adding how much he wanted and loved Violet just made him that much more of a stand out hero. One of the things I love about Jenika and the Brothers of Menace is that they are real in what they want and need. Cain is a hard man with a hard life but everything in him is programmed to protect what is his. That protection is the theme for this story and it comes through loud and clear. Even as we are drawn into Cain and Violet, Jenika never let's us forget the Brothers we know and the ones still to come. Very well done Jenika. I am a reader of your for life.

I love when new books come out in this series its always fun to find out what is currently going on with this MC ... the cliffhanger teaser is just mean if you ask me because now I have to wait to find out what happens lol and I really want to know !!! lol

This is very similar to the other stories; older guy and a younger girl. He thinks he's not good enough. She loves him with all that she is. I love this series but wish we could have a twist or too to the story.

Cain's Darkness - Book 4 - The Brothers Of Menace MC - Jenika Snow
This is the fourth book in the Brothers Of Menace MC series and I loved it. We finally see more of Cain Trainer, the brother fresh out of prison for defending his daughter Fallina and her best friend Violet Wings. At forty five Cain knows he should stay away from Violet, she is so much younger than him, been through so much and is the best friend of his daughter, he has seen her grow up yet he is drawn to Violet like a moth to a flame. At twenty five Violet knows that Cain is the man for her, she has loved him for a long time and knowing he is fighting his feelings for her is equally frustrating and heartbreaking. However when Cain finally gives in to his feelings all bets are off as once he claims Violet he soon makes it clear that she is his in all ways and there is no turning back for either of them from that point on. Cain is one dominating alpha male that is for sure and once he sets his sights on his woman he soon sees what he could of been enjoying all along and what happiness his future with Violet could hold. Again really well written, strong characters that jump off the page their chemistry is so hot. I adored it and seeing how alpha and dominant Cain's character could be. I also loved seeing Pierce is now a fully fledged member of the club, I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. I am also intrigued about Jana and Tuck and ho their story will develop along with the other brothers. So much still to come that is for sure. I loved it as I have all the others, which probably explains why I have read this series more than once and hope that you will too.There were some spelling mistakes but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. Happy Reading.

Cain is a hard man, he has done time in prison for attempted murder. Although, his actions were in the defense of the two young women he loves the most, his daughter Fallina and her best friend Violet. After Violet called to let him know Fallina was under assault, Cain flipped his lid and almost killed the man. What Violet didn't let him know until he was in prison was that the same man has already raped her.
Now Cain is out and out for vengeance, and possibly a new beginning with a woman he shouldn't actually want- Violet. He has known her almost all her life and now that she is a woman he is seeing her in a new light, what he doesn't know is Violet has loved him almost all her life and now wants to make Cain hers.
While the central story-line was amazing, the background story was lacking to me. I feel like there was some type of drama missing.
Now Cain is out and out for vengeance, and possibly a new beginning with a woman he shouldn't actually want- Violet. He has known her almost all her life and now that she is a woman he is seeing her in a new light, what he doesn't know is Violet has loved him almost all her life and now wants to make Cain hers.

So basically, you have a guy who went to jail because he tried to kill the rapist of his daughter's best friend - who also tried to rape his daughter. Violet - his daughter's best friend - falls desperately in love with him but he refuses any contact with her.
Barely out of jail, he says that they cannot be together and one page later, they declare their unconditioned love for each other and he says she will be his old lady. They make love and that's it. Bye, bye!
Oh! And of course, she is 25 years old and he is around 40-45 years old.

Good story,but for once shorter might have been better...
Rarely have ever thought about a story I enjoyed being shorter not longer but I feel with just a few tweaks this could have been an Awesome short story,coz while I adored both Cain and The sweet and strong Violet after they finally got together ,their wasn't anything "new" really added to their story.... Their internal monologues were repetitive especially Cain's ( seriously by the end if I had to hear/read him call himself a dirty bastard that didn't deserve her Yet Again?!?!? I was gonna scream!!) Despite what so many others might look at Cain and see the man was very honorable in his own way and was very sweet, kind and loving to those he cared about and probably more decent to others than most would ever guess but he definitely didn't suffer fools or assholes,well at all! Forget gladly at all and that's ok.. But I think we could have stopped somewhere after their date and skipped the whole macho BS with the drunken Asshole part I mean hey this just out of prison for something similar to this we honestly didn't need a reminder.... I would have wanted a longer story I'd we could have explored what their "normal" day to day lives we gonna be like now.. Did he move in with her? How did her friend,and neighbors react ,if at all ? Did he kiss her goodbye on her way to work and say "Have a Nice/Good day Honey " ;)
Did they Buy a dog? Did she return to her counselor and tell her how happy and complete she now felt ? All that to me would have made them a little more real and interesting, than just more sex or hearing Cain think about how he was either a Dirty Bastard for wanting her and the things he wanted to do to her or the many things he wanted to do to her for the umpteenth time which honestly got really boring really fast.... I love how Sweet and caring Cain was despite the life he led and the things he'd done, I loved how gentle he was with Violet ( honestly I feel that the way he loved her and cared for her and just being the man he was deep down I feel he'd have treated her that way ever if she hadn't been raped way back when,coz that just how Cain was with the Women he loved sweet and gents as a Father and as a lover )
What gets me is I've read too many books with characters like on I just finished called the " The Invitation" by Roxy Sloane with Rich Guy Ash not spoiled per say ( liked the book btw) but needs to Dominate the Woman he loves and during sex seems to control her and her body (btw the way ,they are both addicted to sex with each other,honestly sex is almost ALL they do together) anyway the female Justine seems to love it of course( I am NOT a submissive type myself soo reading about women who don't really do it for me,I'm all for being the woman how has the strong Alpha make type that enjoys getting the spanking at times ;) not being with the control freak who needs to give it ;) but I digress ..
Point being it was soo beautifully sweet to see a guy who had every reason to be rough and overly dominant to hold back some and be gentle because that was how much he loved "his Woman" ,( ok I'm perfectly fine with terms like his woman ,heard it plenty in all the shifter and sometimes Vampire books etc. and if I was with a sexy/passionate man I Loved , I WANT/Loved to be called His Woman but the term his old lady or old lady while it's probably accurate soo doesn't feel cool ok, sure I'm over the big 4 0 soo the word Old isn't cool :P but still ,it seems a woman your deeply committed to but not married to deserves a much better term than My Old Lady Yuck!!!!

I was privileged to have a copy of this fantastic book for my honest review.
Jenika has provided us yet again with another great addition to this series and wow what a ride these bikers gives us.
Cain is all dark, commanding, dominant and Very protective of what's His.
One night his protectiveness just lands him in prison for defending his daughter and her best friend from a drunk who was assaulting them he got Nine years but it was worth it. And Once he's free the ultimate revenge will take place.
Violet has always crushed on Cain but as the years grew she fell in love with him more and was keeping her feeling unknown and as there was a large age gap she's forbidden fruit for Cain as he's all dark and wants more for violet.
I love this MC and that we don't just get a whole book about the main characters and there HEA, We also get the glimpse of The others and the way the MC pulls together a true brotherhood.
This book just flows and the way Jenika tackles the age difference plus the plot was fantastically executive and Cain is all Cave man a True Older bad boy I love him. I'm now looking forward to the next one.
I recommend you read this series from the start and the Grizzly's as your get to know all the characters and the whole MC as one.

Cain Trainer is a killer. He has done many bad things for his club and the people he loves. He is a member of the Brothers of Menace MC. He loves his MC family but he also loves his daughter Fallina. Along with Fallina comes her best friend Violet. These two girls are inseparable. One tragic night for the pair and Cain came to the rescue. He would always protect his two girls.
Violet was dealt a bad hand when it came to family. The older she got the more raw deals she got. Fallina and Cain became her family and with them she got the Brothers of Menace MC. That was the way she liked it. She felt safe.
While Cane was away for some time she became aware her feelings for Cain were way stronger. That weren't the same feelings as before. Cain pushed her away. He knew it was best for her.
Cain's Darkness is a great read. It has a refreshing take on a relationship in a MC. It takes Cain and Violet on a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved it. Each book in this series is exceptional. Great job Jenika Snow and thank you for your hard work.

The Brother's of Menace- Cain's story.
Because I am a fan of Jenika, and I not so good book every now and then will not turn me away from her, I feel like I have to be nitpicky on this story.
Not enough plot- by far not enough plot.
Repetition- we get it, they love each other.
She isn't a virgin, so why is she being treated with kid gloves? Ride her hard Cain and put her away wet--all the slow got REAL boring real fast.
Besides the killing scene (which we experienced in another book as well) there was no climatic situation. The story line ran a straight line the entire time.
The very random scenes thrown in right in the middle of a sex scene was like throwing ice water on a fire. Didn't need to happen like that girl.
The end. Seriously where is their love story? Back to the not so good plot.
I can't wait to dive in to Tuck's story because I get a feeling it will have a little more climax! Again not a great story for Cain, but it isn't turning me off of the series!

Jenika Has done it again but she has taken this whole experience to another level with Cain's story.

This is a must read. I wont spoil the ride for anyone else with spoilers but let me say Jenika delivers with this book. Oh! And I love how we get a small glimpse at The Grizzly guys. Can't wait for more Brother of Menace books!

Worth the wait! Well written, entertaining and smokin' hot!!! Cain is a hard man, a killer but loyal to the end. He is what he is and makes no excuses. He's protective and loves deep when it comes to his daughter and Violet. Feeling tainted, too dark and hard, he's determined to watch and protect Violet without getting close to her. Violet is sweet but strong, knows what kind of man Cain is and is out to prove to him a relationship will work. Loved their passion and chemistry. Steamy hot scenes. Loved it!! Would recommend. Awesome book cover!!!

Not much to the plot and kind of boring. We already read about Cain killing Carl in another book so I felt like I was just rereading that scene. I like this series but think the books are too pricey especially if I'm going to be rereading some parts of the story and when the book is just ho hum on plot. The next book which I assume will be Jana and Tuck's story sounds like maybe will have more action going on.

Redemption & Salvation
Cain and Violet...two halves of a whole. I admired Violet's determination to heal from the pain of her past. The maturity she displayed in holding her ground with Cain and defining her relationship with him was good. I liked that once he made up his mind to have a real relationship with Violet he was wholly committed and sensitive to her needs. It was as good story,nI recommend it.

I was looking for something that was MC but wasnt that long because I didnt want to get it and not like it. But I was so surprised at how much I really enjoyed it. I noticed that this was book 4 but I was able to read this with no trouble at all. I will be making sure that I read the rest in this series because it is so well written. There is just enough drama and sexy stuff to create a nice balance that I want with my reads. I cant wait to read more from this author and this series.

I loved Cain and Violet's story. Although Cain is a hardcore biker he also is such a good guy and takes care of what's his. I absolutely fell in love with him. Violet has been through so much but you would never know because she is so strong and I thought she was perfect for Cain. Can't wait to see what happens next with the Brothers of Menace

As far as storylines go this was a bit better. The prison stuff at the beginning had me more engaged. At least Violet is older and more established. I guess I'm just used to reading longer novels. Everything is so instant. I like the build up in the relationship and character development. Oh well it is what it is.

A must read!!
This is such a fun series to read!! It's dark in some parts with action that will keep you turning the pages. It's also very hot and sweet at the same time. I can't wait for more! This is a can't miss author!

Like Jenika's other books this one is amazing. Cain is strong and wants to do what is right. Violet is cain's daughters best friend. I think they are perfect together. I liked the cameo from the Grizzlies too.

I didn't love it but I liked it a lot. We didn't get to know Cain very well before this book, but If you have read the others in the Brothers of Menace and Grizzlies MC series then don't miss this book.
