6 Spicy Scenes
A monster romance between a gorgon and a half-vampire? Yes, please.
This book was utterly delicious and packed with spice in such a short span of pages. The accidental mate bond between Ruby and Elektra provides the overarching story of the book, and it gives that perfect background for their relationship to go from enemies to unlikely lovers.
Elektra stole my heart from the minute she was introduced. I’m a sucker for a proper monster romance, combine that with Greek mythology and I’m absolutely sold. Not to mention she was an ice queen, with curves for days 👀
I loved the dynamic between both characters, from the typical I’m going to murder you enemies to I can’t live without you lovers. Not to mention the banter and rage baiting they both partook in throughout the entire book. ✨chefs kiss✨
I honestly cannot wait to read more sapphic monsters from Maya and I’d highly recommend adding Two Bite Stand to your TBR!

Oh my God! This is such a good read! I adored getting to see Alexis's friend and what she got into. This is a standalone in a interconnected series where in the first one you met Alexis and in this one you meet Ruby who is super fun!
This book pretty much picks up right where a role in the grave ends and let you see what destruction Alexis and her Queen Left behind. You get to meet an all new Queen in Elektra.
Some great world building and mythos building with the idea of Gorgon mai mating bonds and what they do!
Looking for a fun read that has some o denial, a bit of d/s play, and some unconventional appendage usage? You should definitely check this out!

A half vampire assassin who bites, and a gorgon who has biters for hair.
Their bites interact during and Assassination attempt and Vóila! They are in trouble together!
Political intrigue, k!nk and consent, bond shenanigans, yearning, and emotional payoffs which left me weeping with happiness.
So super sapphic, Ruby and Elektra absolutely SIZZLE on the page, with insanely hot banter and intimacy shenanigans.
I had to go and read book 1 for more juicy goodness!
