Their lives were stolen by hate. But souls bound by love can never truly die.
Best friends Marcella and Chiara stand accused of witchcraft. Just a day after they performed a spell to bind their souls to become sisters, their lives are taken by Italian inquisitors.
What the inquisitors don’t know is that a bound soul cannot die, for its life is sustained by its mate. As Marcella and Chiara are reborn from the ashes, their hearts seek out their missing piece, bringing the bonded sisters together again. Follow Marcella and Chiara across time as magic reunites them when they need each other most, proving that real magic lies in the unconditional love of your best friend.
Stevie Hosler is an up-and-coming fantasy author. Her life is ruled by coffee, cats, emo and pop-punk music, and convincing herself that buying books and reading books are two separate hobbies. She lives in Pittsburgh with her fated mate, offspring, and four animal familiars.
Thank you Stevie for allowing me to be a part of your street team! Just like Shadow of Lilith, The Stars in Our Hearts is beautifully written and the illustrations are an amazing addition! Stevie captures the love her characters have for one another perfectly. Be sure to read this!
Absolutely amazing and highly recommend! Totally blown away by the story and the art! A truly compelling, and easy to read book. Can’t wait to see what’s next for yinz (the author and illustrator 😉)! 🖤💛
Wow! What a heartwarming and heart wrenching tale of sisterhood through the ages and Stevie pulls it off beautifully! I found myself feeling a little jealous that I didn’t have this kind of connection with a sister or friend. This is a perfect example of how women should support and lift each other up.
This was a heartfelt story celebrating a powerful sisterhood. At its heart are two sisters whose souls seem destined to find one another in every lifetime. The bond between Chiara and Marcella radiates from every page, making their joys and heartaches feel deeply personal. I enjoyed the well paced storyline while showcasing love and friendship that transcends time. Different names, eras and lives, it was a beautiful, emotional journey that lingers long after the final page.
This was such a refreshing and unique cozy yet gothic-ish standalone book! Hosler flipped the script to show the ultimate bond can exist between best friends.
The feminist and Practical Magic vibes along with the journey spanning 5 life times kept me flipping pages (and cancelling plans) through the night. Loved the sweet ending 💕
Sometimes a book comes along and makes you want to call all your best girlfriends up just to say I love you because sometimes your soul mate is your best friend!

This beautiful story about the sisterhood will have you sitting on the edge of your chair at times too yall!
This was not my typical read, but I'm so happy I got the chance. It's a beautiful story that made me feel all the feelings. The thing that bugs me the most is that I fell in love with some of the side characters and I want more of them. I would read a whole book about Tomas and Teddy. Thank you, Stevie, for giving me an advance copy!
2 sisters who persevere despite impossible odds. My heart soared, broke, healed, and is hopeful for a better future with my own sister. The Stars in Our Hearts is a reminder of what is worth fighting for. Our family. 💛🖤
ARC reader here! I loved this book so much. It was sweet, yet heartbreaking, but ultimately so uplifting. I love the idea of THIS level of true love. I have so much curiosity about what happens after the book is finished, but it is a great standalone, beautiful story.
This books is PURE MAGIC! It’s so warm, beautiful, and really emulates the true love of a best friend who becomes your family. It just made my heart so happy!
This was such a beautiful read. Two best friends that find each other in every lifetime. Their story isn't perfect. There is heart break. There is loss. But in between it all, there are cherished moments, happiness, and laughter. Two women who become more than best friends; they become sisters.
Stevie does a phenomenal job showcasing what it means to be sisters, whether by blood or choice. This is an emotionally captivating story that will have readers rooting for the main characters in every lifetime.
