Ultraviolet: A Dark Paranormal Romance

Hunter Bloom had always been rational. Pragmatic.

As a columnist in California, she’d built her career based on evidence and truth. Hunter valued facts, not folklore. She rolled her eyes at myths, and clicked her tongue dismissively at legends. So, it was no wonder she’d left her hometown behind the moment she could.

Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

When Hunter is forced to return to town for a weekend, she finds herself being shadowed by more than the town’s absurd Mothman legend. Something other than her dark, tragic past begins to haunt her.

Someone is stalking her. A tall, mysterious man with startling green eyes and strange scars carved across his face.

When Hunter wakes up in his secluded log cabin deep in the woods, unable to clearly remember how she got there in the first place…everything Hunter thought she knew is about to be turned upside down.

Soon, the line between myth and reality begins to disappear as she’s drawn to her captor, like a moth to a flame…

Ginger Rose is an indie romance author from Sydney, Australia.

With a focus on reverse harem, urban fantasy, and science fiction, Ginger writes stories that will intimidate your boyfriend. Her books are thick with plot and sprinkled with spice.

Ginger’s first love has always been writing - as a young teen, she spent many hours writing vampire fanfics under cringey pseudonyms. To this day, she still has faith a five hundred year old vampire will sweep her away to go live in a castle in a forest somewhere.

When not obsessing over magical, mythical, and extraterrestrial creatures, Ginger loves video games, live music, travel, and margaritas.

I LOVED this, i loved the setting (nothing beats an isolated West Virginia town and a vast national park). I love the Mothman lore sprinkled in, the family history and of course the dark and mysterious MMC.

Hunter was an interesting FMC, I really enjoyed her curiosity and how that translated to her career in journalism - but also, girl why are you out roaming in national parks with possible serial killers lurking? 🤣 Her past and traumatic history made for an extra element of intrigue too.

This is the kind of book to read on a gloomy winter day, to match the atmosphere.

ALL HAIL MOTHMAN 🙌 🤣

Absolutely loved this.

This was a really fun book. Suspense, yearning, spice, mystery. Little bit of Stockholm but hey ya cant bag a cryptid on tinder. 🤷‍♀️

I enjoyed the FMCs sense of humour and the MMC was just this side of annoyingly self sacrificing.

The story was thoroughly enjoyable and for the most part well paced. Main carecters were well developed and recurrent side charecters didnt feel like window dressing either.

There's definitely an option here for more books from within this universe (looking at you bigfoot) that i really hope ginger considers writing!
