As we get closer and closer to the final showdown, the intensity progresses more and more. The plot doesn't let up one second, going from important backstories to heartbreaking character deaths, only to end with the saddest cliffhanger I've seen. I honestly can't expect anything of what's coming in the upcoming chapters, but I know I’m terrified of what the last chapters will offer.
The art matches perfectly the intensity of the plot. The eeriness of the art style always fits the horror aspect really well, but I was especially awed by the multiple paralleled between the fireworks and “Hikaru”’s true form.
All of this manages to grasp the reader’s heart—and potentially tear it to shreds. It’s so easy to empathize with these characters, and fall in love with them, even knowing things might not end happily for them.
Riko's story was so sad and ofc that company doesn't care about humans and only about their information and projects. This clearly shows how some humans are more of a monster then impurities. So that's riko's soul in that hamster that he always Carry around now I'm more sad.
Oh God i cried so much when the impurity of iori's dad showed up pet his head and went to close the hole and then his mother died as well Gosh why's everything just keep getting messed up it hurts so much iori lost his family again and again. And the way he trying to laugh it off as if he's okay made my heart ache so much.
Plus Takeda should feel guilty because he kept pushing for the ritual to continue because of his fear even though he knew it doesn't work. He also had to be saved by Kouhei that resulted in Kouhei dying. Love Yoshiki calling him a coward!!👏
But the company people that head woman they don't even look close to human to me... Seeing "Hikaru" tied up/treated horribly broke my heart! The fact that he is still thinking of Yoshiki as he's being tortured is sweet yet heartbreaking!! The fact that he remembered the "torture" word from Chapter 1...he knows he's being tortured 💔
And the contrast between the people at the fireworks festival looking in awe at the fireworks going off and the horror on the villagers faces as they look at "Hikaru's" true form is even more beautiful yet horrifying because souls have been compared to fireworks in TSHD. "Hikaru" may look like a firework, but he doesn't get the same treatment instead He is being forced to bare his version of a soul! 😭💔
Plus the way Hikaru's going through the worst time of his life and still he noticed and got excited about Yoshiki cutting his hair awwwwn please just let ma babys be together 😭💔🫂

The Company has finally captured "Hikaru", but their mission won't be complete unless they can get back his missing half, forcing Yoshiki and Asako to evade their agents - and help will only arrive once Tanaka and Kurebayashi close the next hole, so long as they can accept its truth...and its steep price. Mokumokuren will have readers glued to every moment of this chillingly emotional entry.
Se me escapan lágrimas solo de recordar y ver los paneles de Yoshiki finalmente aceptandose y perdiendo el miedo hacia Hikarun't. Los amo mis bebés, espero que vayan a ser felices al final:(
