After reading Midnight Sun and knowing the complexity of Edward's thoughts I desperately wanted to read New Moon from his point of view too. This book gave me exactly what I wanted to know about what Edward did when he was away from Bella and the author wrote Edward perfectly which is pretty incredible considering Stephanie Meyer created him. I think the only "complaint" I have is that I wished there were more pages of Edward's self-loathing and him feeling guilty, worthless, depressed, etc. I know you're probably like "why would you want to read that," and to be honest, I think it would just be super interesting. I also think it would have been cool if there were more added conversations between Bella and Edward. The only conversations or memories we get in this are ones that already appeared in Stephanie Meyer's original New Moon. I think adding memories and stuff that weren't in the original series would have added some more originality to the story. But overall, this was a great book and I'm so glad I read it. I'll definitely read the other books in this series as well.
When I read midnight sun part 2 by the author i felt that This would be just as awesome but this fell short for me.The first part of the book felt off.The characters portrayed were not the Edward and Bella that i loved.Jacobs involvement in the book was almost insignificant.the plot was kept intact and events that occurred were pretty accurate. But i just thought that the first few chapters had mundane conversations and fights that doesn't feel like the Edward and Bella created by Stephanie Meyer. But I really shouldn't have expected that. This Edward and Bella are characters created by another author. Its just that the last book was so good and this disappointed me a little.
Inspired by my recent Midnight Sun reading I decided to give this a try. I skipped out on it when I read Edward's other perspective books because well truth be known New Moon is by Far my least favorite in the series. However, I was pleasantly surprised to read about Edward's misery. I found it much preferable to the teen werewolf drama which I was very much Not a fan of. I also liked peering more into the Volturi, whom are my favorite part of the series.
Started reading this after i finished Midnight Sun - I wanted more of twilight from Edward's POV. My first intention was to read this at the same time as New Moon so as to get both POVs on the same scenes, but it was really tiring- i was more invested in this one, since it was a bit new.
I think it's really well written. Edward here is quite different from Midnight Sun's Edward - it's far less dramatic and pompous, but still a bit dramatic. It is far more sweet and caring, you don't see him as a cold creature, it becomes more human. It was really interesting to read about what he has doing while he left Bella in New Moon, and how did he feel.
Overall it is a good addition to the books, consistent with the canon but with new bits nonetheless. Lighter to read than the saga. I'll read the other parts when I'm back in the mood for a twilight marathon.
I physically had to hold back my tears while reading “There” and in the aftermath of “Roots” and “Rochina” because I was in public lol. I DID cry for “News”, because I was smart enough to read that part while I was alone double lol.
Considering it's not HER characters, this book is amazing! Still felt like it was a parody of them sometimes, but she captured their vibes quite well. The parts PA Lassiter did not take from the book felt right and in accordance to New Moon, so it really felt like it could be what happened in Meyer's head and that was just captivating! Though I have to admit I know now that a reason why I love Twilight so much is also Stephenie Meyer's writing (not that PA Lassiter's one was bad, just harder for someone whose english isn't their mother tongue)
I love all of your fan-fiction books of the Twilight Saga in Edward's POV!!! You did such an amazing and fantastic job writing all of them!!! Thank you so much for writing them for fan's like me who absolutely love all of the Twilight Saga books that Stephanie wrote!!! Reading the entire Twilight Saga from Edward's perspective is absolutely enthralling and entertaining!!! Thank you so much!!!
Not sure why I would say that I was “surprised” that I liked this so much. In the absence of a will by Stephenie Meyer to write the rest of the saga from Edward’s POV, this author of fan fiction has done a brilliant job and I found this better than Midnight Sun. A lot more engaging and less repetitive.

I really enjoyed reading this fanfic parallel to the New Moon novel by Stephenie Meyer. This book is the story told from Edward's POV. I found it enjoyable to read along with the similar chapters in the other novel that focuses more on Bella's take on things.
(also this book is insanely good, P.A. Lassiter really did her homework and captured even SM's style of writing, and it fits so organically with Midnight Sun i simply can't describe how happy it made me)
Stephanie Meyer's version was my favorite as a teenager. As an adult, this one appeals way more to me. Thank you, P.A. Lassiter, for making Edward come alive throughout the whole series
I am currently rereading the original series since Midnight Sun releases in 22 days! While on goodreads i stumbled upon the Midnight Sun 2008 Draft and P.A Lassiter's Edward point of views and decided to give it a try! Cheers to P.A Lassiter! The switch from Stephenie's writing to P.A Lassiter's writing was so smooth and flawless!! The continuation of the story from his point of view is fantastic! I really loved that so much care was put into making sure conversations and actions were kept to the originally intended yet we have received so much new material that seamlessly fits with the story! i really enjoyed it! Continuing on right away to Eclipse: Edward! High hopes for it!
It was a really good read. I feel like it flowed well from Stephanie Meyer's Midnight Sun. It definitely wasn't perfect though. The author focused too much on the tracking Victoria chapters and as a result, it was draggy and boring. Honestly, I skipped 4 chapters altogether. The author's writing style differs from Meyer's, but it's close enough that it doesn't seem too different. I am however really impressed with the writing considering that this was originally a fanfiction! Overall, I'd say that any Twilight fan or Twihard should definitely give this a go!
