The story itself had potential. I like Millie and her sisters. Craig seemed solid and sweet and Sam was adorable. It was the in consistencies I couldn’t get past.

One minute Miranda died giving birth to Sam. Then Craig had a picture of her holding baby Sam at the hospital. Then Sam has memories of her. But then Craig says they took Sam to the Henderson bbq together but then we’re back to her dying and the doctors having said they could save the baby but not her.

Craig remembers her sisters from school, but not her. She’s only been gone 3 years and it’s a small town. How did they not know each other?

One minute he lives across the street, next it’s a five minute walk for her to get to his house. And he asks her if she needs direction to…across the street?

They’re eating pizza but Millie is twirling pasta with her fork

Craig saying “you’d make a good mother some day.” Is a weird thing to say to a woman you just met.

If Craig was just invited by Millie to the cookout why does Sam say when he runs down the stairs that his dad said they were invited to a party by her. There was no time between Millie’s invitation and Sam running downstairs for Craig to have told him that.

Does Garcia make the jalapeño poppers or does Mrs Henderson?

Craig was worried that Millie had left before he got home when she text him she needed to leave early. Did he think she would just leave Sam alone?

Millie says in chapter 11 that when she left David she ran before dawn while he slept. No she didn’t. She left while he was at work.

The whole interaction of Amanda coming into the bedroom while Millie is freaking out and stopping in the middle of talking to say she didn’t realize Millie had company when Craig is behind her then immediately says she couldn’t get rid of him. Those two things contradict each other.

When Millie passes out at the bbq Craig is acting like he didn’t know she was pregnant when just last chapter she told him she was. And her sisters are totally ok letting Craig take her to the hospital and not go themselves? That’s their sister and Craig doesn’t even know her very well

The end of chapter 13 ends with Millie asking the nurse to get Craig and when he comes in she tells him what happened and they get ready to leave. In chapter 14 it says Millie agreed to let Craig come back after he asked and what happens when he gets in the room is totally different than what happened in Millie’s pov of the same interaction.

Millie acting like she’s going to leave the hospital and surprised when Craig says he’ll take her home when he was the one that drove her.

I stopped keeping count after that. If the author could clean up her mistakes and have someone edit this and make sure things are consistent then it would be a good little book. As it stands, all the inconsistency and contradictions made it hard to finish let alone enjoy.

Really bad

It was bad. Editing was bad, with parts confused, timelines mixed up and chunk of story must have been missed. On one page they have just discussed their relationship, then the next page but the next page within a day its been days of discussing their relationship and he's talked propsing to her sister. She tells him she's pregnant when he visits at her house, then in the next chapter she's saying she's pregnant and he is shocked to find this out.

Loved the concept of this book but I feel like it was extremely rushed. Big chunks of time were missing. I feel like Millie’s pregnancy wasn’t mentioned enough it was almost as if for 1/2 of the book it wasn’t mentioned anything about her pregnancy. I loved the characters but really wanted more from them! If there was more to it and a good timeline I would have loved it.

meh

I’m sorry, but this is very poorly written, it jumps all over the place, and left me quite confused, never mind the fact that it was just weird. I finished it but it was meh..
